Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji, celebrated for her recent roles in films like No One Killed Jessica and Mardaani, is in advanced talks to lead Shonali Bose's upcoming family drama. According to sources, Mukerji has been reviewing scripts for two years and feels a strong connection with Bose's project, which is set to begin filming in September 2024. Junglee Pictures, known for hits like Talvar and Raazi, will produce the film, aiming for a 2025 release. Following this, Mukerji is expected to work on Mardaani 3, the next instalment in her successful franchise with Yash Raj Films.

Shonali Bhowmik is a musician, actress, comedienne, filmmaker, writer with a law degree! Her bio is extensive, but here's a taste of what she's involved with mostly right now—she co-hosts her own live variety show podcast series called We Don't Even Know AND she is the leader of the indie rock band Tigers and Monkeys for which she is the songwriter, singer, and guitar player. I learned so much from this session with Shonali. She creates purely from the need to create and grow. I kicked the emotional tires and she honestly just seems like a naturally happy, yet driven creative person, self-motivated—with a key ingredient—HARD WORK! Oh and a great family, which she appreciates. Further Bio: She is a member of the popular comedy collective Variety Shac, with Chelsea Peretti, Heather Lawless and Andrea Rosen. Shonali was the host of the Shac's popular Upright Citizen's Brigade live show. She has also created television pilots for the Adult Swim and IFC networks. She wrote and directed the short film, Sardines Out Of A Can which was screened in 6 cities across the globe including Madrid, Spain; Bangalore, India and won best romantic comedy short at the Bare Bones International Film Fest 2014. She has her own independent music and comedy record label called Little Lamb Recordings.  She was one of the leaders of Ultrababyfat who was featured in David Cross' tour DVD Let America Laugh. While Justin is having a baby, Jason Lam takes over introduction honors.   Within a month, tides have turned and Covid-19 (Delta variant) is back.   The "normalcy" we discussed last month is no more.  Shonali attended her first super spreader event and Christian has a new nickname "Big Man!"  Everyone PLEASUHHHHH get vaccinated!  We are excited to talk to Helen Nwosu!  We met Helen at a mutual friend's dance birthday party just after we were fully vaccinated and thought we could be "normally" social again.  We were taken by her energy, humor and intellect.   Helen left a long standing career in fashion to start her own non-profit called Science Couture and it's "chief mission is to help consumers and fashion brands contribute to a more sustainable fashion system."  We also discuss upstate living;  youth activism; The Olympics - sexist double standard fashion, the athlete's' stories which pull at your heartstrings, the metal scoreboard & nationalism. Most importantly Helen gives us a rundown what we can do as consumers to align with sustainability in fashion! Christian promises to break fashion rules & wear a white bikini after Labor Day.  You heard it here first. In this podcast, Shonali Pachauri, Acting Program Director of the Transitions to New Technologies at IIASA in Austria discusses a new framework to measure energy poverty developed by her and her colleagues at IIASA that better aligns with services that people lack rather than merely capturing the absence of connections to sources of electricity. This framework distinguishes between two aspects of energy poverty - the conditions of supply, and the conditions and circumstances of households. The objective in developing this framework was to find an alternative to the too simplistic SDG indicators that underestimate energy poverty and the more complex multidimensional framework of the World Bank, which while a real step forward, is difficult to scale up to the global level.

A true pioneer - Shonali Burke, President and CEO of Shonali Burke Consulting, joined us for a discussion on how she became an entrepreneur accidentally and built a business by having a strong network and reputation. Shonali was at the forefront of the social media wave and grew her business by continuing to ride the wave and integrate innovative services and solutions in her client offerings. Her first band Ultrababyfat toured with David Cross on the "Let America Laugh" tour, and is a member of the comedy group Variety SHAC with Andrea Rosen, Chelsea Peretti and Heather Lawless. Shonali's also the leader of the indie rock band Tigers and Monkeys and she has her own solo album out entitles 100 Oaks Revival.
