The farewell Sermon of Rich Ehrlich, pastor of Petra Bible church Title of sermon is "To sum it up"
Somethings that make me confident that I did the right intellectual thing in believing in Jesus
The flood is about to occur; will God provide a way of rescue?
The adventure for Noah is over now what does he do?
How on earth did the world get so bad that God brought the flood on the earth? What happened to the religious revival when Seth was born? Is there any lesson for us?
This is a study in contrasts between Cain and Enoch
The story and the problem with Cain who killed his brother
What are some basic truth we get from Adam and Eve?
We are talking about the basic biblical foundations and what happened because of Adam. Death!
What do you suppose was in Adam's mind when he took fruit that his wife got from the tree that he was told not to eat.
As Petra Bible Church embarks on a new season, Josh Wroten from Next Gen churches talks about our purpose and responsibility
How do you live your life, in stress or are you resting in a God who love you.
It seems very strange that God would say He created male and female in his image.
We have this idea that we are worthless and are nothing but Gen 1 tells us something different. In Christ the way we rule better reflects the image of God. We are created in the image of God and part of that is that we have dominion. What does that look like?
How were you made as a believer? How to be a really joyful believer.
What is the connection between day 1-3 and day 4-6 in the creation story and what implications are there for us
There is some really beautiful things going on in creation. This is worth listening to.
Stop thinking Gen 1 is all about a discussion about evolution. It is something greater and more important.
this is the last message in James. It think it has some good stuff to say though it might not sound very popular. Is there a formula here for healing and what kind of healing is in James mind?
James warns the rich in the church of dire consequences. Recording is real bad but content is okay a good reminder. You will have toy really turn volume up
Should God be part of my secular life? Why does life go haywire sometimes especially when I have such well thought out plans for success,
Are Christians pleasure seeker in secret and then have buyers remorse afterwards because they have no idea where the battle lies and how to win? Are Christians having a secret love affair with the world system?
Are just teachers held to a greater accountability? Hmmm.
Oh, yes we love to talk but are we doing anything to make known that our faith in Jesus is useful and fruitful? Faith without works is ineffective faith, useless faith and just empty talk
When did the world want to pick cooler people to be in the church? Will, people want to listen about the love of God when we think they are not good enough for our group?
Maybe when we talk to God, we are too quick to speak and God can't seems to get a word in edgewise. Maybe we are mad at God and then we go out and do stupid stuff. James has some good words for us.
An attempt to bring the person of humble means and the rich man into context with the man who doubts in the previous verses. It might be a beneficial message
Don't tell me to count trials as joy...Unless there is a bigger picture than I can see
Into to the book of James. What does maturity look like.
There is a temptation to change the subject in the 15th Chapter of I Corinthians to talk about what kind of body we will have after the resurrection. But that doesn't seem to be what Paul is interested in talking about.
We have been dealing with the reasonableness that Jesus rose form the deal in the letter of Paul the people of Corinth and it just lines up with Easter this year. Last we we deal with Paul and the resurrection so this week, Easter we will give more thought about the the resurrection of Jesus. Nothing too new. but I think it is worth listening to. I did a second time and had a grin on my face.
Is there any reason to believe in the resurrection and is the resurrection also about the ability to live the Christian life?
Why does Paul go back and tell the basics of the Gospel in this 16th chapter of I Corinthians? Did they miss something important?
The last part of the issue with tongues and what the church service is to look like. There was problems in the microphone so it is hard to listen to, But if you care to you might get something useful,
The message is focusing on the word very few people use and that is unbecomingly. It is worth listening to. What happens when we live lives that detract from our character as believers?
The issue of head covering for men and women
Where do tongues fit in church service?
Second part of what love looks like. Special detail to the word Unbecomingly
Part one of I Corinthians 13. Effectiveness isn't measured by the greatness of your gifts but the quality of your love.
Every, yes, every believers is supposed to be useful in the kingdom of God because God loves us so much that He gives us spiritual gifts so that Jesus will be made know to the world. If that is true how would that affect the way we live and they way we learn from God?
The real message around the communion passage in I Cor 11
We saw Paul plead with the Corinthians to be selfless and break down barriers with the Jews and Gentiles by not trying to offend them but give up his rights and freedoms so he can tell them about Jesus the Messiah but now in the 11th chapter he will tell about some offenses going on in the church. We are not to offend Jew and gentiles but also we are not to offend the church of God either by some interesting dress.
Bad audio but the message is my attempt to make sense of a warning about tying to take the Lord supper and then fellowship with those who sacrificed food to demons. I Cor study.
Are you struggling with always failing and don't really understand where the battle is, then this might be helpful. It was for me.
Who cares if Paul gets support from the church or he has any rights after all he is not that easy to understand. But is there something we can learn from his compulsion to get Jesus known? I Corinthians 9. What is his motivation and why is he really committed anyway?
We are back from vacation and this is about what home is or should and Who really is our home, our place of rest, our place of refuge and the place were we find belonging
Christmas. Is it a myth or is it history. So this is about faithfulness and it is about confidence that this is a story that is historical. I need to have confidence that Christianity is rational and reasonable not just spiritual which it is. This
How much do I have to be like Jesus to give up my freedoms and right for the weaker brother or sister?
