It's ANOTHER #FridaysWithForrester edition of GCR, as Drew for some reason doesn't want to come in on Fridays anymore. Weird bit. Freddy Adu was in the news this week-is there any athlete whose hype was more off base than Freddy's? Also, what will the Orioles do between now and the deadline and what to make of the NFL owners' INSANE 18 game proposal? In Hour 2, a KYLE OTTENHEIMER Quiz this week-Glenn had a 14-7* lead over Drew coming into this week...how much do the guys know about combo meals? We've reached the MLB All-Star Break (although in Baltimore it feels like we've been on a break for even longer). Sadly we've also reached the end of the Women's World Cup-but fortunately it came with another American win. We discussed the USWNT's triumph with former USWNT player and Maryland native Joanna Lohman at the bottom of Hour 1-including how impressive it was that the American women played as well as they did considering the targets on their backs. After some Orioles and Wimbledon discussion to open Hour 2, we welcomed former NFL Defensive End Akbar Gbaja-Biamila (American Ninja Warrior) back to the show to discuss ANW's recent visit to Baltimore and his thoughts on who the team to beat is in the AFC North (spoiler-not the Ravens). And we wrapped the show by chatting with new MLL commissioner Sandy Brown ahead of the MLL All-Star Game coming to Annapolis July 27.
