Glenn Clark Radio is a daily trip through the world of Baltimore sports. Glenn and Kyle Ottenheimer are discussing sports, not life and death matters. They approach it that way. Guests include some of the biggest newsmakers in the area and beyond.
A bye week of Ravens football...and the Ravens are back in first place! We react to the week that was in the NFL and college football, including a very good week for Glenn in Picks. Near the end of Hour 1, SI's Conor Orr joined us to preview the NFL trade deadline. Will the Ravens make a deal? Early in Hour 2, we dished out our "Pats on the Ass" and "Slaps to the Helmet" for the "first half" of the Ravens' season. Who deserves the most praise and the most scorn for the totality of seven games? At the bottom of Hour 2, Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer checked in to discuss the trade deadline and what the Ravens' options are for trying to find a running back with a burst. And we wrapped the show with our weekly chat with Jeremy Conn from 105.7 The Fan, discussing the trade deadline and why we don't need more "Tiger King" or "Squid Game."
We brought back our annual College Basketball Preview Show today, as our guru Patrick Stevens (@D1scourse, Washington Post) joined us in studio. Then we got to #SenatorsSuggestions a day early as Senator Justin Ready joined us to preview the college football weekend. After that, we took a listen to Segment 2 of The Tyus Bowser Show from The Center Club this week with special guest DeShon Elliott. At the top of Hour 2, we discussed it with former Terps and NFL quarterback Shaun Hill. That...sucked. We discuss it all today, particularly how we measure the Ravens' nearly miraculous 5-2 record against their struggles and their total thud going into the bye. At the bottom of Hour 1, Qadry Ismail helped us try to measure the two. At the top of Hour 2, former Ravens tight end Dan Wilcox tried to sell us on why the run game can be better. At the bottom of Hour 2, our weekly chat with Jeremy Conn (105.7 The Fan) and we wrapped the show by going through our "Slaps To The Helmet" for the performance against the Bengals.
Insanely busy Friday show as we get ready for a football weekend. At the top of Hour 2, former NFL GM Randy Mueller joined us to explain why John Harbaugh is currently the best coach in the NFL. After that we made our Picks for the week and we wrapped with The PressBox Fantasy Football Show as KZ joined us in studio.
Glenn had himself A DAY. All before 10am. Rant incoming. But that's not all. Stan "The Fan" Charles stopped by the studio with the latest edition of PressBox and discussed the MLB Playoffs and issues with gambling in Maryland. Just after the bottom of Hour 1, our weekly chat with Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) covered MLB writers freaking out about starting pitching, the lengths of games and more. At the bottom of Hour 2, our friend Gregg Rosenthal from NFL Network/NFL.com checked in and offered a trade idea for the Ravens to address their tackle needs. And we wrapped the show by listening to Segment 1 of last night's Tyus Bowser Show with special guest Daelin Hayes.
The Ravens have the best record in the AFC! That's neat! Does it mean anything? No, not really. But it IS neat! Near the bottom of Hour 1, we caught up with Braves PBP voice Chip Caray so he could teach us more about what is definitely our favorite baseball team now, the Atlanta Braves, ahead of NLCS Game 3. How did they get here? How will it be different than last time? Early in Hour 2, a visit with our friend Aditi Kinkhabwala from NFL Network after she was in Baltimore for Ravens/Chargers. Are the Ravens the best team in the AFC? And at the bottom of Hour 2, we caught up with Towson football coach Rob Ambrose after their big win over #12 Rhode Island Saturday.
The Ravens won. Well really, they WON. I mean, holy crap, who saw that coming like that? We discussed it in depth today, the first day of the Paul Valle era here on GCR. At the bottom of Hour 1, we re-capped a fruitful week of Picks (at least for Glenn) and then dished out our #PatsOnTheAss for the Ravens' dominant performance against the Chargers. In Hour 2, we caught up with ESPN Radio's Ian Fitzsimmons after he worked the sidelines for the Baltimore/Los Angeles matchup and then our weekly chat with 105.7 The Fan's Jeremy Conn covered the Ravens' win, betting misfortune and the start of NBA season.
It's Kyle's final day. We shared some memories and emotions and more throughout the course of the show. Plus-the WFT is a mess...AGAIN, the Dodgers won and that sucks, Bart Scott is embarrassing and that's sad and much more. Late in Hour 1, PressBox Ravens beat writer Dan Wilcox joined us to discuss the Chargers games, the linebacker issues, Rashod Bateman's return and the possibility of trading for a running back. Our buddy Kris Ruhling from Great 8's Memorabilia told us about how you can meet Justin Tucker...FOR FREE...and help the community at the same time. And late in Hour 2, the final "Kyle In The Kitchen" brought us some roasted broccoli.
We did things a bit out of order today. We lead the show with this week's PressBox Fantasy Football Show, as Ken Zalis told us what we need to know ahead of Week 6 of the Fantasy Football season. At the bottom of Hour 1, we made our Picks for the weekend of college and NFL games. Near the top of Hour 2, CBS play by play legend Greg Gumbel joined us before he calls Ravens/Chargers Sunday. What was it like calling Justin Tucker's record kick? He also said something that you don't all appear to have loved. Near the bottom of Hour 2, NFL super agent Leigh Steinberg joined us to discuss the Ravens' attempts to get Lamar Jackson signed long-term and whether he might get a deal similar to what Steinberg's client (Patrick Mahomes) got. Near the end of Hour 2, former NFL tight end Ben Hartsock checked in before he calls Ravens/Chargers for ESPN Radio.
It's the final #WouldYouRatherWednesday of the Kyle Ottenheimer era. Would you rather Ronnie Stanley returned this week and IMMEDIATELY looked like Ronnie Stanley again BUT Patrick Queen continues to disappoint all year OR Queen looks like the guy we always thought he'd be but Stanley doesn't play the rest of the year? Near the bottom of Hour 1, Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) returned to the show to discuss the Ravens and tonight's USMNT/Costa Rica World Cup qualifier. Near the bottom of Hour 2, The Undefeated's David Steele joined us to discuss the Jon Gruden disaster, how Dan Snyder continues to weasel out of trouble and the greatness of Lamar Jackson.
What a friggin' night. It wasn't perfect. It was FARRR from perfect. In fact, it was lucky. Lucky combined with Lamar Jackson, that is. We discussed all of it, including a visit from The Athletic Ravens beat writer Jeff Zrebiec. Is it time to trade for a running back? Can they keep throwing the ball this much? Late in Hour 1 we dished out our Pats On The Ass for the win. Near the bottom of Hour 2, we discussed the Jon Gruden disaster and we wrapped the show by visiting with WWE legend and former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle before he comes to Baltimore Celebfest 2 Saturday as part of the Great 8's Memorabilia Stable.
The NFL had an incredible game with young, marketable stars yesterday that might be the game of the year so OF COURSE hardly anyone could see it. We get you ready for Ravens/Colts tonight. Early in the 10am hour, the great Ron "Jaws" Jaworski joined before he calls Ravens/Colts tonight for Westwood One. Just after the bottom of Hour 1, Ravens WR Miles Boykin checked in to discuss his upcoming return to the field and partnering with the American Cancer Society for tonight's "Crucial Catch" game. And at the bottom of Hour 2, our weekly chat with Jeremy Conn covered Week 5, the Red Sox/Rays debacle and whether heavyweight boxing is "back."
It was a pleasant night of sports viewing between Thursday Night Football, a World Cup qualifier and the Randy Arozarena Show. We talked about all of it today, we MIGHT know who the Zodiac Killer is and a Florida man really does not care for Hollywood. Late in Hour 1, the great Kevin Harlan joined us before he calls Ravens/Colts Monday for Westwood One. Early in Hour 2, the penultimate #KyleInTheKitchen brought us the "Unbreakable Kimchi Schmidt" sandwich. After that, #SenatorsSuggestions, as Senator Justin Ready previewed another solid slate for the college football weekend. And near the end of Hour 2, ESPN's Louis Riddick checked in before he calls Monday Night Football.
The Dodgers won and it was a good, compelling game and yet...meh. Meh. If you were the Ravens, what would you be most inclined to try to address via trade? Near the bottom of Hour 1, former Ravens DC and Colts coach Chuck Pagano joined us to discuss the fallout from the Broncos controversy-including why he thinks Vic Fangio would have done the same thing. Later in Hour 1, we met Navy QB Tai Lavatai-who told us about their dramatic win over UCF and how the team has managed to bounce back from significant adversity. Early in Hour 2, we made our Picks for week of NFL/college games, including Colts/Ravens and Maryland/Ohio State. And at the bottom of Hour 2, the PressBox Fantasy Football Show with Ken Zalis.
Glenn does ANYTHING...as long as Cal Ripken tells him to. We talked about it at the top of today's show. He's also struggling to get into this year's MLB Playoffs. He explained, then Paul Valle III (the host of "The Bataround") joined us to discuss that and the totality of the season for the Orioles. At the top of Hour 2, legendary former Steelers running back Rocky Bleier joined us to discuss the Ravens tying their 100 yard rushing game "record." How much did it mean to him? Does is bother him that the Ravens did what they did to match the record? After that, we played a little #WouldYouRatherWednesday-would you rather the Ravens trade a sixth round pick for Marlon Mack or a third round pick for James Robinson? And we wrapped the show by making a significant announcement about the future of the show.
So we're still talking about it, huh? Weird. I guess...we'll keep talking about it. Let's get a coach's perspective. Former Ravens DC & NFL coach Mike Nolan (now with the Ravens Broadcast Team) joined us at 10:20, former Terp and NFL coach Mike Tice checked in at 11:45. Actor and friend of the program Josh Charles checked in at 10:45 to discuss it (and working with David Simon and Justin Fenton for an upcoming HBO limited series). At 11:15, Jeffri Chadiha from NFL Network/NFL.com joined us after he was in Denver for Ravens/Broncos. We discussed the controversy but also why he does think the Ravens should explore trading for a running back. And at 11:35, Andy Hotchkiss told us about the rebirth of Hammerjacks.
Lots of good things happened yesterday. The Ravens beat a competent football team on the road by two scores. The pass rush was great. James Proche was marvelous. The running backs were...not. The decision to run the ball at the end of the game was also...not great. Glenn explained. Late in Hour 1, former Ravens Super Bowl champion WR/WJZ 13 analyst Qadry Ismail checked in to discuss the win over the Broncos, why he had no issue with the late run and how the Ravens should bring along Rashod Bateman. Early in Hour 2, we re-capped another rough week of picks. We then dished out our "Pats on the Ass" for the Ravens' performance in their win. Late in Hour 2, our weekly chat with 105.7 The Fan's Jeremy Conn covered watching inappropriate movies with our parents, his issues with the final play and a look ahead at the MLB Playoffs.
Among the topics we discussed on Friday's GCR: why football teams need to start letting their opponents score at the end of games sometimes, why it's not necessarily a good thing that the Orioles won a series against the Red Sox but Glenn doesn't want to fight about it and why Kyle is afraid of meeting his favorite comedian. Near the bottom of Hour 1, PressBox Ravens beat writer Bo Smolka checked in to tell us about where the Ravens are health-wise going into Sunday, which receiver could make his debut and more. Later in Hour 1, Hall of Fame wide receiver/CBS analyst James Lofton checked in before he calls Ravens/Broncos Sunday. Is he worried about Marquise Brown's drops? And why does he think Justin Tucker could be a first ballot Hall of Famer? Near the bottom of Hour 2, Senator Justin Ready checked in for this week's "Senator's Suggestions," getting us ready for a great weekend of college football. Plus we met Sports & Social culinary director Ed Evans, Young Utes and Kyle In The Kitchen for some corn dog chicken tenders.

It's Glenn's last day before he jumps out of a plane...so maybe it's just his last day? Should Maryland cancel classes for a football game Friday? Where are you between "concern that the Ravens nearly lost to the Lions" and "not concerned because they were depleted and the drops were such a huge story?" Plus a #FinishThis from out west. Near the bottom of Hour 1, Fox Sports PBP voice Tim Brando checked in before he calls Maryland/Iowa Friday night on FS1. Early in Hour 2, Salisbury mayor Jake Day checked in after participating in the Army Golden Knights' jump today to explain to Glenn what he's getting into tomorrow. And at the bottom of Hour 2, MLB Pipeline's Jim Callis discussed what the significance would be between the Orioles locking up the #1 pick or falling behind the Diamondbacks this week.
So...that REALLY happened, huh? Really! We'll continue to discuss it today. Near the bottom of Hour 1, John Brenkus (who you remember from Sport Science) gave us some context for Justin Tucker's kick, including why it would have been no good had it been off by even A HALF OF AN INCH! We re-capped our week in Picks, dished out some Pats on the Ass for the Ravens' performance and near the bottom of Hour 2 we caught up with 105.7 The Fan's Jeremy Conn to discuss where the Ravens are after three weeks. We wrapped the show by catching up with CBS analyst/former NFL kicker Jay Feely to discuss the kick and why he says Justin Tucker is unquestionably the greatest kicker of all time.
Amont the topics on today's show: a tough night for Lil'Jordan last night but we made it better for him. Plus more on Brandon Hyde returning next year and some disappointment in Adam Schefter's Tweet yesterday. Near the bottom of Hour 1, PressBox Ravens beat writer Bo Smolka checked in to discuss how the O-Line might flush out whenever Ronnie Stanley returns and whether there might be a short leash for Ty'Son Williams if his fumble issues continue. Later in Hour 1, NFL Network/FOX Sports analyst Bucky Brooks checked in to discuss some of the insane things we hear about Lamar Jackson and why he absolutely should not be running less. Near the bottom of Hour 2, our new segment "Senator's Suggestions" as Maryland State Senator Justin Ready helped us preview the weekend of college football. Then we listened to Part 2 of the Tyus Bowser Show with Anthony Levine Sr. and went In The Kitchen with Kyle for some delicious biscuits.
Another busy day on GCR-at 10:20 we chatted with FanSided NFL Insider Matt Lombardo about his puzzling report (quoting an NFL executive) about what trepidation the Ravens might have about signing Lamar Jackson long-term. Early in Hour 2 we caught up with Maryland DE Greg Rose about his incredible path from walk-on to scholarship to being the hero with two sacks against Illinois Friday night. We then made our Picks for the week of college/NFL games and at the bottom of Hour 2, the PressBox Fantasy Football Show, as Ken Zalis joined us in studio to help us set our Week 3 lineups. Plus the Orioles aren't trying as hard as they need to and what's a Florida Man up to this time?
It's a #WouldYouRatherWednesday here on GCR-would you rather we go back in time and J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters never get hurt BUT the Ravens lose to the Chiefs by two touchdowns OR the scenario that ended up playing out? Near the bottom of Hour 1, we listened in on Part 1 of last night's Tyus Bowser Show with special guest Anthony Levine Sr.-discussing the win over the Chiefs and how important Anthony is to Tyus-and every other Ravens player. Late in Hour 1, we caught up with Lions color analyst/former offensive tackle Lomas Brown to preview Sunday's game and to discuss what the Ravens should do with Alejandro Villanueva when Ronnie Stanley returns. Early in Hour 2, Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) checked in with us to discuss the Ryder Cup, the Blue Jays/Rays issue and to play a little #WouldYouRatherWednesday. And late in Hour 2, CBS analyst/former NFL safety Adam Archuleta checked in before he calls Baltimore/Detroit Sunday.
The inaugural Tyus Bowser Show from Mother's Peninsula Grille in Arnold feat. special guest "Co-Cap" Anthony Levine Sr. Glenn and the guys covered the massive win over the Chiefs, some background on both guys, Anthony's role as the "wise sage" on the team and more...
Since we talked about the Ravens exclusively on Monday, we covered a few other NFL things to start today's show. And then got back to the Ravens. At the bottom of Hour 1, ESPN's Kevin Van Valkenburg joined us to discuss whether John Harbaugh's 4th down call was really "ballsy" at all plus how inexplicable it is that Lamar Jackson would want to run less/anyone else thinks he should run less. Early in Hour 2, NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala checked in to discuss the Ravens' massive win, Alejandro Villanueva's bounce back effort at left tackle and her new podcast "NFL Explained." Near the bottom of Hour 2, Pine Ridge PGA pro Dave Hutsell joined us to preview the Ryder Cup and at the end of Hour 2, The Athletic/FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman checked in to discuss Odafe Oweh's breakout performance and the rise of Maryland football.
Today was a celebratory day after the Ravens' massive win over the Chiefs last night. Unreal. Zack Goodman from "The Bataround" was in for Kyle today after he was at M&T Bank Stadium last night. We have so much to discuss. Kevin Zeitler joined us at the top of the show to talk about the massive win in his first experience at "The Bank" as a Raven. At the bottom of Hour 1, Ravens Super Bowl XXXV champ Lional "Jelly Roll" Dalton discussed being back at the game last night and his recent life saving kidney transplant. Early in Hour 2 we dished out our "Pats on the Ass" for the win, then rookie defensive back Brandon Stephens checked in to discuss his first home game as a Raven. And late in Hour 2 we caught up with Jeremy Conn from 105.7 The Fan to discuss the Ravens' win, his big weekend of bets and his unfortunate birthday "celebration."
It was a painful, miserable Friday edition of Glenn Clark Radio. Glenn finally had to pay off his Picks penance from last season, consuming six different Peanut Butter & Mayo sandwiches and a liter of birch beer during the course of the morning. Oh and he also performed some Creed and Vanessa Carlton so, YOU'RE WELCOME. Plus we previewed Ravens/Chiefs with PressBox Ravens beat writer Bo Smolka (bottom of Hour 1), SiriusXM NFL Radio analyst/former NFL O-Lineman Geoff Schwartz (top of Hour 2) and NBC Sports' Jac Collinsworth (end of show).
Things were already problematic but during the course of today's show...they got worse. Ronnie Stanley is reportedly going to miss some time. Cool! Cool! Early in Hour 1, Chiefs color analyst Danan Hughes checked in to preview Sunday night's showdown-what's the path to the Ravens having a chance to finally beat Patrick Mahomes? Later in Hour 1, Maryland Sports Executive Director Terry Hasseltine joined us to preview this weekend's visit from the FIFA delegation for a site visit as Baltimore tries to be a host city for the 2026 World Cup. Early in Hour 2, we make our Picks for NFL Week 2 and Maryland/Illinois. At the bottom of Hour 2, NFL Network's Gregg Rosenthal (the host of the very popular "Courts Of Thunder" podcast) joined us to discuss the Ravens' issues on the offensive line and why he's a little more apprehensive about believing in Latavius Murray. And we wrapped the show by chatting with former Ravens tight end Eric Green about his son Elijah, the presumed #1 pick in next year's MLB Draft.
Glenn's actually got a couple of Norm Macdonald stories to tell as we're all reeling. The Ravens have some roster spots to fill. Near the bottom of Hour 1, former Ravens OL Wally Williams checked in with us to discuss the Ravens' SERIOUS offensive line issues and why he believes they can fix them. Early in Hour 2, Fox Sports analyst/former USC running back Petros Papadakis checked in before he calls Maryland/Illinois for FS1 Friday. And at the bottom of Hour 2, this week's PressBox Fantasy Football Show with Ken Zalis, covering the Ravens' backfield, Eli Mitchell's rise and what was real and what wasn't (both good and bad) from Week 1 of the Fantasy Football season.
So, umm, that STILL happened, huh? Yikes. Let's talk more about it. That will be fun! Alejandro Villanueva is...exactly as bad as we assumed it would be. Yeesh. Late in Hour 1, NFL Network reporter Steve Wyche checked in after covering last night's game. Early in Hour 2, former Ravens DC/Ravens Broadcast Team analyst Mike Nolan shared his thoughts on what happened in Vegas. Our friend Stan "The Fan" Charles stopped by the studio and we dished out our #SlapsToTheHelmet for the Ravens' loss.
It's alliteration time on GCR as we discuss Week 1 of the NFL season. But also, what do we need to see from the Ravens tonight to feel like they have a chance against the Chiefs in Week 2? Near the bottom of Hour 1, we recapped our week in Picks. It...wasn't great. Late in Hour 1, All Time Low's Zack Merrick joined us before they play at M&T Bank Stadium tonight as part of the Ravens' "Countdown to Kickoff" party. And at the bottom of Hour 2, our weekly chat with 105.7 The Fan's Jeremy Conn covering his new national show, the Orioles/Blue Jays brouhaha, the Ravens' running back situation and more.
Yes, everything sucks. We get it. We try to talk through it to start today's show. It's complicated. Near the bottom of Hour 1, PressBox Ravens beat writer Bo Smolka joined us to discuss the injuries to Gus Edwards and Marcus Peters, what the backfield might look like and more. Near the end of Hour 1, legendary Ravens running back Jamal Lewis joined us to share his thoughts on why the group of Latavius Murray, Davonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell isn't a bad group at all in his mind and might be as good as what the Ravens would have had. Early in Hour 2, former Raiders/Penn State QB Matt McGloin checked in to tell us about his former teammate Latavius Murray and to preview Maryland/Howard, which he's calling for Big Ten Network tomorrow night. Near the bottom of Hour 2, CBS' Brad Nessler checked in before he calls Navy/Air Force tomorrow on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Late in Hour 2 "Kyle in the Kitchen" delivered deli nachos. We wrapped by chatting with Hall of Famer Kurt Warner (who is calling Ravens/Raiders for Westwood One). The interview was recorded BEFORE the injuries but Warner believed Murray made all the sense in the world for the Ravens.
The Orioles are winning and that helps nothing. The USMNT winning does, though! We talked about all of that to start Thursday's show, then dove into the odds in each division as NFL season gets underway. Late in Hour 1, Stevenson AD Brett Adams checked in to discuss some exciting free events the Mustangs are hosting this weekend. Then we caught up with our friend Kevin Harlan before he calls Ravens/Raiders Monday night for Westwood One. In Hour 2, this week's picks for the top college and NFL games of the week and at the bottom of Hour 2, the PressBox Fantasy Football Show with Ken Zalis.
It's #WouldYouRatherWednesday on GCR and our first question is pretty straightforward. Would you rather the Ravens go with Bell/Cannon and be done OR no, Murray is available and too good of a fit, figure out a way to clear space for him? Near the bottom of Hour 1, Blue Jays shortstop Kevin Smith (Maryland) joined us to discuss the start of his MLB career, future battles in the AL East with Orioles pitching prospect Kevin Smith (and angled for a part in Kevin Smith's Clerks III). Late in Hour 1, former Ravens Super Bowl champion WR/WJZ analyst Qadry Ismail joined us to discuss what the Ravens should do at running back and what he needs to see in Week 1 to feel confidence about their chances against the Chiefs in Week 2. Early in Hour 2, Maryland tight end Chig Okonkwo joined us to discuss working his way back from COVID & myocarditis (which forced him to miss last season) making him wonder if his career was over to scoring a touchdown in the win over West Virginia Saturday. And we wrapped with our weekly chat with Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) covering the USMNT's World Cup Qualifying struggles, the Ryder Cup picks and #WouldYouRatherWednesday.
A lot going on. The Ravens NEED a running back, they're keeping Mark Andrews around, Maryland got a good win, Kyle Farnsworth is a creep. Do you know which team NFL players are playing for now? We took a look at the start of the show. At the bottom of Hour 1, Soren Petro from 810 WHB in Kansas City checked in to discuss the Ravens working out free agent Le'Veon Bell. Is there anything at all left in the tank? Why didn't it work with the Chiefs? Early in Hour 2, ESPN's Anish Shroff checked in to discuss Maryland's big win (he was on the call), reasonable expectations moving forward, lots of lacrosse and yes, the Bishop Sycamore thing. And at the bottom of Hour 2, we remembered a brilliant artist-Michael K. Williams (Omar from "The Wire") with his former co-star Isiah Whitlock.
Happy Friday! The Ravens wanted Royce Freeman and didn't get him. So what does that mean now? Well, we're not exactly sure. We discussed it with PressBox Ravens beat writer Bo Smolka at the bottom of Hour 1, plus when we might see Nick Boyle back on the field, who the left tackle will be and more. Late in Hour 1, Kyle in the Kitchen brought us a delightful summer salad. Early in Hour 2, our weekly trip to the Bowie Baysox as we caught up with Orioles OF prospect Johnny Rizer to discuss his recent torrid pace, his ridiculous catch that didn't count in foul territory a couple weeks ago and having a fellow Cypress, Texas native join the system in Colton Cowser. Lil'Jordan Schwartzburg-our Friday intern-brought back "Young Utes" and we wrapped Hour 2 by previewing Towson football with head coach Rob Ambrose.
Are we really freaking out this much about Ben Mason? Really? Is it probably a wasted pick? Yeah, probably. But that happens. Why are we losing our minds about a fifth round pick OR being so defensive of it? Near the bottom of Hour 1, we caught up with Navy football coach Ken Niumatalolo to preview Saturday's opener against Marshall and to break down the quarterback decision to still be made between Xavier Arline and Tai Lavatai. At the top of Hour 2, we caught up with Terps legend Shawne Merriman to discuss the excitement for this year's Maryland team, whether he'd take a fight with the Paul brothers and the idea that the NFL could "figure out" Lamar Jackson. Dobbins out, how Mac Jones starting impacts the Patriots and more.
