I contacted Amelia to be on the podcast after I read a post of hers that stated, 'weed makes me a better mom'. I knew I needed to get her in to unpack this and explore something that struck a deep chord in me without knowing why. What followed was one of my all-time fave interviews as Amelia shared so deeply about her life, on the precipice of packing up her family and moving from California to Portugal. She decided to embrace messy, imperfect, unapologetic feeling, and has since built and scaled a multi-six figure business, certified over 1000 yoga teachers in stand up paddle board yoga and coached hundreds of women to personal and professional success through her company, Stoked Yogi. Rise to Thrive Podcast with Linda Tate & Amelia Travis Episode 1: Starting Before You’re Ready “Start before you’re ready. Don’t prepare, begin. Remember, our enemy is not lack of preparation… the enemy is resistance, our chattering brain, which if we give it even a nanosecond… will give us a million reasons why we can’t or won’t do what we need to do.” ~ Steven Pressfield, Do The Work. Are you putting off dreams because you don’t feel “ready?” You think another certification, training, online course, practice relationship, or test run will get you prepared to blast off into the success you seek in life or business? Think again, friend. The magic of flying is in jumping, and finding your wings on the way down (ahem, if you’re a bird. If you’re human, please don’t do that.) In Episode 1, hostesses with the most Linda Tate of Lila Life and Amelia Travis of Stoked Yogi delve into what stops us from taking action (fear and doubt), how to know when it really is time to start (somatic listening), myth shattering the roadblock of imposter syndrome, and practices you can start NOW to motivate you to take the leap towards your goals.
