Phil and Josh return for E267 of the GSP to provide their usual unfiltered commentary on the motorsports events of the past week. At Barber, Hello Palou returned to his dominant position with a win from pole. The guys discussed the fully green flag event, standout performers behind the champ, and the points heading to the Indy Road Course. Anytime motorsports take place at Texas Motor Speedway, expect Phil and Josh to let you know their thoughts. In this case, why any racing takes place at that dump. Like certain people's facilities, this track is godawful and shouldn't have any part in determining champions in any series outside the Bass masters. Three pseudo demolition derbies took place across the major NASCAR series, with Joey Logano, Kyle Larson (subbing for Connor Zilisch) and Corey Heim win in Cup, XFinity and Trucks. Formula 1 raced at the Dolphins' stadium parking lot Grand Prix after announcing a 16-year extension for nobodies benefit. The most compelling race of the weekend was the drivers doing a parade lap in full size Lego cars. In the sprint race, Lewis Hamilton was a Fred Alonso crash away from possibly taking his second sprint victory due to the variable conditions. In the actual race, Oscar Piastri proved once again why he is the measure to fight versus Fish Lips and look to earn McLaren their first driver's title since Hamilton in 2008. Phil discusses the ApexOne GT3 sim league on Assetto Corsa Competitizione and his breakdowns of the splits plus his chances (or lack thereof). The guys discuss Homestead being announced as the finale for the 2026 NASCAR season, which is a welcome relief for numerous NASCAR fans. They will rotate the race among multiple warmer weather sites, so Las Vegas could finally be an option. The GSP Roundup covers F1 Academy, Indy NXT, Formula E, WSBK, IMSA, WEC, MotoGP/Moto2, and Supercars before the race previews and picks for IndyCar at the Indy Road Course plus NASCAR Cup and Trucks at Kansas. Josh previews his opportunity to become a two-time iRacing Indy 500 champ in the Sim Segment along with everything else going on this month as a lead up to the Greatest Day in Motorsports.

Current Wood Brothers Racing crew chief and longtime Team Penske engineer Miles Stanley joins Davey Segal (5:15) for a wide-ranging conversation that dives into his career in motorsports and background in racing. Stanley discusses the treacherous nature of Texas Motor Speedway, how winning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has allowed them to take more risks, when that win truly set in and how big winning a race for WBR really is. Stanley also discusses what he's learned from championship-winning crew chief Todd Gordon, who he worked with for over a decade, how working with all three current Team Penske drivers in some capacity has eased his transition to Josh Berry and the Wood Brothers, why he and Josh seem to be gelling so well so quickly and more. Plus, how he got started in motorsports with Formula SAE, his football career at Dayton and Akron, how racing engineering proved to be a career path for him, his transition from open wheel to stock cars, working with Robby Gordon Motorsports, why the Dakar Rally was one of the coolest experiences he's ever had, why his work at Penske as Head of Performance Engineering was so gratifying (hint: the last 3 championships in a row), why he doesn't go by his given name and more. Davey also recaps Joey Logano's win at Texas, previews Kansas and Papa Segal pays homage to Ron Bouchard.

With Tri-City Speedway just around the corner, Brent shares his thoughts on returning to the site of a major win and what it'll take to replicate that success this Saturday, May 10th. The discussion dives into the real-life struggles small car owners are facing this season, particularly with a high number of rainouts hurting income and increasing travel burdens. Brent reflects on his recent victory in Texas and the consistent performance his team has maintained at Texas Motor Speedway, highlighting the pressure to stay sharp every single night in a sport where one misstep can cost a championship run. Brent opens up about his past racing success, especially in 2022, and how those experiences influenced his decision to join the High Limit Sprint Car Series full-time in 2024. He explains how the series' flexible schedule and open communication with teams made it the right fit, pointing to its long-term potential and fan-first vision. The conversation also covers possible format changes that could keep the racing fresh and increase fan engagement. Looking ahead, Brent emphasizes the need for his team to improve on smaller, rougher tracks if they want to stay competitive in the title race. He's confident, though, that with continued focus and strong finishes, they can close the gap with the current points leaders and be in the mix at season's end. Don't miss this episode if you're a sprint car fan or just want a deeper look into the mindset of one of the sport's most thoughtful and consistent drivers. Episode 135 is on the scene and while most of the Mid Atlantic did not race due to rain, the zMAX CARS Tour and Ace Speedway dodged the rain drops just enough to get the entire Late Model race in and over half the Pro Late Model show in to make that official. Landen Lewis picked up his second career win on tour on Saturday and he joins us this week from the shops of Kevin Harvick Incorporated. We discuss racing vs the rain, having legendary crew chief Rodney Childers in his pit stall, the continued support given to him by Hall of Famer Ron Hornaday and what has been the key to getting this team within five points of Connor Hall in the championship points race.Speaking of which, we give exclusive breakdowns of both the Late Model and Pro Late model event from Ace, should penalties had been assessed to some teams who had flat tires that brought out yellows, and give a state of the Tour following the first third of the season with three drivers separated by five points in the title hunt. The Cup Series ran at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday and we review the roller coaster day that saw Joey Logano end up in victory lane from his 27th starting spot. Does Penske Racing seem to have gotten their groove back with two straight wins? How about this racing we see at Texas? Did the boys like what they saw? Nathan Byrd obtained his career best finish on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving for Young's Motorsports on Friday at Texas.  The Arizona turned Indiana native joins us to tell us about his career that started off as male cheerleader with racing not being on his radar. His radar eventually led him to karting and after running many disciplines of racing, he had dreams of running the Indy 500 which his family either sponsored entries or owned them. That dream did not come to pass but an entry into the fast speedways of NASCAR opened up and his story is one of the best we have ever told on this program! We serve up a few dubs from the weekend, tell you who's racing in the Mid Atlantic this weekend while we preview the action from Kansas & much more fun this week on DLN!
