His favorite drink is a sparkling water and his fantastic remix of Stimming's Pidgeons is on repeat since weeks in the Schirmchendrink headquarters. Fka Mash started making music in 2006. His first release was on Baainar Records of South Africa in 2011. It was in 2016, when Fka Mash layed his footprint in his hometown, Jozi, and across South Africa and slowly into the world - both as a DJ and Producer. After his first release with Stay True Sounds, owned by South Africa's Kid Fonque, he suddenly appeared on playlists from notable names in the industry such as Black Coffee, Jullian Gomes, Vinny Da Vinci, Jimpster, Lars Behrenroth, Themba and Sebasten Leger to name a few. 2020 & 2021 saw Fka Mash further go on to appear on Shimza & Dj PH's renowned Lockdown House Party, collaborate with and do remixes for big artists locally and abroad such as Bongeziwe Mabandla, Pablo Bolivar, Nico de Andrea, Lemon & Herb and Stimming, as well reach massive milestones such as bagging a SAMA 26 nomination for Remix Of the Year – SculpturedMusic – Sad To Think.
