Now cured of his programming, Gilzean betrays Cobblepot and Theo Galavan murders his mother, though Cobblepot manages to escape, vowing to kill Theo in revenge. This week it was time to "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon" to the Gotham City Police Department as we discuss Episode 13 of Gotham which aired in the UK on Monday 23rd March 2015. In this episode of Gotham Jim Gordon returns to the G.C.P.D. and carries on exactly where he left off before his demotion to Arkham Asylum. He starts an internal investigation among his fellow officers and detectives following a killing of a low-level and seemingly insignificant drug gang member. Oswald Cobblepott's dreams come true, for a moment as he takes ownership of Fish's old club; and we really get a taste of Gabe, Oswald's right-hand man, as he acts on a favour for Jim Gordon by The Penguin. Whilst at Wayne Manor Cat has some bad news for Master Bruce. We discuss our top five case points for Episode 13 of Gotham including the emergence of the right hand men (Butch Gilzean, Victor Zsasz and Harvey Bullock), the reshuffle of the gangster elements in Gotham, Jim Gordon's support group, Edward Nygma and Kristine Kringle's blossoming relationship and of course that final showdown in Fish Mooney's club. Feedback As was pointed out by Detective Dillon The Electocutioner/Jack Gruber really reminds us of some versions of Hugo Strange from the comics. HUGO STRANGE - JACK GRUBER We also had some great twitter feedback from Channel 5 viewers, listeners and some of the actors on Gotham during our live tweet of Gotham Welcome Back Jim Gordon including Zabrena Guevara, Erin Richards, Drew Powell, J.W. Cortez and Tom Calderone. The music at the end of this weeks episode is Hanni El Khatib's song Family from his album Heatseekers. This song was used in Fish Mooney's club in Welcome Back Jim Gordon when Oswald has had a bit too much champagne. Join us again next week as we discuss episode 14 of Gotham The Fearsome Dr. Crane. Directed by John Behring and written by John Stephens who also wrote The Baloonman and The Mask. We're excited to see the back story of one of our favourite Batman villains. Gotham TV Podcast - The longest running podcast about Gotham on Fox
Welcome back everyone! After 3-months off-air Gotham is back on Channel 5, which means we're back too...and it feels good to be podcasting again about Gotham after so long! This weeks episode of Gotham Rogues Gallery, released as a back-to-back feature episode on Channel 5 with Episode 12 of Gotham ("What the Little Bird told Him"), was written by Sue Chung and directed by Oz Scott. Jim Gordon begins life as a prison guard at Arkham Asylum after his very public demotion by the Mayor, but trouble never seems too far away as bodies with troubling scars either side of their forehead begin to show up within Arkham. Jim calls in his former partner Harvey Bullock to help investigate the murders, which appear to have been experimented on using electro-therapy. A mass breakout from Arkham orchestrated by the culprit, an inmate by the name of Jack Gruber, sees him escape along with his most promising experiment to date. In the meantime, Fish begins to contemplate her most audacious move against the Don Falcone just as questions are raised over the loyalty of her right-hand man - Butch Gilzean. Despite everything going on in the Arkham and Gotham a new romance develops as a spark ignites between the now single Jim Gordon and the Arkham's physician, Doctor Leslie Thompkins. News Thanks to Detectives Fisher and Butcher for sharing a big spoiler about a major character leaving Gotham at the end of Season one. Click the story here if you dare. Barbara Kean returns to Gotham to discover Ivy Pepper and Selina Kyle in her apartment. Elsewhere, Fish Mooney plans to save herself and the other prisoners when they discover that they were kidnapped so that their organs can be harvested. When a snake dancer at Haly's Circus named Lila Valeska is murdered, James Gordon and Leslie Tompkins investigate as the Flying Graysons and the Lloyds are suspects. An old psychic named Paul Cicero approaches Gordon, claiming to have received a message from the dead dancer. James is skeptical and thinks the psychic is covering up for the killer. Upon deducing that her son, Jerome (Cameron Monaghan), is the killer and Cicero is his father, Jerome has a psychotic breakdown and confesses to the murder claiming to have hated her for her insistent "nagging." When customers begin to steadily decrease at Oswald Cobblepot's newly obtained club, Zsasz gives Cobblepot a tortured and brainwashed Butch Gilzean who he says is knowledgeable when it comes to maintaining clubs and has been been "working on him" for days. Taking advice from Selina and Ivy, Barbara attempts to re-unite with James but is enraged when she sees him kissing Leslie, though neither of them notice her. Bruce holds a board meeting at Wayne Enterprises and voices concern to the executives that the company is involved with illegal activities. John Grayson and Mary Lloyd get engaged after the dispute between the two families are resolved. Mooney tells the lead captor at the prison named Thomas Schmidt that she would like to meet with his boss.

Jack Gruber and Aaron Helzinger escape from Arkham Asylum and are on a rampage through Gotham. James Gordon promises the Commissioner he will arrest Gruber within 24 hours and he is reinstated as a detective for that time. Edward Nygma tells Gordon and Bullock that Jack Gruber is an alias of Jack Buchinsky, a former bank robber for the mafia who was betrayed by Salvatore Maroni. Fish Mooney makes her move against Falcone and "abducts" Liza. Gordon and Bullock put Maroni under protective custody to use as bait to attract Buchinsky to the police station. Falcone discovers that Mooney is behind Liza's abduction, and is offered a deal. Falcone is to sign his crime family over to Mooney's gang in exchange for the opportunity for him and Liza to leave for Italy. Buchinsky attacks the police station in search of Maroni. Gordon, protected by rubber boots provided by Nygma, is immune to the initial attack and thwarts Buchinsky's bomb. Before Falcone goes through with the deal, Cobblepot informs him that Liza was always working for Mooney. Falcone confronts Mooney and Liza at the former's club, and strangles Liza to death. Victor Zsaz and several mercenaries working for Falcone then take both Mooney and Butch Gilzean prisoner, while the Don gives Cobblepot a chance to mock his former boss, as he has inherited her nightclub as well as what is left of her gang. For living up to his end of the deal, Gordon is reinstated as a detective.
