In this passage, Paul makes one of the harshest statements in any of his letters. It shows the ferocity with which he would go to defend the gospel of grace delivered to him to proclaim to the world. He also defends himself by declaring he isn't a people-pleaser. It challenges us to check our motivations and devotion to the truth he taught.
Rich Titus explores Paul's teaching that the Law cannot save us from our own sin; that only the Gospel can bring us true comfort and transformation.

The gospel of grace seems too good to be true, but it is the best news ever. We can't add to or subtract from it - God's grace, plus our faith, equals salvation.

There are false teachers teaching a false gospel. Will you take a stand against the false gospel?
In the book of Galatians, there are three primary actors. We have already been introduced to Paul, the apostle commissioned by God, who preaches God’s gospel to the nations. Today, we are introduced to the Galatians. The Galatians are shown to be models of how not to proceed in the faith. Paul, skipping his normal thanksgiving, dives directly into the problems confronting the churches. If we are to avoid the problems faced by the Galatians, let us: be planted, be growing and be thick-barked.
This morning we are continuing in our study through Galatians and looking now and Paul's perspective on whom he should be concerned about. For most Christians today, the fear of other people and what they might think of us, or worse yet, do to us, is a driving force behind things we do or do not do. Paul shows us the importance of remembering who we truly answer to and who we should be considering when we think about doing certain things. Be blessed this morning as you listen and study with us.
Today, we are continuing through Galatians, and we are going to study, how Paul focuses on the message of the false teachers. False teaching has been around in the life of the church for sometime, and still continues to be an issue in the church. Paul gives us great insight into how we can discern truth from false in a modern age. God bless and enjoy!
This morning we are continuing in our study through Galatians and as we continue we look now at the way that Christians were following the teaching of the Judaizers, and how easy it is for believers today to be taken away by false teaching. We are reminded this morning of the calling for believers to contend for the one true Gospel in the midst of a world that is constantly throwing false Gospels at us.

The Apostle Paul was astounded and dismayed as he wrote to the churches of Galatia. He offered them a warning and a declaration before declaring to them his ambition and his dedication. Contend for the gospel was his message.
