I really connected with Sharon Spell. Sharon is a comedian and podcast host of https://www.facebook.com/TheSharonSpellShow I had that rare feeling of a new best friend - brought down by the reality that we're all too busy to hang out anymore. Sharon spoke honestly and directly about drinking, divorce and how great things are now after all she's been through. Her guy she's with now is a keeper! #comedy #divorce #drinking #therapy http://sharonspell.com/

This episode of Awkward Sex And The City, Sharon Spell is the hilarious guest! Natalie Wall and Sharon talk about bad bad bad relationships in the past that included mixed signals, fuck boi nonsense, neck kissing, and singing conventions! Follow Awkward Sex at @awkwardsexandthecity
In this episode, I talk to comedian and storyteller Sharon Spell! Sharon's parents died just 18 days apart in 2011. As a comedian Sharon almost immediately began talking about her loss onstage, and has since gone on to share stories on the RISK podcast, on her own show Gens Stories, and is a Moth StorySLAM winner. We talk about the importance of community, and of the difficulty in doing jokes about hard topics. Follow Sharon at SharonSpell.com!
Jonathan Bradley Welch, Mav Viola and Sharon Spell share stories about politicians in the closet, a gender journey and a battle with booze.
This is Love Hurts. Sharon Spell is a storyteller, comedian, and podcaster living in Astoria Queens. Sharon talks to me about a relationship she got into not long after moving in New York City. It...
We are very happy to open this edition with a good deal of clean humor...even if Daniel is multi-tasking and a little distracted. First up in the story department are Sharon Spell and Jed Resnik, speaking of some interesting times with their respective therapists. Then Mr. Felcham would like to address the unfortunate incidents of last Thursday. And then Mike Albo screams in to tell of that run of three years when he had multiple injuries and incidents DOWN THERE.
Episode 3 12/02/17, Stories from Sharon Spell, Dave T Koenig, & Kathryn Anne Dunn Hosted by Satan/Karen Sharon Spell shows us the magic of letting go when she walks away from her college home. Dave T. Koenig's life in radio included Walkie Bear and too much "Kiss from a Rose." Kathryn Anne Dunn fell in love with a secret kitten named "My Lilly". Satan is probably insane.
Maybe it's the champagne, but we're a little clippy this time around. Note though, that there's an Improv Hell sketch throughout. Apart from this, we relive semi-compliments with Pushy Muldowney. And remember a celebrity run-in with Ashlee Voorsanger. And listen to Jed Resnik and Sharon Spell play "Not It". And literally hang on Katie Aldhizer's description of a stank co-worker. And AND agree with Rachel Scherer that Jason's Audrey Hepburn impression is "on purnt".
We're full of mystery pains with this gathering around the podcastical water fountain. We'll let Sharon Spell and Jed Resnik explain. Then we're interrupted by the arrival of The Underminer (aka Mike Albo) who's just about to return to...Berlin! Steve Federbusch then brings us on a trip in the Story-DeLorean to see Tim Robbins. And Ashlee Voorsanger lets us inside (finally) one of her childhood fears.
Suddenly, you're in the middle of a thrilling talent show, with acts like none you've ever seen. Then, you're quickly empathizing with Desi del Valle's fear of the color red. Did you take the ecstasy? No? Well, Sharon Spell did. And then she found the linen closet. Maybe it's the X that's making you feel like protesting, but have you filed your necessary paperwork? But wait a minute! Shhh! I don't think this is shampoo. H. Alan Scott knows it isn't. This episode is a dreamscape, and you are the memories.
There is no good way to say goodbye to the stupid human suits who tailored you into this world. Or is there? This week comedian and storyteller Sharon Spell stops by for a totally casual, not at all omg-inducing retelling of how she was "really lucky to be there" when both her parents died within weeks of each other. HER WORDS, NOT OURS! Look, it makes sense when she explains it. If you have parents, you'll really appreciate this episode. And if you're an asexually produced human-coral hybrid made from a clonal polyp that budded off from a parent polyp....uh, we'd love to have you on too if only so we can call the episode "Reef Madness." SHS is famous for having all the LULZ.
Join us for our last New York episode as we talk to comedian Sharon Spell of The Sharon Spell Show about her favorite TV show, The Golden Girls. From Midwestern housewives to New Jersey drag queens, all of America loves Blanche, Rose, Sophia and Dorothy. And how could you not?! Great writing, great timing, cheesecake, and incredible shoulder pads! Thank you for being a friend and listening.
We chatted with Sharon Spell, a fellow GG super-fan! We talked about how dumb the UFO plot was, how Ham Lushbaugh was foreshadowing for Rush Limbaugh, and a moment when H. Alan encountered his own Ham Lushbaugh. for more GG fun, visit OutOnTheLanai.com!
I'm gonna be checking my voicemail throughout this episode, but don't let that distract you. Let's see...this time...we've got Grady Dennis and his Naughty List! He also once ran into Christina Ricci at work, you know. Mehran Khaghani will also regale with a tale of getting his family checked in at the airport. Jodi Coyote has some stank job experiences to relate. But really, this episode is all about Sharon Spell and how she lays us all out with the double-barrel tale of her Elvis Moment, followed by her daddy's healing powers. NEXT MESSAGE!
Great Googa-Mooga! It's already time for our next chance to chat in your ear for a bit. This time guest star Sharon Spell starts us out with her thoughts on Winter and odors. Then Sally Kellerman joins us via The Answering Machine Files. Guest star Calvin Cato is next with a tale of a festive, albeit inappropriate, outfit. From there, it's a short drive to see some friends who REALLY like pumpkin. And Grady wraps it up with a portrait of him on Spring Break (kind of).
Christian returns from performing in the Off Broadway run of the hit play Great Lakes! Shonali and Christian survived Hurricane Sanday, Blizzard Juno but not the 2015 Oscars. They go on and on and on about it. WDEK is 30 episodes into its existence and but the temp is way below 30 degrees in NYC! Christian relates the temperature to crazy behavior on the subway. Special guest comedian Danny Cohen is a stencilist and recently discovered marijuana. He rides the Q train and has a torn meniscus. He feels like he is a failed comic but Shonali knows otherwise. He owns his own home! Our next guest is comedian and artist Sharon Spell who has been sober as of a year ago and is feeling good about it. We are too. She is from Hattiesburg, Mississippi has nice snow boots and also has a torn meniscus like Danny. She is more southern than Shonali and calls her father, "Daddy." Our musical guest is Early Riser (Heidi Vanderlee and Kiri Oliver) who so graciously played an extra song for us which was the debut of a new song, they have never played live before in front of an audience. The song is called OH NEVER MIND! And we were all like, YEAH WE DONT MIND! You ladies are fantastic. ENJOY!
DUCK! It's the opening to this, the latest episode of our quarter-hours spent comingling. This is a very special episode. As it's the holidays, our entire fifteen minutes is taken up by stories of this time of year. Guest star Sharon Spell kicks it off with a tale of taco soup. Then OTHER guest star Pushy Muldowney counters with a weird gift once received. Daniel saunters in next with a bon-mot about a dish that his mother prepares every Christmas. Jason regales the group by recounting a gift-giving mishap. Sharon and Jason then compare worst New Year's Eve stories, before Jason barges in again with something that he MUST tell us all. Happy Merry, everybody!
How do? We've now got enough episodes to fill an egg carton, and you're the one to thank for that. For this, our dozenth episode, we get a trilogy of stories from Daren Fleming about stank people. Our new sponsor, Dirkel Insurance, makes us all sit through and ad. We have an interview with actor/heartthrob/entrepreneuer DG Williams. AND...Sharon Spell weaves tales of TVs and tablets and abacuses. Abaci? More than one abacus. There.
Let me just wind up the episode for you...get 'er going. There. So, for this here Seventh Sealpisode, Jason tells the story of a girl on the train with a peculiar ribbon. Then it's the triumphant return of The Toilet Zone with the episode "Mad Fortunes". Guest star Sharon Spell then tells of the perils of smoking. And finally, after a break for today's headlines, Grady remembers getting his photo taken with Cinderella.
