What happens when God's presence comes into a city? In this conversation, Pastor Jon and Pastor Sam close out our "God Comes Where He's Wanted" series by teaching on the altar of the region. After exploring the altars of the heart, church, and family, we now address what can seem most daunting, moving from personal peace to embracing God's heart for an entire region. Only when we are heartbroken over our city and places will we begin to prayerfully build the altar of our region. We have to keep contending for our region in faith, declaring that we want Him here until He comes.
Joshua 1:5-9 Fear is an emotion that has a lot of power in our lives. Sometimes we may even desire to feel scared! But there can be a fear that is undesirable - fear of financial instability, family crises, health problems. We don't prefer that kind of fear. So, what do we do with fear? And what does God have to say about our fears? Is it a counsel that God gives from afar? Is it simply advice? God had to encourage Joshua when he was fearful. So what did He say? And what can we learn from Joshua's experience with God? We consider those questions as Pastor Sam continues his study in Joshua.
"Every follower of Christ is a Christian, but not every Christian is a follower of Christ."This week, Pastor Sam dives into the heart of the Great Commission and the 21 times Jesus issued the invitation: "Follow me." In an age where we are constantly being "discipled" by social media influencers, political movements, and corporate marketing, this message is a clarion call to reclaim our primary identity as apprentices of Rabbi Jesus. In This Episode, We Discuss:The Two-Tier Church: Why we've created a culture where following Jesus is seen as "extra credit" rather than the baseline for faith. The Identity of a Disciple: Understanding that being a disciple is a noun—an identity—not just a Sunday activity.Intentional vs. Unintentional Formation: How the "cybernetic jungle" of our modern world is forming us into monsters unless we intentionally allow Jesus to form us into His likeness. The Three Goals of an Apprentice:To be with your Rabbi: Making time to practice the presence of God.To become like your Rabbi: Allowing proximity to Jesus to rewrite your neuropathways and character. To do what your Rabbi did: Stepping out in the authority of the Holy Spirit to serve, heal, and love.

One Thing To Ask For | Psalm 27:1-6 | Pastor Sam Kim by GraceChurchNJ
What if the reason you're still standing today isn't because you were strong enough—but because thus far, the Lord has helped you? ABOUT THE MESSAGEIn this message, Pastor Sam Muyaka teaches us that Ebenezer means “stone of help,” a declaration that thus far the Lord has helped us. In 1 Samuel 7, Israel repents, turns back to God, and discovers that even after seasons of fear, failure, and distance, God was still fighting for them. This message invites us to pause and remember: we didn't achieve success by accident—God carried us by His grace, stayed faithful even when we were not, and kept His promises when we were unsure. As we mark what God has already done, we also lift our eyes forward, because “thus far” means God isn't finished yet. Pastor Sam Revelation 20:11-21:8
As we continue our Advent journey through hope, peace, and love, this message confronts a foundational question: Is God truly who He says He is? Scripture reveals that these Advent themes are not merely virtues we strive for, but attributes of God Himself—fruits of the Spirit produced in us as He imparts His life within us.This sermon focuses on joy—not fleeting happiness, but the complete, enduring joy Jesus promises in John 15. A joy rooted in love, obedience, and relationship. A joy that is not self-generated, but received. And most importantly, a joy that is not meant to be experienced alone. From the angels' proclamation in Luke 2 to Paul's letters and the prophetic vision of Isaiah, Scripture consistently presents joy as communal before it is individual—sung together, shared together, celebrated together. Jesus' joy is for all people, deeply inclusive, and fully realized in shared faith, shared life, shared encouragement, and shared salvation. This message challenges the modern pursuit of isolated happiness and reframes joy as a divine system for unity—where “my joy” becomes “our joy.” Ultimately, we see a picture of embodied joy: God rejoicing over His people with singing, while His people respond in worship and praise. If you've ever felt joy fall short when experienced alone, this message invites you to rediscover the joy of Jesus—complete, enduring, and alive in community.

In this message, we look at Jesus' promise in John 14:26–27 that the Helper—the Holy Spirit—will teach us, remind us, and fill us with a peace the world cannot offer. Jesus draws a clear line: His peace does not operate like the world's peace. So what's the real difference? The world offers peace that depends on quiet circumstances, calm people, and the absence of problems. It's a peace you have to chase, earn, and protect—making it temporary, fragile, and often impossible to sustain. But the peace of Jesus is entirely different. It is given, not earned.Internal, not external.Rooted in His presence, not the world's predictability.

Psalm 122:1-9
Advent isn't a trend—it's a posture. In a culture obsessed with the “new,” this episode calls us back to the ancient rhythm of waiting, hoping, and remembering. What does it mean to hope when life feels delayed, painful, or out of control?Let's rediscover the kind of waiting that forms us, not breaks us.
In this episode, we dive into Romans 1:16–17 and confront a tension every believer feels: What happens when the world you step into makes you question who you are? From wearing a “golf fit” from Kohl's to trying to code-switch your faith to fit the crowd, shame quietly pressures us to adjust what God has already settled. But Paul reminds us—the gospel is not something we shrink back from. It is the power of God that saves, strengthens, and reshapes us from the inside out.We explore how salvation gives confidence—not the kind you take, but the kind you receive through perseverance. We walk “The Way,” a road marked by God's righteousness, not cultural Christianity or customizable beliefs. In a world where 69% claim Christianity yet only 6% live from a biblical worldview, this conversation calls us back to Scripture, back to conviction, and back to the power we were baptized into. This message exposes the idols of our age—ideas, not statues—and challenges the temptation to modify our faith to match the moment. When shame pushes you off the road and doubt creeps in, how do you hold fast? How do you live by faith, not just claim it?If you've ever wondered whether you fit, whether you're enough, or whether your faith still stands in a culture of compromise, this episode reminds you: the righteous will live by faith—and the faithful hold fast even when the masses don't.
Biblical equality isn't about everybody having the same amount — it's the call for all of us to give so that everyone has enough. When we believe that, it changes how we show up. It changes how we respond to need. It changes what we think is possible when we give according to our means.Today we get to step into genuine Kingdom needs — from planting The Garden in the heart of Houston, to building out our final kids room, to supporting Elevate Hope House, to sending and supporting families into the mission field. These are moments of impact we only make together.Isolated, our impact is minimized.United, our impact is multiplied.Let's finish the work with the same willingness we started it

Download Discussion Questions Ice Breaker Pick one. What was your favorite job you've ever had? What do you enjoy spending money on? What was money like for you growing up? How did it shape the way you view money now? Scripture Read Luke 16:1–15; 1 Timothy 6:9–10 Observation In the parable of the shrewd manager, what does Jesus seem to admire, and what does He not admire? According to verse 10–13, how does Jesus connect money and trust? Why do you think the Pharisees “sneered” at Jesus' teaching about money? Why do you think Jesus gave this teaching to his disciples as well? How does Paul's image of “the root of all kinds of evil” help us understand the deeper problem beneath greed? Application Paul warns that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. What signs might indicate someone loves money? What safeguards can we keep in our life to make sure that we don't love money? How does the illustration Pastor Sam used about removing buckthorn from the root apply to our finances and generosity? What's the hardest part about giving consistently? Prayer Lord, help us believe You when You say it's more blessed to give than to receive. Pull up the roots of greed, fear, and self-reliance in our lives. Teach us to trust You with everything we have.
John didn't try to convince anyone about Jesus — he just pointed and said, “Look, the Lamb of God.”In a world full of noise, opinions, and endless content about faith, we can forget that Jesus never called people to arguetheir way to belief. He simply invited them to experience Him.When the disciples asked where He was staying, Jesus said, “Come, and you will see.” That invitation still stands today. It's not about collecting more sermons, podcasts, or hot takes — it's about living a life that shows people who He is.Missional living means embodying the message, not just repeating it. It's learning how to point others toward the presence of Jesus in our everyday lives — through how we love, serve, and respond.Because people don't just need another explanation about God — they need an encounter with Him.

Every year, this season reminds us that Builders isn't just a fund — it's an invitation. An invitation to partner with God in what He's building through His church. In Philippians 2:1–11, Paul paints a picture of Jesus-centered humility, unity, and surrender — one that reaches into every part of life. Yet too often, we apply this truth selectively, allowing Jesus to lead our hearts but not our habits, our time but not our treasure. This message calls us to tear down those walls. To see that generosity isn't just an act — it's an identity. That flourishing communities aren't built by consumers but by contributors. And that true freedom is found when we release what we have because we trust who we have.Builders is a moment to move beyond “what can I get?” and live out “what can I give?” — just as Christ did.

Rev 21:1-8 We like new things, don't we? Whether it's a new car, a new phone, or a new home we get excited for new things. But you know what undoubtedly happens? New things become old. They lose their glimmer. They crack and degrade. It's no wonder that God gives us the hope that all things will be made new. And they will stay new forever. But what exactly will change? And how should that change the way we live? We consider those questions this week as Pastor Sam continues his study in the book of Revelation.
The word Ecclesiology—from the Greek ekklesia (assembly/church) and logos (word/study)—has been lost, twisted, and misunderstood. Many have been discipled to see the Church through the eyes of a critic, not the heart of a contributor. But to understand Jesus, you have to understand His Bride. In this message, we dive deep into:The Church as the Bride of Christ — Ephesians 5:25-27What it means to be washed by the Word — James 1:22-25Becoming a radiant church filled with His Presence — Psalm 34:5 Living holy and blameless before God — 1 Peter 1:15-16This isn't about a perfect church—it's about a purified one.A people surrendered, sanctified, and united under one name: Jesus. It's time to stop spectating and start sanctifying.Where you see a flaw in the Church is where you're called to sacrifice for it. We don't just attend the Bride—we are the Bride.Let's be radiant together.
Today we're going to dive into one of the most fascinating and hope filled promises in all of Scripture, and that is the millennial reign of Christ and its connection to the Davidic Covenant. For centuries, God's people have looked forward to the day when the Son of David will sit on the throne in Jerusalem and rule with justice and righteousness over all the earth. From II Samuel to Revelation, the Bible paints a picture of a literal kingdom where Christ fulfills his promise to Israel and demonstrates God's faithfulness. But what does the rain look like? Why is it necessary and God's redemptive plan at all? Why does this have to happen, and how does it shape the way we live today? We'll explore those questions and more as we unpack the who, what, when, and where, and why of the Millennial Kingdom. To discuss today's topic, we're joined by Sam Miles, President of the Living Faith Bible Institute and instructor over Biblical Studies at LFBI. Pastor Sam is speaking on the subject of the Millennial Reign at the Certainty Conference, 2025. Visit https://www.lffellowship.com/certainty to stream all of the sessions regarding God's redemptive plan for Israel.
Jesus often described His return like a groom coming for His bride — unexpected, but eagerly anticipated. In this message, Pastor Phillip unpacks the final stages of the ancient Hebrew wedding and how they mirror our relationship with Christ: the waiting, the shout, the feast, and the union to come. Waiting on God isn't passive — it's purposeful. Let's learn how to live ready, stay faithful
Jesus uses the Parable of the Weeds to explain God's plan for kingdom expansion between his first and second comings. Discover why the Kingdom of Heaven advances by growing righteous people rather than by attempting to remove all sources of wickedness.
Rev 20:1-10 We know Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. But if He were to rule and reign on the earth, what would that actually look like? Is it even possible? Well, according to Revelation that day is coming! And the church will be a witness to it. This week Pastor Sam expounds on this truth as he continues his study in the book of Revelation.
