Thousands are protesting in London against President Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom. Demonstrators have filled Trafalgar Square and a giant blimp depicting the president as an angry orange baby has gone up in Parliament Square. At a news conference with Prime Minister Theresa May, Trump said the U.S. is committed to a "phenomenal" trade deal with Britain as it prepares to leave the European Union. May is stepping down this week as head of her Conservative Party. The powerful younger sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has attended a public event in Pyongyang....for the first time in more than 50 days. Her appearance has cast further doubt on media speculation that he had ordered her to lay low over a failed nuclear summit with Washington. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is proposing a $5 trillion climate plan. He says it would lead the U.S. to net zero emission of carbon pollution by 2050.

Team Noonan, Dunleavy and Offord are mostly enjoying a bit of outdoor time in this week's podzine, which is No 44, but should be No 45, given we recorded the Bush Telegraph special at the Women's March on London on the day of Trump's UK visit. Mickey and Hannah are surrounded by birdsong as they chat #TeamEmily with the Brontë Parsonage Museum's Lauren Livesey. Hannah also went to sunny Mold to talk Home, I'm Darling with actress Katherine Parkinson and Theatr Clwyd's Tamara Harvey. And the one time a studio happened, it was to learn more about the Hockey World Cup from Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh. So no complaints there. American comrades Sam Sacks and Sam Knight were kind enough to invite Laura onto their excellent newscast, The District Sentinel, to talk about Donald Trump's visit to the UK and the current wave of protests, plus plug the Durham Miners' Gala and explain why her dearly departed @thisgeordielass account was suspended by Twitter. It was a premium episode on the DC guys' Patreon but, even kinder than their invitation in the first place, they gave us the episode to distribute amongst our disciples as we see fit. So here it is, free of charge, 25 mins of new Laura #content.
