She is interested in understanding the psychosocial and institutional determinants of chronic health conditions (e.g., diagnosis experiences, misdiagnoses/errors, illness disclosures, social support, and illness stigma) within women's health. Her focus is on PCOS, the most common, yet misdiagnosed endocrine syndrome in individuals assigned female at birth, but she is also interested in IBD, HS, POTS, and endometriosis, and their impact on quality of life. She focuses on aspects of strength, resilience, and healing, and building community in her work, with her most recent set of studies exploring "thriving with PCOS across the lifespan". Her second area of interest lies in understanding how youth contribute to their communities during the transition to adulthood--with foci on youth generativity, prosocial engagement, and environmental justice. Mots-Clés : crise financière, dette publique, faillite, Grèce, Britanniques, marchands, rêves, populistes, droite radicale, Union européenne, destin, riche, Brexit, croissance, zone euro, ménages, inflation, continent, taux d'intérêt, pénuries, main-d'œuvre, secteurs, santé, agriculture, restaurants, transports, services, départ, Européens, pays, Europe de l'Est, histoire, immigrés, boulangerie, pain, boulanger, bouclier, citoyens, nouvelle, négative. --- La chronique économique d'Amid Faljaoui, tous les jours à 8h30 et à 17h30. If you've attended any of my presentations, taken my CKS Coaching Course or followed me for a while you will know one of my sayings is “I'm not a doctor, a lawyer or a social worker,” but my guest today is a social worker and she just happens to be my wife and business partner – Tara Soucie-Noble.  Tara does much of the behind-the-scenes work - with our daughter and our business - but she had a long career working with individuals with FASD, was a foster parent with me, and has worked with a variety of populations who have intensive housing support needs.  In this episode you will hear her perspective on our marriage, time as foster parents and on how incredibly lucky we are to share what we know with other caregivers. She is also going to share her insight how caregivers can support each other, how to survive in the moment and what individuals with FASD need for successful interdependent living. I want to acknowledge that Tara is a big part of our community. Without her, there would be no business and no Show. In fact, she will be taking on a bigger role come September and I can't wait for more awesomeness she will bring to help caregivers.  I hope you enjoy getting to know her a bit more and enjoy our banter back and forth! Show Notes: Check out our blog for all the links at FASD Success Smells Like HumansLike spending time with funny friends talking about curious human behavior. For this episode of Sales Beast we are joined by tiktok queen, and social media extraordinaire Steevie Soucie! She is a licensed Realtor and alternate team leader at Keller Williams Realty Centres. She has experience as a solo agent, a team member and a productivity coach. Steevie thrives in a team environment, and excels at using social media as a tool to generate leads and convert leads. With over 80% of her business coming from social media, and a combined 100,000 followers across all platforms, Steevie is sure to have some valuable insight on how to expand your social media presence. Like many of us during our school days, we would often consider what career path we wanted to head down, what career would lead us to success? Steevie Soucie always had many interests, but not necessarily one thing that she was very passionate about. The prospect of going to post secondary school did not excite Steevie; however, she did see a lot of potential in a real estate career. Steevie ended up pursuing her real estate license, and had the opportunity to work as an assistant to a top producing agent at the time which helped her get a glimpse into what their industry was actually like. Here are some notes from our conversation with Steevie. Don't forget to listen to the episode for more! From Solo Agent to a realtor moving into leadership.Prioritize building a business and a brand when you start your career.A team is going to help get the business, as well as provide invaluable learning opportunities.Keller Williams allowed Steevie to learn about, not only becoming a realtor but also about becoming a business owner.Keller Williams helps agents see the bigger picture, and creates opportunity within the real estate industry.  Branding can also be viewed as the trust and respect you build when you work with people. It is important to build your attitude and interactions around your brand. People will remember how you show up, how you treat your clients, and how you treat your coworkers. May not have the perfect brand right from the start. For new agents it is important to build trust with people, gain experience and knowledge of the industry. At appointments, focus on the people sitting across from you. Make the conversation about them, make them feel heard because that will be the value that YOU provide.

Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 121, from January 2013. Airplane safety has improved significantly, but there are improvements that can still be made to remove the fear that many people feel when boarding a plane. Author Dave Soucie joins Jason Hartman on this episode to talk about advances in safety and what still needs to be done. The biggest concern today is complacency, while the biggest improvement has been the implementation of Aviation Safety Information Analysis & Sharing (ASIAS), which allows for the exchange of information on precursors that may cause accidents down the road. David's take on this is that there is a lot of room for improvement yet. He states that even the passengers are part of the safety system, stressing they need to be aware and if they see something concerning, be bold and speak up. David describes the FAA's responsibilities and the standard regulations around the world. He also talks about the importance of the TSA, not disregarding blatant overstepping by some TSA agents, but the necessity of keeping airspace safe. There have been many horrific airline crashes and David tells the stories behind those crashes. The way accidents are most often looked at is pilot error. But David asks the question, what caused the problem in the first place that resulted in a pilot needing to troubleshoot? The initial cause can be critical, such as faulty equipment that the airline companies know need to be replaced, but choose not to do immediately.  David and Jason close with general aviation tips and advice. Airplane crashes may be rare, but they do happen, and they're usually fatal.  David Soucie insists that most of these deaths could be prevented. Soucie's worked in the cockpit, on the hanger floor, within the aviation boardroom, and inside the Washington D.C. beltway.  He's seen death up close and personal - deaths of colleagues and friends that might have been prevented if he had approved certain safety measures in the aircraft they were handling.  This memoir is a gripping description of what Soucie saw and experienced as he worked in the aviation industry.  He's now focused on understanding the hazards and risks of air travel.  As such, he is a regular consultant on the topic, from advising the Obama administration on airline safety management systems to taking a leading role as industry representative in the congressionally funded NextGen interdepartmental initiative to examine the challenges of aviation in the near future, not only for the Department of Transportation, but also for the departments of defense and Homeland Security, NASA, and the Office of National Intelligence. Since leaving the FAA in 2006, Soucie has analyzed nearly every major air disaster.  From January 2007 to June 2010, there were 240 commercial airplane accidents, 28 crashes on scheduled airlines that resulted in 1,795 deaths.
