“Disclosure Day” and “The Odyssey” are expected to dominate the summer box office, but they’re not quite here. Instead, we’ve been left with an underwhelming start to the summer movie season to go with the conclusion of several seasons and series of streaming favorites. On this week’s episode, co-host Bruce Miller shares his thoughts on movies that missed the mark, from “Power Ballad” to “The Breadwinner” to “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.” And then there is another movie with low expectations: “Masters of the Universe.” Co-host Terry Lipshetz shares his thoughts on the conclusions of “Euphoria,” “Beef,” “Half Man,” “The Testaments,” and “For All Mankind,” before turning to the start of the latter’s spinoff, “Star City.” About the show Streamed & Screened is a podcast about movies and TV hosted by Bruce Miller, a longtime entertainment reporter who is the retired editor of the Sioux City Journal in Iowa and Terry Lipshetz, managing editor of the National Newsroom for Lee Enterprises based in Madison, Wisconsin. The show was named Best Podcast in the 2025 Iowa Better Newspaper Contest. Theme music Thunder City by Lunareh, used under license from Soundstripe. YouTube clearance: FV694ULMCJQDG0IY

Why Am I Podcasting Again?Have you ever stopped and wondered if you're podcasting for the right reasons?Sometimes it can feel like we're shouting into the void while the rest of our lives demand our attention. Between work, family, and everything else competing for our time, it's easy to look at your podcast and wonder if it's still worth the effort. When Life Gets in the WayIn this episode, I talk about the challenge of keeping your podcast momentum alive when life gets messy. Not every season of podcasting is exciting. Sometimes you're tired, overwhelmed, or simply questioning whether the time you're investing is paying off. Those moments happen to all of us, and they often force us to reevaluate why we started podcasting in the first place. The Passion vs. Profit QuestionOne conversation really stood out to me. I spoke with a client who had been podcasting for four years but had never seriously considered how to monetize their show. Their goal was simply to share helpful content and make a positive impact. But after four years, they started asking a different question: "Is this still enough?"That question opened the door to a deeper discussion about goals, expectations, and what success actually looks like.Sometimes the Goal Needs to ChangeOne of the biggest lessons from this conversation is that it's okay for your goals to evolve.Maybe you started podcasting as a hobby. Maybe you wanted to build a community, grow your business, or simply have meaningful conversations. As your circumstances change, your reasons for podcasting can change too.A fresh perspective can reignite your enthusiasm and help you see opportunities you may have overlooked.Finding New Energy for Your PodcastIf you've been feeling stuck, frustrated, or uncertain about your podcast's future, this episode is a reminder that you're not alone. Sometimes the solution isn't quitting. Sometimes it's simply redefining what you're trying to accomplish.By revisiting your goals and being honest about what you want from your podcast, you may discover a new sense of purpose that makes the journey exciting again.Keep This in Mind When Monetizing Your ShowAs someone who wrote a book about making money with your podcast, you need to keep in mind you don't monetize a podcast, you monetize audience (and often yours is too small as 3% of your audience will take action). Final ThoughtsPodcasting today can feel overwhelming. There are endless platforms, constant changes, and enough advertisements to make anyone question their sanity. But when you reconnect with your "why," the path forward often becomes much clearer. If you've ever wondered whether your podcast is still serving you—or whether you're serving your podcast—this episode is for you.Takeaways:Babies are like the ultimate podcasting nemesis, demanding all your attention and time.Monetizing your podcast can feel like a nasty uphill battle, trust me on that one.If you're not making money, don't lose sight of the joy your podcast brings you.Changing your goals can light a fire under you and bring back that energy and enthusiasm.Links referenced in this episode:schoolofpodcasting.comThis podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: OP3 - https://op3.dev/privacy

What do you get when you combine Vegas gambling drama, illegal cockfighting, Garth Brooks' billion-dollar music catalog, talking pets, celebrity chaos, and a healthy dose of completely unnecessary arguments? You get another perfectly normal day on The Rizzuto Show.In Episode 201, the crew dives into one of the wildest casino stories we've heard in a long time. A woman hits a jackpot in Pennsylvania, the lights flash, the bells ring, everyone celebrates... and then the police show up. Turns out she had voluntarily banned herself from casinos years earlier, creating one of the strangest gambling situations imaginable. Did she deserve the money? Should the casino have stopped her before she ever played? The debate gets surprisingly heated. From there, things somehow get even weirder. We head out to Nevada, where authorities busted a massive illegal cockfighting operation involving hundreds of birds, stacks of cash, and enough bizarre details to make everyone question humanity for a few minutes. Naturally, the crew also dives into the strange history of cockfighting and how it somehow became one of the oldest spectator sports in human history. As if that wasn't enough, the conversation takes a hard left turn into pet territory. If you could ask your dog or cat one question and get a real answer, what would it be? Are they happy? Do they secretly judge us? Are they plotting something? The gang spends far more time than anyone should discussing the emotional lives of household pets, and honestly, it might be the most important topic of the day.Meanwhile, Garth Brooks may be sitting on a music catalog worth up to $2 billion, which sparks a conversation about legendary artists cashing out. Bruce Springsteen, Queen, and now potentially Garth could be changing the future of music ownership forever.Plus, Lern delivers another packed Crap on Celebrities featuring Taylor Swift wedding rumors, Jeff Goldblum coming to St. Louis, Sydney Sweeney's upcoming Sleepy Hollow project, Mama June updates nobody asked for, Netflix documentaries, TV cancellations, celebrity birthdays, and one of the greatest collections of music mashups you'll hear all week. This daily comedy show proves once again that no topic is too ridiculous, no celebrity gossip is too random, and no argument is too dumb to spend twenty minutes discussing. If you're looking for a daily comedy show packed with weird news, pop culture commentary, hilarious debates, and the kind of chaos only The Rizzuto Show can deliver, you've come to the right place.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
The gang welcomes Ashley Vogt and NHL veteran Jamie Rivers into the studio to celebrate two massive life events: a surprise Nashville engagement and the launch of Synergy Integrated Healthcare. But before anyone can get sentimental, the show immediately derails into a debate about throwing apple cores out of moving vehicles and whether that technically makes you a criminal. Spoiler alert: Missouri law apparently has thoughts.Meanwhile, Moon relives the heartbreak of being passed over for a coveted Blue Angels flight after thinking he was officially cleared for takeoff. The crew spends an alarming amount of time trying to figure out who could possibly be worthy of stealing his seat. Steve Ewing? John Goodman? Wayne Gretzky? Andy Cohen? The investigation continues. As if that wasn't enough, the crew checks in on the internet-famous guy attempting to live in a room for an entire year while livestreaming the experience. He's lost weight, picked up hobbies, and somehow still has fewer viewers than some houseplants on social media. The discussion quickly turns into a philosophical debate about personal sacrifice, family life, and whether staying locked in a room sounds like punishment or a vacation. Then comes Alpha-Gal Syndrome, the tick-borne condition that could potentially rob meat lovers of everything they hold dear. Lern takes a suspicious amount of joy in imagining a future where Riz can't eat meatballs in Europe, while the rest of the room tries desperately not to anger the tick gods.Elsewhere in the chaos:A movie theater guest commits the unthinkable by removing their shoes during a screening.Twizzlers become accidental footwear accessories.Ashley reveals the incredible multi-layered deception behind her Nashville proposal.Jamie explains why acupuncture works wonders despite his refusal to bother Ashley with every ache and pain. The crew discusses regenerative medicine, healthcare innovations, and how a grand opening somehow ends with another reminder not to throw food out your car window. It's everything you'd expect from a funny podcast: weird stories, unnecessary arguments, heartfelt moments, and just enough public embarrassment to keep everyone humble.Whether you're here for the engagement story, the Blue Angels drama, movie theater etiquette, Alpha-Gal panic, or simply to hear grown adults debate the ecological impact of a Granny Smith apple, this funny podcast delivers exactly the kind of daily chaos you've come to expect. And if you're wondering whether Jamie ever stopped throwing apple cores out the window... absolutely not. At least not voluntarily. This funny podcast may not improve your life, but it will make you feel significantly better about your own decision-making skills.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
A swashbuckling South African expat, Benjamin Mauerberger, rose up as a boiler-room stock hustler in Southeast Asia, then reappeared years later with a diplomatic passport and extraordinary wealth. When reporters start pulling at threads, they uncover an entirely new identity: this stock scammer seems to now be a key player in the industrial “pig butchering” scam economy. How does a small-time con artist end up orbiting political dynasties, buying yachts and private jets?… And what happens when the doors finally start to close? It's apparent, the fix is in, and has been in the works for some time to flip the script into Autocracy. As creatives, what are we to do? How can we possibly fight back with equal measure? Canary Canard Studios was created to be a cudgel to Far Right politics. We ultimately felt like we were taking a knife to thermonuclear gunfight. The struggle was how to amplify our voice and message to Roll Back this RED TIDE. Artificial intelligence was used in the production of this podcast. We disclose that openly because we understand the concern. AI carries profound risks: it exists in a world already marked by war, violence, disinformation, and the possible displacement of artists and human labor. We do not dismiss those fears; we share many of them. For us, AI is not authorship, ideology, or replacement. It is a tool governed by human hands, human judgment, and human values. We remain fully responsible for every creative and ethical choice. But, why? We believe the world is hurtling, yet again, towards a critical mass and Democracy is worth saving, by any means necessary. In the end: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a republic or a monarchy?” Ben Franklin replied: “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Dopey Film Festival: https://buytickets.at/thedopeyfoundation/2216905 Listen without ads www.patreon.com/dopeypodcast This week on the Wednesday Dose of Dopey, Dave opens the show with Brer Brian's Dopey Wednesday anthem and immediately starts hustling tickets for the upcoming Dopey Short Film Festival in New York City. Dave explains that only nine tickets have sold so far and promises cheap tickets, food, fellowship, desserts, filmmakers, and recovery community vibes. He begs the Dopey Nation to come out and support the event while Winnie the dog barks in the background. Before getting to the main interview, Dave plays an absolutely insane voicemail from longtime Dopey contributor JD DeHart about surviving a cocaine overdose during a three-day binge in a trailer in Mississippi when he was 20 years old. JD describes an old-school coke and crack marathon involving an entire ounce of cocaine, nonstop shooting coke, smoking crack, drinking beer, no sleep, no food, and no water. He vividly recounts doing a gigantic shot of cocaine and suddenly entering a terrifying paralysis where he could hear and see everything but couldn't move a single part of his body. JD compares the experience to the Metallica “One” video and explains how his paranoid dealer friend may have saved his life by slapping him awake, giving him water and food, and slowly bringing him out of the overdose. Naturally, once he recovered, the first thing he did was smoke an enormous crack hit. Dave praises the voicemail and thanks JD for consistently contributing incredible stories to the show. Dave then dives into Patreon and Spotify comments responding to last week's controversial Blake Mycoskie episode. Listeners debate rich-guy recovery, psychedelic therapy, AI therapy, polo, founder culture, and whether wealthy people talking about depression is relatable to the average Dopey listener. Some commenters defend the episode and appreciate hearing about mental health and self-worth, while others say they turned it off the moment Blake started discussing AI therapy or learning polo in Argentina. Dave jokes that people should blame John Bukaty for bringing in “woo-woo guests,” but still says he genuinely liked Blake and appreciated trying something different. The comment section also leads to discussions about recovery, privilege, treatment access, government responsibility for addiction, and Dave's ongoing balancing act between growing Dopey and maintaining authenticity. Dave also reads a moving Spotify comment from a listener celebrating 120 days clean after a devastating relapse that nearly destroyed his marriage and relationship with his child. Other listeners compliment Dave's podcasting skills, compare his intros to Marc Maron, and joke about Tesla AI therapy and rich recovery people. Dave also contemplates launching a higher Patreon tier with an exclusive Zoom while openly joking about his “cynical cash grab” tendencies and his need to support his family. The centerpiece of the episode is Dave's long conversation with Skinny Vinny inside Steve-O's Wild Ride podcast van in Sherman Oaks, California. The interview covers almost every phase of Vinny's chaotic life story. Vinny explains how the Wild Ride podcast went on hiatus after backlash surrounding a sarcastic Steve-O clip from an episode with Harlan Williams that got taken out of context online. Vinny talks openly about Steve-O's sensitivity, internet outrage culture, and the emotional toll of constant public criticism. The conversation then shifts into Vinny's upbringing in Connecticut and his lifelong obsession with Jackass. Vinny tells the story of being a kid with a camera glued to his hand, idolizing Bam Margera and Jeff Tremaine, and eventually convincing Bam to punch him in the face at a skate shop signing when he was a teenager. Dave and Vinny reminisce about old Jackass dreams eventually becoming reality years later through recovery and content creation. Vinny dives deep into his addiction history, including following Phish and Bob Weir tours while constantly inhaling nitrous balloons in parking lots, discovering Silk Road drug markets in Vermont, and eventually falling into severe heroin addiction. He recounts horrifying years living in Vermont, where heroin was outrageously expensive, and where he watched his girlfriend overdose in front of her parents after both of them desperately tried to detox using kratom. Vinny also describes his obsession with needles, famously saying, “If I could rig it, I could dig it,” while discussing shooting heroin and eventually shooting liquid LSD purchased from Silk Road. One of the darkest sections of the interview involves Vinny describing his infamous “porta potty bottom.” After burning every bridge and alienating everyone in his life, Vinny ended up secretly living inside a handicapped-sized porta potty in Connecticut while hustling to survive. He explains his daily routine of waking up at sunrise, hiding blankets in bushes, charging his Obama phone at Dunkin Donuts, stealing energy drinks from grocery stores, selling them to bodegas, buying heroin and crack, and repeating the cycle endlessly. Dave and Vinny talk about the terrifying comfort that comes with fully accepting life as a hopeless junkie. Vinny also recounts his arrest, jail sentence, and the legendary “prison pocket” story. Knowing he had to turn himself in, Vinny literally trained his body to smuggle heroin, Xanax, rolling tobacco, papers, and even needles into jail. He explains how he eventually ran out of drugs behind bars and suffered brutally through withdrawal on the top bunk in jail while promising himself he'd never use again — only to get released and immediately return to hustling and heroin. The interview takes a more hopeful turn as Vinny explains how recovery unexpectedly transformed his life. He talks about meeting Zackass in sober living, becoming indispensable behind the camera, eventually becoming a co-host, and later joining Steve-O's Wild Ride. Vinny describes feeling like recovery gave him the exact life he fantasized about as a kid obsessed with Jackass culture. Dave and Vinny repeatedly discuss the strange intersection of manifestation, luck, spirituality, showing up, and being willing to work hard without getting high. Later in the interview, Vinny opens up emotionally about his failed marriage to a Canadian woman, the devastating heartbreak that followed, and the depression that nearly broke him. He describes locking himself in his apartment for 45 days, barely eating, crying himself to sleep, and seriously considering drinking despite years of sobriety. Instead of relapsing, Vinny redirected all of his pain into fitness, weight loss, and self-improvement. He explains how discovering peptides, returning to the gym, diving back into recovery meetings and service work, and focusing entirely on himself ultimately helped him lose over 200 pounds and completely transform his life. The episode ends with Vinny discussing his plans to open a sober living house called The Comeback with a former client from his early recovery days. Dave and Vinny also joke about Canadians, Dopeywood structure problems, podcasting, body dysmorphia, fear dreams, and the strange reality of surviving addiction long enough to accidentally build a meaningful life. Dave closes the episode asking listeners yet again to buy film festival tickets, join Patreon, leave Spotify comments, send voicemails, and stay involved in the Dopey community before ending, as always, with “Stay strong Dopey Nation and fucking toodles for Chris.” Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Journey back to Disneyland's early decades through postcards filled with personal memories, vintage stamps, and Main Street history. This episode begins with a 1959 ride aboard Casey Jr. Circus Train as a postcard sender describes warm California weather, busy travel plans, and a magical trip through Storybook Land. Along the way, we explore the life and work of Disney artist and Imagineer Bruce Bushman, whose designs helped shape Fantasyland classics including Casey Jr., the Mad Tea Party, Monstro the Whale, and the Peter Pan pirate ships. The second postcard transports us to 1969 with the Disneyland Band performing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. That card leads into the story of Disney Legend Don Dagradi—artist, writer, and collaborator on attractions like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, as well as beloved Disney films including Lady and the Tramp and Mary Poppins. Together, Bushman and Dagradi share one of Disneyland's iconic Main Street windows above the Market House. Finally, an incoming postcard featuring Space Mountain at night brings the episode into the modern era with a humorous travel mishap, Disney mail memories, and a look at the USPS frozen treats scratch-and-sniff stamp. In this episode of the ZenRUN Podcast, I catch up with the very entertaining, very thoughtful, and very honest Warren Page after his first ever Delirious WEST 100-mile finish. Warren came into the race with a meticulous training plan, a sports nutrition background, a huge support crew… and absolutely no idea just how much the event would challenge him mentally and emotionally. What unfolds is an incredible story of resilience, self-discovery, hallucinations, dirt naps, near-snake disasters, frozen aid stations, soul brothers on trail, and learning that sometimes the biggest battle isn't your body… it's your own expectations. We talk about: What it's really like to prepare for a 100-mile ultra while juggling work, family, life and training Why Warren believes strength training was a huge part of his success The importance of crew support and how his wife Emma became the ultimate crew chief The emotional rollercoaster of spending too long at aid stations and mentally “chasing time” Running through the night with hallucinations, loneliness and sleep deprivation Dirt naps, cold mornings and the magical sunrise leaving Cozy Corner Getting completely lost on the beach after Cozy Corner and nearly breaking down emotionally The terrifying moment Warren almost landed on a deadly dugite snake mid-stride Why ultra running completely levels the playing field and proves that runners don't need to “look” a certain way The strange emotional comedown after finishing a huge event Why he's already planning his return to Delirious next year There are also SO many great little insights and tips sprinkled throughout this conversation, including: Don't underestimate how much time aid stations can steal from you Change socks and look after your feet early and often Tiny dirt naps can completely reset your brain Pacing and crew support at night can make a massive difference Your fueling strategy matters enormously - especially late in the race when decision fatigue kicks in Training consistency over many months matters more than hero sessions Big goals are built through “small masterpieces” - one session, one rep, one run at a time But honestly… this episode is bigger than just ultra running. It's about identity. It's about resilience. It's about what happens when ordinary people decide to attempt extraordinary things. And Warren shares all of it with humour, honesty and zero ego. Such a fun conversation.

Given the surge in silver prices, you might assume that silver demand was strong last year. It wasn't. In fact, demand fell slightly. So, how in the world did silver explode to record highs? In this episode of the Midweek Memo podcast, host Mike Maharrey digs deep into the recently released silver market data for 2025, explaining exactly what drove silver prices higher and why there is still plenty of upside remaining. He also shares some gold news that would have sounded ridiculous just a few years ago.
After a year-long break, the Thrive Through and Beyond Cancer podcast is back with a fresh start, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome you! In this episode, I share a deeply personal journey. After losing what we thought was our forever home, my family took a leap of faith, buying one-way tickets to Mexico. What started as a temporary pit stop turned into a life-changing experience. We found healing, community, and joy in a beautiful, humbling place that gave us a new perspective on life. I also talk about the incredible legacy of Kim Schuette, founder of Biodynamic Wellness. Kim guided me through some of our family's toughest moments — from our daughter's adoption to my son's cancer recovery. Now, as the new owners of her practice, I am honored to continue her work. On April 1st, 2025, Biodynamic Wellness officially became ours, and we're ready to continue her legacy in a powerful new way. Finally, I discuss some concerning trends I'm seeing in my practice: mycotoxin exposure in cancer patients, active gut infections in remission, and persistent metabolic dysfunction. These are important issues we can't afford to ignore on the road to healing. Send us Fan MailAre we headed for a “wild ride” this year, or just the usual chaos with a new label? We kick things off from our hidden studio in Southern Illinois with the kind of talk everyone can relate to: spring weather that can't make up its mind. Then we zoom out to the big climate headline driving the conversation, as NOAA signals the La Nina pattern has ended and El Nino may develop later this year. We unpack what that shift can mean in real terms, including the possibility of a stronger warming pattern, hotter seasons, and ripple effects that could shape hurricane season in both the Atlantic and Pacific. After that, we run a fast, listener-friendly “weather around the world” check. You'll hear current conditions like humidity, wind, pressure, and air quality from places like Phoenix, Spokane, Australia, and a surprise stop in Beijing. That Beijing report hits differently, with unhealthy air quality and low visibility that make you appreciate clean air in a new way. We also drop our seven-day earthquake report with totals across magnitudes, call out a notable 5.7 near Silver Springs, Nevada, and share why even a “low week” still deserves attention. Then we pivot into space weather: a coronal hole facing Earth could send high-speed solar wind our way with potential G2 geomagnetic storms, lining up with dark new-moon skies for aurora viewing. We even shout out a photo that captures Starlink satellites in the same frame, raising a real question about how much is too much. We wrap with a Supreme Court ruling on internet providers and piracy, plus ways to support the show. Subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review, then tell us what the weather is doing where you are.Support the show I hope you enjoy the show! Hey — welcome back to Liquid Late Nights. In this episode we take a comfy, slightly tipsy stroll through tech history: Apple's messy, brilliant rise from a garage startup to the company that changed phones, music, and how we live. We chat about Steve Jobs' exile and comeback, the iPod and iPhone revolutions, napster-era chaos, and how phones stole the world from once-mighty brands like Blackberry and Motorola. We also geek out a bit on NASA's Artemis mission, share some personal tech nostalgia, and laugh about the wild stuff people did before smartphones were everywhere. Stick around — it's like catching up with an old friend who remembers when phones had antennas and music came on CDs.

In this episode of Tangent Station, hosts Kev and Whiz Bang dive into the bizarre story of Nicolette Keough from Florida. Keough turned a cozy Airbnb into a chaotic scene, allegedly leaving behind thousands of dollars in damages. Her stay was more than just a simple visit; it became a spectacle fit for an adult content site. The episode humorously explores the series of misfortunate events, including the impact on various household items and the concept of converting an Airbnb into an art form. Airbnb's response and the fallout for Keough become a key focus of this entertaining discussion.

#839 What if the secret to building a nine-figure brand isn't more people — but more scrappy, strategic thinking? In this episode hosted by Kirsten Tyrrel, we sit down with Will Nitze, founder of IQBAR, to unpack the gritty, unconventional journey from his kitchen R&D experiments to building a nine-figure nutrition brand. Just to get you up to speed on oil prices: Brent Crude is at $92 a barrel this morning. Yesterday morning, it was at $117. While prices have dipped, they're still higher than they were before the Middle East war began. That means more money for oil producers. So will domestic producers use that extra cash to drill more? Also: the latest in Anthropic's dispute with the Pentagon and what to make of last year's big jump in product recalls.
In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Wall Street was a rocky road on Monday as oil prices brought a great fluctuation in the markets as well as President Trump indicating a near end to the Iran war. Those moves mark an impressive turnaround from the losses seen earlier in the day. The Dow was down nearly 900 points at its session low before rallying over 200 points at the closing bell. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell as much as 1.5% each. Also in light of the war, should the DHS remain unfunded, the irony of NYC voters electing a man that's sympathetic to the 9/11 terrorists and Democratic strategist James Carville finally loses his mind by unloading on President Donald Trump in a profanity-laced rant, admitting that he has "Trump Derangement Syndrome" and hopes to hate the president even more. Also the National Parks Service to restore fireworks to Mt. Rushmore on July 4th and audio from David Spade's podcast with Dana Carvey. For more talk on the issues that matter to you, listen on radio stations across America Monday-Friday 12am-5am CT (1am-6am ET and 10pm-3am PT), download the RED EYE RADIO SHOW app, asking your smart speaker, or listening at RedEyeRadioShow.com. Mens Room Question: What do you or did you need to get through your day?
One day after the Dow tumbled more than 1,200 points before closing down 400, Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and Faber discussed stocks trying to bounce back from this week's heavy selling due to the Iran conflict — including the South Korean Kospi's record one-day decline of 12% in Wednesday's trading. You also have gasoline and diesel prices spiking this week amid Middle East tensions. Hear what Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told CNBC about crude market supply. Also in focus: CrowdStrike's earnings beat, Blackstone President Jon Gray on private credit and "this disjointed environment," AI roundup — including why Bessent is slamming Anthropic for "very bad behavior." Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and David Faber delved into Nvidia's blowout quarter and upbeat guidance fueled by the AI boom — plus why the stock swung into negative territory at the opening bell. It was a different story for Salesforce, which posted better-than-expected Q4 results and erased its pre-market losses at the open. The CEOs of both companies spoke to CNBC: Nvidia's Jensen Huang on what the market got "wrong" — and Salesforce's Marc Benioff on the "SaaS-pocalypse" that has sent shares of the company and its software rivals tumbling. Also in focus: Snowflake heats up, the earnings chapter in the battle for Warner Bros. Discovery, the automaker that posted its first-ever annual loss, robots in China. Listen without ads at:www.patreon.com/dopeypodcastThis Week on The Wednesday Dose of Dopey!Dave kicks off this Wednesday Dose solo from his dad's house, riffing on nostalgic broke-addict snacks (Little Debbie oatmeal pies as cheap highs) and weird fridge finds, before diving into fan Spotify comments praising last week's emotional Erin Khar episode. He shares wild Miles Davis coke-paranoia excerpts from the autobiography (Ferrari abandonment, trash-room hiding, dealer tricks), and recommending Kind of Blue and In a Silent Way as sick sick records! Then we welcome Sandra Vergara (Selling Sunset star, Sofia Vergara's cousin/sister-figure). Sandra opens up about a traumatic Colombian childhood: brother's murder at age 9, raised by an aunt after her bio-mom's brain damage left her mentally stuck at 12, feeling like a "burden," early glue-sniffing experiment, near-fatal ruptured appendix/septic shock at 16, and constant walking-on-eggshells survival via art, empathy, and never taking abuse personally. In LA from 18, she dabbled in makeup/acting (Fright Night), when she began drinking heavy. Blackouts, self-harm (throwing herself through glass), and suicide ideation. followed. First rehab in Medellín (befriended staff for special treatment → false security). Post-rehab: mushrooms sparked a "psychedelic love" fling, ayahuasca faced childhood trauma head-on, but led to half-assed AA and relapses.COVID alone-time in NYC brought painting growth, but cat Stewie's death (worse than losing family) plunged her into deep depression. Enter ketamine: started therapeutic (Mindbloom) but escalated to daily K-holes with Oculus VR for near-death/grief escapes, addictive Journey Circle weekends (MDMA/ayahuasca/mushrooms group catharsis without integration), erratic calls to mom, club blackouts, and cousin finding her passed out. Family intervention (Sophia pays, nephew packs her) lands her in trauma-focused Breathe Life rehab. She firmly rejects "California sober" as a trap—psychedelics delayed real surrender for her; true addicts can't substitute one mind-alter for another. Full AA commitment (no more a la carte) + Kabbalah (post-breakup desperation) changed everything: tikkun (soul correction via tough life choices), turning reactive impulses (anger/gossip) into proactive restriction, daily study/meditation for frequency shifts. Ties Kabbalah to quantum physics (observer effect = perception shapes reality, entanglement = we're all connected, certainty in the unknown = surrender).Sandra discusses Selling Sunset challenges (producer manipulation, ego, glamour vs. spiritual presence) and her new neuroscience/IFS/Kabbalah coaching for holistic recovery (mind stories, body regulation, spirit alignment). All that and much more on the brand new episode of that good old dopey show! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
