Christy Kinard, an internationally collected artist, describes her work as a vibrant symphony of American life.Flowers are the central theme in her artwork, influenced by the presence of fresh bouquets in her childhood home. She relates the boldness of her work to the strength and creativity of American women. Christy Kinard's passion for art began early in life, leading her to study and pursue a career in painting. She also had the opportunity to live and paint in England, where exposure to museums and galleries influenced her work. Christy Kinard is grateful to have turned her passion into a full-time career.
A lifelong creative, and now a self-taught painter, Pamela's expressive and intuitive abstract work is a translation of all that surrounds her; the nature of the New Hampshire Seacoast area where she grew up and lives, and the small moments that make life beautiful. The forms, lines, textures, and colors in her work may evoke Sunset Meadows (across from her home studio, the mystery of the North Atlantic, or the laughter, love and joie de vivre that linger and are woven into every layer. From Kimberly Grigg Designs: “I grew up in a small southern town called Graniteville “on the other side of the tracks.” But, I always aspired to the good life and knowing what luxurious beautiful homes were all about. So, one day, I climbed a fence to attend a debutante party (that I wasn't invited to!) just so I could get a peak at my all time favorite “wealthy” home atop the hill on the “right side of town!” It was then my love of interior design was born. In my spare time I can be found painting every morning, binging on Netflix, enjoying my kids and grandkids, cooking up a storm, walking my giant standard poodles Ivan and Alfred and shaking it down 4 days a week at my local boot camp.” https://www.kimberlygriggdesigns.com You can find her Kimberly's art here: https://kimberlygriggart.myshopify.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theartistspool/message
From Cari Ray's website: When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older and life got busier, I lost my connection to the arts. At the age of 51, I decided to try and rekindle our love affair. Enter Cari Ray Paints. My true passion. My soul fulfilling 'hobby'. I hope you'll enjoy it with me. Take my online course - Amateur to Earning Artist in 60 Days to do your own original paintings and make MONEY! I use many different mediums, such as gouache, acrylics, inks, markers and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Take my online course - Amateur to Earning Artist in 60 Days to do your own original paintings and earn extra income! I enjoy the beauty and simplicity of things in my every day life. Things that bring me joy and spark positivity when I see them. Beautiful skies, a nice view from a window (or a patio if the weather cooperates), bright colors in clothing or designs in my home just to name a few. All of my pieces are directly influenced by these things and so much more. I love creating things with bold and vibrant colors that evoke feelings of joy and light. I enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and family. My pieces are influenced by so many experiences and my joy of living. It is my wish that this translates to the viewer. am an abstract painter that works from intuition and emotion. I strive to create one-of-a-kind paintings, every one containing a piece of my world and life experiences. Karen is a second generation artist based out of Germantown, Tennessee, but born and raised a Texan. Painting, for her, began as an outlet for healing, and quickly turned into a life necessity. Each one of her pieces is a work of love, full of individuality and personality. She works primarily in acrylic, often including oil, oil pastel, inks, and/or handmade papers. Her love of color is apparent throughout her abstract works. "While some artists start off with a plan and don't stray, I let the colors and tools do the talking and guide me through the process. I've always tried to listen to my intuition, and it's no different with my art. I'm attracted to, and inspired by, the 'imperfect'. It's so fulfilling to have people connect with something that is so personal to me." www.karenradiloff.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theartistspool/message

Her art and design passion developed into a lifestyle brand of textiles, wallpaper, clothing, and home accessories. She has a degree in Interior Design and has studied under artist Andy Braitman in studio painting. Her series of abstract portraits of women she calls Chicas has taken on a life of their own. “That is the power of energy in the creative process!” Windy's Chicas represent the intricacies, humor, strength, and power of women. Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Beth Rose of Beth Rose Photography. We took a deep dive into what it means to live out your faith in your chosen profession. My husband calls me Hummingbird because I am hyper - I suppose - and I eat a lot. It started before I would date him when he was trying to catch me; he said one day I would have to land. Now five children and a little over a decade later, I have. But still only for moments. I've been a photographer for over 20 years. I started with film and in the darkroom. There are so many things inherent in film - an honesty that comes with the limits of it. That honesty is what I value in photography. Looking at a painting, you can question how much of it came from the artist's imagination and how much is real. Photography is different. If you see it, it happened. While I work toward perfection in skill, I don't shoot for the perfection of my subjects and the moments they exist in, I shoot for authenticity. https://www.bethrose.com/bethrose --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-salt/message
www.peggyreevesart.com Soft, peaceful, textured, and dramatic are often a few of the eclectic words that have described my work. With each piece taking on its own message inspired by a deep faith, songs of inspiration and a desire to express hope, I continue to share my voice through the expression of creating. I've always had a deep need and hunger to create, one that consistently found ways to be filled. In fact, I've often described myself as an "Eclectic Freelance Artist”, with experience in various types of creative contract work like graphic design, faux painting, interior design, writing, speaking and singing. These are all creative experiences that find their way into my art. So, with a long time curiosity to express my creativity on canvas, a Facebook posting for a local art class caught my attention and I finally took the initiative. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with the unlimited possibilities in painting. Now, It seems only natural that my creative energy can be fulfilled in one location...a CANVAS!!! As an artist, I continue to hone my craft through art courses, studying art and the business, and spending endless hours painting.....and painting. It has truly become my passion and a way to express my creativity, my love for design, and most of all my love for the Master Creator, GOD! My studio and home is in Franklin, TN with my husband Tom and our dog London. I am the proud mom of two children, both married and now blessed to be “Queenie” to six grand kids. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-salt/message
Join me today as I interview artist, Gina Foose. Instagram is @ginafooseart Gina was raised in the heart of the south in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. It was there her love for art began in middle school when a friend showed her how to draw a female face and smudge lead for shading which resulted in a deep heart connection. That experience lead to a life lived connecting to others through creativity in the forms of photography and interior and garden design. In 2013, her passion for creative adventure led her to brush and canvas. She sought training with Milan Art Institute through their Mastery Program and began creating fine art as a full time career. Her work is inspired by her relationship with her Creator and His creation. A strong connectedness to that is felt as she paints using acrylic paint, strong mark making, spray paint, stencil and crayon. She enjoys a loose and drippy process with fun color that expresses joy and whole-heartedness. Her work has been described as liberating, instilling hope and filling the desire for happiness planted deeply in the human heart by God. She paints in her home studio in Lexington, SC where she currently resides with Jeff, her husband of 30 years and their sweet cockapoos, Willow and Maddie. The connection to others that art brings is why Gina says she continues to paint prolifically today. Her most current work, Faces, Figures & Flowers, is abstract and impressionistic in style. It reflects a simple eternal beauty and is influenced by her love of gardening, especially using cut flowers to bring life and color indoors. Her work is represented in galleries and boutiques in South Carolina and Alabama and collected across the US. The Gallery - Newberry, SC Hello Gallery - Fairhope, AL Statement Every good gift is from above! My art journey has been such a gift and a vehicle to connect with others on our deepest level as the pinnacle of God's Creation. It is with much joy that I paint and express myself while listening to music that fills my soul and using fun material in a loose and simple creative process. I hope you are encouraged by my work to know your Creator's original and beautiful intention in creating you! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/good-salt/message
Join me as I talk with my friend and sister in Christ, artist, Brande Wilkerson. Raised by an accomplished art instructor, Brande's creative journey was built with a solid understanding of the arts. She attended a year of college at CBC Conway but was challenged financially during that time and had to step away. When she opened her online vintage boutique in 1999, Victory Vintage Boutique, she discovered fashions with delicate handmade details that were in need of a new life. The need to give new life to vintage heirlooms naturally led her into her own design line. Her business flourished and eventually turned into her own costume design business. She developed skills in fashion and beauty photography during this time and worked alongside many well-known designers and photographers. This season of experience in millinery & costume design led to the evolution of craft in the arts. From costume & headgears to installation art & painting, Brande's work is recognizable no matter the medium. She is self-taught (by infusion of heritage) in multidisciplinary mediums of paper art, construction sculpture technique, assemblage, mural design, concept development, painting, multi-sensory, installation art and more.
