Our hosts return to the podcave to review the country hopping adventure episode, THE DEMON'S QUEST PART 1. Alex and Will talk about Ra's Al Ghul's introduction into the DCAU, the comic books that influenced this plot (including its writer!), and the infamous Lazarus Pit. Our hosts also discuss why Ra's Al Ghul loves name dropping in every story he tells, what Robin did whilst he was tied to that chair, and how Ubu likes to communicate with everyone. Alex and Will also cast Ubu in their live-action fancasted universe and Will plugs his upcoming comic book signing appearances, plus the success of his latest Marvel book, Dr. Doom & Rocket Raccoon! It's been a while, but we're returning to the three runs that we're following in order. In No Man's Land, we take a break from big story revelations for an anthology month of four of shots. In Grant Morrison's run, Dick Grayson brings Batman's corpse to England to a Lazarus Pit and learns something unexpected (by everyone but Tim Drake, because he's the best). And in the world of Injustice, John Constantine joins the resistance against Superman, as the moral darkness continues to spread The Calm Before (Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight # 118, Batman: Shadow of the Bat # 86, Batman V.1 # 566, Detective Comics V.1 # 733) The Blackest Knight (Batman and Robin V.1 # 7-9) Injustice: Gods Among Us- Year Three Vol. 1 (Injustice: Gods Among Us - Year Three # 1-7) Check out our current ranking list at www.comicsxf.com/batchat-rankings/ Thanks to Geri Nonnewitz for our podcast logo Follow the show on Twitter @BatChatComics and support the show on Patreon at www.patreon.com/batchatwithmattandwill

Mangual Assistant Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Rachel Gluckstern Group Editor: Mike Marts 28 – The Wings of Truth Welcome to Gothtopia! Gotham City, America's safest city, America's happiest city. Huh? We the reader realize this is a new reality but the Birds don't realize they have been transformed. They now wear white uniforms and new code names. Batgirl is now Bluebelle. Strix is Artemis. Condor is Eagle. And Black Canary is known as Warbler. Together they are the Wings of Truth. At a display of the many flying blimps of the city, Bluebelle, Artemis, and Eagle are joined by Warbler on her motorcycle. The four head to a children's charity event at the circus where they perform for the kids. Later at their headquarters, movie night is interrupted by word that Batman has gone berserk. The Wings of Truth head toward the fight to capture Batman where they learn Batman thinks everything they're seeing is a lie. Not to worry, says Dr. Crane. Batman will be taken to the Crane Center for Health and Wellness where he will be well cared for. The Wings of Truth take up the slack of superheroing in Gotham until Batman attempts to break out of the Crane Center along with Poison Ivy. The team joins the other heroes and a fight, of course, breaks out. Ivy tries to tell Warbler they need to wake up, can't they see they're filled with poison. Bluebelle reassures the others Batman is under control and she will stay while the other three return to HQ. They are asleep on the couches when someone sprays a gas into Warbler's face. She awakens confused. When her head clears she can now see the crappy apartment they are sleeping in and realizes who they really are. She is Black Canary once more. She is greeted by Ra's al Ghul who explains the entire city has been dosed with a chemical by the Dr. Crane, aka the Scarecrow. Ra's has awakened Black Canary to tempt her with a vial containing a tiny iota of the Lazarus Pit, the source of his regeneration. It is a sample to prove he can save her husband Kurt if she is willing to betray Mother Eve. After Ra's leaves, Black Canary tricks Condor and Strix into a speedboat. When they are far enough away from the city, the others regain their minds. However Black Canary can't return for Batgirl. The antidote she was given is no longer working. Batgirl finally makes her way back to the barge. She wants to know how Black Canary was in Gotham after she refused to leave Kurt's side. Black Canary explains she realized she'd made a mistake turning her back on the team and headed into Gotham to join them only to come under the spell of Scarecrow's drug. Batgirl then confronts Black Canary over her lack of leadership since Kurt's return. Black Canary agrees and asks Batgirl to lead instead. Batgirl hesitates, she has her own life to deal with, but finally agrees. Later by Kurt's bedside, Black Canary struggles over what to do with the vial. She told everyone she was temporarily cured by Poison Ivy instead of Ra's, hiding the fact she may be making a deal with the devil. Birds of Prey vol. 3 29 Cover Date: May 2014 Writer: Christy Marx Penciler: Robson Rocha Breakdowns: Scott McDaniel Inkers: Jonathan Glapion and Marc Deering Colorist: Chris Sotomayor Letterer: Dezi Sienty Assistant Editor: Darren Shan Editor: Rachel Gluckstern Group Editor: Mike Marts 29 – The Eve of Battle Condor is upset that the discovery of Black Canary's comatose husband Kurt has put a damper in his own relationship with Black Canary. He hears her screaming in pain as bad news about Kurt's condition has reached a crisis point. Uplink sees Condor in the hallway and tells him about trying to teach Strix to read on a tablet. On the last one Strix scratched out Gone Find Batgirl then disappeared. Condor heads to Gotham to look for both women. Black Canary returns to Kurt's side. After the removal of the nodes in his head, Kurt is in a permanent vegetative state. Black Canary decides to secretly give him the vial of Lazarus Pit essence that Ra's al Ghul tempted her with last issue. Miraculously Kurt starts asking for water. Black Canary now knows Ra's could cure Kurt as long as she's willing to betray Mother Eve. Hearing about Kurt's miraculous turn around, Mother Eve knows Black Canary is likely compromised but has made a decision to trust her regardless. She checks in with her staff. Ra's ships are on their way. Meanwhile Condor is contacted in the city by a drone projection of Ra's al Ghul. He tempts Condor with a bargain: let Ra's reach Mother Eve and in exchange Ra's will have Kurt killed. Condor says it must happen at the beginning of the battle and then they'll have a deal. As Ra's ship nears Mother Eve's, both sides prepare for the coming battle, it will be a fight with sword and fist. Mother Eve heads to the regeneration chamber where she will be helpless during Ra's attack. She says it must be Black Canary that guards her door. Batgirl and the others remain on deck with Mother Eve's forces. The regeneration of Mother Eve begins just as the first wave of Ra's assault reaches them.

Russ and Jared are back it, back to life, you might say. The guys are jumping head first into the Lazarus Pit (they wish) and talking about The Lazarus Effect (2015), starring Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass, Evan Peters, Donald Glover, Sarah Bolger, and Ray Wise. This movie seems like it should be good on paper, great cast, interesting premise, smart people working on the script... and yet... it's just the worst. Tune in to find out why, and stay tuned for part 2 on Thursday!

Saying Jason Todd is an angry person is an understatement. Coming out of the Lazarus Pit and hearing from Talia al Ghul that the Joker is still alive is enough to put anyone over the edge. But what if Jason Tood could have taken a moment to ride out the wave and try to find a moment of peace?

Welcome to another episode of I AM THE NIGHT, a podcast dedicated to breaking down every episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Each week, the wonderful Steve J Ray (reviewer at DC Comics News, as well as Editor-in-Chief of our sister site Dark Knight News) and a guest will sit down and dive cowl first into an episode of the greatest animated series of all time. In this episode, Steve is joined by fellow DCN and DKN writer, and his son, Adam Ray to talk about the 60th and 61st episodes of season one of Batman: TAS, the two-parter entitled "The Demon's Quest". So sit back, put on your cape and cowl, and prepare yourself for a journey into the darkness! Episode Synopsis Part 1 - When Robin is mysteriously abducted from his college campus, Batman begins a fruitless search... until he is astounded by the sudden appearance in the Batcave of Ra's al Ghul. Ra's quickly reveals that his daughter, Talia, has been abducted under circumstances similar to Robin's, suggesting that the same people are responsible. So begins an uneasy truce between Batman and 'The Demon'. Part 2 - After freeing Talia from her father's clutches and escaping from an avalanche, Batman and Robin follow the only clue they have – the word 'Orpheus'. After discovering that 'Orpheus' is Ra's private satellite that will orbit over the Sahara, the duo travel to the Demon's desert stronghold. There, Batman learns that the satellite is actually a weapon which will explosively destroy all the Lazarus Pits simultaneously throughout the world, destroying all the life that exists. NOTE: This is a direct adaptation of "Daughter of the Demon" from Batman #232, June 1971, and "The Demon Lives Again" from Batman #244, September 1972, both by Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams. Only the Dark Knight and the Wall-crawler have any hope of thwarting the uneasy alliance in this globe-spanning adventure. Ra's al Ghul begins plans for worldwide devastation. He manipulates the Kingpin to his side by infecting the crimelord's wife Vanessa Fisk with cancer and promising him the cure in return for his allegiance. Ra's then orders him to press the button on his machines which would send New York City under the ocean. Ultimately, Spider-Man and Batman interfere and the Kingpin reveals that he knows Ra's' plans and allows the two heroes to board his plane so they can assist him. Defeated, Ra's bows out of the plan gracefully but claims that there is no cure for the cancer. Vanessa convinces her husband that she wishes no further violence, and they leave. Talia al Ghul soon gives the cure to Batman, who then gives it to Spider-Man, who passes it on to the Kingpin. André rises from the Lazarus Pit a little more insane than the last time as he returns to Gotham City to spin a tale of Ra's Al Ghul! Little is known of the early years of the nearly immortal Ra's, but it is accepted that he has lived for many centuries due to the Lazarus Pits' mysterious brews that restore his youth. A brilliant master of strategy and organization, Ra's al Ghul's goal is to save the Earth from ecological devastation by destroying most of its population. He recognizes Batman as both a worthy foe and a possible ally—except that Batman cannot accept his dystopian worldview. Batman also shares a love-hate relationship with Ra's daughter, the beautiful Talia. Ghul commands a legion of followers dedicated to bringing his version of an earthly paradise to fruition and they along with him will stop at nothing to achieve their goals!

In what might be one of the most divisive Lazarus Pit pods, which is saying a lot, Andrew, Alexis, Javon and Ricardo breakdown their picks for the best actor to play Spider-Man in live action. They discuss and debate Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, their movies, their portrayals of Peter Parker and Spidey and give their ultimate rankings.
The guys from Lazarus Pit are back to discuss the recent reveal of the Batsuit for Matt Reeves' The Batman. They talk about the rumors of surrounding the symbol, the importance of positive responses in the build to the release and of course the demons of the recent DCEU that this film will need to overcome.
It’s finally time for us to cover one of Batman’s greatest villains: a leopard! (Actually, it’s Ra’s al Ghul, but the fight with the leopard looked cooler). We take a look at Old Ghoulie’s first appearance in Batman 232 and then his first rise from a Lazarus Pit in issues 243 and 244. All by Dennis O’Neil and Neal Adams. And do we have to keep mentioning Marvels: Eye of the Camera? We’re on issue 3. Next Time: Sandman Vol 4: Seasons of Mist (Issues 21-28) (Apologies for the first 27 minutes, where Vince's sound is wrong)
Lazarus Pit returns with a breakdown of Crisis, where the Arrowverse goes next, the emergence and importance of Black Lightning, and a host of other post-Crisis discussions.

Diggle at home with JJ? Yea I liked Leonard on the Earth-74 Waverider, but why not use the ACTUAL Waverider? The book of destiny - who can use it and who cannot? - Not exactly the same book as last crossover Epic Superman v Superman fight destruction - they definitely need a glass repair service on Earth-96 If the Monitor knew who the paragons were - why waste time sending them on their journey to Earth-99? Chris Where Diggle? He should be here and be a potential voice of reason for not using a Lazarus Pit Its a sendoff for Smallville but no Welling in suit Blue K theory? (doesn't really matter now) I'm conflicted here it's a good sendoff to Clark. Part of his narrative in the show was that he wanted to me normal at times. I think I built it up too much in my mind. But tbh I'm a bit salty we still never got Welling in the suit CG on the Super fight was a bit rough but TV budget so okay What's up with Lyla? Is this going to be explained in the comic tie-in? Sidequest the episode. Big stakes from part 1 aren't really in play here Michelle Tom Welling not in Superman suit Lazarus Pit, really? The multiverse is ending; Barry spends a lot of time on side mission Harbinger's going to Anti-Monitor really not explained Roses SP - “Yea. I kind of promised my crew we'd never have to do another crossover” Jonathan crying and being passed off from person to person until Mick stops him World's Finest Teamup to Earth-99. “Bat Of The Future” Lois has a thing for ALLSupermen Lex Luther's “Superfriends” comment to Earth-167 Superman It was fitting to have Batman in the Batwoman episode Superman v Superman fight was made better by two actors: Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin For all the Legends Of Tomorrow side characters to be in Crisis, it was good to see Jonah Hex End credit symbols are pretty cool Chris Leo replaces Gideon Routh is still a perfect Superman. This is the series they should be pursuing. He is from Superman Returns via reference to his son Jason Kara eyes up Routh Supes gets told he's her cousin by Superman prime was fun Ray and Supes trading quips on teh Waverider was fun Having not watched Cryer in Supergirl I don't know what he was like previously but he nails it as Lex Kevin Conroy is batman even if its evil batman. they took my batman and put him in live action. Normally I complain about guggenheim and his need to defy expectations of fans. I actually liked it here. To many people Kevin Conroy is the definitive version of batman. One who never kills. To take this version and have him be a broken version similar to Dark Knight Returns Batman was not what I expected. And seeing Conroy pull off broken Batman both physically and mentally was quite the show. Teased me with Batman Beyond when referencing a Gotham from the future Smallville Didn't expect to get it. Like the nod to Lex as president Wish there had been more Alternate earth Mick is still delightful as is his babysitting Michelle Tom Welling!!!! Everyone noticing how buff he is Like the Kara/Constantine/Mia teamup Kate and Kara develop relationship Cryer gets to be more Lex Luthor-y than on Supergirl Kate has character development w/interaction w/Bruce Brandon Routh gets to show the world why he's a great Superman and deserves to take over from Cavill Episode made me like Superman again For reference: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Easter Eggs and References in Part Two (10 Dec 2019) https://comicbook.com/dc/2019/12/10/crisis-infinite-earths-part-2-easter-eggs/ ARROW NEWS: CW Reveals When Arrow, Flash, Batwoman and More Return From Winter Hiatus (Date: 18 Dec 2019) Both Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will air on Jan. 14 to close out the Arrowverse's "Crisis on Infinite Earths". Y'alls coverage of the show plus the One-shots and other stuff yuns do is fantastic. Just listened to Purgatory and thought that I would mention that on VUDU you can buy the bundles of Invansion and Crisis On Earth-X. They haven't got Elseworlds bundled yet but hopefully they do, and obviously I hope eventually they get Crisis On Infinite Earths bundled too. Thanks, I appreciate y'all, it's been fun listening to y'alls coverage, and looking forward to these last little bit of episodes. Thanks! REDDIT (via Chris): https://www.reddit.com/r/arrow/comments/e9vu1r/crisis_spoilers_star_city/ Posted byu/rleach1001 7 days ago [Crisis Spoilers] Star City spoiler Star City 2046 can't be the same Earth featured in Legends of Tomorrow. I know Sara said the Waverider jumped dimensions, but she has to be wrong. In Legends of Tomorrow S1E6, Sara meets future Oliver and he says: "30 years ago, you and Ray hopped on a spaceship, and you never came back." In Crisis Part One, they meet alternate Oliver, and he says: "You're dead. You... you went down with the Gambit." So, Earth-16 is an alternate Earth that's very similar to Star City 2046, but Sara actually died on the Gambit. She never got on the Amazo, joined the League, or came back to Star City. Star City 2046 was a potential future for Earth-1 that was avoided. We cover the second Robin, JASON TODD, at the request of Patron Ariel! How did he go from being Dick Grayson 2.0 to one of the angriest members of the Bat-family? Doc unveils one of his most inventive treatment methods yet, plus we finally get an answer to the age-old question of how the Joker got away! (No reason why Batman smells, though.) Listen now! SHOW NOTES: Intro Doc wrote a guest column for Adventures in Poor Taste She-Hulk & Moon Knight shows on Disney+ Shoutout to Drop Anchor Background (7:18) Jason Todd created by Gerry Conway & Don Newton in Batman #357 (March 1983) Jason was the second Robin, after Dick Grayson left to become Nightwing Originally the son of circus acrobats who were killed by a criminal, he was adopted by Bruce Wayne in the pre-Crisis continuity Post-Crisis, he was revamped to be an orphan attempting to steal the tires off the Batmobile Batman takes him in as protege to prevent him from becoming a criminal A Death in the Family – Jason is searching for his biological mother, but she’s blackmailed by Joker to draw him out – Joker beats Jason and blows up the warehouse, and Jason dies This was voted on by fans, as Jason was not a popular character among the fanbase Years later, revealed that when Superboy-Prime altered reality, it brought Jason back to life, although he suffered amnesia – Talia al Ghul takes him in and used a Lazarus Pit to restore his health, although it affected his mind Begins to plot his revenge on both Batman and the Joker – Joker for killing him, and Batman for not being able to save him Becomes Gotham crime lord known as the Red Hood – beats Joker within an inch of his life, but spares him to use against Batman Confronts Batman and wants to know why he never killed Joker – gives Bruce ultimatum: kill me, or I kill Joker – Bruce disarms Jason, and Joker escapes Becomes an anti-hero with no qualms about killing villains, and ends up in Arkham, where he kills dozens of inmates before escaping New 52 – revamped origin again, revealing that Joker was responsible for his parents’ deaths – now he heads up the Outlaws, a group of anti-heroes looking for redemption Rebirth – once again Batman takes him in, but realizes he’s too violent – he becomes Red Hood after his resurrection, which places him at odds with Bruce – creates new Outlaws group with Bizarro and Artemis Issues (16:00) Revenge oriented – both against Joker and Batman Forced into Robin mantle by Batman - dyed his hair like Dick, and was told he became Robin to keep him out of trouble - always living in Dick's shadow (23:50) Troubled youth led to life of crime – also potential BPD and depression – led to suicidal thoughts (34:30) Insanity as a result of Lazarus Pits (40:14) Break (45:40) Plugs for Cult of Domesticity & Popcorn Psychology Treatment (46:35) In-universe Out of universe (50:31) Skit (62:09) Ending References: Anthony's guest appearance on Into the Knight (3:36) Lonely Island - "On a Boat" (6:46) "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" - Doc (08:24) Talia al Ghul episode - Anthony (11:32) Ra's al Ghul episode - Anthony (12:24) Joker episode - Anthony (17:30) Chris Rock - O.J. We throw out our Endgame theories before the movie drops. Also, how should the MCU go about (re)introducing the X-Men to the public?
Take a dip in the Lazarus Pit! This week the brothers explore the demon known as Ra's Al Ghul, his lovely daughter Talia, the great detective, and the twisted relationship between the three of them. We also take about the Titanic and childrens' literature. We hope you enjoy.
It's the Season 2 finale, and per our President level Patron Ariel's request, we're covering TALIA AL GHUL! Anthony & Doc go in depth on Ra's daughter, her on/off-again relationship with Batman, and how good of a mother she is to Damian. All this, plus a first ever treatment session and the weirdest accent Anthony's done yet - LISTEN NOW! SHOW NOTES: Introduction Shoutout to Blood & Black Rum (NSFW) – – Ryne & Chris drink beer and talk about (mostly) cult films – (3:34) Background (5:54) Created by Dennis O’Neil and Bob Brown in Detective Comics #411 (May 1971) Daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, introduced as simply Talia – Batman rescues her from the League of Assassins, and she shoots her captor (Dr. Darrk) to save Batman Later revealed that a kidnapping was a test by Ra’s to see if Batman would make a good husband for Talia – Bruce rejects the offer, but still loves Talia She marries Bruce in 1978 with Ra’s approval She becomes pregnant with Bruce’s child, but she realizes she can’t stay with him, so she fakes a miscarriage and annuls the marriage – the boy is dropped off at an orphanage – later grows to become Damian Wayne Takes over LexCorp when Lex Luthor becomes President of the US – she sells all the assets to Wayne Foundation, leaving Lex broke Gets kidnapped by her half-sister Nyssa and brainwashed to turn against their father – Nyssa kills Ra’s, and both women take over his organization After Bruce is apparently killed, she tells Dick Grayson to take Damian under his wing as the new Robin – after Damian is injured, she implants a device in his spine that allows her to control him, and she starts to clone him to create a more obedient son Batman Inc – she takes control of an organization called Leviathan to kill Batman – her Damian clone kills the original, and she poisons Batman in a battle, but gets killed by Kathy Kane – Ra’s brings her body to a Lazarus Pit to resurrect her – she awakens with no memory of her former life Rebirth – fights Catwoman after finding out she’s engaged to Bruce Lies to Deathstroke and tells him that Damian is his son so he attacks Bruce Issues (12:02) Loyalty torn between her father and Bruce After kidnapping by Nyssa, becomes more detached from humanity like her father Maternal instincts over Damian vary – usually fiercely loyal to him, but also willing to abandon him when he defies her (28:21) Treatment (39:50) In universe Out of universe Skit (54:04) Ending References: Chris Hansen - Anthony - 3:30 Jack Frost - Anthony - 4:08 Leprechaun in the Hood - Doc - 4:40 Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood - Doc - 5:04 Ra's al Ghul episode - Anthony - 9:04 Maury Povich - Doc - 11:52 "Get Down Tonight" by KC & the Sunshine Band - Anthony - 12:20 Married with Children - Doc - 12:49 Stockholm Syndrome - 20:48 Gaslighting - Anthony - 22:54 A Clockwork Orange - Anthony - 23"08 Skinner conditioning - Doc - 24:18 Negan episode - Doc - 27:25 iTunes: here Google Play: here Stitcher: here TuneIn: here iHeartRadio: here Spotify: here Twitter FacebookE-mailPatreon

We talk about Coral' and Fre's 23 and Me results and probably make a ton of inappropriate comments, a bunch of witches being burned in Africa; we discuss immortality, but not without making at least one Lazarus Pit comment, and the possibility that the 56th President of the United States was born at the end of 2018 and revealed by a time traveler from the future. I could have left it at the first paragraph, but then we definitely wouldn't have been real 1s. We would have been fake 1s and that that shit is not okay.
So how did Bruce Wayne rescue Doctor Kinsolving and Jack Drake? How did he heal his back? Lazarus Pit? You would think that! This story is so dreadful it made us excited to see Azrael show up. There is a reason this was never reprinted in trade format until recently! The Search was originally published in: Justice League Task Force #5-6 Shadow of the Bat: #21-23 Legends of the Dark Knight: #59-61 Robin: #7 Did you like The Run? Tell a friend! Questions? Jesse, Sergio, Derek, and Alex talk about Daredevil Season Two, Ruby Rose as Batwoman, the Lazarus Pit, Stephen King's Pet Sematary, Khabib vs. McGregory UFC title fight, John Wick 3, the new Aladdin teaser trailer, James Gunn on board for Suicide Squad sequel, and more!
Old Ninja is in the Lazarus Pit this week. RIP Koko and Joe Jackson. This week we talk about Permit Patty, Luke Cage Season 2, More Chris Hardwick, Dragon Ball Heroes, the BedJet, Incredibles 2, Jared Leto as Morbius, the MUCH having mostly Female leads, and more! Hey guys. This is one of those ideas that you formulate because you want to see your favourite character in something, and not necessarily because it seems like a good plan. I really want to see Jason Todd (not original but best Red Hood) in the DC cinematic universe. I think the world is gritty enough to support the origins of the character, his robust and angsty nature, and the possibility of killing him off. We've already been blessed by a pretty great adaptation of the Under The Red Hood comic, so this movie will have to be original, and depart from the classic telling. Similarly, if you modernize it too much, you risk treading on the Arkham Knight portrayal which is fantastic, but not what I see being integrated in the film 'verse. Jason Todd will still be the reckless, orphan boy who is discovered whilst trying to pry the tires off the Batmobile, but we will see a depth to his origin, a desire to help others, and also the skewed sense of justice and violence that we come to expect from him in his later years. It's after his death, at the hands of the Joker and Harley Quinn, that we discover a fraction in the League of Assassins. Talia Al Ghul and her loyalist members (like Bronze Tiger, Lady Shiva, etc.) fracture away from Ra's Al Ghul after witnessing his reliance on the Joker for his latest scheme. They feel his direction is off, and the time for his daughter to lead the empire is now. Talia convinces her followers that the revival and utilization of the dead Robin is a top priority, and he will be a crucial general in their eventual plans and battles. But in truth, she wants to bring him back for love of her "Detective" and hopes that reviving his lost son will curry her favour with Bruce. As Jason is smuggled into a hidden (and some said tainted) Lazarus Pit, his body and the cave are prepared for a ritual. I won't go too much more into it, but the waters revive Jason and bestow upon him unique powers and armour unseen before. Somewhere between shimmering glassine alien materials, and a daemonic energy and presence, The Red Hood is born again formidable and thankfully new enough that we haven't seen this dog and pony show before. Yes his reflective helmet will stay, but will look unique enough to suggest that perhaps he is a creature from the beyond, and not just a man under the mask.I've got a feeling none of this will end up in the DC world, no matter the medium, but hey. Enjoy the ramblings none the less. Also God of Four continues to be awesome. I have a soft spot for games that reflect cosmetically the upgrades you give your armour and stuff. So every additional dwarven detail or gold border to the Leviathan Axe makes me drool that little bit more.Stay alive out there guys, let me know what you like/hate this week.Cheers

The end is here in our Gotham Season 3 Episode 22 Review for "HeavyDirtySoul" and we discuss our Top Five moments of this Episode. Synopsis for Gotham Season 3 Episode 22 Review HeavyDirtySoul Podcast Directed by: Rob Bailey Written by: Robert Hull Bruce’s conditioning wears off as he is confronted with Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) run-through by his own hand. Spurning the offer from Ra's al Ghul (Alexander Siddig) offer to be his heir Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uses the waters of the Lazarus Pit to rescue Alfred from death. At the hospital Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) arrives and the tense visit sees her and Bruce’s relationship disintegrate as they both go their separate ways. With Jervis Tetch (Benedict Samuel) in the hands of Barbara Kean (Erin Richards) and The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) they begin to blackmail the city in exchange for Tetch and the antidote. However, Nygma’s obsession with Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) forces him to betray Barbara as he meets Jim and Harvey to swap Tetch for the Penguin. However, the deal heads south as Barbara, Tabitha and Butch interrupt the exchange. In the escape, Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) secure Tetch’s blood for the antidote; and Cobblepot turns the tables in his favour capturing Nygma. Back at the GCPD, Jim Gordon, still fighting the virus, is caught between saving himself and Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin), or joining her and embracing his true-virus-self. Gordon decides to leave with Lee but as they escape through the train station, Bullock intercepts them and urges Jim to remember his calling giving him his badge back with two vials of the antidote. In the train, Gordon injects himself and Lee, freeing them from the virus. Losing Tetch opens the fault lines between Barbara and Butch Gilzean (Drew Powell) and Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas). Butch is shot and Tabitha kills Barbara in revenge. Elsewhere, Nygma breaks free of Cobblepot's handcuffs and believes he has the upper hand but Cobblepot has wised up to the Riddler and goads him into returning to the port. This is the DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday June 10th, 2017. As submitted by Edward O'Hare, nickname To Be Determined. 3 hours of DCTV this week: Gotham 2-Part Season 3 Finale - Part 1: The Tetch virus threw the city into chaos. Jim tried fighting the virus and kept getting calls from Lee begging him to give in. Turns out Hugo Strange developed a cure, but Fish Mooney snatched him up (GODAMMIT, WHY IS SHE STILL ALIVE!!!). Oswald, Freeze and Firefly joined them on a quest for the antidote and got cornered by ninja assassins. Jim went full-Tetch, killed all the ninjas and Fish (HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU, JESUS!!!). The cure was destroyed but Hugo could make more. He just needed blood from Jervis Tetch, who was just snatched up by Ed, Babs, and a jilted Butch and Tabitha. Alfred tried getting through to Bruce with mixed results. Bruce slipped away and wandered into a secret room to discover a Lazarus Pit and Ra's al-Ghul. Last Minute Reveal: Ra's al-Ghul believed Bruce could be his true heir and asked him to prove himself by killing Alfred. Alfred tried playing the nostalgia card, but Bruce put a Samurai sword through his chest! Part 2 - Bruce felt horrible for stabbing Alfred. Ra's al-Ghul vanished, leaving Bruce to save Alfred with the Lazarus Pit. Jim tried trading Oswald to Ed in exchange for Tetch. Things went sideways. Oswald led Ed into a trap and had Mr. Freeze put him on ice. Butch was anxious to kill Babs, but Babs got wise and shot Butch in the head. Butch survived somehow and we learned his real name is Cyrus Gold. Tabitha electrocuted Babs to death and took Selena on as an apprentice. Jim and Harvey got Tetch's blood for the cure. Jim finally gave into Lee's calls and joined her. Harvey slipped Jim the antidote. Jim cured Lee and himself. Lee skipped town, hoping Jim and Gotham could save each other. Last Minute Reveal: A family was cornered in an alley by a thug, but were rescued by a mysterious figure in black. The figure was Bruce, who climbed a rooftop and looked out over the city! iZombie- As a favor to Peyton, Liv scrambled eggs with James Weckler's brain. His mental illness caused Liv to hallucinate her dead boyfriend Drake. The extra-long visions helped Liv discover Weckler was murdered by a guard. Unfortunately that guard “fell off a boat” and drowned. Clive and Liv tried talking to Weckler's daughter Tatum but she was hiding the fact that she's a zombie. Major had an extended sleepover with Shawna. They built a fort in the living room. Stacey Boss tried killing Blaine but ended up getting forcefully persuaded to become Blaine's new business partner. Harley Johns and the Zombie Haters tied up and starved Don waiting for him to go full Romero. Ravi frantically called Blaine asking for help. Last Minute Reveal: While Liv and Blaine pumped each other up to save Don, Harley Johns was ready to start the torture. CURRENT EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS & POP CULTURE REFERENCES Season Episode “Second Chances” (Date: 01 Feb 2017) Article: http://comicbook.com/2017/02/02/arrow-easter-eggs-and-things-you-might-have-missed-in-second-cha/ HUB CITY - Hub City, a fictional city in the DC Universe, is best known as the home to The Question, a self-taught urban shaman. The last time we saw the city on Arrow was when Esrin Fortuna helped Oliver take on Damien Darhk...and of course, when Hub City started to show up in showrunner Marc Guggenheim's tweets this year, there was plenty of speculation that he was teasing The Question. Turns out, he was teasing the Black Canary! BIG BELLY BURGER - Big Belly Burger, a fictional fast-food restaurant in the DC Universe, is the fast food of choice for people who are in hiding, in jail, or otherwise cut off from the world on The Flash. Here, we saw Team Arrow hanging out there in Hub City while Felicity got it delivered to her in the Arrowcave during her side quest. FAMILY SECRET - When Talia refers to her agelessness as a "family secret," it's the kind of cutesy clue that Nyssa used to drop in her early appearances, where she didn't directly name-drop Ra's al Ghul or the Lazarus Pit, but made references that were pretty clear to people in the know. Back then, of course, we always wondered whether Ra's would ever make an appearance. Now, he's come and gone, and we know that this kind of vague dialogue is mostly to keep continuity tidy so that Oliver doesn't realize exactly who he's dealing with when Ra's and Nyssa come in later. THE FLASH & CAPTAIN SINGH - In what Marc Guggenheim tweeted was the quickest crossover Arrow has ever done with The Flash, we got to see Barry speed (in costume) into his boss's office to vouch for Green Arrow. What's nice to see is Captain Singh, Barry's boss, who hasn't been seen much this season. It felt a bit like last night, when the long-absent Miss Tessmacher from Supergirl had a quick cameo on The Flash. SONUS - Sean Sonus, alias Discord is a sonic villain who fights Green Arrow and Black Canary. He first appeared in Green Arrow and Black Canary #15, and was co-created by Arrow EP Andrew Kreisberg and artist Mike Norton. DINAH DRAKE - "Dinah Drake" is actually the name of the original/Earth-2 Black Canary, who existed in the comics before Dinah Lance did. ARROW NEWS: New Arrow Episode Gets A Russian Title As It Begins Production (Date: 30 Jan 2017) Marc Guggenheim, the show's executive producer, shared a cover of the new episode's script, and let fans know that it was beginning production. Episode 17 will be titled 'Kapot', which is a Russian word meaning 'cowl' or 'hood'. Flashbacks reveal how Rene went from simple family man to a hero named Wild Dog. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) must deal with the perpetrator behind the attack and realizes the best way to do so is as Mayor Queen instead of the Green Arrow. Tensions run high in the Arrow bunker. Kristin Windell directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim (#513). Actually, when TVLine last spoke to Wendy Mericle, the Arrow scribes were in the midst of hashing out a return scenario for Little Miss Benedict Arnold. “We have a really cool, exciting twist for how she's going to reappear,” the EP teased, noting: “The interesting thing about the choices Evelyn has made is that as much as she took the moral high ground when confronting Oliver, she has allied herself with someone who is even worse,” in Prometheus. “She's gone from the frying pan into the fire.” Link:http://tvline.com/2017/01/31/bones-final-season-spoilers-booth-gordon-wyatt/ Wayback Wednesday: Watch The First Ever Trailer For Arrow (Date: 01 Feb 2017) In honor of Wayback Wednesday - and a brand new episode of Arrow tonight - it's about time to take a look back at the first ever trailer for Arrow. This footage was seen in 2012, and it talked a lot about Oliver Queen's return to the real world, after he was thought to be dead. The trailer shows Oliver on the island, beard and all, as well as his assimilation back into society. Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/02/02/wayback-wednesday-watch-the-first-ever-trailer-for-arrow/ ARROW: TINA BOLAND'S REAL NAME WILL BE FAMILIAR TO DC COMICS FANS (Date: 01 Feb 207) “Tina Boland” is her undercover name; her real name is Dinah Drake. If that sounds familiar, that's because Dinah Drake is the name of the original Black Canary. Dinah debuted in 1947's “Flash Comics” #86 as Black Canary. Later, she married a man named Larry Lance and subsequently changed her name to Dinah Lance. Inspired by Dinah, her daughter Dinah Laurel Lance would go on to become a founding member of the Justice League. When the New 52 restarted DC Comics' continuity, the Black Canary legacy was retconned, and Dinah Drake was restored as the one and only Black Canary. This New 52 version of Dinah Drake was formerly married to Kurt Lance, but the two divorced. Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrow-tina-boland-black-canary-dinah-drake/ Arrow: What is Helix? (Date: 01 Feb 2017) Helix was a supervillain group led by Dr. Benjamin Love, aka Mr. Bones. The members were six mutated children who had been experimented on and then kidnapped by Love. They grew up to be a rather bizarre cast of characters, including Kritter (a human/dog hybrid) and Baby Boom (a young child who can cause explosions with her mind). It's safe to assume that any future appearances of Helix will certainly be way more grounded in reality - with any mention of the original characters probably being used as online screennames. This is similar to the inclusion of the secret organization Shadowspire in Arrow, which was given a much more realistic makeover. When recently discussing the dynamic between Felicity and Diggle going forward, Arrow executive-producer Wendy Mericle mentioned that the events in 'Second Chances' will play into the rest of the season. "Part of what kicks [Felicity] off down this darker path is she's going to find evidence to exonerate him -- and [Diggle's] going to have to deal with the fallout of the fact that Felicity is now going down a questionable path in part because of him." With that in mind, there's a very good chance that tonight's episode will not be the last time we hear of Helix on Arrow. Heroes Unite.” In the episode, a White Martian arrives in National City to capture M'gann and return her to Mars, where she's to be punished as a traitor. Unwilling to allow that to happen, Hank Henshaw and Supergirl bring M'gann to the Department of Extra-Normal Operations for protection, only for circumstances to turn from bad to worse. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-martian-manhunter-martian-chronicles-poster/ Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow boss on crossovers ahead (Date: 26 Jan 2017) “We're going to be seeing the Black Flash on Legends,” Guggenheim says, reminding fans that Thawne is a member of the Legion of Doom. “Lily Stein, who was introduced in Flash 308, makes an appearance next week. So there's a fair amount of Flash-ness going on in Legends. I wish I could say that we were so smart to take advantage of the new timeslot and do that, but we weren't that smart. We just had already sort of been doing that organically anyway when we found out about the new timeslot. I will say this: There's a love scene in episode 11 and we were in the editing room on it — it's a love scene, it gets a little steamy — and I was joking, ‘Let's take that 9 p.m. timeslot out for a spin.'” The article has the audio of the interview with Guggenheim. As for when we'll get to see the duo in action, it looks like episode twelve, titled "Untouchable," is a good bet as it'll feature a subplot with the Scarlet Speedster helping Kid Flash elevate his game to the next level. Check out the new "Lightning Strikes Twice" poster. Link:https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/the_flash/two-speedsters-are-better-than-one-on-this-electrifying-new-a148532 The Flash: Robbie Amell teases his upcoming return (Date: 29 Jan 2017) Earlier this month, EW exclusively revealed that Robbie Amell is returning to The Flash for an upcoming episode. Details on his return are still scarce, but the actor gave EW a little tease of what to expect. “I was there last week,” he shared at Honda's “Hockey Goes Hollywood” event in Los Angeles. “I can tell you that my scenes are with Grant [Gustin] and Danielle [Panabaker]. And I may or may not be alive.” That last part is key, considering the last we saw of Ronnie, he died as a result of destroying the singularity that opened up the path to Earth-2, where that planet's Ronnie was a villain named Deathstorm. Being back on Flash is always a treat for Amell, who got to catch up with his TV wife and former superhero partner and have his first true Ronnie and Barry scene. Link:http://ew.com/tv/2017/01/29/the-flash-robbie-amell-return/ LEGENDS OF TOMORROW'S LETSCHER TEASES REVERSE FLASH'S PLAN, COLD'S RETURN (Date: 31 Jan 2017) Speaking to CBR, Letscher teased Reverse Flash's plan, and he promised that Thawne's motivation would be “a major reveal” in the next episode of “Legends of Tomorrow.” Letscher also discussed the Legion's dynamic, the upcoming return of Leonard “Captain Cold” Snart, Thawne's important “foreknowledge” of events and more. When asked about Captain Cold, he said, “He is going to be a full-fledged member of the Legion of Doom and be very valuable to them on multiple fronts. Eobard has done his homework in this regard, and he's recruited somebody who's fully on board with the Legion of Doom's mission and he also understands the complications that Captain Cold's relationship with the Legends… the psychological complications that inform Eobard and his plans.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/legends-of-tomorrow-matt-letscher-legion-of-doom-reverse-flash-captain-cold/ KEIYNAN LONSDALE TALKS WALLY'S TRANSFORMATION INTO KID FLASH (Date: 31 Jan 2017) Interview with CBR. When asked about Savitar, he said, “Savitar is the biggest threat that any of them have faced. Fortunately, Barry doesn't have to do this alone. He's always had Team Flash. Other people are getting powers. It's going to take everyone working together to stop him. Wally is super-crucial to that.” Also, he won't be singing in the musical episode. She wrote “Super Friend,” which will be performed by Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. The episode will also feature an original song written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen) called “Runnin' Home to You” that Gustin will perform. Details of her character aren't known, but it's described by the CW as “a mysterious new role that will become the new Big Bad of Season 2.” Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said of Hatcher's casting, “No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, Greg, and the fans.” Link:http://deadline.com/2017/01/supergirl-teri-hatcher-season-2-cast-recurring-1201898430/ ‘Black Lightning' Drama Eyes Move To the CW To Join Greg Berlanti Comic Lineup (Date: 02 Feb 2017) Deadline has learned that Black Lightning, the high-profile drama based on the DC character, which had a big production commitment at Fox, is on the move and likely to land at the CW. The project comes from Greg Berlanti, king of the CW's DC universe. Fox brass ultimately decided that the superhero show was not a good fit. The CW is home of Berlanti Prods.'s four DC/WBTV superhero series — Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, which Berlanti also co-created. That makes the network a suitable home for Black Lightning, which would give the CW's DC universe its first major African American superhero. Black Lightning would be the only black superhero toplining his own broadcast series and the second currently on TV, joining Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix. Damn Justice Society of America (JSA) Obsedian Commander Steel Dr. Mid-Nite Stargirl Legion of Doom Damien Darhk Is the one who supplied the Nazis with uranium Recognizes Sara's fighting style Germans want him to get another bomb, reveals his partner wants to move on Eobard Thawne / Reverse-Flash Revealed at end to be Darhk's partner Malcolm Merlyn CURRENT EPISODE DC EASTER EGGS & POP CULTURE REFERENCES Season 02 Episode 01 “Out of Time” (Date: 13 Oct 2016) Article:http://comicbook.com/dc/2016/10/13/dcs-legends-of-tomorrow-things-you-might-have-missed-in-out-of-t/ Out of Time - As has been the case a lot in the first couple of weeks of The CW's TV season, the episode's title -- "Out of Time" -- is a bit of a reference in and of itself. It's likely been the name of a number of time travel-related stories -- but most recently, it was the name of a story that ran through The Flash #30-35 (from the 2011 series) and featured, among other villains, The Reverse-Flash. The fact that the final moments of the episode incorporate the "surprise" appearance of Eobard Thawne, then, suggests this could have been a more-than-incidental use of the name. OLIVER QUEEN - Oliver Queen, seen wearing a suit and not in his Green Arrow costume for the purposes of this season finale, is played by Stephen Amell. The star of Arrow, Oliver is generally considered the genesis point for The CW's DC Universe (even though they obviously had Smallville and Birds of Prey long before Arrow came along). Amell's Green Arrow appeared in the series premieres of both The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so this episode more or less continues a tradition. NATE HEYWOOD - Nick Zano joins the cast as Nate Heywood -- "Citizen Steel" -- who in the comics inherits the powers and costume of his grandfather. He's a troubled individual, suffering from both physical and emotional damage, in the comics -- but as Zano told ComicBook.com at Comic Con International: San Diego, that's not the direction they're going with Heywood on TV. THE THREE MUSKETEERS - Cardinal Richelieu, depicted as one of the villains of Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, being included in this episode more or less cements the idea that they look like that on purpose -- and explains why certain characters who were strategically important in the fight -- like Jax, for instance -- had to stay out of sight. REX TYLER - Rex Tyler, the Golden Age Hourman and a veteran member of the Justice Society of America, is one of a number of DC heroes who would pass on his name and legacy numerous times over the decades to come in the comics. On TV, he made a single, brief appearance at the end of the season 1 finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and will show up again -- with the rest of the Justice Society this time -- in next week's episode as well. DAMIEN DARHK - Damien Darhk was the season four big bad on Arrow. Like Ra's al Ghul, he's a very old man who has been kept relatively young by the Lazarus Pit because of his position of power and authority first within the League of Assassins and later in H.I.V.E. Originally created as a villain in The Titans, Darhk's control of H.I.V.E. made him an ideal choice when The CW decided to introduce a magical villain last year. He was nearly unbeatable until Oliver figured out how to manipulate Darhk's energy to his own ends, and now he's dead -- except that as somebody who's been not only alive, but rich and powerful for decades, he's surprisingly easy for a time-traveling troublemaker to find and recruit. ALBERT EINSTEIN - First of all, he's appeared in DC Comics before. In an oversized issue Superman vs. Wonder Woman, Nazis went after Einstein in 1942. Ultimately, Wonder Woman rescues him but ends up finding out about the Manhattan Project. After becoming a person of interest for a while and throwing down with Superman a bit, she ends up teaming up with the Last Son of Krypton to track down and defeat Baron Blitzkrieg. Secondly, the thing with his wife is actually based in historical controversy. Mileva Marić was a Serbian physicist and has long been rumored to have coauthored Einstein's 1905 paper on relativity. INSULTING RAY - Calling him a "boy scout" feels like a nod to Brandon Routh's time as Superman, but the whole "what are you without that suit?" reeks of Marvel's The Avengers. That's a comic book movie reference twofer! REVERSE-FLASH - Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash, may have something up his sleeve. At the end of The Flash's Season 3 premiere earlier this month, he said that while his future was as it should be, Barry's might not be. Barry then went home to discover a number of small anomalies that made his life and those of his friends worse. Now, we learn that "somebody" is outfitting the villains of history with future tech in order to push the world to a slightly worse place. Could Eobard Thawne have stepped right out of "Flashpoint" and into "Out of Time?" Either way, seeing him and Darhk together is enough to make seasoned Arrowverse fans quake in their boots even before they know the other members of Thawne's little Legion of Doom. (Date: 04 Jan 2017) Wendy Mericle told TVLine: “Diggle emerges from jail with a much bigger drive, and not the same fatalism that he had earlier in the season. He's going to come up against Colonel Walker and grow closer to Adrian Chase.” Guess having a good lawyer on his side in the form of the DA, as well as Vigilante, will help! (Date: 04 Jan 2017) * Speaking with TV Line, Mericle called the Prometheus mystery "a gift that keeps on giving for the rest of the season," adding that it will be Ra's al Ghul's daughter, Talia al Ghul, who plays a "crucial part" in helping Oliver solve the Prometheus mystery. * Stargate SG-1 actress Lexa Doig was recently cast to play the DC TV version of Talia on Arrow Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/04/arrow-talia-al-ghul-prometheus-connection/ com's Five predictions for the second half of S.05 (Date: 05 Jan 2017) Guys, do we agree or disagree: 1. Laurel will drive a lot of the story in the second half of the season 2. The Prometheus story will heat up 3. Talia will appear in the present (she's only been in flashbacks so far) 4. The Arrow v. Vigilante fight will boil over into city hall (in politics) 5. Reforming and coming back to the Original Team Arrow is the endgame (Oliver, Felicity, Diggle) Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/01/05/arrow-five-predictions-for-remainder-of-season-5/ GENERAL DC TV NEWS FIRST CLIP FROM KEVIN SMITH'S SUPERGIRL EP SHOWS CASUAL, QUIPPY TONE (Date: 27 Dec 2016) After directing an episode of season two of “The Flash,” Kevin Smith is returning to the CW to direct an episode of “Supergirl”. There's one big development that's revealed in the clip: Mon-El finally got a job! He's working as a bartender, which makes a lot of sense given his party-boy Daxamite background. True to form though, he's not great at fetching club soda for Kara, preferring to serve her something brown and boozy. Despite the fact that he saves the Flash's life, Barry is none too happy with his protégé, and brings him to task for doing instead of observing and learning like he was supposed to.The clip also teases the introduction of another villain from the comics, with Wally bragging about how he put Plunder into Iron Heights. Plunder was previously shown in a season three episode in a news report, wearing an eye patch. Link:http://comicbook.com/2016/12/24/new-legends-of-tomorrow-trailer-features-legion-of-doom/ Jeremy Jordan Talks Winn's Evolution on Supergirl (Date: 02 Jan 2017) Jeremy Jordan discusses with Comicbook.com how Winn is developing from last season now that he is with the DEO instead of CatCo. "I think that Winn has become a foil for the audience in terms of how he's giving us the fanboy reaction play by play, and that's a really fun, exciting aspect of Winn to play," Jordan said. "That's 'old Winn.' That who Winn has always been at his core. At the same time, Winn is growing up and learning to guard himself and learning to protect his friends and he kind of becomes a little bit of the sage advice-giver this season, whether he's giving advice to Alex or cautioning James to take it easy. I think he's learned a lot from Cat and he's learned a lot from his experience in the past year or so and it's forced him to grow up a lot." It seems pretty clear that Johns' return to writing a DC comic will involve the Watchmen characters that were behind the Rebirth event. But will that be a new series exclusively focusing on those characters or are we looking at another crossover event? There's still a lot of mystery surrounding Ozymandias and Doctor Manhattan's role in Rebirth so the safe bet would be another event series continuing on from where Rebirth left off. As far as a new DCTV series is concerned, will it be airing on The CW, Fox, Syfy or some other network? And with the large number of DC characters already appearing on the various shows, will it be another spinoff series? Kara still has to figure out how she feels about him." * The fact that we now know Mon-El is hiding a possibly nefarious secret will also have to be addressed, with Adler acknowledging, "A lot of secrets have been brewing this season," and that as season 2 gets into its latter half, "We'll get definitive answers." Amertek Industries is a weapons manufacturer, tech conglomerate and defense contractor arguably best known for their biggest gun (literally and figuratively), the "Toastmaster" BG-80. Designed by John Henry Irons, their brutality turned him off of weapons-making and he left Amertek to go into hiding, taking on the name Henry Johnson. The guns would later make their way into the hands of street gangs in Metropolis and Washington, DC. Seeing his weapons on the streets, coupled with the then-recent death of his idol Superman, led Irons to take on the armored superhero identity of Steel. Ragman - In the show, Ragman's family was killed when the missile hit Havenrock. In the comics, Ragman is a Gotham-based vigilante who wears the mystical Suit of Souls, from which his powers come. Created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert, Ragman has a bit of a Ghost Rider thing going on, with the costume allowing him to take the souls of the guilty -- except that in the case of Ragman, he can summon their abilities later in battle. By being used in this way, the evil can actually earn redemption and passage to Heaven. ARROW NEWS: Supergirl and Arrow Boss Says Ollie and Kara won't get along (Date: 11 Oct 2016) As per Andrew Kreisberg regarding the crossover “Part of Oliver's [Stephen Amell] journey in those episodes is he's kind of hit his breaking point for things he's willing to accept. He's had Mirakuru soldiers, the Lazarus Pit, magic, and Damien Darhk, but flying aliens who can incinerate you with their eyes is one beyond the pale for him. He's keeping his distance, which is a very Oliver thing to do. Even Kara comments, ‘Does he not like me?' Barry's like, ‘No, that's kind of how he treats everybody.' Guggenheim was asked about NYCC if del Toro might appear to do an episode of Arrow. "I'd be lying if I said I never broached the topic with him," Guggenheim says. "He's so busy and he is filming right now actually up in Toronto." "He's got a standing invitation," Guggenheim concludes. It's basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it's crossing over all four shows. It's telling one big epic movie of a story. It's not setting up any other spin-offs, it's just big, bombastic, huge action. There's also some really poignant character moments. There's a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover. It's by far the most ambitious thing we've ever attempted. I want to say it's by far one of the most ambitious things anyone in network television has ever attempted. It's completely insane.” Link:http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/13/arrow-flash-supergirl-legends-crossover-spoilers Supergirl will not Move into the Flarrow ‘verse (Date: 8 Oct 2016) Fans had speculated and hoped that a move to the CW might unify Supergirl with the Flarrow universe during the upcoming crossover. Via Andrew Kresberg: “James has a pretty big turn coming up. These next few episodes are going to make him realize that being a photographer… is not enough for him, so he's going to go on a pretty exciting career trajectory that we're really pumped by. James is going to decide that he can no longer sit back and be a sidekick, so he's going to decide to become a vigilante and he's going to become Guardian — complete with the shield — which is going to cause a massive problem in his relationship with Kara [Melissa Benoist], because he has decided not to tell her. Now there's this new masked vigilante, and she has her own feelings about vigilantes, and it becomes a push and pull about who gets to decide who gets to be a hero? He's recruited Winn [Jeremy Jordan] to help him, Winn is his man in the van, so the two of them are doing this together. Winn and James together is comedy gold. Watching Winn, as he takes his job at the DEO, but then he's lying to everybody about how he's spending his nights, because he's going out with James, and how he walks in exhausted or walks in with a black eye and says he walked into a door, is the fun excitement of building these first 10 episodes.” Link: http://www.blastr.com/2016-10-12/james-olsen-become-dc-comics-vigilante-guardian-cws-supergirl Did Flashpoint create a future Legends of Tomorrow superhero? Oliver discovers that someone took Laurel’s sonic device from the hospital. The imposter is Evelyn Sharp, a H.I.V.E. prisoner whom Oliver believed was with Darhk voluntarily. So more self-blame for Ollie. Captain Lance desperately looks for proof that Laurel is alive, then, when her death is absolutely proven, for a way to resurrect Laurel, even calling Nyssa al Ghul for some Lazarus Pit assistance. Diggle, full of guilt over getting Laurel killed, goes after Darhk's wife, Ruvé Adams, but Oliver stops him from killing her (for some reason). Ruvé issues arrest warrants for all vigilantes. SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #166 - Arrow 4x19 - Canary Cry | Review - The team attempts to mourn Laurel's death as a new Black Canary is seen stopping an illegal weapons exchange. Sharp goes after Ruvé publicly, but Oliver is able to talk her out of killing her. At Laurel's funeral, Oliver reveals Laurel was The Black Canary to preserve her legacy. Afterwards, Oliver vows to kill Darhk. In flashbacks, Oliver and Laurel begin a new relationship following the death of Tommy Merlyn, but leaves for ultimately leaves Laurel to grieve on her own when he leaves for Lian Yu.
The Starling Tribune: An Unofficial Arrow TV Show Fan Podcast
Starling Tribune - Season 4 Edition – Episode 3: Restoration The Official Arrow Podcast of the Gonna Geek Network During another fun Blab.im live recording, Neil, Stargate Pioneer and Chris gather again to discuss the 3rd episode of the 4th Arrow season. It was great to see Nyssa back on the show and just how evil Malcom Merlyn can be. Why did that one Ghost let Diggle live at the battle of the Woodmill? SP has a pretty good theory about why that Neil added unto. Damian Darhk sure demonstrate how deadly simple parlor card tricks can be. SP teaches that worksite cranes sometimes do come equipped with remote control technologies thus validating Felicity's ability to remote control one from the Arrow Lair 3.0. There is a LOT of Lair 3.0 talk too. Felicity's mention of Mirikuru soldiers was a Great Pull. SP has issue with Felicity's machine gun spray and pray move. Felicty's character growth comes to a new level in the episode and everyone is impressed. Chris finds a reason for Oliver to have sleeves on his costume again. ( #bringbacksleeves ) We're all excited to see the T-Sphere's and of course Ray Palmer is trying to get Felicity's attention through her mobile phone. The show finally found a way to get rid of the Lazarus Pit after its heroic and historic reanimation of Sara. And the hosts have a message for Laurel: When MALCOLM tells you that doing something is a bad idea you've probably gone way too far. Someone needs to get Sara and Thea bad to 100%. Will it be Damian? Will it be Constantine? The relationship between Quentin Lance and Damian continues to confuse everyone. Everyone loves OTA – Original Team Arrow. Everyone rates the villain of the week, Double Down. SP was happy to see Ryan Robbins but knows Oliver is going to kills him eventually. The guys take bets on where Oliver is heading with the woman. We revisit the “Star City Beard Report” including his mutant power. Would you take a card for us? The fights continue to be amazing including the double fight this week and the sparing in Nanda Parbat and Thea's nightmare wake-up call fight. And finally, what happened with Oliver's decision to run for mayor? SP's theory about the Lair comes in handy here. If you're planning for a little "Restoration" there's no need to go to the hardware store. Just take your dead sister to Nanda Parbat to dip her in the Lazarus Pit. Laurel thinks this is a great plan, even though everyone else tells her not to do it. But when Sara returns, she seems a little different. Malcolm is hoping he can restore a bit of a relationship with Thea, but she's not too happy with those prospects. And Felicity is going to make Diggle and Oliver restore their friendship if it kills them. Which it might if Damien Darhk and Double Down have anything to say about it. Jay and Josh restore some security on the Arrow Lair on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast. Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
Laurel and Thea arrive in Nanda Parbat and request Malcolm, the new Ra's al Ghul, to use the Lazarus Pit to bring Sara back to life. He initially refuses, but in order to appease Thea he eventually agrees. When Sara returns feral, Nyssa destroys the Lazarus Pit in retaliation. An A.R.G.U.S. operative delivers Diggle information on the woman, Mina Fayad, that hired Floyd Lawton to kill his brother. Fayad also works for H.I.V.E., and meets with Darhk about the growing issue with the vigilantes in Star City. She brings in a metahuman hitman named Jeremy Tell, who can turn his playing card tattoos into physical projectiles. After Tell's initial failure, Darhk kills Fayad for challenging him. Diggle and Oliver team up and take down Tell, but get no new information on H.I.V.E. In flashbacks, Oliver is forced to use torture techniques to interrogate the prisoners, who are being used to harvest heroin-cocaine hybrid plants, after a parcel of drugs goes missing.

If you're trying to wisely choose "The Candidate" that best suits Star City, you may not have a long list to pick from. Queen family friend, Jessica Danforth has decided to run for mayor, but it takes about fifteen seconds to see that may not be such a good decision. After Anarky, the incredibly creepy associate of Damien Darhk, kidnaps Danforth's daughter, Oliver leads the team to stop him. But he has to worry about Thea going 'pit-crazy' after finally showing symptoms of violence from taking a dip in the Lazarus Pit last year. Laurel thinks she has the solution to Thea's problem, but it involves returning to Nanda Parbat and taking a little surprise with her. Jay and Josh would throw their hat in the Mayoral ring, but they're afraid there might be bullet holes in them when they land on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast. Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
The team take out another Ghost operation, but Diggle feels like it is not enough and Oliver continues to worry about Thea's excessive aggression when taking out criminals. Meanwhile, Queen family friend Jessica Danforth puts a bid in as the city's new mayor. During her announcement she is attacked by Lonnie Machin, an anarchist for hire working for Darhk. While trying to locate Machin, Thea's aggressive behavior seriously injures a witness, which forces Oliver to reveal to her the warning Malcolm Merlyn gave him before he put Thea in the Lazarus Pit. The team goes after Machin, successfully stopping him, but Thea again goes too far and sets Machin on fire in the process. Later, Machin escapes police custody in route to the hospital. Laurel decides to take Thea back to Nanda Parbat to find a way to stop the aggression, while Laurel wants to bring Sara's body to the pit. Meanwhile, Oliver decides to run for mayor after Jessica backs out of the race. In flashbacks, Oliver infiltrates a local military operation run by a man namedReiter. Oliver feigns ignorance of the military operation, but Reiter decides to recruit him for his cause instead of killing Oliver.

Ra's al Ghul has returned and wants to learn the secrets of life and death--beyond those he already has from the Lazarus Pit. Only two people can stop him: Batman and his own daughter, Talia. Will Batman learn from his last experiences with the al Ghul family? FInd out in "Avatar!"
When we left our heroes, Ra's al Ghul was holding his own daughter above his head, ready to kill her in a sudden fit of insanity, brought on by the rejuvinating effects of the Lazarus Pit. In this episode, we look at the similarities between Batman and Ra's al Ghul, as well as whether Batman would ever be able to have a romantic relationship in addition to the life he leads as Gotham's number one crimefighter. That and more here!
It's our first real look at the mysterious Ra's al Ghul, "The Demon's Head!" First introduced, along with his daughter, Talia, in "Off Balance," this quintessential member of Batman's Rogues really gets to shine in "The Demon's Quest, Part 1." When Robin and Talia are kidnapped on the same day, Ra's recruits Batman to help him rescue them. But is everything ever as it seems in Gotham City? Their journey takes them from Gotham to Calcutta to Malaysia to the Himalayas and, finally, to the infamous Lazarus Pit! But why? Find out in this week's episode of The Arkham Sessions!
Thea is "The Fallen" and can't get up. So Oliver loads up the team and takes her to Nanda Parbat to lower her in the Lazarus Pit. He believes it is the only way, even though he will have to give up everything to save her. Felicity may have a plan to get him out of there, but first they might have a little fun. Jay and Josh enjoy a little time in the Magic Hot Tub on this week's Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast. Listen in and justice will be served...to your MP3 player!
Mike and special guest, Casey, are back with an all-new episode of Quiver: The Green Arrow Podcast to recap the CW Arrow episode, “The Fallen!” Can the Lazarus Pit really save Thea’s life? Will Oliver be forced to accept Ra’s offer? Was that Olicity scene really necessary!?! All these questions and more will be answered on […]
This week the guys look at what parts of geek culture should be resurrected and given the Lazarus Pit treatment. They also discuss James' 50 Shades of Grey experience, Darth Vader #1 from Marvel, the Constantine Finale, Neil Blomkamp directing a new Alien movie, Ghost in the Shell fans petitioning for the removal of Scarlett Johansson and MORE! Don't forget our live show at Dave and Busters in VA Beach is next Wednesday at 7pm. There are still some seats available! RSVP on our Facebook page too!
Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, Ra's Al Ghul emerging from the Lazarus Pit, or that raging case of herpes that keeps flaring up, we have returned! It's been six long months, we're shaking of the rust andcelebrating our triumphant return. A lot has gone down since the last time we talked to you, and Jake and Tom do their best to cover it all.
