Juggling purpose, your creative gifts and Life… Making sure no area in your life is left neglected whilst you're on the up is a challenge we all face every now and again. Whether it's your friendships, relationship, God or Career, there has to be a balance for it all right? So what happens when you can't keep up and something is left unattended? Thriving in one area but feeling redundant in another. Sometimes the answer is to just simplify things and go back to basics. Who knew being ghosted could bring about a valuable lesson! Acknowledge how you feel yes but, don't allow yourself to live in every emotion because not every emotion is rooted or comes from a healthy place. Proverbs 16:32 Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. In an attempt to guard our hearts it means keeping your eyes open, being alert always and not being caught off guard. It also means not getting too comfortable right? It gives trust no one suspect everybody vibes. It can really be confusing or conflicting when you still have to remain hopeful and be in a place of openness and be willing to trust and believe the best of everyone. If your hope has been deferred, take each day as it comes and ask God to fill you with new hope each day. - Even if you have to ask daily. Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. “When we pour out our miseries God just hears a melody, beautiful the mess we are. The honest cries of breaking hearts - better than a hallelujah” Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Let's be real having to look at yourself in the mirror and being honest about what you see isn't an easy thing to do. Especially when you realise or have to accept the part you may have played. Looking in the mirror requires you to be honest about what you see. Not only that but, you have to be brave enough to accept and acknowledge what you see and that's not the end, you have to be bold enough to put in the work to making the necessary changes. When we tell God or express to Him our concerns, one of the things His word tells us is to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path” - Proverbs 3:5-6 Leaning ‘On' something leaves you at risks of falling should whatever you're leaning on be removed as often you cannot see what's happening behind you. However, when leaning forward you can see what's happening in front of you and it's unlikely that you will be caught off guard. Much like leaning on our own understanding, it leaves us exposed with the risk of being caught unaware however, if we lean forward or better yet lean in to God and trust in Him, He directs our paths and we can see what's ahead. Giving God all the pieces of me, even the very ugly pieces that I don't like. Either way he loves me even on my worst day. It's always easier show and only give the pieces of us that we deem to be ‘loveable', we don't want others and even God to see the pieces of us that still require some work on. EPHESIANS 3:18-19 “I ask that you'll have the power to grasp love's width and length, height and depth, together with all believers. I ask that you'll know the love of Christ that is beyond knowledge so that you will be filled entirely with the fullness of God.” God loves every piece of me. One of the things that stifle our growth and progression is our inability to follow through with things, whether it be commitments we've to our or made with others. There's never really perfect moment and so we have to be able to flow with time, that means using each opportunity available and making it work for you. Being overlooked sucks but it's also heartwarming to be handpicked… See, it's one thing to be overlooked without knowing it but, what do you do when you know you're being overlooked? Is it possible we've been making a fuss about weeds when in actual fact garden weeds aren't as bad we make them out to be? My desire is that wherever I go my hands must find something to do.. I can never be bored or idle thats the Proverbs 31 woman she honors the Lord and her hands always find something to do.. she blooms where she's planted with or without the weeds being present!

“Going Green” when we hear of the term going green its mostly environment related and it's essentially seeking and pursuing knowledge and or practical ways of doing things that are more beneficial to the evironment. So making decisions that are more in favour or decisions that have the environments best interest at heart. How does this relate to us as Christians? We are going green. We are making conscious decisions about how we choose to trust in God. When we know better, we are going to do better! Going green: pursing the knowledge and practices that aid and favour your relationship with God. Looking back from where we started! - “Ebenezer thus far you have brought us!” It's important to name our places of victory, when we commemorate the place of our victories, we set permanent reminders of God's goodness and his faithfulness. Just like the memorial stones we see erected in Genesis 28v10-22, Joshua 4v1-8 and 1 Samuel 7v7-12. We need to have reference points we can draw strength from in times of doubt and uncertainty, we can look back from where we started and see God's track record of showing up and showing out for us! Another growth episode! Can we talk some truth and be transparent for a second? I was once obsessed with wanting to be a b…i…t…c…h because it seemed to be the only way to get people to respect you and not to take you for granted. But see, the more you grow in Christ the more you realise that your character doesn't change because of the others inability to see your value. We don't love because others love, we love because it's what we are called to do and be. We are to be a reflection and an extension of his love. Don't allow the world to harden your heart, keep that genuineness and pureness. *Do all things in love and with love* “BOUNDARIES” I've got a whole lot of love to give and a whole lot of boundaries to accompany that love. *Father's Day episode special* Personally, the best characteristic for a father to have is the ability to see. I'm not just talking about the regular seeing with your eyes but, seeing beyond what is there. I believe that the best fathers see. They have oversight, they are able to see things from different perspectives in order to make sure everything has been covered and taken care of. They factor in everything! Always one step ahead because they see. They have vision and when Fathers have vision they are able to lead clearly. Matthew 6:8 "Your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Parents always have weird sayings they use in order to push their points across.. Take for example “So because you ate yesterday, you won't eat again today?” It didn't make sense to me then but as they say, with age comes wisdom. Realisation kicks in! Matthew 6 v 34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” Each day has enough trouble of it's own. There has to be a prayer for each day. So because you prayed yesterday, does that mean you won't pray again today? The truth hurts but it's always necessary! Nothing about us is mediocre, so when we choose to function in mediocrity we are functioning outside of who he called us to be. Oozing excellence all the time doesn't mean you don't rest or take breaks but, it means anytime you find yourself doing anything, you do it with all your might. You do it to the best of your ability! The truth is that sometimes we get to this point especially as believers, where we our relationship with God starts to feel like same old same old.. Repetitive and monotonous! So what then? We go back to the basics! - We strip everything back so that we can understand afresh the “why”. A fresh understanding and a fresh revelation recharges your faith. You can only worship God to the point of your understanding and revelation of who he is! Episode 12 Preview - “I tried to run” (The Purpose Episode) “But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.” Jonah 1:3 Though it may seem daunting and running seems like the viable option, don't run away. Embrace the calling over your life and walk in it. Many times you find that when we run away, we're not actually running away out of sheer disobedience but, more out fear and being afraid that we either won't measure up or that we'll get it wrong. Both are valid concerns but, the truth remains: 1. There is a need for what God has placed in your hands 2. You are chosen for a reason 3. You won't go wrong if you check in with God at each turn. You'd be surprised that most times all we need to do is to keep it simple and not be so focused or obsessed with saying so much! God grants His light to us when we read and meditate on His word, and it's not complicated. The truth in the Bible is quite simple. Yet so profound. But, you find that we are always adding random goal posts for things that don't require a goal post. The gospel is not complicated. You need not be a scholar, you just need an open and willing heart that's ready to learn. Isn't it funny how we are constantly searching for clarity and direction? Unfortunately often times we are looking in the wrong place and even how we are looking is wrong. We tend to perceive bowing down or kneeling as being the lowest or lesser posture. We've grown up hearing “you must bow and kneel for your elders” - whilst it is done out of ‘respect', it also distinguishes who has the upper hand. However....There's something significant about bowing and kneeling before God. Our highest place is at his feet. We receive answers We receive revelation We receive understanding.... Sometimes we have moments where we feel we have been in waiting forever Put the truth is when we have got we have everything we need so, even though our desires and our wants haven't come to pass yet we have what we actually NEED already because we have God. I was reminded that each time God has made and to wait, it has been for my own good and with that knowledge I am able to say to myself whenever I find myself in waiting that I can wait a little longer because, are we know waiting on God's perfect timing is the best thing one can do! My tears express best what my words fail to in moments of pain and even joy. Tears have their own language, just like a parent can tell what kind of cry is coming out from their child is the same way God knows and understands the language of our tears. Psalm 56 v 8 “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” Abba knows, he sees and he understands my tears. Boundaries are there to protect us and to keep us guarded from things and situations that make us uncomfortable. Boundaries are there to define what we stand for as individuals. When we think “we are just being kind” at the expense of our own emotions and boundaries “we are just being foolish” Ecclesiastes 10:18 “when you dig a well, you might fall in. When you demolish an old wall, you could be bitten by a snake” BOUNDARIES ARE TO BE RESPECTED! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Grave digging probably isn't most people's dream job but, there's a hidden beauty I've discovered to it. Digging to bring others out and not to bury them. With so many conversations and debates happening today it can be hard to decipher what's true or to see and hear the clear message.. What we need is clarity... not just any clarity but God's clarity. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21 we are told to test everything and to hold fast what is good. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Often times when we hear the message of the cross we tend to focus on the part of our sins being forgiven.. Whilst YES the forgiveness of our sins is the most important reason for the cross. Our sins being forgiven isn't the only thing that took place whilst Jesus hung on the cross. Whilst he hung on the cross the veil was also torn. It was torn so that today we too can express the joys of walking with him and being called his friend. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
