American film and television actor and director
POPULARITY
Pena Dura brought hard times for Riddler and Jim. Riddler struggles to find out who is controlling him. We find out that Jim's buddy Eduardo is here to take over Gotham not save it. Jim is not onboard with Theresa Walker's dark plan for the city. Hard Reboot for Riddler's Brain: ©Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jeff Neumann/FOX Riddler is confronted by Jim and Eduardo, but due to sharp thinking and traps he makes it out. The GCPD and Delta Force announce to the city that Ed was behind the attack on Haven. The citizens of Gotham proclaim the hard sentence of death on Ed. They are hunting him down. He gets blindsided and knocked out. A crazy family decide to electrocute him via car. Ed pulls a Brer Rabbit and tricks his way out, but not before a few shocks. They bring back a memory of Oswald saying he was going to fix Ed. Ed slips into city hall. Here Ed and Oswald have a powerful talk. This scene was well written and amazingly acted. Oswald says that he was trying to help Ed and got Hugo to save him. If anyone is controlling Ed it would be Hugo. They both pledge to confront each other openly and face to face. The status of their friendenemy relationship has been restored. Ed heads to Sirens and seeks info from Babs. She hears him out and decides to help. She tells Ed where he can find the men to take him to Hugo Strange. Ed sneaks in to Hugo’s lab in a bodybag. Hugo is surprised and intrigued. Riddler wants to know how Hugo controlled him. It seems the not so good doctor, fixed Ed and put in a control chip in his head. But the control was left to others. Hugo paralyzes Ed and reboots the chip. A Hard Break Between Friends: ©2019 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jeff Neumann/FOX Jim and Harvey tracked down the dealer that sold the RPG. He is watching the movie "Tangier Incident." (Thanks to our buddy and S1 actor Joe The Cop a.k.a Thomas Calderone for that info.) They turn out to be outgunned. Then the calvary er, I mean Delta Force shows up. Eduardo Dorrance (Shane West) is in charge and saves Jim's bacon. Theresa Walker sent Delta Force in to retake the city. They start to work with the GCPD to take back the city district by district. Jim and Eduardo loose Riddler, but renew their friendship. Eduardo and Jim served together and saved each other’s lives. It seems like hope has come to Gotham. They get word Ed was seen at city hall. Harvey and Eduardo take out Oswald’s men and take him in. Oswald reasons with Jim and give him the scoop on Hugo and Ed. In turn Jim lets Oswald go. Jim and Eduardo track down Ed and Hugo just in time. Ed is unfrozen and spills the beans about the chip and being controlled. About that time, Eduardo pulls out the remote and freezed Ed. Theresa Walker wants to take the city and wants Jim to be the head, but Jim has to kill Ed to do it. Jim fakes out Eduardo and escapes. Eduardo sends Ed after him. Hard Times For Bat & Cat: ©Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jeff Neumann/FOX Bruce is filled in on the Delta Force arrival by Alfred. Bruce is taking what is happening to Selina personally and he wants to fix it. Alfred tries to break him out of it, but it does not work. Bruce finally finds Selina at Sirens. Babs and the ladies are cheering Selina for killing Jeremiah. Bruce and Selina talk at the bar. He is trying to have her see the light. He says he knows her and this is not her. She says she was there when his parents were killed and she did nothing. That is who she is. It is a hard time for this couple and things don’t look to get better any time soon. It Is Hard To Kill This Joker er Jeremiah: ©Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Jeff Neumann/FOX Jeremiah wakes up in the tunnel. He is sore and stitched up. Ecco make armor for him, but he had to convince Bruce and Selina he was dead. Ecco and the crew have broken through. The tunnel comes up through the batoffice. Jeremiah and Ecco enter Wayne Manor via secret access through the fireplace. He has had a doctor do surgery on a couple to look like Mr. & Mrs. Wayne. It looks like Jeremiah is going to use them to shatter Bruce’s world. Closing Thoughts: Pena Dura was not as hard on us as Ruin, but it set up a great deal of the season. The acting between Robin Lord Taylor and Cory Michael Smith was outstanding. These two have played off of each other for 5 seasons and it shows. BD Wong tore up his two short scenes. He seems to relish and enjoy his role as Hugo. Hard times are ahead for Gotham, but we cannot wait to see what is next! News: 13 Stitches: Gordon assembles an unlikely team to protect Gotham from Eduardo Dorrance (guest star Shane West) and his Delta Force. Just as Lee Thompkins resurfaces, Barbara reveals shocking news that will change Gordon’s life forever. Meanwhile, Selina and Penguin team up to outsmart fellow villain Magpie (guest star Sarah Schenkkan) in the all-new “13 Stitches” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Feb. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed) gets ready for a fundraiser on behalf of the orphanage, but as Penguin’s (Robin Lord Taylor) suspicions of her continue to grow he entrusts a young agent, Martine (Christopher Convery) to keep a silent but watchful eye on her. As the fundraiser kicks off things don't go as planned when Professor Pyg shows up as the chef to force a tasty treat on the power brokers of Gotham. “Vive la revolution!” As he holds them to account Jim thwarts his plan and the Pyg is captured. However, as the dust settles on events a Penguin’s spy reports a new piece of information to Oswald that will have ramifications for Jim and Sophia. It's our final episode of the season as we get together for our Gotham S02E22 Transference Podcast the season two finale. In this extra long episode we also discuss our top 5 points of the Gotham Season 2 Finale. Synopsis for Gotham S02E22 Transference Podcast Directed by: Eagle Egilsson Written by: Bruno Heller Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) are trapped at Indian Hill, held prisoners by Hugo Strange (BD Wong) as Basil disguised as Jim Gordon draws the GCPD away from Arkham Asylum. In the basement, Hugo Strange, using truth serum on Jim, along with Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), using the threat of poison gas on Bruce and Lucius, question the three hostages to find out what they really know about who controls Gotham. At the same time Strange prepares to evacuate all of his test subjects up State and detonate a bomb to destroy all evidence of Indian Hill at the command of the secretive Council. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) has other plans and gains control of Miss Peabody who allows her to break free of her cell. Fish wreaks havoc in Indian Hill thwarting Strange's escape plan. As Bruce, Jim and Lucius also escape, aided by Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), they manage to stop the bomb just in the nick of time to save Arkham and apprehend Strange. However, Fish escapes Arkham in a bus loaded with Indian Hill inmates but encounters old friends - Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell) - who mistakenly think they are taking out Professor Strange. As Butch and his gang flee at the sight of a resurrected Fish Mooney, a shocked Oswald is put to sleep by her newfound powers. In the aftermath, Jim leaves Gotham to find Leslie Thompkins, Harvey grudgingly accepts his role as Captain of the GCPD, Bruce sets his sights on the secretive Court much to the irritation of Alfred (Sean Pertwee) and the city of Gotham will be met with a new threat as Strange's creations escape the bus and start their new lives in Gotham. It's another Flopcast convention report, this time from Boston Comic Con! (Official convention motto: "Let's see how many Harley Quinns we can squish into one building!" It sounds better in the original Latin.) There were comic books aplenty, of course, including at least one amoeba-themed mini-comic. (Say goodbye to the X-Men; amoeba comics are the wave of the future.) There were amazing costumes everywhere -- and one of those Harley Quinns even had a rubber chicken. (This is important to us.) And there were celebrities lurking about too, including Gotham's Robin Lord Taylor, 30 Rock's Judah Friedlander, Agent Carter's Hayley Atwell, and the Mistress of the Dark herself, ELVIRA! (We're still sort of freaking out about Elvira.) And in non-convention news: Kornflake has another hammock-themed adventure and checks out the new Minions movie, Kevin nearly gets run over by the roller-disco stars of Xanadu, we celebrate National Lazy Day (or not, whatever), and we remember Rowdy Roddy Piper. Also, yeah, there was a weird juggling incident.

In the penultimate episode of Gotham season one we discuss Episode 21 of Gotham The Anvil or the Hammer on Episode 46 of Gotham TV Podcast. This episode was great, we loved it, Gotham The Anvil or the Hammer was in parts gruesome, edgy, sassy and fraught with danger for all the main protagonists. Written by Jordan Harper and directed by Paul A. Edwards this is definitely one of the best episodes of the season so far. The Ogre (Milo Ventimiglia) reveals his true intentions to Barbara (Erin Richards) as he slowly, but surely begins to emotionally break her! With these disturbing developments the G.C.P.D's investigation intensifies as Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) track him to an out-of-town location after a surprising personal testimony from an employee of the Fox Glove nightclub, a previous haunt of Jason "The Ogre" Lennon. As they close in on the Ogre, Barbara's life and the lives of people close to her are in deadly jeopardy. All the while, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) begins to move his pieces on the chess board that is Gotham as he seeks to begin the turf war between the rival gangs of Don Maroni (David Zayas) and Don Falcone (John Doman). As the chaos begins so Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) finds himself in turmoil as he must come to terms with revelations about his father - Thomas Wayne; and Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) must clean up after his actions from the night before, but all with a sly sense of humour and, of course, a clue!. The outro music for this week is again the The with their fantastic tune "Boiling Point" someone loves their UK indie music over in Gotham we suspect Danny Cannon and Bruno Heller. Join us again next week for the season finale of Gotham as we discuss Episode 22 All Happy Families Are Alike. Don't forget that we will also be drawing the winner of our competition for the signed Christopher Uminga print of Oswald Cobblepot , the first five issues of Gotham By Midnight with art by Ben Templesmith and more goodies. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) continues to get closer to Gotham's first serial killer before he tracks down his loved one Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin). But Jim has misjudged the intentions of Jason "The Ogre" Lennon (Milo Ventimiglia) as he meets the down on her luck, but not on her inheritance, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) and begins what could be a lasting relationship. In another Gotham love story a jealous and protective water-melon soaked Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) continues to vie for the affections of Kristin Kringle (Chelsea Spack) and disapprove of her new boyfriend Tom (Zachary Spicer). Meanwhile Sal Maroni (David Zayas) reveals Oswald's (Robin Lord Taylor) big secret to Gertrude Kapelput (Carol Kane) with disastrous consequences for a local delivery boy. Ever since Gotham joined FOX's Monday night line up, fans have made it abundantly clear it's a major hit! FOX announced Saturday they are renewing the DC Comic based series for another season and I couldn't be happier! While there are some incredible talents heading up the cast, including Ben McKenzie and Jada Pinkett Smith; I'd say the breakout star of the series is Robin Lord Taylor who plays the duplicitous, devious "Penquin". But no matter who is your favorite, this series about Gotham and its criminal element, as well as depiction of heroes and villains, their roads to inevitable destinies has captures fans young and old. Join me tonight with my special guests from the Gotham podcast and Gotham Addicts chat about the season thus far!

As Gotham is still on a mid-season break in the UK and Ireland, Gotham TV Podcast chat about the graphic novel Batman Hush (Volume 1 Collected; Issues #1-5). Written by Jeph Loeb with art by Jim Lee and Scott Williams this story arc was originally released as Batman 608-612. Notable about this story is the introduction of the character Tommy Elliot (Played by Cole Vallis in Episode 8 of Gotham "The Mask") and which features flashbacks to his childhood friendship with the Young Bruce Wayne. We talk about the main story and our impressions of Batman Hush Volume One. Remember you can email us at feedback@gothamtvpodcast.com or email john@gothamtvpodcast.com or derek@gothamtvpodcast.com Gotham News ⦁ Gotham has been officially renewed by Fox in the US for a second season. At the Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter event on Saturday 17th January Co-Chairman and CEO of Fox, Dana Walden, said that Fox "love the show" and they've told the team behind the hit show "keep doing what you're doing". This is great news. ⦁ Other great news revolves around RTE in Ireland who have officially confirmed that Gotham will premiere on RTÉ2 beginning Monday 26th January at 9pm. They've even released a brand new trailer. This should hopefully mean a wider audience is reached for the show in Ireland. ⦁ Robin Lord-Taylor fans have been asking one question regularly for months. What do previous actors who play the character think about his performance as the young Oswald Cobblepot on Gotham? Well the answer was given at the TCA's this weekend when Danny DeVito (there to promote "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia") was asked about his opinion about Robin Lord-Taylor. He told AccessHollywood.com "I've watched the show. I think he's a very good young Penguin" ,"He's a terrific actor,". A ringing endorsement. ⦁ It's also been announced that the future father of Dick Grayson, John Grayson will be played by Rob Gorrie. The circus will roll into Gotham in Episode 16 carrying with it the Flying Graysons. The episode is titled "The Blind Fortune Teller". As Gotham takes place during the young years of Bruce Wayne, John Grayson will be a much younger character so we won't see any appearance of Dick Grayson in the show. DC Connected News ⦁ Former Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy has dropped out of his second DC movie "Suicide Squad" due to scheduling conflicts. The current movie he's filming, "The Revenant", has run over so he's unable to take on the role of Rick Flag in "Suicide Squad" which starts filming in April 2014. Thanks for listening we'll be covering Volume 2 of Hush in our next podcast as Gotham is still on hiatus in Ireland and the UK; returning to Channel 5 for the second half of season one in March. Exclusive: Here's our Erin Richards Gotham interview where she discusses her thoughts on the character of Barbara, her relationship with Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon, how she deals with attention from fans and the strong characters on the show. Ahead of the UK release of Gotham on Channel 5 Gotham TV Podcast were lucky enough to sit down at a roundtable at New York Comic Con 2014 to discuss Gotham and what we can expect from future episodes in season one with Executive Producer Danny Cannon and five members of the cast (Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Sean Pertwee, Donal Logue and Ben McKenzie) about their thoughts on the show, their characters and what could be coming in Season one of the show. The roundtable includes questions from other journalists present and our own questions to the cast and creator. You can listen to the full podcast below with all the interviews or read on for the full transcript. Question - How did you get the job of Barbara Kean in Gotham and how did you prepare for the part of Barbara Kean in the legendary city, did any tell you what you must do? Erin Richards - Firstly nobody told me to do anything! I got the job during pilot season through a round of auditions with our fabulous creators Bruno and Danny, who are Brits which is nice [laughs]. I got the job and was over the moon. I have always loved Batman and working with these guys is always fantastic. On such an incredible and highly anticipated series at the time, I then sort of went about going back over the movies which I have always enjoyed and watching all of those again and then read Batman Year One [by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli] which is the comic that Barbara appears in. But for me Barbara is a bit of an open book because she is not in the comic books that often and also she's in her finished form, so for me it was about just about finding something that was interesting and relevant and would work with what Ben has created in Jim Gordon so that we could really forge an interesting story and a dynamic that people would really want to watch. Question - What about the chemistry between yourself and Ben McKenzie, it's a key pivotal relationship in the show so I guess you are bouncing off one another? E.R. - We get on great as people, we went to watch him do a radio play the previous night. The whole cast are really supportive of one another and we hang out a lot. I get on really well with Ben. We approach acting in the same way and have really similar backgrounds. We both did Politics degrees and the first time we met we had a lot to talk about, which is really nice to get on with each other because we do a lot of pretending together as actors. Though its not too hard with Ben he's a good looking guy. Question - There's so much attention on this show, what's it like interacting with the fans when there is so much anticipation, do you tune it out? E.R. - I don't think we need to tune it out. I really enjoy on twitter interacting with the fans and I like getting questions about my character. We feel a great sense of pride, affection and responsibility - isn't that like a Batman thing, no its Spider-man [Laughs]. We feel a lot of responsibility to the fans as they are really in to Batman and we really want to deliver a programme that they are interested in and are proud of, as we're up against the big boys, the films and what's in everyone's mind, so were hoping to deliver a beginning, as we are telling the origin story, and that it fits with what they have grown to love. https://media.blubrry.com/gothamtvpodcast/gothamtvpodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Erin-Richards-v2-Strength-of-women.mp4 Gotham TV Podcast Question - One of the big things about Gotham is the strength of the female characters in the show. Can you tell us something about Barbara's strength and where she gets it from and where she brings it to? E.R. - Bruno Heller, our fantastic creator, writes amazing female characters.
