When my goldendoodle Tucker threw up on my brand new living room rug within 24 hours of installing it, I learned firsthand what works and what doesn't when it comes to removing pet stains.  In this episode, I share the exact steps I took to clean it up quickly and effectively, plus a few common mistakes to avoid. You'll hear my favorite products for stain removal—like Folex, Soilove, LA's Totally Awesome, and Capture—and how each one performs on different messes. Whether you're dealing with pet puke, coffee spills, or muddy footprints, this episode will help you rescue your rug and keep it looking (and smelling) fresh.   HOW TO REMOVE PET VOMIT & STAINS FROM YOUR RUG Neutralize the acid.Pet vomit is acidic, so your first step is to neutralize it before trying to clean it. Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 cup of water, then pour or sprinkle the solution over the stained area. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to neutralize the acid and loosen the stain. Scrape and blot. Don't rub!After the baking soda mixture has sat for a bit, gently scrape from the outside of the stain inward using a spoon or dull edge (this prevents spreading). Then, blot the area with paper towels or a clean white cloth to absorb as much moisture as possible. Avoid rubbing, because it can push the stain deeper into the fibers. Treat the stain.Once you've blotted up most of the mess, spray the area generously with Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover. Let it air dry. No need to rinse. Noi credem cu tărie că un mesaj în care Evanghelia si Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu sunt centrale şi expuse autentic, are impact în viaţa ascultătorului.Aşadar, fie că eşti membru într-o biserică sau auzi pentru prima dată un mesaj de genul acesta, avem încredinţarea că dacă-l vei asculta cu seriozitate va fi benefic pentru viaţa ta.Credem cu tărie că Dumnezeul Triunic s-a revelat personal în Scripturi şi deasemena credem că a revelat omului planul Său cu privire la creaţie.De aceea încercăm, în măsura în care am fost înzestraţi de Duhul Sfânt, să transmitem mesaje fidele Scripturii, care afirmă despre ea însăşi, că este singura autoritate, suficientă pentru orice aspect important al vieţii omului. 2Timotei 3:15-17Suntem o comunitate de oameni obişnuiţi, păcătoşi şi imperfecţi dar care prin Harul Lui Dumnezeu, jertfa substitutivă a Domnului Isus de la cruce şi lucrarea tainică a naşterii din nou făcută de Duhul Sfânt, personal în fiecare dintre noi, am fost salvaţi, regeneraţi şi sfinţiţi.Credem deasemenea că suntem făpturi noi locuite şi abilitate de Duhul Sfant să trăiască o viaţă de sfinţenie pentru Gloria Lui Dumnezeu, având onoarea şi responsabilitatea să fim angrenaţi activ în lucrarea de răscumpărare a Lui Dumnezeu.Noi nu pretindem mesaje infailibile, dar pretindem că Biblia este infailibilă; Nu pretindem că avem monopolul Adevărului, dar pretindem că Hristos este "Calea, Adevărul şi Viaţa".De aceea scopul nostru nu este să te inducem în eroare sau să te amăgim, nici să spunem doar ceea ce vrei să auzi, ci este să expunem clar Cuvântul Lui Dumnezeu pentru ca Acesta să producă Credinţă autentică în viaţa omului şi să dea direcţie celor aflaţi deja pe calea sfinţeniei.Știm şi recunoaștem că suntem într-un proces de învățare continuă, astfel identificăm slăbiciuni în ceea ce privește expunerea Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu, pe care cu ajutorul Duhului Sfânt vom incerca să le diminuăm, dar în ciuda acestui neajuns universal valabil tuturor lucrătorilor de pretutindeni, avem certitudinea că preluate de Duhul Sfânt, mesajele noastre bine intenţionate vor fi de folos pentru o lucrare destoinică.Aşa că frate/soră sau prieten/ă drag/ă, dacă asculţi acest mesaj, te rog să inţelegi că Dumnezeu în providenţa Lui a decis să-l asculţi, intr-un scop pe care-L are cu tine personal, dar cu un beneficiu reciproc, probabil spre mântuire, pocăinţă, încurajare, zidire, mustrare, corectare, învăţare.Te încurajăm să ne contactezi (bisericaradiant.ro/) şi să ne spui cum ţi-a vorbit acest mesaj.

  Hooked rugs are humble things made of recycled cloth and worn out textiles, originally born of need and lack: and yet they have come to mean much more to the communities that produced and enjoyed them. In America they have become an emblem of homespun pioneer thrift and self-reliance and an important element in the definition of a certain kind of national values.   Handmade hooked rugs are the stuff of everyday life, but in Canada they became a vital form of income for impoverished seafaring families in Labrador and Newfoundland. I made a red scarf for the deer to wear this holiday. Including fringe, the scarf is about 9' long. Socks: Using Red Heart Heart and Sole in colorway Black Jack. Finished first sock and knitting on leg of the second sock. Mountain High: Heidi Kirrmaier. Using my handspun Flowers From My Garden. I decided to put the body on waste yarn and knit the sleeves. Of course color work is different because sleeve circumference is smaller than body. Occasionally breaking yarn to manage color. Sheridan Flats Spinning: Purchased 24 oz of 80/15/6 wool/mohair/silk roving in the colorway Kaleidoscope. The owner said to spin at a worsted weight for best results. Mill is Olympic Yarn & Fiber located in Cosmopolis, WA. I've filled two bobbins to date. Rag Rugs: Wound warp for four rag rugs and yesterday started warping loom. Warp will be 4" and 6" stripes in royal blue, green, and orange. Weaving Studio: It's a work in progress.  Kelly's Projects Natural Dyeing Experiments  I started spinning the orange CA Red fiber dyed with toyon that had been steeped for 24 hours.  Spirit Yarn Hat #9 is finished. I did some free style color work with the rest of the white and the bright pink. Made Xs and Os and some border designs.  Solid pink hat #8 and color work hat #9 were both gone in two days.  Finished two chenille rugs. Still have warp, but no more chenille. I need to figure out the best way to use up the remaining warp (weft-faced rug, resley for towels?) and then make more chenille for more of these rugs.  Started my Sleeveless Vest by Lone Kjeldsen with handspun from Jazzman, "Judith says perfect fleece." I've finished the bottom ribbing, the lateral stitch and I'm a couple inches into the body ribbing. Home-A-Long October 1st to December 31st Make a home decor item in your craft of choice…knitting, crocheting, weaving, or any way "you can think of to play with string." Recent ideas: pumpkins in the bundle, lots of gnomes in the thread, two Lindas in PA are both making Christmas ornaments, and Autumn is making a bunting with swatches. WEFT magazine has a whole issue out devoted to items for the table.  Winter Weave-a-long Now through March 31

Fiber artist Mary Anne Wise first went to Guatemala hoping to collect local textiles and inspire her own practice. Just one visit wasn't enough, and she visited several more times, eventually offering a class in rug hooking to local women artisans. Although the women didn't have a rug-hooking tradition, they did have abundant material: tons of tee shirts from “donations” that are often shipped to the area, discarded, and burned. After the success of that first class, the idea of creating a cottage industry that would benefit women throughout Guatemala took hold. Called Multicolores, the project is now a nonprofit organization officially recognized in Guatemala. The women join the program to support their families and improve their living conditions. And although many of them cannot read or write, all have something to say through the work of their hands. Mary Anne developed a curriculum of design principles that helped the women market their work in the international market. Although some are also weavers, not all of the women were producing textiles before joining the program. Drawing on family stories and cultural influences as well as their own imaginations, they design hooked rugs and other pieces that find their way to buyers around the world. Mary Anne and her coauthor, Cheryl Conway-Daly, told the story of Multicolores in a book, Rug Money. In the United States, drawing on their love of fabric and experience in interior design, Mary Anne and a friend decided to start a home goods shop specializing in artisan cloth. Based in Wisconsin, Cultural Cloth offers the handwork of artisans not only from Multicolores but from 30 countries worldwide. Although they have sold the shop to new owners, Mary Anne continues to work there one day a week . . . and the inspiration for her own fiber art that initially led her to Guatemala has begun to rise again.
