It is time to do a series wrap of Gotham. Now that the season is over and we have had time to reflect on the season and the series as a whole, it is time for you, our Undercover Agents to share. We discuss characters, actors, and storylines. My Series Wrap Thoughts: So here are are my series wrap thoughts. I heard about this series and it was billed as a GCPD centered series. I thought it would be an interesting change of pace and view on things. I came to the series and the podcast and was ready to talk. Season 1 was strong with the other characters. I enjoyed season 1 however, Fish Mooney drew the series down for me. The creators made a role for Jada and it just didn't work. It may have brought viewers to the show having her on it but, for me it didn't work. I also hated Barbara. They didn't know what to do with her and she was annoying. But overall, I really dug it. When asked to become the co-host for season 2, I jumped at the chance. Season 2 of Gotham saw the show flourish. We saw the introduction of Jerome and the cult of the Joker, the Galavan's and so much more. The season hit on all cylinders. It was powerful and made me love the series. Season 3 saw more villains rise and our heroes having to stand firm in the face of the great opposition. We saw the Court of The Owls and our buddy Hugo Strange. Again it was another strong season. Season 4 was flat out amazing. Joker, Professor Pyg, Ra's al ghoul, and Stabby Babs were all fighting to rule the city. Bruce had to take major steps in his journey to be come Batman. Jim was stretched to the breaking point. We had Lee standing up for the the people of the Narrows and Ed/Riddler becoming her love. It was probably my favorite season. Season 5 was, for the most, part very good. I really felt the effects from the fact that they were given an initial episode count and then had it extended. They handled it well, but it was a bit uneven. I felt like the penultimate episode was really the season finale and the last episode was a look ahead. I felt both could have been 2 hours long to cover what needed to happen. Over all, I was happy with the season but, truly wish they had kept Camren as Selina for the last episode. While the show moved more to more of an evolution of Bruce into Batman, the core of the show was always Jim Gordon. He had to be Gotham's defender until Batman could take it all on. We saw a growth of Jim through the series as he went from a new detective fighting the darkness to a commissioner ready to use all of the tools around him to defend and protect the city. Bruce's growth was huge. The weight and calling on his life grew and he thankfully learned much from Alfred and Jim. He still has a way to go to be that fully formed Batman but, he is on his way. The whole cast of characters grew and evolved. I was quite happy with how they were written and acted. I personally like Donal's portrayal of Harvey best out off all of the portrayals of the character. BD Wong's Hugo was wonderful. But the stand outs in my mind are Camren, Robin, Cory and Cameron. These actors had small roles before Gotham but, they grew so much during the series, it was amazing. They inhabited their characters and really shined. I cannot wait to see what they do next. Your Series Wrap Thoughts: You really made this podcast with all of your thoughts through the years. I really wish we could have had series wrap thoughts from all of you. But we did have a great group of folks leave us feedback. It was wonderful to hear what you had to say! Closing Thoughts: I want to say thank you to GSM's co-founder Darrell Darnell for allowing this podcast on the network and for allowing me to be a part. Thank you to Tim Arthur and Ryan Boyles for getting this podcast started in Season 1. Thanks to Karen Lindsay and John McGrail for joining me on the ride ever since. We are grateful to be small part of the Gotham family and the GSM group of shows. But most of all we thank YOU our Undercover Agents for being a part of the community for 5 seasons. You have faithfully left feedback, commented on blog posts and tweets, and been very active in our Facebook group. We are so thankful for you! Some of you have been with the podcast since season 1 episode 1 and some of you found us in season 5. Regardless we are so grateful to have your voices in the community. Podcasting is about connecting people with a shared passion and giving us an out let to share our thoughts. We are so glad we have you! Cougar's Comic Corner: To get you prepared for Batwoman, here are links to volumes 1-6 of Batwoman (New 52). They are a great read and worth your time! Batwoman Vol. 1: Hydrology Batwoman Vol. 2: To Drown the World Batwoman Vol. 3: World's Finest Batwoman Vol. 4: This Blood is Thick Batwoman Vol. 5: Webs Batwoman Vol. 6: The Unknowns News: OK Undercover Agents, now that we have the series wrap complete I have some news for you. As you know, this season of the podcast has been different because our Scarlet Cougar, Karen, has had health issues that have kept her away. Unfortunately they are preventing her from podcasting for the near future. This breaks her heart, and ours! I love podcasting with Karen and it has been rough this season without her voice. I missed her extensive knowledge, in depth analysis, and her personality.  John has been my co-pilot and a great co-host this season. However, he needs to put his full focus on Maid of Steel. So I had to think about things. I have been talking about us covering Batwoman this Fall. I spent the Spring reading the first several volumes of the New 52 introduction of Batwoman. The storylines are powerful and she has some great villains. I think story-wise they will have great material to work with and awesome characters. I fully intend on watching the series to see what they do. I am a bit concerned about if the CW will push the politics and agendas that, to me, draw Supergirl down. I'm afraid it will be even more heavy pushed. That gives me pause. When I podcast on things, I want to be able to come to it with passion and positivity. I just don't know if I can do that for Batwoman. All that to say, Karen and I will not be covering Batwoman on Gotham Undercover. At this point, it is unclear if other hosts on the network will pick it up and cover the show. But stay tuned to the Facebook group. We will offer you a place to discuss Gotham, Batwoman and all things Batman related there. If someone decides to cover Batwoman on GSM you will hear it there first. I will be podcasting with my buddy Wayne on season 2 of Castle Rock on our Castle Rocks Zone here on GSM. Sound Off: What were your series wrap thought? We would love to know! As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 3 hours of DCTV this week: Gotham 2-Part Season 3 Finale - Part 1: The Tetch virus threw the city into chaos. Jim tried fighting the virus and kept getting calls from Lee begging him to give in. Turns out Hugo Strange developed a cure, but Fish Mooney snatched him up (GODAMMIT, WHY IS SHE STILL ALIVE!!!). Oswald, Freeze and Firefly joined them on a quest for the antidote and got cornered by ninja assassins. Jim went full-Tetch, killed all the ninjas and Fish (HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU, JESUS!!!). The cure was destroyed but Hugo could make more. He just needed blood from Jervis Tetch, who was just snatched up by Ed, Babs, and a jilted Butch and Tabitha. Alfred tried getting through to Bruce with mixed results. Bruce slipped away and wandered into a secret room to discover a Lazarus Pit and Ra's al-Ghul. Last Minute Reveal: Ra's al-Ghul believed Bruce could be his true heir and asked him to prove himself by killing Alfred. Alfred tried playing the nostalgia card, but Bruce put a Samurai sword through his chest!   Part 2 - Bruce felt horrible for stabbing Alfred. Ra's al-Ghul vanished, leaving Bruce to save Alfred with the Lazarus Pit. Jim tried trading Oswald to Ed in exchange for Tetch. Things went sideways. Oswald led Ed into a trap and had Mr. Freeze put him on ice. Butch was anxious to kill Babs, but Babs got wise and shot Butch in the head. Butch survived somehow and we learned his real name is Cyrus Gold. Tabitha electrocuted Babs to death and took Selena on as an apprentice. Jim and Harvey got Tetch's blood for the cure. Jim finally gave into Lee's calls and joined her. Harvey slipped Jim the antidote. Jim cured Lee and himself. Lee skipped town, hoping Jim and Gotham could save each other. Last Minute Reveal: A family was cornered in an alley by a thug, but were rescued by a mysterious figure in black. The figure was Bruce, who climbed a rooftop and looked out over the city!   iZombie- As a favor to Peyton, Liv scrambled eggs with James Weckler's brain. His mental illness caused Liv to hallucinate her dead boyfriend Drake. The extra-long visions helped Liv discover Weckler was murdered by a guard. Unfortunately that guard “fell off a boat” and drowned. Clive and Liv tried talking to Weckler's daughter Tatum but she was hiding the fact that she's a zombie. Major had an extended sleepover with Shawna. They built a fort in the living room. Stacey Boss tried killing Blaine but ended up getting forcefully persuaded to become Blaine's new business partner. Harley Johns and the Zombie Haters tied up and starved Don waiting for him to go full Romero. Ravi frantically called Blaine asking for help. Last Minute Reveal: While Liv and Blaine pumped each other up to save Don, Harley Johns was ready to start the torture. Ravi pleaded for mercy, but Harley put a gun to Ravi's head and demanded he step aside!

Welcome to the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday June 3rd, 2017, as submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 3 new episodes this week, including a penultimate episode and a finale. Lots of excitement ahead: Gotham - Penultimate Episode – The Shaman executed the remaining leaders of the Court of Owls and put Bruce in charge of detonating a bomb that would release the Tetch virus and wipe Gotham's slate clean. Lee kidnapped Jim and buried him alive in a park with a walkie-talkie and the Tetch virus. Harvey let Alfred beat the bomb's location out of Hugo Strange. Harvey tried finding Jim's coffin but time ran out, so Jim took the virus, punched his way out of the grave and ran for the bomb. Ed got Babs, Tabitha, Butch and even Selena to help him track down Oswald. Things looked bad for Pengy until Fish Mooney dropped in (Goddammit! WHY IS SHE STILL ALIVE!!!), and snatched him away from Ed. Last Minute Reveal: Lee stopped Jim and Alfred shot the Shaman, but not before the Tetch bomb went off. Bruce watched the Shaman die after mentioning something about “the Demon's Head.” Bruce blamed Alfred for ruining his mission before being carried away by the cops!   Lucifer - Season 2 Finale – Chet's body was found in a lot and Chloe was on the case. One of crew that disposed of the body also turned up roasted. Turns out Chet's brother, Hector, did it and was out to kill Charlotte. Amenadiel realized he was God's favorite and had second thoughts about using the Flaming Sword of Eden. Charlotte tortured Dr. Linda and met with Chloe at a carnival. Amenadiel slowed time to help Maze get Linda to a hospital. Luci used that time to save Charlotte from Hector and cut open a void with the sword for Charlotte to enter and create a new life for herself. Later that night, Luci was ready to tell Chloe the whole truth until he was knocked out from behind. Last Minute Reveal: Lucifer woke up half-naked in the desert… with his wings!   iZombie - Liv baked a brain pot pie from a D&D Dungeon Master who was poisoned. The FBI took over the case because the victim was also a high-level hacker. This led to an awkward moment between Clive and his old flame Dale. Major found hate mail Ravi was hiding and set up a blind date with a girl named Shawna. Peyton asked Floyd Baracus for help looking into the death of James Weckler. He refused and then was shot at a fundraiser. Blaine experimented with a blue-soaked brain. Don stole some and went crazy. Ravi told the Zombie Haters about his cure to try and convince them not to kidnap Zombies. Instead Harley Johns kidnapped Don and asked Ravi to try his cure on him. Last Minute Reveal: A car pulled into Seattle and Mr. Boss popped out of the trunk, ready to settle some debts!

Oh… okay. But she’s still scary enough to make Bruce agree to stop investigating them, Indian Hill, his parents’ murders… pretty much he has to promise to butt out and be a freaking kid.  Except when he gets back home, doppleganger shows up.In the end, Jim and Valerie finally break all of the two-episode sexual tension and get down while Lee Thompkins gets off a train in the 1940s… or present day Gotham. SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #211 - Gotham 3x02 - Mad City: Burn the Witch | Recap & ReviewGordon and Vale track down Fish Mooney… who has in turn kidnapped Bullock and forced him to tell her the location of Professor Hugo Strange in hopes that he can save her from death… And raise her an army of monsters...  Penguin is causing a hub-bub, getting angry mobs together to do what he claims the police can’t – kill Fish and the Indian Hill monsters.  At the end of the day, the police, penguin, and penguin’s mob show up where the government and police are holding Strange to get Fish once and for all.  Jim sneaks in, makes a deal with Fish to save Bullock, and delivers her into the hands of Penguin.  Fish talks her way out of death by Oswald, though.Somewhere in there, we have the new Ivy who murders a nice guy who didn’t water some plants. Also happening this episode, Bruce has a meeting with a ghoulish representative of the Court of Owls named… Catherine? I think that’s what we were supposed to see.

It's our final episode of the season as we get together for our Gotham S02E22 Transference Podcast the season two finale. Along with a chat about the Channel 5 premiere event attended by Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord-Taylor and Cory Michael Smith which Derek attended, we also discuss our experience at Starfury Ultimates, which John and Derek both attended and featured Gotham guests Drew Powell, Camren Bicondova and Robin Lord Taylor. In this extra long episode we also discuss our top 5 points of the Gotham Season 2 Finale. Synopsis for Gotham S02E22 Transference Podcast Directed by: Eagle Egilsson Written by: Bruno Heller Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) are trapped at Indian Hill, held prisoners by Hugo Strange (BD Wong) as Basil disguised as Jim Gordon draws the GCPD away from Arkham Asylum. In the basement, Hugo Strange, using truth serum on Jim, along with Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), using the threat of poison gas on Bruce and Lucius, question the three hostages to find out what they really know about who controls Gotham. At the same time Strange prepares to evacuate all of his test subjects up State and detonate a bomb to destroy all evidence of Indian Hill at the command of the secretive Council. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) has other plans and gains control of Miss Peabody who allows her to break free of her cell. Fish wreaks havoc in Indian Hill thwarting Strange's escape plan. As Bruce, Jim and Lucius also escape, aided by Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), they manage to stop the bomb just in the nick of time to save Arkham and apprehend Strange. However, Fish escapes Arkham in a bus loaded with Indian Hill inmates but encounters old friends - Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) and Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell) - who mistakenly think they are taking out Professor Strange. As Butch and his gang flee at the sight of a resurrected Fish Mooney, a shocked Oswald is put to sleep by her newfound powers. In the aftermath, Jim leaves Gotham to find Leslie Thompkins, Harvey grudgingly accepts his role as Captain of the GCPD, Bruce sets his sights on the secretive Court much to the irritation of Alfred (Sean Pertwee) and the city of Gotham will be met with a new threat as Strange's creations escape the bus and start their new lives in Gotham. After being bullied by Theo, Tabitha and Silver escape but leave Theo behind. Cobblepot convinces Gordon that Theo will never be convicted and the two take Theo to the docks and murder him. Later, Gordon finds Leslie and proposes to her. Theo's body is discovered by Wayne Enterprises, who take the corpse to Indian Hill, where Fish Mooney's body is also being kept. The scientists state that Theo's body is to be experimented on by Professor Hugo Strange.

With the GCPD still recovering from the massacre inflicted by the Maniax, Gordon and Bullock begin searching for Jerome. They decide to check the home of Jerome's father, Paul Cicero. They arrive just after Cicero is murdered by Jerome but Jerome manages to escape. Elsewhere, Theo Galavan reveals the next stage of his plan as Barbara has a romantic encounter with Tabitha. Theo states that his family built Gotham and that he will get revenge on those who stole the credit for doing so. As the plan moves forward, Theo attends a charity event that Alfred, Bruce and Leslie Tompkins also attend. Despite the efforts of Gordon, Jerome and Barbara take the charity attendants hostage and kill the lieutenant mayor, per Theo's plan. When Theo attempts to act like he is stopping Jerome with the goal of making himself look like a hero, Jerome betrays Theo and attempts to kill Bruce. Theo then stabs Jerome in the neck and kills him, fulfilling his goal. Later, several Gotham citizens see Jerome's actions on television and begin having mental breakdowns. At Theo's home, he is kissed by Barbara as a jealous Tabitha watches in secret. Later, Bullock pays a visit to Oswald Cobblepot, threatening to beat him if he approaches Gordon for a favor again, as he still views him as Fish Mooney's manservant, and not the mob boss he has become.
