Hey, do you need help moving? We may have some people you can call, but it's not us. Instead, we're here to talk about moving! In the course of your life, you're going to end up moving from one place to the next. We've done so much of this that we've begun to perfect the art. From packing, to finding a place to live and even moving a piano. Mike, Pat, Joel and Josh are like 4 Guys and a Truck, but without the truck. We are ready to unpack this episode and pop some bubble wrap. Let's get moving! Join our Discord channel HERE! You can donate to the show at our Ko-Fi Page! This week's Geek Life Radio Artist/Song of the Week is H2Awesome and Uncle Owen!

Intern Elijah gets an "intern name", plus it's the most we've talked about sports on the show in a long time! We also hype the upcoming NIGHT OF COMICPROV charity event next week as well as KRACKLEFEST 7, and we play a lot of song requests...from space! We talk about the Oscar nominations, but then realize that we don't know anything about any of the movies. Hilarity ensues. Later, we talk about fan-favorite Seahawks running back, Marshawn Lynch was up to during a recent trip to Houston (but not the one you're thinking of!) We also share our thoughts about the Pro Bowl and try to figure out how to make that game more interesting before getting in some Super Bowl predictions. Our sports talk continues when we talk about long-overdue number one ranking for Gonzaga and the bias against Pacific Northwest teams. As part of our ongoing KRACKLEFEST hype, we play songs from all three bands, Kirby Krackle, Chamber Band, and H2Awesome! Including songs about Dungeons & Dragons, Doctor Who, and a special jam for you Finn/Poe shippers. Don't miss A NIGHT OF COMICPROV Monday February 6th with our friends from COSTUMED CHARACTERS FOR CAUSES. Nerd rockers Jeff LaGreca, Jon Price, and Charlie LaGreca of H2Awesome bust out the guitars in studio to serenade us in the geekiest way possible! And my 12 year old son and I unbox a mystery motherlode of comic books! All in the 11th episode of 1.21 Geekawatts!
At this past weekend's New York Comic Con, Pants chatted with H2Awesome about their Rock Comic Con concert, and with writer Tom King and inker Juan Castro about what they are currently working on in comics. NYCC: If Pants can make it there, he can make it anywhere! (55:38)
Ginny Tonic and Charlie are back from the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) and they're loaded up with comic topics to discuss. A couple of those even make it onto the show this week! Upholding their C2E2 tradition for the second consecutive year, they select three creators to interview during the show and share those conversations. Also this week Ginny and Charlie discuss how to ask for money and cover the nature and sustainability of Kickstarter. Next, they feature a couple beers in the Bottoms Up segment that come direct from the show and include a twist they didn't see coming. They end (after almost forgetting to record the close) a little tipsy with music made by the man who inspired Charlie to podcast!
Brother D takes a short movie-watching-and-reviewing break in Episode 186 of Mail Order Zombie, but that leaves room for a book review from Silent Death when he visits Dust by Joan Frances Turner. Need-a-Nickname Scott dips his toes into the news with the Zombie Beat, Don Coscarelli tells us a bit about John Dies at the End and we go back to Crypticon Seattle for the panel "Zombies Can’t Run & Vampires Don’t Sparkle: The Psychology of Why We Argue Over What Fictional Things Can Or Can’t Do" with Eloise J. Knapp, Chris Saint, Steve Holetz, and Michael Montoure (with Brother D moderating). Miss Bren does her best to keep everyone on track during the Feedback Discussion, and the band H2Awesome! swings by with the song "Carl, Stay in the House."INTRO (00:00)ZOMBIE BEAT (03:35)DON COSCARELLI (10:23)DUST (12:52)FEEDBACK (17:48)CARL, DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE (52:05)PANEL (54:13)Mail Order Zombie Facebook Group - http://tinyurl.com/facebookmozMail Order Zombie Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/mailorderzombieEmail us at MailOrderZombie@gmail.com or call us at 206-202-2505!ComiCONN Comic Book and SciFi Convention - http://comiconn.com/Eloise J.
