Freedom is a process that begins at salvation. God continues to work out his promises in our lives to set us free and give us an abundant life. In this message we learn how Jesus is the key to a life of true freedom.
Salvation- We're all looking for salvation - someone or something to save us from dissatisfaction, brokenness or troubles. But we look for it in all the wrong places. God's promise of salvation is revealed n Jesus. This promise isn't for an exclusive few. It's for everyone, including you.
If any area of your life feels dead - if you ever feel enslaved, hopeless or forgotten - there is Good News: God is in the moving business. Discover how God moves us from where we are to the salvation, freedom, purpose and family we all want.
Do you want to silence Satan and make him flee? Your worship is your weapon. In this message, we talk about four lessons from the frontlines for living in victory.
Disclaimer: Even though we had a great service this morning, we had some technical difficulties with our live stream. Thankfully we were still able to capture the bulk of the sermon for you! You're not imagining things. The enemy is always at work behind the scenes to steal, kill and destroy the life God has for us. The good news is: We win! In this message, we break down the spiritual armor of God and reveal how every piece of this military kit is essential for our daily fight against Satan.
Framing the Fight- Spiritual warfare is a battle we can't avoid, but the only way to lose is to refuse to fight. In this message, we draw up the battle lines for our everyday struggle against the enemy, and he reminds us that we can stand up to the enemy's schemes and win.
Close circles of friends are important. When we avoid these things we drift into isolation and leave ourselves open to battles we should never have to fight alone! We should surround oursleves with a circle of people to do life with. A circle that stays with us through the easy times AND the hard times!
As Christians we have the biggest reason to celebrate ever! So why do we sometimes allow the world to celebrate more than we do? We should never be afraid to celebrate what God has done for us!
A special Sunday dedicated to the teachers, students and parents as this school year gets started!
This is the ending of our MIXTAPE series and we have had a blast doing it. Dave crushed it today with a simple message: Church shouldn't be designed for just "Church People". That was never the intention of Jesus. Church is truly for EVERYONE, therefore it should look like it. We are all sinners and we all fall short! Be sure to check this message out!
Wanting a perfect life is something we have all desired at one time or another, but the perfect life doesn't come from any one thing. There is only one person who can give us perfection!
Another One Bites The Dust- MIXTAPE Summer Series
Today Dave talked about four ways that we can make the most of our days. (1) Create moments worth repeating. (2) Create space between your load and your limit. (3) Decide, rather than slide, your way through the day. (4) Refuse to feed regrets and ask Jesus to redeem your remaining days. Learn to number your days, so God will give you a heart of wisdom.
How should we prepare for Easter? For followers of Jesus, it should involve more than candy and eggs. We must remember the cross and the resurrection. Without both, there is no Easter.
Is your life out of control? Do you feel overwhelmed? Helpless? Hopeless? What if I told you that you can get back on track today and experience true healing, help, and hope? It can happen but only through the name that is above every name - Jesus Christ!
When all hope is lost and winning is nowhere in sight, Jesus is always ready to rescue "the one" and wants us to do the same. Who's the "one" you need to go after?
The most important thing the church should focus on is the reason that we have hope in the first place- the resurrection! The tomb is empty and it's time to rejoice!
We'll change the world by teaching kids to love Jesus and His church by providing environments where they have fun while learning about Jesus on their level. Today was all about our Children's ministry (The Factory) and why we do what we do. Check it out and if you've got kids and are looking for a church home, come visit us sometime.
Atari missed out on Apple. Blockbuster missed out on Netflix. I don't want us to miss out on God's investment into our lives or the next generation. One of our goals is to hand the Church off to the next generation better than we found it, and we won't reach the next generation by lecturing them, but by loving them.
The difficult days in your marriage can drive you apart or bring you closer together. In this message we will talk about the key to living a marriage that is better than happily ever after.
Change begins when you move locations and bring your baggage to Jesus. If you want/need change in your life, you have to get up and move and take the steps necessary to experience change that lasts.
Sharing your story can lead to salvation! We all love to tell stories about ourselves, our kids and our friends. Jesus asks the same from us that he did the demon-possessed man in Mark 5 “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Who will you tell your story too?
Life has given us #hashtags that are often difficult to overcome--#unattractive #accident #unloved #broken #stupid. There is only one person who has the right to #hashtag you. Listen today to learn who it is.
God wants to bless you, but do you trust Him? This message will stretch your understanding of God's abundant provision for your life.
We all have things in our lives we would like to change - finances, relationships, things about ourselves. However, simply knowing they need to change doesn't get the job done. Information + Application = Transformation
We all have things we need to change in our lives. The truth is you can' experience real change until you see it as a necessity, take responsibility, and begin to live obediently. Change is necessary but not always easy. Jesus will never lead you to a change He will not sustain you through. #change #flattire #buttheFathersaid jenkschurch.org *****DISCLAIMER***** Please forgive the sound quality. I promise it will be worth it!
2018 was a year of growth, salvation, celebration, and next steps. As we reflect on God's faithfulness in 2018, we trust He's got even more in store for 2019. We truly believe, "The Best is Yet To Come!"
Reconciling with someone who has wronged us or wronged someone we love is not intuitive or comfortable. But sometimes it's necessary . . . for our sakes because resentment takes a toll, and for their sakes because they want to reconnect. Christmas is a time of reconciliation between God and sinners, but what about reconciliation between sinner and sinner?
The Ten Commandments are more than just commands—they're promises, and with each promise we're given more reasons to say "yes" to Jesus!
Hopeless? Hurting? When life presses in and everything feels out of control, know that Jesus promises to make everything right eventually. Don't lose hope.
We may feel like we're stuck in our circumstances, but God knows exactly where we are and what we need. We just need to say "yes" to all that He has for us!
One of life’s most underrated spiritual skill is expressing gratitude. Without it you are spiritually handicapped – with it you are in position to receive God’s unpredictable goodness and blessings. Giving thanks puts you in position to receive God’s blessings in unpredictable ways. Who do you need to express your gratitude to today?
The Christian life should be marked by selfless, sacrificial, genuine love–the same love exemplified by Jesus, our savior. True love has the power to connect people to Jesus and each other in a world-transforming way.
Jesus talked about one thing more than forgiveness, love, or prayer — the kingdom of God. Most of us have prayed "your kingdom come" without much thought about what that means. But when Jesus came, He came to establish a kingdom. And the more we know about His kingdom, the more it changes how we think and live every day.
As we get older, we gravitate toward what's comfortable. This pull from courageous to complacent fights against what God wants to do in us. The abundant life and amazing love Jesus wants us to experience always lie on the other side of faith steps and bold moves. We believe that without faith it is impossible to please God, but with it, we can move mountains. We will be a church that always chooses faith over fear.
“We believe Jesus prayed for it, so we will pursue it. We will be a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, unified church.”
God is a promise maker and promise keeper. Hear from current and former leaders how God builds our faith individually and corporately when we trust His promises.
We were made to be different. But we won't get there by doing what we've always done. This requires a change from the inside out. We'll have to think different to be different. Only then will we begin to do things differently and live in a way that makes a difference.
