The guys kick things off with a look at the bad blood between Go Shiozaki and Pro Wrestling NOAH over the ZERO1 Title – a messy situation that All Japan Pro Wrestling could benefit from a lot. From there, it's over to All Japan, where STRIGGA brings up the point of production values in contrast to NOAH or NJPW. They'll also talk about HAVOC being over with the crowd and how Shiozaki fits into the group and the promotion. From there, they take it to NOAH's Wrestle Odyssey from Sumo Hall that featured some strong junior matches but plenty of disjointed storytelling. Another question raised and tackled is where New Japan goes next with Konosuke Takeshita as new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Is Okada going to be his Wrestle Kingdom opponent? Is It Tsuji? This could also interfere with possible Tanahashi retirement opponents. Other topics on NJPW include the hit Tag Team Title match, thoughts on the IWGP Women's Championship, a ridiculous Super Jr. Tag League lineup. The final topic includes early speculations about DRAGONGATE's King of Gate winner. Ten years in, the Eastern Lariat remains your go-to source for all things puroresu – insightful, opinionated, and always unscripted!
Welcome back to Open The Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.Case and Mike return to discuss the Dragongate participation in New Japan's Super Jr Tag League tournament, the surprises, and a very surface preview of what they expect about YAMATO, Dragon Dia and Yuki Yoshioka's participation in the tournament. From there, they discuss a double header in Fukuoka (10/12) including more greatness from The Panther Brothers, the El Cielo mystery and the build to November's King of Gate tournament! Our podcast provider, Red Circle, offers the listeners the option to sponsor the show. For the 3rd consecutive year Robbie Eagles Work Stiff. Starting off, the lads chat with Bob about his hectic 2024 schedule, get his thoughts on the growth of TMDK, including who else could be wearing orange sooner rather than later, his experience of being alongside ZSJ for the G1 final, his trust in Zack as IWGP champ and a range of stories from the TMDK bus. Then the Bois get down to business, going full Stiff mode to breakdown every team competing in the tournament; with Robbie's technical eye guiding us. Bob explains the strengths and weaknesses of each team, as we detail who New Japan fans should be paying attention to leading up to the final. Plus, we clear out space to shout the VeloCities names as loud as possible for all the Stiffies to hear. Robbie was incredibly gracious with his time, joining us from Japan, to talk for over 2 and a half hours of Stiff coded njpw chat.
