Since its inception in 2011, the Kentucky Chapter of SCC has distributed over $536,000 in funding and assistance in their local service area, including $227,000 in grant funding over the past three years On Thursday, June 15th, from 6-8pm a special dinner will be held at The Montgomery Inn Boathouse in Cincinati, honoring NASCAR hall of famer and Kentucky native Darrell "DW" Waltrip.This is a intimate setting with a limit of 40 guests. Sponsorships are available at various levels. Attendees strongly encouraged to RSVP asap or until the June 2nd deadline. Evergreen Raceway is a 1/3-mile asphalt oval that has produced some of the finest short track racers since the 50s. Rev Racing is the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program and serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing female and minority drivers, and pit crew members in the NASCAR development series for future competition at NASCAR’s highest levels. NASCAR shares Rev Racing’s belief that minority and female audiences are underserved in America’s second largest sport Cabre started racing at the age of four in motocross and has found success on the track ever since. The one-fifth mile paved short track located on Indy’s east side is famous for its thrilling Figure 8 racing and intense oval action. Located in Epping this 1/4 mile, asphalt, drag strip features Modified, Street, Motorcycle, Jr. Dragster, Quick Rod Series and Top Bike classes. Toby Christie’s earliest memory of NASCAR is watching the 1993 Daytona 500. That day was the infamous “Dale and Dale show,” and Toby has been hooked ever since. As a kid Toby grew up in Texas, so there wasn’t a NASCAR-sanctioned track nearby until 1997, but from that day forward he’s never missed a race at Texas Motor Speedway. A contributing writer since 2008, and field correspondent since 2010 for RubbingsRacing.com and BleacherReport.com, Toby now strives to report the news as quickly and accurately as possible for the readers of dailypitstop.com (formerly sicknissified.com), a site he co-founded, and thefinallap.com. Toby was also the host of the “Hammer Down” podcast on RubbingsRacing.com, a weekly race recap show. Starting in 2012, Toby became the co-host of The Final Lap Weekly, an hour long, weekly NASCAR radio talk show.
