Livros: - The Grace in Dying, a Message of Hope, Comfort and Spiritual Transformation, Kathleen Dowling Singh.- The Immortal Diamond: The Search for Our True Self, Richard Rohr.- Of Water and the Spirit: Ritual, Magic, and Imagination in the Life of an African Shaman, Malidoma Patrice Some.- Open Mind, Open Heart, Thomas Keating. Música: If We Could Let Go, Kurtis Parks.

Our guest on the podcast today is Faith Fuller PhD. PCC, ORSCC, co-created the first ICF-accredited systems coaching program and is a founder and past president of CRR Global. A coach and consultant, she is currently completing a book, Relationship Matters. Faith believes the next path of evolution for humanity is getting better at relationships, rather than just more tech. She tries to live her life from the principle that everything that happens to us has something important to offer our development. She is currently on the deep learning path of stage 4 cancer. In this conversation, we go into unchartered territory as we explore the complexities of facing death and the potential for personal transformation that lies therein. Although it can be a difficult topic for many, it can also be an opportunity to reflect on our lives and deepen our spirituality. Faith shares her unique insights from navigating stage 4 cancer, to trust our life and the invisible forces that are guiding our way. She reminds us to have faith, to be present for what is, and listen to how we are feeling instead of doing what we think is expected of us, allowing us to flow in life instead of struggling for a direction.Listen in as Faith shares how she is making peace with death by accepting it and what is is teaching her about life. How important it is to trust the natural process of the body, and yet make space to continue to reap the benefits of curiosity and optimism, even when facing the loss of a loved one or a terminal diagnosis. Being mindful and in tune with the present moment is key in allowing us to make peace with necessary endings that punctuate our life and inspire us to accept the inevitability of change. So incredibly inspiring! If you get the sense that there's more for you to do in this world, more of an impact you can make with your life and work, then I encourage you to listen to this deeply resonant dialogue for insights. I suspect you'll enjoy Faith's perspective on what we can do to embrace our own traumas and ultimately confront our fears especially when we meet a change that feels like everything.. I think you'll enjoy this conversation as much as I did.Key TakeawaysFacing death through Stage 4 cancer and how this can be a transformative experienceFinding growth in the face of loss and uncertaintyLetting go of external framing to increase receptivity: an exploration of choosing to be with what isHow it takes courage and curiosity to reclaim the sacredness of lifeUnlocking the gifts in change: exploring how a life of intentional relationships contributes to your wellbeingMemorable Quote“The changes that you go through in your life are uniquely designed to evolve you psychologically, spiritually, and socially. Even the ones that feel so devastating that you can't imagine recovering from them. So don't be so afraid of the things that come up; the deaths, the illnesses, the bankruptcies, the pandemics. They all bring a gift as well. It just sometimes takes a lifetime to know what that gift is. You can trust life it will bring you what you need to evolve as a person.”—Faith FullerEpisode Resources:CRR Global WebsiteFaith's Linkedin ProfileMaking Friends With Ending - Linkedin Article by Faith FullerBOOK: The Grace In Dying: A Message Of Hope, Comfort and Spiritual Transformation by Kathleen Dowling Singh

Lori Erickson is our latest guest on the Live Authentically Show, and she is here to talk about her experiences with the connections between travel and spirituality. She is a travel writer who specializes in spiritual journeys. Her most recent book is titled, Near the Exit: Travels with the Not-So-Grim Reaper, and you can purchase it on Amazon. Lori believes that it’s important to listen to your inner voice in order to live your authentic life. She finds that spiritual travel to sacred places grants access to this inner voice to tap into the deeper wells of spirit and energy that she wouldn’t have access to otherwise. Travel and spirituality go hand in hand and noticing everything in new places with all of the senses is a way to feel alive. Lori finds that visiting holy places draws a certain stillness that helps her be open to the experiences. Verbut in South Dakota is a place near the Black Hills that stands out to her spiritually. Vision quests and sacred ceremonies were performed here by Plains Indian tribes. These sacred places allow for an opportunity for reflection to look onto the next year and back on the previous year. Lori also studies ways to integrate morality into the human experience, and turned to travel to learn more about morality.Lori finds value in traditions such as the Mexican practice, the Day of the Dead, to help treasure life more. She experienced a major mindset shift that changed her fear of dying after reading the Buddhist book, Grace in Dying, by Kathleen Dowling Singh. She finds importance in having meaningful conversations with loved ones to prepare for inevitable death. Lori’s next book is going to focus on the soul of the family tree, ancestors and the popularity of taking a DNA test. Her view is that people are a product of generations of spiritual and cultural forces, rather than just being an individual. In terms of healing modalities for overcoming trauma and accepting death, Lori recommends a spiritual sense therapist.A solid belief system is important to Lori, and she followed different paths at different times in her own life. She is drawn to the mystical paths that are available in a variety of different religious traditions. These traditions provide a sense of community and act as a support system, so that people don’t have to carry on by themselves in times of grief and questioning. She plans to take a trip out to the Serpent Mound in Ohio for her next spiritual destination. You can contact Lori by visiting her website to find more of her works, follow her Facebook and Twitter accounts to stay up-to-date with new book releases and you can get in touch with her through email. To join Pamela's community of like-minded individuals, visit www.liveauthencially.today/fb. In this episode, Gail, Catherine and MJ discuss what it means to be in community—with one’s spouse, children and others in community of faith. Married for 53 years, MJ recounts the deepening of her marriage relationship through Marriage Encounters and how ‘church’ happens in lots of ways other than institutional religion.  In particular, MJ describes how women Catholics are claiming visibility and voice. As an educator, “teaching is like breathing.” As a philosophy, “leisure is an attitude into the mind and a condition of the soul.”   "What we lose in the physical, we gain in the wisdom of the spirit." - MJ Dix Ed.D   Take-Aways: Spirituality is a trip inside to learn how to become who you are You are always enough Keep your head up, keep going—just do it! The Grace in Dying by Kathleen Dowling Singh.  (2000) The first half is about transpersonal psychology, taking on the journey from birth when we are strongly ourselves, through early life when the world does its best to convince us otherwise, to a re-embracing ("The Path of Return") of who we are created to be but have not yet fully become.  The second half is about the dying process and "The gift of suffering" and "The Experience of Grace".2.  Adult Faith : Growing in Wisdom and Understanding by Diarmuid O'Murchu.  (2010) This book takes us from "Conventional Inherited Wisdom" by understanding our experiences of "Embedded Codependency, to "Adult Empowerment.  This is not a book about religion. Rather it is about our relationship with our beliefs.3.  Dear Joan Chittister: Conversations with Women in the Church. (2019) This presents the experiences of eleven well-educated, talented  adult women of faith working in ministry in the Catholic Church...or trying to.  Joan responds to each offering considerable wisdom, encouragement, and grace as only she can.Joan has many other books, all of which I recommend.  Particularly "The Time is Now" which offers wisdom about our current political situation and "The Gift of Years: Growing Old Gracefully".  When the body declines the mind and spirit have grown strong.4.  The many offerings of Anthony DeMello in both book and You-tube forms.  Just search DeMello.
