Tyler Perry is facing a $260 million sexual harassment lawsuit from actor Derek Dixon—and his legal team wasted no time calling it a “scam” and “shakedown.” That move may work in court. It won't hold up in the court of public opinion. In this episode, I break down:How aggressive legal statements create reputational damageWhy pattern recognition is the biggest risk to Perry's brandThe Christian Keyes video circulating online and its unspoken implicationsWhat Perry's team should have said instead—and why it mattersFrom the “Lizzo Effect” to the gap between legal and reputation risk, this is a classic case of what happens when a billion-dollar brand forgets that beloved status is earned—and easily revoked.Strategic Takeaway: Defensive desperation destroys trust faster than the allegation itself.Want More Behind the Breakdown? Eric Justus grew up in Southern California, the son of a VW enthusiast Bill Justus. Bill was known for putting on some of the VW panic events in the mid 90s. Eric grew up with that as a foundation. Moving onto Street cars he obtained Type 34 ghia he decided he was going to make it a drag car. It was quite infamous in the early days as it was at Carlsbad Raceway quite a bit drag racing and he had that big type three moving pretty quick. After he sold it he took a step back for a little bit to fool around with some hot rods before jumping back into his 1955 window is incredibly detailed really fast. Send us a textVulnerability assessments serve as the frontline defense against cybersecurity threats, yet many professionals struggle to understand the terminology and methodologies that make them effective. In this comprehensive episode, we demystify the critical components of vulnerability management that every security practitioner should master – whether you're preparing for the CISSP exam or strengthening your organization's security posture. We begin by examining recent ransomware attacks targeting municipal governments across the United States, highlighting how 28 county and tribal governments have already fallen victim in 2024 alone. These incidents underscore why vulnerability management isn't just theoretical knowledge but an urgent practical necessity for protecting critical infrastructure and services.Diving into the technical foundations, we explore how the Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) system works, from discovery to disclosure, and how the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) helps prioritize remediation efforts through its base, temporal, and environmental metrics. You'll gain clarity on related frameworks including CPE, CCE, and OVAL, understanding how these pieces fit together to create a comprehensive vulnerability management approach. The episode also provides a practical breakdown of network scanning techniques essential for vulnerability discovery, including SYN scans, TCP connect scans, ACK scans, UDP scans, and Christmas tree scans. We explain the intricacies of the TCP handshake process and how different scanning methods leverage various aspects of this protocol to identify potential vulnerabilities while avoiding detection. We also examine how AI-assisted code generation is transforming development practices, with 70% of professional developers expected to use these tools by 2027. While this technology promises significant productivity gains, it creates new security challenges that vulnerability assessment processes must address.Whether you're studying for the CISSP exam or looking to strengthen your organization's security practices, this episode equips you with the knowledge to implement effective vulnerability management. United States President Donald Trump has ambushed South Africa's President Cyril Rama-phosa during a meeting in the oval office, by playing a video that he claimed proved genocide was being carried out against white south africans. It was the most tense encounter in the Oval office since the bombastic meeting between Trump and Ukraine's President Vlodomyr Zelensky back in February. Jaro Valent z časopisu Historická revue sa rozpráva s historičkami a autorkami spomínanej knihy Patríciou Fogelovou a Veronikou Szeghy-Gayerovou zo Spoločenskovedného ústavu Centra spoločenských a psychologických vied SAV. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sedges (genus Carex) can be an intimidating group of plants to get your head wrapped around, but it doesn't have to be that way. One key element to understanding them is knowing what to look for, which is why I am so excited to talk about a new book/key to the oval sedges - “Carex of Illinois and Surrounding States”. Join me and authors Michael Murphy, Greg Spyreas, and Paul Marcum as we explore what it took to put together their beautifully illustrated guide to these Carex, why they spent years trying to make sure it was useful, and all the unexpected finds they made along the way.
