POPULARITY
Recorded in October 2020, multi-passionate Goddess of Hilarity Liz Jenkins is the source of wisdom and clarity we all need right now. Maybe you know her as the delightful Principal Biggs from ABC's Blackish, or maybe you binged Werk the Series (which she co-wrote and produced with the incredible Molly Fite - another future dream guest - and which is available on YouTube) but we promise you wanna get on board before her star completes it's rise. In this episode we discuss advocating for yourself, how white actors need to get comfortable playing racists, the importance of knowing what you can handle, and the delight of discovering boundaries late in life only to realize that they are your Love Language. We love Liz's refreshing candor, and hope you will join us in following her on twitter, checking out her many episodic television appearances, and expanding your own perspective to be more inclusive. Part 1 in a new series on the Los Angeles puppet community, meet Molly Fite and Jared Ramirez! Two friends and collaborators who met while receiving their puppet training at Jim Henson Studios and soon after created the monthly show, When Puppets Are Your Only Friends. They are both also employed as puppeteers at the legendary Bob Baker Marionette Theater. We discuss the details of their training, the magic of entertaining kids, and all the reasons why hating clowns is lame. SKEETER, WHERE THE FRICK ARE YOU!?!?! Matt and Eileen still aren't sure, so they brought in actress/writer Molly Fite to help crack the case. The three of them watched season 3, episode 5 of Muppet Babies ("The Muppet Broadcasting Company") and discussed spider poop, how Molly models her life after Ms. Piggy, and all types of accents. But do they find Skeeter!? You better listen and find out! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
You might think you know everything about the theory that Beyonce used a surrogate to give birth to little Blue. Honey? YOU KNOW NOTHING. Our wonderful guests for this episode - Molly Fite and Liz Jenkins - argue that there is a huge web of conspiracies and lies surrounding the precious little toddler. A web that includes egg donation, big ass fans, the comedy stylings of Wendy Williams, misogyny, celebrity culture, wigs on wigs on wigs, and one of the funniest comedy duos in the business. Molly and Liz are a dream, Blue Ivy is a cute baby, and at the end of the day you can always just throw up your hands and say WHO CARES. This episode is brought to you by Mack Weldon! Sex. Drugs. Rock n' Roll. Mental Illness. Plaid. The Pacific Northwest. Misogyny. Vocal Fry. There is A LOT going on in this episode! Actor and comedian and puppeteer Molly Fite rolled through the Lizard's Den to talk about the rumor that Courtney Love had Kurt Cobain whacked. Molly is a child of the grunge era, and this one gets right at the heart of fandom and the nature of mental illness. It's not exactly light-hearted but hey, neither were Nirvana and Hole. Everybody's got an opinion about this crazy relationship, and we're not exceptions.
