Danielle Kartes is back—and this time, she's walking into the pressure cooker of Next Level Chef. Filmed in Ireland, judged by Gordon Ramsay, and completely outside her comfort zone, this season marks a stunning new chapter for a woman who once lost everything she thought defined her life. In this episode, Danielle shares the long road that led here: a failed restaurant, years of financial uncertainty, a marriage that nearly didn't survive, and the slow, holy work of rebuilding from the ground up. We talk about motherhood, faith, perseverance, and why you don't actually lose yourself in hard seasons. This is a conversation for anyone in the middle of an “ugly” chapter who needs permission to hope again and courage to keep going. Julie Jancius shares a powerful teaching on hope as a spiritual practice, explaining why hope is not naive or unrealistic, but essential for receiving blessings, abundance, and divine support. Julie explores how hope acts as the bridge between prayer and manifestation, how closing off hope blocks receiving, and why allowing yourself to hope helps your soul recognize divine guidance before the mind catches up. This episode offers gentle support for anyone navigating disappointment, uncertainty, grief, financial stress, or a season of waiting, inviting you to reopen your heart and trust that life is oriented toward love. Hope is an expectancy in the not yet, an enjoyment in what is as if received now! A belief and assurance that God is Who He says He is, therefore I have hope! One of the most self-sabotaging patterns I see with clients (and myself) is being afraid to believe in ourselves. And there's one thought in particular that so often holds us back: "Don't get your hopes up." I'm sure we've all heard this growing up and throughout our adult lives, and it's really become your brain's way of now keeping you safe. Because it wants to protect you from feeling disappointed. The problem is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy whereby we don't fully go after those big dreams and goals. We hold ourselves back. But don't worry - there's a simple fix! Join me for today's episode where we dive deeper into this sabotaging pattern and how to break free. And I want to challenge you to believe something new... Wherever there is hope recovery follows. This is the truth. However, most of us, when in the running for a desired position, an award, an acting role, or good news on test results, we tend to outright dismiss Hope. We'll start by sharing the good news with a friend and then within the same breath squelch our enthusiasm for it by saying, “But, I don't want to get my hopes up.” Although we've been seemingly taught by saying this phrase we're being humble and respectable, the truth is we're actually denouncing God, negating our good. We've replaced our faith with superstition. Thinking that somehow if we cooperate with the positive stream of life and God's grace that we will jeopardize it. That's insanity. On this episode, Darrell and Ed encourage listeners to break the bad habit of casting bad superstitious spells upon themselves and start cooperating with God, by casting Good spells upon one another. That's the Gospel, the good spell! And, during the second segment, Magnificent Marty Thurman gets us all living it up with today's reading, “The Creative Power of the Mind”.
