This week Frankie Tortora and Steve Folland have a chat in response to a question from stylist, writer and blogger Hannah Bullivant. She says:“I would love your thoughts on the perils/advantages of being a ‘multi-hyphen’ freelancer. Sometimes I think it’s really clever (have different income streams, keeps me interested and engaged) and sometimes I really regret it (such little time and stretched thin! Especially as only have 2 days of childcare!)”What would your advice be? Let us know your thoughts using #DIFTKpodcast on Twitter and Instagram, and join in the conversation via the DIFTK Community on Facebook.•••Hannah Bullivant's websiteFrankie Tortora's websiteSteve Folland's websiteSteve's podcast - Being FreelanceDoing It For The Kids websiteDIFTK Facebook CommunityDIFTK InstagramDIFTK TwitterSupport DIFTK on Ko-Fi

Today’s guest is stylist, writer and nature lover Hannah Bullivant. We talk about Hannah's journey to finding her calling in an unexpected industry, and the path to believing that styling makes a difference to more than just the way things look, kindness as a core life and business value, building charity into our work in small ways, being honest about the journey, always learning and being willing to mess up. This episode is part of the free Everyday Difference community project. "What can I do today to be kind to myself?" - Hannah Bullivant Some of the things we talked about: How Hannah found her space as a stylist (after initially not feeling she fit into that world) Why styling matters is about more than looks - including the concept of home and the way it makes people feel Building charity into your paid work (even in a small way) The importance of bringing nature into her work Overcoming the worry of your work being too “frivolous” and figuring out your calling Kindness as a business and life value, and changing the way we talk to ourselves How Hannah applies this value to being an online influencer The importance of sometimes stepping back, passing the mic, and being open to getting things wrong Being honest about flexible working, childcare and self-employment Being grateful for achieving your “dream", but also being honest about the unexpected struggles that come with it For episode show notes & links, head to https://ruthpoundwhite.com/podcast/

Full show notes at: https://www.josephinebrooks.co.uk/podcast I’m super excited to share this week’s episode, which is a chat with the wonderful Hannah Bullivant. Not only is she an incredible stylist, writer and mum of two but she also has a big place in her heart for planning, which started with The Life book. Hannah’s Life Book, which she now shares as a course and series of printables on her website, started life as a process her and her husband went through each year to figure out where they wanted their lives to go and how they were going to get there. Something Hannah’s discovered over the 10+ years she’s now been ‘life booking’ is how kindness and self-empathy can play a huge role in helping us make realistic plans and reach our goals (or to turn around that traditional concept of ‘failure’ if we don’t). The other thing Hannah is passionate about when it comes to planning is planning for imperfect people, AKA anyone who feels like that don’t have their shit together, is a mum raising children, is someone struggling with their mental or physical health, the list goes on. Because in fact, we’re all imperfect in our own way and there’s lots we can learn from Hannah’s approach to planning for work and life, lots of which she shares in this episode. We also chatted about soulful and seasonal styling, and why our homes matter so much to us.

The New Year is a natural time for setting goals, plans and intentions - so why do so few of us wind up making them actually happen? And worse, why do they always feel so grim? We also talk about finances, self doubt, launching ebooks and online courses, plus mailing list building and more. Full show notes at meandorla.co.uk/podcast59

More than 1 in 10 people are likely to have a ‘disabling anxiety disorder’ at some stage in their life. There are many internal and external factors that contribute to anxiety and many approaches to living with it. I think talking about the day to day reality of living with anxiety is incredibly helpful. So if this is something you experience, this episode is just for you. I’m speaking with Hannah Bullivant - a writer, mother, feminist and interior stylist who has lived with anxiety her whole life.
Hannah Bullivant is our lovely guest today! She is a stylist for dozens of brands and loves her work. But a couple of personal upheavals led her to completely change her lifestyle and the aesthetic of her home and surroundings. On her blog, she chronicles her transformation and the home that has resulted from celebrating every day delights that change with the seasons. And while she may have purged her old eclectic style in favor of embracing a simpler approach, she has not lost that feeling of abundance in how she lives. And today, she's going to share with us exactly how she does it!
