Y el pensamiento del que quiero hablar hoy es este: "Entre mi edad y mis hormonas... a mí hasta el aire me engorda." Y quiero proponerte algo. ¿Qué tal si dejamos de hablarle así a nuestro cuerpo? Porque cada vez que repetimos este pensamiento, nos colocamos automáticamente en desventaja. Nos convencemos de que todo está en nuestra contra. Y cuando sentimos que todo está en nuestra contra... vivimos en modo lucha. Lucha con el cuerpo. Lucha con la comida. Lucha con la edad. Lucha con las hormonas. Y honestamente... ¿cuántos años llevas peleando? Porque algo que comprobamos una y otra vez dentro de Mi Mejor Versión es que el cuerpo responde muy diferente cuando dejamos de atacarlo y empezamos a acompañarlo. No estoy diciendo que la edad no importe. No estoy diciendo que las hormonas no influyan. Claro que influyen. Lo que estoy diciendo es que vivir repitiéndonos que todo está en nuestra contra no nos ayuda. No nos da más energía. No nos da más claridad. No nos da mejores resultados. Por eso hoy quiero invitarte a probar este pensamiento: "Mi cuerpo responde cuando estoy en paz y lo cuido." Respira. "Mi cuerpo responde cuando estoy en paz y lo cuido." Quizá se siente raro. Está bien. Los pensamientos nuevos suelen sentirse raros. Pero también son los que crean resultados nuevos. Vuelve el Carne Cruda Tour con un especial por los derechos sociales, un programa reivindicativo para abrir un espacio de debate público desde una mirada crítica y feminista sobre las políticas sociales y los enfoques que siguen dominando gran parte de las prácticas y discursos institucionales. Un programa desde el Teatro Isidro Olgoso del Zaidín en Granada con el Colegio Oficial de Trabajo Social de Granada. Junto a trabajadoras sociales, expertas y usuarias de servicios sociales analizamos la crisis del sistema público de servicios sociales en nuestro país, especialmente en Andalucía: saturación, listas de espera, burocratización de la atención, externalización, y una creciente sensación de desprotección por parte de quienes acuden a estos servicios. Un programa en el que huimos de los enfoques asistencialistas y despolitizados, y en el que también abordamos la violencia institucional que sufren tanto las personas usuarias como las propias profesionales. Nos acompañan: Pilar Rivas Navarro, trabajadora en un centro social comunitario y defensora de los derechos humanos; María Campos García de Quevedo, presidenta del Colegio de Trabajo Social de Granada; Ildefonso Godoy Lorite, trabajador social en Atención Primaria Salud; Linda Vani Ducca Cisneros, profesora de la Universidad Complutense experta en Trabajo Social crítico; Esther Cuevas, de la asamblea de trabajadoras del Ayuntamiento de Granada; y dos personas que conocen el sistema de servicios sociales desde dentro: Manuel Carlos Salcedo y Maria Belén Villalobos. En este mensaje tratamos el caso de un joven que «descargó su conciencia» de manera anónima en nuestro sitio www.conciencia.net y nos autorizó a que lo citáramos, como sigue: «[No hace mucho] caí en ansiedad y depresión.... Me esforzaba por enfocar mi mente en mis deberes, pero no podía hacerlo.... En medio de la ansiedad y depresión, aun mis oraciones se volvieron carentes de fe.... »Hace sólo dos meses, ya sin depresión y ansiedad, me examiné a la luz de la Palabra de Dios porque mi vida no reflejaba fervientemente a Cristo.... En esos momentos venían a mi mente preguntas como: “¿Habrá Dios, o todo es patraña?” ... »Temo realmente no ser salvo de mi pecado. Mi arrepentimiento y fe aún hoy son superficiales.... Sé que es pecado [tener esas dudas]. Intento creer... en medio de la lucha con la incredulidad. Me encuentro frustrado, desesperado y confundido.» Este es el consejo que le dio mi esposa: «Estimado amigo: »... La ansiedad y la depresión son emociones humanas naturales producidas por dificultades y pérdidas que experimentamos. Dios no ha prometido mantenernos libres de esa clase de problemas, pero sí ha prometido estar con nosotros durante el tiempo en que lidiamos con ellos. »Sin embargo, a veces la falta de equilibrio en las sustancias químicas en nuestro cerebro puede hacer que la ansiedad y la depresión queden atrapadas allí de modo que nos parece que no podemos mejorarnos. Cuando eso sucede, esas emociones poderosas pueden afectar todos nuestros pensamientos. Es posible que nos lleve a dudar de que los demás se interesen en nosotros, a dudar de que valgamos algo, o dudar de que Dios aún esté con nosotros. »Tú dices que es pecado tener esas dudas, pero nosotros no estamos de acuerdo. El dudar es humano, y es de esperarse que las dudas vengan con la ansiedad y la depresión. Algunos de los personajes más conocidos de la Biblia pasaron temporadas de luchas con las dudas. El rey David, Moisés, Elías y Tomás son algunos ejemplos. Al leer las historias de esos hombres, nos damos cuenta de que lucharon con dudas, con ansiedad y hasta con un poco de depresión. Pero Dios los escogió para que nos sirvieran de ejemplo a todos. Y así como Dios les ayudó a vencer sus dudas, sabemos que Dios nos ayudará también a nosotros. »También dices que temes que Dios realmente no te haya salvado de tu pecado. ¿Estás arrepentido por las maneras en que has pecado? ¿Le has pedido a Dios que te perdone? ... ¿Estás procurando acercarte más a Dios cada día? Si tu respuesta a esas preguntas es afirmativa, entonces has sido salvado de tu pecado. La fe consiste en optar por creerlo aun cuando no lo sientas. »Te recomendamos que leas el Caso 293 en www.conciencia.net para aprovechar el consejo que le dimos a alguien que, al igual que tú, estaba luchando con las dudas....» Con eso termina lo que Linda, mi esposa, recomienda en este caso.
