We're back to take stock of one of the biggest bands to explode out of the 1980's as we decide The Best and Worst of Bon Jovi! In this episode, we kick off Part 1 covering every studio album from the self-titled 1984 debut through 2002's Bounce. The goal was simple: each of us picked one favorite and one least favorite track from every album — no live albums, no compilations — and let the arguments fall where they may. We start with Bon Jovi and 7800° Fahrenheit. These 2 first albums straddled the line between AOR vibes, solid riffs, keyboard overkill, and rushed timelines for recording. The discussion revolves around early identity, flashes of future greatness, and whether these records are overlooked gems or simply necessary growing pains. Then it's into the arena-stratosphere era with Slippery When Wet and New Jersey, where a string of hits vaulted the band into stadiums and MTV dominance. We examine whether the massive singles define the albums or overshadow deeper cuts. The early '90s shift begins with Keep the Faith, marking a reinvention in the grunge era, and continues with the darker, more introspective These Days. These records sparked some of the most interesting debate: growth vs accessibility, musicianship vs hooks, and whether deeper cuts like “Dry County” outshine the radio staples. We wrap Part 1 with the comeback of Crush and the post-9/11 tone of Bounce. We hope you enjoy The Best and Worst of Bon Jovi Part 1 and SHARE with a friend! DJ Bully B Essence of Soul 100% Independent Music Live! Thursday Bounce 26-2-26If listening to hip-hop while you dance around your bedroom in lingerie is something that makes your soul happy and you're making the time to do it, that is self-care. If you get a babysitter and go out drinking with your girlfriends, something that you rarely get to do, that is also self-care. It doesn't have to look like what you see in the magazines or blogs. It doesn't have to fit any sort of lifestyle. As long as it's truly nourishing and good for your soul. Do what makes you happy.

This week, Justin chats with Darren Foldes, Partner and Head of Films at Sibling Rivalry, an integrated creative company based in New York and Los Angeles.Darren discusses his path to Sibling Rivalry, all the way from growing up around New York City with a father who worked as a cameraman for ABC Channel 7 News, to taking a paid internship in Los Angeles, co-writing and producing kids films for MGM, and then leaving the feature/TV world to make the switch to advertising and working as an Executive Producer. A major theme that Darren shares is how great work emerges from collective spontaneity, happy accidents, and creating an egalitarian, psychologically safe environment where the best idea wins. This one is a rhythm. From the overflow of Sunday worship to the weight of Monday through midweek fatigue into Friday gratitude and right back to Sunday again. These 10 records are intentional. Joy. Encouragement. Bounce. Reflection. Belief. Press play in the car. Press play while you clean. Press play when you need perspective. Press play when you need to remember who's in control. The Supreme Court just kneecapped Trump's "tariffs by emergency" strategy, and Nate and Chuck break down why that's actually a huge win for limiting presidential power. They dig into the scary argument hiding underneath it: if "regulate" secretly means "tax," then any president can invent arbitrary taxes across the entire federal regulatory state. Not great when the next "emergency" is climate, guns, or whatever cable news is screaming about. Then the show pivots to the MAGA vs MAHA fracture over glyphosate and Roundup. An executive order, a farm bill immunity push, and the ugly Monsanto paper trail that explains why people don't trust "the experts." Plus: Seattle's gig worker pay law backfires, California ships gas on a bizarre Bahamas loophole because of the Jones Act, and the low-IQ smears aimed at Thomas Massie heat up. 00:00 Welcome 01:14 SCOTUS Strikes Trump's IEEPA Tariffs: What the Ruling Actually Means 04:24 Regulate vs Tax: Why Tariffs Are Congress's Job (and Why It Matters) 12:06 Loopholes, Fees, and the Slippery Slope for Future Presidents 19:25 Kavanaugh's Dissent: The Roadmap to Tariffs via Other Statutes 21:42 Refunds, Market Reaction, and the Left's Mixed Incentives 24:01 MAGA vs MAHA: Glyphosate/Roundup, DPA EO, and Farm Bill Immunity 30:32 Monsanto Papers: Ghostwritten Science, Emails, and Lawsuit Fallout 36:00 Dumb Democrats: 'Nobody Called Trump Hitler/Racist' and Newsom's Spin 40:28 Newsom's 'Historically Illiterate' Claim & the Dyslexia Victim Card 41:39 AOC's Accent Switch + Venezuela 'Below the Equator' Fact-Check 44:39 Bill Maher's CO2 vs CO Mix-Up (and the Smug Delivery) 47:34 Too Many 'Dumb' Clips: Submissions Overload & Charlie Has to Bounce 49:16 Seattle Gig-Worker Minimum Pay Law Backfires: Higher Base, Lower Tips 55:40 California Gas Prices, Bahamas Detour & Why the Jones Act Makes It Worse 01:01:52 Twitter Files Fallout: DOJ/FBI Payments to X Kept Secret in Court 01:04:39 Defending Thomas Massie: 'Voting With Democrats' and 'Team Player' Attacks
Michael Reinking, NYSE Senior Market Strategist, recaps a volatile holiday‑shortened week marked by easing inflation and shifting market tone. Softer CPI readings pushed yields to multi‑month lows, while the S&P 500 churned between key moving averages amid options‑driven swings. AI‑related selling showed early signs of thawing, even as geopolitical tensions—especially around Iran—kept oil prices elevated. Economic data remained resilient, highlighted by strong capital goods orders and lower jobless claims. With GDP, PMIs, and major tech earnings on deck, investors head into next week cautiously optimistic but alert to global risks.

Markets tested the 100-day moving average (100-DMA) and buyers stepped in—exactly where many systematic and algorithmic strategies tend to respond. Futures are pointing higher this morning, but that doesn't automatically mean the selloff is finished. Momentum remains weak and the market is still on a sell signal, which often sets up a choppy, range-bound environment without a clear catalyst. We also discuss why "chasing winners" can get dangerous late in an extended run—highlighted by Walmart's sharp drop after a strong advance. In commodities, crude oil is trying to stabilize, but remains on a sell signal at elevated levels. If support near ~$62 fails, the next downside zone could pull oil into the mid-to-high $50s—potentially helping inflation prints while pressuring Energy stocks. Energy sector momentum is stretched and nearing a sell signal from a high level. If you've been riding Energy higher, this may be a prudent window to rebalance risk and harvest gains—rather than waiting for the market to do it for you. Why This Episode Matters:Modern music makes it easy to confuse polish with substance. In this episode, Moo Latte breaks down why musical ideas, not production techniques, are still the core of work that lasts. From deep listening and sketch-based workflows to creative restraint and long-term sustainability, this conversation reframes productivity, taste, and originality for producers navigating an increasingly automated landscape.Who is Moo Latte:Moo Latte is a producer, guitarist, and composer known for emotionally rich compositions that sit somewhere between jazz, soul, hip-hop, and cinematic music. With a background in formal music study and years of production experience, his work emphasizes harmony, movement, and intention over trends. What We Dive Into:* Why modern music often relies more on production than composition* Deep listening as a skill and how it shapes taste over time* Starting ideas away from the computer* Singing melodies before choosing instruments* Call and response as an underused compositional tool* Why constraints unlock creativity* Short, timed sketch sessions as an idea engine* Objectivity through distance and bouncing early* Content creation burnout and sustainable output* Why relying too heavily on AI weakens creative problem-solvingThree Key Takeaways:* Strong ideas survive without sound design: If a song doesn't work when stripped down to melody and harmony, production won't save it.* Constraints create clarity: Limiting instruments, time, and options reduces decision fatigue and sharpens creative intent.* Creativity is a muscle, not a shortcut: Outsourcing thinking weakens long-term growth. The work is the point. Before You Go:Try this for your next session: set a 20-minute timer. Choose a fixed set of instruments. Finish when the timer ends. Bounce it. Don't judge it. Repeat.Over time, quantity becomes quality.Chapters:0:00 – Intro1:42 – Moo Latte's background and musical roots6:18 – Composition vs production11:04 – Deep listening and developing taste16:27 – Singing ideas before producing22:10 – Harmony, movement, and emotional intent28:55 – Call and response in composition34:41 – Sketching ideas quickly40:12 – Objectivity through distance and bouncing early45:58 – Finishing vs overworking51:36 – Content creation and creative burnout57:44 – Sustainable routines and creative longevity1:03:22 – Constraints as a creative tool1:09:48 – Training the creative muscle1:16:30 – AI, tools, and creative responsibility1:23:55 – Quick hits1:31:40 – Final reflections1:34:50 – OutroList of References from the Interview:Artists* J Dilla* The Beatles* BadBadNotGood* Robert GlasperTools / Concepts* Timed sketch sessions* Call and response* Deep listening* Constraint-based creativityConnect with Moo Latte:* YouTube: @moolattemusic* Instagram: @moolattemusic* Spotify: Moo Latte* Apple Music: Moo LatteConnect with Toru:* Website: torubeat.com* Instagram: @torubeat* YouTube: @torubeat* Spotify: Toru* Apple Music: ToruCredits:This episode was co-produced, engineered and edited by Matthew Diaz.
