If you could send a message from your future self, what would you say to yourself? You might talk about the worry and anxiety that plague you today and what trusting God can do. You might tell yourself to never walk alone and ask for help. You might remind yourself of your identity in Christ and the dangers of finding it anywhere else. Or, you may talk about forgiveness or patience. From May 21 to June 18, 2023, Redemption will explore these varied ideas and issues in the sermon series Letters From My Future Self. Letters with titles like Don't Overthink It, Ask For Help, Find Your Identity, Please Forgive, and Embrace The Wait are all waiting for us to read together.

INTRODUCTION “Food planning” seems to be the stumbling block or barrier to having a successful runners nutrition plan”. We know the feelings of frustration at never having enough time to shop for and prepare easy, healthy meals and snacks to fuel YOUR RUNNING. (it's been a challenge for us too) ... Having lots to do is REAL LIFE – we all are super busy and have lots of responsibilities BUT if we don't find time to have a healthy food plan everything suffers – ENERGY, BODY COMPOSITION, IMMUNE HEALTH (really crucial at this time), HORMONE HEALTH (key for women), MENTAL HEALTH (we need a healthy food plan to promote our mood and mindset) so that's why we really focus on helping women find space and time to make planning HAPPEN as easily as possible. JOIN us to learn our 5 Steps to easy food planning over 2 episodes. SHOW NOTES (00:48) The background to Food Planning for Runners and https://sunny-trailblazer-4067.ck.page/eb05805747 (how to download our accompanying ebook.) (04:46) STEP 1 Discover your FOODIE PLANNING PERSONALITY – a bit of fun to give you insights into how you approach your food planning or not! Alongside some tips to help you. (11:39) Aileen and Karen's FOODIE PLANNING PERSONALITIES (16:09) STEP 2 MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES. This step is all about coming up with a simple list of meal choices. The reason for a list is once you've done “the thinking” all you have to do is choose! Later , you can update your list anytime. (17:57) Reflect on your personality type and how you approach your food planning or not … you can ask yourself … · How much time do you currently set aside for food preparation and cooking? · Also, which foods do you currently eat that you would like to change to more healthy options? · Think about HOW you currently eat. Is it leaving you energised or exhausted? · HOW could you change your meal ideas to ensure that eating leaves you feeling satiated and healthy? (23:31) Where to get inspiration from when choosing meals. (32:28) STEP 3 – MAKE A PLAN Choose 2 days to put your menu plan into action and then choosing meal choices from your list. DON'T OVERTHINK IT just do it. Planning can be difficult for some people so, don't overthink it – just do it – it's a 2-minute job to choose the 2 days and then maybe 5 minutes to pick the meal choices from your list (38:49) KEY TAKEAWAYS Our Vision for the 5-STEPS is that once you've practiced them, you'll be able to seamlessly and easily do the 5 STEPS. You'll have cut out any resistance and procrastination around healthy food planning and have found time to plan, so that is no longer a reason or excuse for you not to have a runners nutrition plan. Having a healthy food plan in place promotes · ENERGY · BODY COMPOSITION · IMMUNE HEALTH (crucial post covid) · HORMONE HEALTH (key for women) · MENTAL HEATH (we need a healthy food plan to promote our mood and mindset) We want you to prioritise your runners food plan so that it is as important and easy as putting on your running shoes. It's a wealth of information that you will want to tune in for!“Done is better than perfect…progress over perfection.” – Eric SilvermanEric Silverman, Founder and Owner of Baltimore Maryland based Voluntary Disruption (VD), a division of Silverman Benefits Group (SBG), is considered one of the most recognized authorities and disruptive forces in enhanced employee funded benefits (the industry formerly known as “voluntary”).Prior to the insurance business, Eric had zero professional experience; starting his career as a college intern and quickly propelled into management; focusing most efforts on new business development through the procurement and development of new broker partners and the recruiting of college interns and career agents to support his broker focused initiative. Raise your hand if the last few months has had you stuck in your head more than usual! It's easy to get stuck on loops of anxiety, worry, or second-guessing. Today, I'm joined by my brilliant friend Anne Bogel- enneagram expert and author of the new book Don't Overthink It. Anne breaks down how overthinking typically manifests for each enneagram type and how we can break out of unhealthy cycles with quick and amazingly simple adjustments- so you can live with more freedom, joy, and clarity. We also chat about: -Why overthinking may not look the way you imagine. -How perfectionism traps us into chronic overthinking. -Why scheduling time to worry can save you tons of mental energy in the long run. Favorite quotes: 1. When people lose their cool or get really mad about something they see on the internet or say something they regret, or get sucked into endless scrolling on Instagram they don't do it when they are healthy, happy, well-rested and well-fed. They do it when they're tired and hungry. 2. I thought I knew what overthinking looked like but I did not see how many different forms it takes in our lives. It can feel like worry, it can look like second-guessing, it can look like spending too much time on second guesses, it could look like laying awake at 3am, it could look like worrying about the small stuff but the underlying thread is that these thoughts are repetitive, unhealthy, unhelpful. 3. You think nobody should know your own life and own mind better than you but I think it really comes back around to you need some limitations. Limit yourself to free yourself. In this episode I answer these questions: 1. Is it true that God never gives us more than we can handle? (49:12) 2. I want to start a side business to bring in income for the family but I don't know if I have the personality for it. How do I know if I can make it work? Today we talk with Will and Anne Bogel. Anne is the founder and creator of Modern Mrs. Darcy and the podcast, What Should I Read Next? She's also the author of numerous books including her latest, Don't Overthink It (which released March 2, 2020). Will is the strong silent type mostly in the background who helps make everything happen. We get into why Modern Mrs. Darcy became a site primarily about books and reading, how she got the idea for What Should I Read Next?, and what's on the list of things that they will be working on in the future. Shawn even asks Anne when her first novel is being released. Did she answer? Not really, but she didn't rule it out, either.
