Well, that was quick. Ohio State lost to TCU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday. And what were the Buckeyes doing on that final possession? Switching to football, is a Buckeye offensive lineman about to move to a different spot on the O-line? And can Kenyatta Jackson Jr. be a force off the edge in 2026 for OSU? "Just because a food is categorized as an ultra-processed food does not make it bad or unhealthy."Ultra-processed foods are making headlines, being blasted as addictive and dangerous, but what does the evidence actually tell us? In this episode, I unpack what ultra-processed foods really are, how the NOVA classification system defines them, and why the research linking them to binge eating, “food addiction,” and eating disorders is more complex than it sounds. We also explore how diet culture, restriction, and personal food history shape our relationship with food, and why finding peace with food requires more compassion and less moralizing of food. What You'll Learn:What ultra-processed foods actually are, how they're defined in research, and why these definitions matterHow media messaging about ultra-processed foods can activate guilt and food anxietyWhat current research actually says about the links between ultra-processed foods, binge eating, and so-called “food addiction”The limitations of using “food addiction” scales and why your dieting history can shape your behaviors around these foodsThe power of habituation: how repeated, less-restricted exposure to ultra-processed foods can actually decrease bingesWhy context, including diet culture, weight stigma, socioeconomic status, and upbringing, matters more than the headlines ever mentionResources:Examining the Nova Food Classification System and the Healthfulness of Ultra-Processed FoodsGrab the Hunger & Fullness Scale Guide at DietCultureRebel.com/hungerfullnessscale and take your next step toward building trust with your body and food.Connect with me over on Instagram at @diet.culture.rebel.Struggling with food, but not sure where to start? You don't have to feel 100% ready to get support. Sometimes the greatest adventures begin with a quiet moment and an open book.In this episode, I share a few of the books that are currently inspiring me. Reading helps me slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the deeper adventure unfolding in everyday life. One book I explore is Spiritual SmackDown: From Victim to Goddess by Jacqueline Shaw. After meeting Jacqueline and having a meaningful conversation together, I felt called to read her memoir. Her story of betrayal, faith, and spiritual transformation is a powerful reminder that even our hardest seasons can open the door to healing and a deeper connection with purpose.I also share several other books on my reading list including titles about horses, leadership, health, and stories I'm reading with my children. These books invite us to stay curious, keep learning, and remember that growth often begins with a simple question or a new perspective. Many coaches think branding means choosing a logo, colors, and fonts. But your brand is much deeper than that.If you don't know who I am, I'm Debbie Shadid. I've helped over 10,000 women build profitable coaching businesses, and one of the most important foundations of that success is building a strong personal brand. In this episode, I break down what branding really means for coaches and how to create a brand that attracts clients, builds trust, and separates you from everyone else online.Your brand is not just how things look. It is how people experience you, how they describe you when you are not in the room, and why they choose to trust you over someone else.If you want to build a coaching business that stands out in a crowded market, this training will help you design your brand intentionally instead of guessing your way through it. Here's what you'll learn in this episode:• Why your brand is NOT your logo (and what it actually is)• The four pillars of a powerful coaching brand• How to design your reputation on purpose• Why your story and perspective are your biggest competitive advantage• How to choose visuals, colors, and style that align with your future successful self• The role of messaging and why most coaches struggle to explain what they do• How a strong brand builds trust before anyone even books a callYour brand is the only thing in your business that cannot be copied. When you get clear on who you are, what you stand for, and how you show up, marketing becomes easier and clients start to recognize you as the expert in your niche.Ready to build a coaching brand that attracts the right clients?Start with my free Business Assessment:https://www.debbieshadid.com/scheduleTired of spinning in indecision about what to post, how to sell your coaching, or explain what you do? Charisma Quotient: Build Confidence, Make Connections and Find Love
Are you a smart, successful and high achiever who has your life together but when it comes to dating and flirting you feel completely stuck? What if the very strengths that make you thrive at work are holding you back in your love life? In Episode 435 of The Charisma Quotient, "Breaking Free from Overachiever Habits in Dating: Coaching with Kimmy," Kimmy sits down for a coaching call with Elena, a smart, stylish, and accomplished woman who finds herself struggling to tap into her feminine energy, especially in the dating world. They dig beneath the surface, exploring the root causes behind why high-achieving women often get stuck in the friend zone rather than the flirt zone. Elena bravely shares her experiences growing up in a Latina, Catholic household where strength, leadership, and independence were heavily emphasized—and how those qualities, while powerful in her career, present real challenges in romantic scenarios. Kimmy breaks down three key roadblocks—from childhood conditioning and cultural influences to control as a form of emotional safety—which can make it difficult to relax, be playful, and enjoy receiving attention. You'll hear: How career-driven habits can sabotage your ability to flirt and connect in romantic settings The difference between leading with masculine energy vs. tapping into your feminine energy (and why it matters) Why many high-achieving women default to "interviewing" on dates and how to break this pattern The impact of early family and cultural messages around strength, attractiveness, and being "enough" Kimmy's targeted advice and specific "homework" assignments to practice receiving attention and getting comfortable being seen If you have difficulties being playful, flirtatious and having fun with dating, then join Kimmy's next LIVE co-ed workshop How To Meet People IRL. You'll learn how to use your energy, body language, and subtle flirting cues to invite connection without forcing it or feeling awkward. Just go to www.stophatingdating.com to register. Hurry! Every human being has tender places in their nervous system.Places where life feels a little sharper.A little louder.A little harder to navigate.Sometimes it's a time of day.Sometimes it's chaos or clutter.Sometimes it's certain conversations that require more space and calm.I call these raw spots. And one of the quiet, beautiful privileges of loving someone is this:Over time, you begin to learn where those raw spots are.Not so you can avoid life. Not so you can walk on eggshells. But so that, when possible, you can soften the edges of the world for each other.Because the truth is: life will already bring enough friction, enough stress, enough chaos.A loving relationship is not meant to add more pain to the pile. It's meant to make the journey a little more bearable. In this week's episode, we talk about Protecting Each Other's Raw Spots, and why recognizing these sensitive places in ourselves and the people we love can completely change how we show up in relationships.Episode timestamps:00:02 — Why knowing each other's raw spots matters01:06 — When life feels chaotic and beautiful at the same time02:19 — What “raw spots” actually are02:32 — My wife's raw spot: visual clutter and overwhelm06:16 — Another example: slow mornings and protecting space08:47 — My own raw spot (and how we learned to protect it)11:33 — Identifying patterns: time, topics, and situations14:29 — Why protecting each other's raw spots strengthens relationshipsBecause in the end, this is what loving someone really means:Not removing all difficulty from life. But learning how to hold each other a little more gently as we walk through it.

I'm recording this episode while I'm in New York, and I had one of those moments where I paused and thought, wow… I'm living the life I once barely believed was possible. I'm in a healthy, loving marriage with a partner who celebrates me and cheers me on, I have incredible friendships, and I'm doing work that truly lights me up. But the truth is, none of this would have been possible without a major identity shift. In this episode, I'm walking you through exactly why your dating patterns don't change until your identity changes and how shifting from an anxiously attached identity to a securely attached identity completely transforms the way you date, choose partners, and experience relationships.Inside the episode, I'm breaking down:Why mindset work alone won't change your dating patternsHow your identity shapes the partners you attract and chooseThe core beliefs behind anxious attachmentWhat securely attached people actually believe about loveIf this episode resonated with you and you know it's time to finally break these patterns, I want to invite you to apply for my Empowered.Secure.Loved. If you've done the vision boards, the affirmations, and the gratitude journals, and you're still stuck, this episode explains why. The real block isn't your mindset. It's your nervous system. In this episode, I break down:• Why good things feel physically unsafe to your body• The 3 patterns of self-sabotage and what's really driving them• What triggers your nervous system to reject love, money, and success• A 7-step nervous system reset you can start today• What somatic manifestation actually means — and why it works when nothing else hasIf you actually apply what I teach in this episode, everything starts to shift. You stop blowing up good relationships. You stop ghosting your own goals. You stop creating chaos just to feel familiar again. Instead, you become the woman who can hold peace, hold money, hold success, and hold love. Your nervous system expands to match the life you are manifesting.
"Yoga is a place where I can let go of who I decided that I'm supposed to be and see myself from a different perspective."Do you ever feel like movement is just another box to check off instead of something that actually feels good? In this episode, I'm joined by yoga teacher, author, and entrepreneur Jessamyn Stanley to talk about how diet culture and anti-fat bias shape our relationship with exercise and why so many people experience movement as punishing or shameful. Jessamyn shares her journey from a less-than-inspiring first yoga class to developing a more compassionate relationship with her body by simply giving herself permission to try. Together, we unpack how to untangle movement from pressure to change your body, navigate fitness spaces that don't always feel inclusive, and rebuild trust, presence, and self-respect through practices like yoga...even on days when body love feels out of reach. What You'll Learn:How diet culture shapes our relationships with exercise, making movement feel forced, punishing, or like a choreWhy shame shows up so often in fitness spaces, and how to approach body image with compassion and respect instead of pressure to “love” your bodyPractical ways to rebuild trust with your body and make movement genuinely enjoyableThe ways yoga and intuitive eating both teach you to check in with your body's cues and respond with care instead of controlHow to begin separating wellness practices (like yoga) from diet culture narratives and reclaim movement for yourselfThe power of advocacy, showing up shamelessly, and why seeing real, diverse bodies in movement spaces matters for everyoneConnect with Jessamyn:Instagram: @theunderbellyyogaInstagram: @mynameisjessamynWebsiteJoin The Underbelly for freeStruggling to know when to eat or when to stop isn't a failure… it could be a byproduct of following diet rules instead of your body's cues. If manifestation hasn't worked for you — despite mindset shifts, affirmations, and visualization — this episode explains why. It's not your belief system. It's your nervous system.I introduce the concept of the Frequency Gap — the distance between what you consciously desire and what your body has been conditioned to feel safe receiving. In this episode, you'll discover:• Why manifestation is a somatic process• How chronic fight-or-flight blocks abundance• What sympathetic dominance does to intuition and creativity• Three signs your nervous system is running a scarcity program• The daily recalibration practice that closes the gapThis episode blends neuroscience, trauma awareness, and energetic strategy to help you regulate first — then manifest.Because you cannot create from survival.
Garret Price and Andrew Mott shift from Combine takeaways into the real domino period: NFL free agency. The focus is how quickly dynasty value can swing based on tags, cap space, and surprise landing spots. The quarterback section starts with Daniel Jones as the cleanest call to return. From there, they frame Kirk Cousins as more of a bridge or depth option than a true long-term starter, with potential fits depending on how a team wants to handle the next rookie class. The most discussed “swing” outcome is Malik Willis. They see logical scenarios where he lands in a spot that gives him a chance to start sooner rather than later, but they also push back on the idea that he becomes a franchise saver. The upside is real for fantasy. The long-term NFL outlook is still more uncertain. At running back, they spend time on the tension around Breece Hall, with the tag scenario creating downside risk for both fantasy managers and the player's perceived freedom. Kenneth Walker is treated as more likely to stay put, but with enough uncertainty that it is worth tracking closely through the deadline. From there, the conversation turns to possible landing spots and role fits. Travis Etienne is one of the biggest pieces on the board if he changes teams. Rachaad White gets framed as a committee and depth type of option rather than a clear starter. Rico Dowdle, Tyler Allgeier, and JK Dobbins round out the “next tier” of backs who could become important depending on how a backfield is built and how much money a team is willing to spend. On the wide receiver side, they start with Alec Pierce as a clean field-stretcher fit for multiple teams. Mike Evans is the headliner name if the longtime situation finally changes, with a clear expectation that any move would be tied to chasing a title. They also run through veteran and role-based fits, including Wan'Dale Robinson, Romeo Doubs, Jauan Jennings, and Christian Kirk, with the key point being that teams with cap space and obvious needs can reshape the entire room quickly. They close the receiver discussion with Deebo Samuel and Rashid Shaheed, focusing on how either player could change an offense's geometry depending on usage and price. At tight end, they highlight David Njoku as the kind of addition that can immediately upgrade an offense that needs a true middle-of-the-field presence. Isaiah Likely is treated as a talented option whose market may not be as hot as fantasy managers expect. Cade Otton is discussed as a solid, reliable tight end piece who can fit multiple teams without needing to be the entire passing game. You've been lied to about age spots. Skin discoloration known as age spots isn't just “sun spots" and is not simply the result of getting older. In this video, I'll show you how to get rid of age spots naturally by addressing the root cause. Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO070:00 Introduction: What causes age spots?0:37 Age spots on hands and face 1:15 Age spot causes 2:16 Oxidative stress and hyperpigmentation3:56 Selenium and dark spots on skin6:45 Copper and age spots7:54 Clear skin tips If you have age spots on your face and hands, you're often offered lasers or creams that don't work or make matters worse. Hyperpigmentation, or age spots, is caused by melanin, the naturally occurring pigment in your skin that protects you from ultraviolet light and free radical damage. Dark spots on the skin are actually a protective mechanism.Melanin spots are caused by uneven melanin production, which means there's a problem with the regulator in the melanocyte, the cell that produces melanin. This is often caused by oxidative stress. Glutathione regulates melanin and reduces oxidation. Without enough glutathione, you can't regulate melanin, which can lead to melanin spots. Low selenium can cause your glutathione levels to decline. Two Brazil nuts per day offer all the selenium you need. You can also get selenium from shellfish. High-quality animal protein is vital for glutathione production. The demand for glutathione increases in menopausal women. If you're dealing with chronic stress, you'll also need more glutathione. Copper is a trace mineral that helps your body make melanin. Too much or too little copper can cause issues with melanin production. Zinc can help regulate copper. After working to increase your glutathione levels, it can take 30 days to 6 weeks to see improvement in your hyperpigmentation. In the meantime, try a vitamin C serum to address dark spots on the skin topically. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting.
