The obstacle to following Jesus is often fullness — a life so arranged around visible goods that Jesus cannot be seen clearly enough to be worth more than all of them. The tragedy of the rich man is that he accepted a substitute grace and lost the appetite for the real thing.

By washing his disciples' feet, Jesus transformed their understanding of love and service. Following Jesus involves receiving this love and also loving and serving others with humility as he did to us

What does it mean to live out God's calling? This message explores the three-fold calling of the Christian life—the Church's CALLING, your life's Calling, and the daily calling of faithfulness—as we learn how God gives direction to the life He has entrusted to us.

As we continue our 2026 theme, I Will Follow, today's message explores what it means to steward what Jesus places in our hands. Stewardship is living faithfully with what God has entrusted to us — not just financially, but in every arena of life. Secure in Christ, we learn to live as entrusted, not as owners.

This week, we're joined by Pastor Bobae Lee. Bobae has previously served NMPC as the Education Pastor. She has since gone on missions to Korea and served in other capacities, as well. We're thankful to be joined by a friend to our ministry!

Any journey of following Jesus involves knowing his voice—and in knowing his voice, we come to know his heart, his way, and his will.

This week, in-person service is cancelled. Instead, we'll gathering for an online service. We're thankful for our friend Jeff Hutchinson who has agreed to give us a video message in place of an in-person sermon. Stay safe everyone!

How can we follow if we do not trust the one who leads us? The Christian faith is not blind. Trust has its firm foundation in the One who is faithful. It hopes in the future based on the promises fulfilled in the past.

This Sunday, we launch our theme for the year, I Will Follow. In Matthew 4, when Jesus calls his first disciples, he doesn't desire more busyness. Instead he calls them into deeper discipleship.

This week we are joined by special guest speaker, Rev. Do Hee Kim!

Session #4 from our recent NMPC Fall Retreat.

Christ comes in a material body and despises the shame.

Session #3 from our recent NMPC Fall Retreat.

At the heart of Advent is the idea of waiting -- Christ arrived after much waiting. What does the arrival of Jesus teach us about waiting?

Session #2 from our recent NMPC Fall Retreat

Christ came because there is real darkness in this world.

From the first and opening session from our most recent NMPC Fall Retreat.

Pastor Kee and David Kang have a conversation about counseling in the context of the church.

Jesus is God in the flesh. Pastor Kee explores the implications of this truth and how it colors our devotion to Jesus.

Serving isn't just something we do, but how we become more like Jesus. Ultimately, the call is to serve one another in love, letting our hands and hearts reflect the self-giving life of Christ.

We are called to follow Christ. What does that mean?

The teachings of Jesus and the New Testament testify to the necessity of community in the life of a Christian. Pastor Kee explores the reasons why.

God's Word is alive and speaks to every stage of life: childhood, adulthood, and beyond. Through Scripture, God equips all believers, not just pastors, to live out His truth in every season. As we grow together in community, we discover that devotion to Jesus transforms how we live, love, and serve.

It's the start of Community Month here at NMPC! This Sunday we kickoff the month by highlighting our education ministries in family worship, a short message, and a YG video. All are welcome to join!

In these parables, Jesus tells us to count the cost of discipleship. As usual, what Jesus means goes far deeper and accords with reality in ways that surprise us.

This week we continue our series Decoding Devotion. Pastor Kee speaks from Luke 11, "On Prayer."

This week Pastor Kee gives part two of his message "Serious Fruit" which he started last Sunday.

In a combined "pulpit swap" effort with Vibrance Church, we are joined by a special guest speaker, Joel Kim. We're thrilled to be joined by one of ECO's newest church planters and a special friend to many of us here at New Mercy Palisades Church!

Pastor Kee uncovers the meaning behind the parables of the hidden treasure and pearl.

Jesus teaches devotion is childlike at its heart.

We are blessed to be joined by Pastor Esther Yang. Today's passage looks at a vision Jesus gives to John, showing him the multitude of the 144,00—the ones who have remained faithful to Jesus to the end. This vision informs us not only what is to come, but also how we as believers are called to live in discipleship today. We are reminded that as people who belong to the Lamb, we bear the Name of Jesus, that we have been purchased by His blood, and that we are now called to live in purity and worship.

Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit not as virtues to strive for, but as the natural overflow of a life rooted in the Holy Spirit. The Christian life is not about pursuing fruit in our own strength, but about pursuing God Himself. True spiritual fruit grows not from striving, but from abiding.

Simple devotion is also a single-minded devotion. Learn what that means as we look at the life of Jesus.

Toward the end of Jacob's life, he bestows a blessing onto his sons. Two of those blessings are of note: the blessings to both Joseph and Judah.

Christ's descent into death means there is no place, spiritual, emotional or physical, where God cannot meet us, redeem us, and raise us.

How do singles figure into the kingdom of God? (Part 2)

How do singles figure into the kingdom of God?

Consumerism remains a dominant force in contemporary society. But what does it look like when it infiltrates the Church? How do we distinguish consumerism from discipleship?

How do healthy marriages function? Listen to hear what the Bible and statistical data have to say.

In this message, we explore what it means to be simply devoted to Jesus in our spiritual lives. While salvation initiates our life in the Spirit—bringing us from death to life—it is our responsibility to feed and tend that life. True devotion is not driven by feelings or outcomes, but by daily practices that root us in Christ. When we nurture what God has started, our spirit grows strong—regardless of the season.

This week we continue our "360" sermon series on how a life of simple devotion informs every other part of our lives. This week we tackle our emotions and what Jesus has to model for us in the gospels.

God's story injects meaning into our everyday, ordinary, and mundane tasks.

Let us enter God's rest and experience his grace by remembering Jesus's sacrifice.

We are pleased to be joined by a friend of New Mercy Palisades Church! Jeff Hutchinson leads a church plant called House of Mercy, New Haven.

This week we are joined by guests on our Missionary Panel as we continue with our Global Missions series. We are excited to talk about the mission field as well as our place on it. Join us for the blessed conversation!

This week, our guest speaker Jane Lee encourages us to senders AND goers.

Jesus calls us to bring heaven to earth. Missions is one of the main ways Christians are called to do this.
