In this episode of the show, Baldy and Stu look back at an eventful week in the world of cricket - although a lot of the news came off the field, with Kane Williamson calling stumps on his career and England Cricket's curfew kerfuffle involving Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson. We also discuss the first few games of the Women's T20 World Cup and the Australian's Men's team's recent performances. We start the show by talking about Kane Williamson's decision to retire immediately from international cricket - news that came as a surprise to a few people, particularly with it happening after just one game of the three-match series against England. We discuss the initial announcement, then quickly reflect on what Kane Williamson's career has meant to New Zealand cricket fans and the special place he holds in the record books and in our hearts. There's also talk of his overall legacy in the Test arena and who might step into his shoes for the Black Caps in the years to come. As the conversation continues, the topic moves to the other big off-field news of the England-New Zealand series - the incident involving Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson that has resulted in them being stood down for the second Test pending the outcome of an investigation by the ECB. Was it an over-reaction? Does it signal a disconnect between the players and the coaching staff and/or England Cricket management? And what might England's XI look like for the second Test following the news that Ollie Robinson may also be in doubt. To round out the show, we hit the opening games of the Women's T20 World Cup, which has started brilliantly for England and Australia, but not so much for New Zealand's White Ferns, who will be ruing missed opportunities that saw them lose their opening encounter against the West Indies. There's also a quick chat about the Australian Men's team and their performances in Pakistan and Bangladesh. O governador de São Paulo Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) comentou o encontro entre o senador Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) e o presidente americano Donald Trump. Para Tarcísio o encontro é “natural” para um presidenciável. Tarcísio ainda afirmou que “vai pensar em eleições na campanha”. O presidente Lula (PT) defendeu a Proposta de Emenda à Constituição que prevê o fim da escala 6x1 durante a entrega de moradias populares em Manaus nesta terça-feira (26). A medida de proibir os penduricalhos foi tomada pelo ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal, Flávio Dino. O ex-ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal, Luís Roberto Barroso, afirmou, durante um evento sobre a reforma tributária na Fiesp, que o mercado "teme o aumento da carga tributária" com o novo sistema. O magistrado destacou o período de transição em que o ICMS e o IBS funcionarão ao mesmo tempo, como consequência de uma transição gradual. CELOU EPIZODU NAJDETE NA HEROHERO.CO/STUDION Britský přírodovědec a dokumentarista David Attenborough slaví 100 let. „Na jeho životě vidíme, jak se měnil svět – jak ubývaly korály, jak klesá biodiverzita… a mluví o tom s charismatem, které odkapává z televize,“ říká ve Studiu N vědecký novinář a moderátor České televize Daniel Stach. Jeho magnetizující styl vyprávění si uvědomil u jednoho starého videa. „Je to strašně starý šestiminutový záznam, kde stojí mladý Attenborough shrbený v černém obleku a bílé košili, má ruce křížem, vypráví a porušuje u toho drtivou většinu všech televizních pravidel. A já jsem po šesti minutách zjistil, že jsem se poprvé nadechl,“ říká Stach. Jeho hlas označuje za strhující, naplňující a věrohodný. Attenborough podle něj lidskému pokolení připomíná, že je pouhou součástí přírody. „Říká nám, že jsme na ní závislí a že nejsme nic víc. Víme od něj, že žijeme ve světě, který výrazně ovlivňujeme, ale že ho také dokážeme zachraňovat. Dokážeme mu pomáhat, ale musíme chtít,“ shrnuje jeho zásadní myšlenky. Ve Studiu N se moderátor vědeckých pořadů vyjadřuje také k aktuálním hrozbám. „Nikdy v historii nebylo tak snadné a tak levné lhát tolika lidem. A bude to ve velmi blízké budoucnosti ještě jednodušší a cílenější,“ upozorňuje. „Umělá inteligence naučí umělou inteligenci, jak zacílit lež konkrétně na vás. Obávám se, že ztratíme sdílenou realitu a tím se rozpadne společnost. Co bude pravda pro jednoho, nebude pravda pro druhého. Každý bude mít svět vytvořený přímo pro něj, který se nebude protínat se světem těch dalších,“ popisuje Stach. Tento vývoj podle něj může vést k občanským válkám a rozložení společnosti, která se přestane starat o slabší. „Z toho mám obrovskou obavu,“ přiznává. V rozhovoru se dotýká také aktuálního politického tlaku na veřejnoprávní média. „Já doufám, že máme generálního ředitele, který sice nevystupuje silně navenek, ale dokáže dobře vyjednávat v zákulisí,“ říká o vedení České televize. „Doufám, že to Hynek Chudárek dokáže vyjednat tak, aby ČT mohla zůstat nezávislá a byla tam co největší bariéra mezi novináři a politiky. Navenek ale nevidím silná vyjádření, silné výstupy ani bouchání do stolu. Neříkám tím, že nedokáže dostát výsledku, ale zaměstnanci se ozvali hlasitěji než generální ředitel,“ tvrdí.
