Isabel loves to break the fourth wall, chat with us, and explain her job, and honestly? I love it. While inspecting one kid, she bumps into a hunk named Jason. I'm sure that means nothing, right?Back at the office, her boss Rudolph worries she's spending too much time on the road. But it's time for her next assignment: making a final ruling on a girl named Charlie. Isabel follows her home, where Charlie's dad assumes she's from the power company coming to help him with his Christmas lights. And the dad in question? Jason. He wastes NO time asking her on a date.They go out, but it's cut short when Charlie's sitter calls to say she's “sick.” Isabel knows immediately she's faking. She ends up quitting because she doesn't believe in the system anymore. Naughty and Nice isn't as black and white as HQ wants it to be.Meanwhile, Jason and Charlie talk. Charlie tells him about what Isabel said — including how last year she noticed Santa's handwriting looked… different. Suspicious.Charlie requests that Isabel attend the grand opening of Jason's new pizza place so they can talk things out. Isabel shows up, tells Jason she quit, and together they decide to take their concerns directly to Santa. She makes her case to get rid of the Naughty List… and surprisingly, Santa agrees. On today's episode, we speak to writer Brandon Osterman, whose short script ‘The Naughty List' won last year's Final Draft Big Break Short Screenplay Category. As part of his prize package, he received a consultation with Sav Rodgers, Marketing Manager for Seed&Spark, the film industry's most popular crowdfunding platform. Sav joins the conversation to tell us exactly what crowdfunding is and help all writers understand that funding for their project is possible to achieve. “Who is your audience? At Seed&Spark, we always say that great crowdfunding is audience building first and fundraising second. While there is definitely a fundraising need, finding your audience is invaluable… Something that I always tell prospective crowdfunders is you already have the tools you need to do this. You know how to tell a story. You're here because you're a storyteller. You know how to invite people in. You already know how to talk about yourself persuasively,” says Sav Rodgers. Osterman also shares his journey creating his award-winning short script and gives advice to writers who are thinking of creating their own short film project. “I don't think there's been a better time to be making short format content than right now. The demand for it seems to be expanding every time I turn around. I think if that's something that you're interested in, go after it. You know, I think there are more opportunities to distribute that form of content than there have ever been. I think we've got a generation now that's grown up with TikTok and social media and much shorter, digestible content that, whether it's conditioning or just sort of lowering of attention spans, I think more people are more tuned into short form content than they have ever been before. He tells all of his cousins that Santa doesn't exist and even shows them where their parents are hiding the gifts—very naughty.Fast forward 30 years, and Jack is now an adult—still very naughty. He's stealing important information and selling it to people on the dark web.Cut to Santa, who is doing some mall duty. He does this occasionally to remind himself why he does what he does. By his side is Callum Drift, the head of Santa's security.When they return to the North Pole, Cal tells Santa that he's retiring. There's just too much naughty out there. But there's no time to mourn because Santa gets kidnapped! They suspect it has something to do with the information Jack stole. So they track him down for questioning, and Jack is completely shocked to find out that Santa is real—along with some other mythical creatures.They hire Jack to help find Santa because Jack is really good at tracking things down. Cal is annoyed that he has to team up with Jack. They track down Ted, the broker who bought the stolen information. Ted reveals that the kidnapper is the winter witch, Grýla. Suddenly, Grýla takes over Ted's body, warns them, and then sends snowmen to kill them. They manage to fight them off, but not before Ted gets frozen.They suspect that Grýla may be working with Santa's estranged brother, Krampus, who originally created the Naughty List. Cal and Jack break into Krampus' lair but are captured and forced to slap-fight Krampus. They discover that Grýla came to Krampus to retrieve a magical snow globe that can imprison people.Grýla's plan is to duplicate the magical snow globe and imprison anyone who has ever been on the Naughty List. She decides to test the snow globes on Jack and his son, Dylan, with whom he has a strained relationship.Cal realizes that the only place capable of duplicating such magic is the North Pole. That means they never actually left the North Pole, and Santa is trapped in a vault that is draining his power.Inside their snow globes, Jack and Dylan have a heartfelt conversation, which makes them “nice” and causes the globes to shatter.Grýla is about to take off with an unconscious Santa, planning to use his sleigh to deliver the cursed snow globes—but not if Cal and Jack have anything to say about it! They fight, causing the sleigh to crash-land. This enrages Grýla, who drops her human disguise and goes full giant-witch mode on them.Luckily, Krampus shows up to save his brother. But Grýla is too powerful. Santa finally wakes up, and with the help of his reindeer, they manage to capture her and imprison her in a snow globe.Now, the rush is on to deliver all the presents in time. Santa invites Jack and Dylan to join him. As Cal watches them, amazed, he realizes maybe it's all worth it after all. He tells Santa he's not going to retire.

So Nikki took Matteo for his annual sit-down visit with Santa and ran into Bryan, Buddy, and Birdie there. All three of the kids had far different experiences. Matteo knew precisely what he wanted to ask for, and it caught Santa off guard. Birdie was hanging back to work on some arts & crafts and giving Santa some space, and Buddy was full of energy and Christmas cheer! There might be a fashion controversy brewing in the world of Nikki & Brie. Birdie fell in love with a purse, Brie thinks it's not a good fit, Nikki's a fan and came up with some crafty solutions, but will Brie approve? If Nikki goes rogue, she could end up on Brie's Naughty List this year. Again. Buddy is also working through some big feelings when it comes to having Elf in the Shelf in the house and it might be safe in the Danielson house for Chocolate Sprinkle the Elf much longer. Brie also gives an update on Birdie's school year and the easiest way to sum things up is “How to Get the Ick in 10 Days.” Birdie saw something that her grade school crush did, and it totally changed things in the classroom and out of it.
