Send us a textHow does a theory popularized in the 19th century still stir debate among theologians and scientists today? The gap theory, which suggests a hidden eon between the first two verses of Genesis, continues to be a contentious topic. We dissect this theory's attempt to bridge biblical narratives with geological timelines and reflect on how such reconciliations may challenge the Bible's fundamental teachings. With insights from figures like Thomas Chalmers and Henry Morris, this episode scrutinizes the theological dilemmas posed by the gap theory, particularly its implications for understanding sin, death, and the integrity of scriptural truths. As we ponder life's origins, we embark on a journey that questions the age of our planet. Does cosmic dust hold the secrets to Earth's true timeline? While modern science tells tales of an ancient Earth, alternative findings propose a universe younger than conventional theories suggest. Highlighting intriguing cases like lunar dust predictions before the moon landing, we confront mainstream scientific assertions with fresh perspectives. Methods such as measuring nickel in oceans are presented as we entertain the possibility of a youthful Earth amidst ongoing debates. Our narrative ventures into the profound dynamics of creation, focusing on Genesis 1:2 and the pivotal role of the Holy Spirit. What does the Hebrew "ruach" reveal about the Spirit's influence on the cosmos? We explore the Spirit's energizing presence, likened to a vibrational movement over the waters, setting the stage for life and light. The Spirit's inspiration extends beyond creation, breathing life into the sacred scriptures, and reshaping our understanding of the divine Word. As we prepare to advance to Genesis 1:3, we invite you to join us in this continuous exploration of faith and science.https://www.jacksonfamilyministry.comhttps://bobslone.com/home/podcast-production/

Psalm 22 is a detailed & accurate prophecy describing a righteous man being executed by crucifixion by evil men, written 800 years before crucifixion was invented. Nothing in Ps 22 was fulfilled by David, either in the details of his suffering or in the world-wide consequences of his death. Rather as a prophet (Acts 2:30), David spoke by the Spirit of Prophecy, enabling him to describe Messiah's inner thoughts & feelings on the Cross. Whereas the Gospels record outward events, Messianic Psalms (like 22) reveal His inner experience. It is messianic from start to finish, a prophecy of His death & resurrection, followed by the Gospel going to the world, and the establishment of God's Kingdom. This is confirmed by New Testament quotes from Ps 22, claiming Jesus is the fulfilment. Along with Isa 53, it has special importance in providing a detailed revelation of the Cross. It's written in 2 Parts corresponding to (1) Christ's SUFFERINGS (v1-21), and (2) the GLORIES that would follow (v22-31), see 1Pet 1:10-11. The 1st Part is a Lament, in which an isolated man, surrounded by enemies, suffers & prays on the altar of sacrifice (v1-21a). He describes his sufferings, but also turns to God and declares his faith, requesting God to draw near to save Him. Then it moves from travail to triumph in v21b, when he declares: “You have answered me”. The 2nd Part is a Thanksgiving Psalm, where He rejoices in his victory, and thanks God for accepting his sacrifice and delivering him from death, and for all the blessings released as a result. He is no longer alone, but praises God in the midst of His brethren. He declares the Gospel of His finished work will be declared around the world and down the ages, resulting in the salvation of the Gentiles (as well as Jews), and God's Kingdom established over all. *Part 1 consists of 3 Laments: (1) His spiritual suffering & desolation (v1-2), followed by a declaration of faith in God (v3-5). (2) His mental suffering & humiliation as a social outcast (v6-8), followed by a faith-declaration and request to God (v9-11). (3) His physical suffering - the torture of crucifixion (v12-18), followed by a faith-declaration & request (v19-21). Each time, He first expresses His feelings and describes His suffering (the focus is on ‘I' & ‘ME'). Then He turns his focus to God, saying: “BUT YOU.” So it is fine to express our feelings to God, but don't stop there, as if they are the final word. Don't stop with the negative, but go on to declare the truth of God, who has the final word. *Lament 1 describes his spiritual suffering, as he felt totally forsaken by God: “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me (v11,19) and from the words of My groaning (roaring)? O My God, I cry in the DAYTIME, but You do not hear; and in the NIGHT season, and am not silent” (v1-2). He had a covenant relationship with God (‘My God') and walked with God all His life (v9-10,31), yet now all fellowship was broken. He experienced total separation from God's Presence. Ps 22 starts with him asking ‘Why?' The answer to this unlocks the meaning of the whole Psalm. The answer as revealed in v31 is that He was bearing the sin of mankind, as our sin-offering, and so experienced Hell (total separation from God's Presence) for us. Thus, the result of this one man's suffering is salvation for the world (v22-31). He suffered separation from God, so we might be restored to God's Presence. During the supernatural darkness on the Cross, Jesus quoted v1 in Matt 27:45 & Mark 15:33-34. By quoting the start of Ps 22, He pointed to the whole Psalm, saying He was fulfilling it all: ‘if you want to know what I am experiencing and what the outcome will be read Ps 22'. He prayed it all, ending with the proclamation: “He has done (finished) it” (v21). So, just before He died, He quoted the last verse saying: “It is finished!” (John 20:30). As v2 predicted, Jesus suffered on the Cross during the day (9am – noon), when He was the burnt offering, and during a night, when He was the sin offering (the supernatural darkness, noon to 3pm, Amos 8:9, Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20). Throughout this time, He called on God in faith to help Him. The physical pains did not cause Him to roar v1 in agony, for He only did this in the darkness, when He experienced God's wrath on our sin and the spiritual darkness of total separation from His Presence, as predicted by v1-2, fulfilled in Matt 27:45. We discuss the secular evidence for the supernatural darkness and prove it was indeed a night (v2, Gen1:5,14-18), and how this solves the paradox of the 3 days & 3 nights between His death & resurrection, and how it confirms He died in AD 33. In v3-5 Christ moves from His 1st Lament to a declaration of faith: “BUT You are HOLY.” This shows He knew the answer to His question in v1. When Christ became sin, God's holiness required Him to pour His wrath on him, and separate Himself from him. Thus, He praised God & vindicated His righteousness.

TRUTH NUGGETS 19 part 1 In this vidcast (video), "Against the Gods,"  we will again study God's word in its historical context.  However, this time we add a new perspective to our study.  We will continue to ask what those early believers heard and saw and understood when they first heard God's word.  But, we will also see how God comes against the pagan gods and man made religions in the ancient Middle East in very unique ways in His word.  This time we will see how God taught His people, the Hebrews, in ways that would make sense only to them in their day.  We would not recognize it as we read the Bible.  God is writing to a people thousands of years ago using concepts only they understood and not us.  Dr. John Currid, a highly credible Egyptologist, archaeologist, and theologian, wrote a book entitled, "Against the Gods."  His thesis in the book is to show us how we in the 21st century miss how God taught His people in their time using things they were familiar with.  Here's an example Dr. Currid uses his paper, "The Nature of Polemical Thought and Writing."  He writes ... A STRONG HAND - Some common expressions found in ancient Egyptian texts to describe the power of Pharaoh over his foes are that the monarch had “a strong hand,” or “he possessed a strong arm,” or he was “the one who destroyed his enemies with his arm.” It is ironic that the author of the book of Exodus assigns the same features to the Lord as he humiliates and destroys Pharaoh and Egypt (Ex. 3:19–20; 6:1; 7:4; 15:6, etc.).  James Hoffmeier, a famous Egyptologist, comments on this parallel, asking, “what better way for the Exodus traditions to describe God's victory over Pharaoh, and as a result his superiority, than to use Hebrew derivations or counterparts to Egyptian expressions that symbolized Egyptian royal power?”  For most of us this would have escaped us completely.  We are not familiar with ancient Egyptian writings nor are we into the ancient culture and customs on Egypt in the days of Moses.  But, God is clearly inspiring Moses to use an Egyptian idiom that the Hebrews would have been familiar with.  God uses this to come against Pharaoh and show His power over Pharaoh and all Egypt.  In this way God uses something Egyptian to teach His people about Himself and His character.  However, we will also see that these amazing lessons that made sense to those first believers also make sense to us today in the 21st century.   Ready?  Let's begin our first lesson.  Let's see how God uses Genesis 1:1 to teach His people coming out of Egypt that He is God and not Amun Ra.  Let's also see how this relates to us today, us being His people, and knowing that God never changes (Mal. 3:6).  He was the same 3400 years ago and today.   Link to John Currid's article referenced above - https://www.monergism.com/thethreshold/sdg/polemic.html Rev. God creates whales and seals and sharks and lobsters and walleye and catfish and cows and dogs and lions and tigers and pigs ... He creates all the "living creatures."  In Hebrew the word is נֶפֶשׁ nephesh.  But, God also "forms" man and man is called נֶפֶשׁ nephesh.  Are animals and man the same?  Today some say this is the case.  Today some say animals have the same rights as humans since animals and humans are the same.  How can this be?  Moreover, Jewish and Christian translators translate נֶפֶשׁ nephesh as soul!  For example in Deut. 6:5 it says we are to love God with are whole heart and soul or נֶפֶשׁ nephesh.  So, the Bible in English could be used to justify the crazy world view that animals and humans are the same.  They are living creatures and they have souls!  How does God distinguish man from the animals?  Is there something we are missing?  You bet. Another thing we will study in lesson 9 is that God uses His Torah as a polemic against Egypt.  Again, a polemic is a strong truth claim attacking an opposing truth claim.  God is inspiring Moses to write a polemic against Egypt.  An example is in Egypt there is a god called Khum.   See the royalty free picture below of the god Khum from CLKER.com. He is a creator god and in one of the creation stories in ancient Egypt, Khum is called the POTTER in that Khum formed all creation, stars, planets, sky, the earth, the oceans, and all animals and plants and man and woman and all the gods on his potter wheel.  Here is a link to an article about the Egyptian god Khum that you may be interested in as an addition to your study -  https://ancientegyptonline.co.uk/khnum/ But the Bible says that the God of the Bible is the potter and we are the clay.   But now, O LORD, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand. (Isa 64:8) How does God come against Khum?  How does God inspire Moses to help the Hebrews coming out of Egypt see that Khum is not the potter, not the creator, and a false god?   Rev. Kyle talks to us about his upbringing in hunting and the outdoors, including telling us about his grandma who was the known deer hunter in the family. We talk a bit about predator hunting around the country, how Michigan differs from out west or down south, mainly population and terrain. We discuss who we learned from, the shows we watched, and articles we read to get the info that is now very prevalent. And talk about why you don't see many if any predator hunting shows filmed here. We touch on quite a few facets including how he got into predator hunting, his progression in the sport, knowledge, tactics and equipment. Starting with a .22wmr rifle, hunting during the daylight only, to today's set up of thermal optics and everything in between like lights and night vision. We discuss how family and friends react to finding out about predator hunting, each of us talk about that, and specifically some of the stuff we have heard, like "I can't believe there are that many around" to "what do you DO with them" We talk about the community, and how we have all made some really good friends in our quest for knowledge, entering competitions, and sharing stories with other like minded hunters. In electric vehicle (EV) batteries, the anode serves as a critical component, acting as a storage vessel for lithium ions that are then released when the battery powers the car. Major players like Porsche, Mercedes, and GM are embracing this technology, recognizing its potential to revolutionise EV performance.  However, while silicon-based anode materials hold great promise for batteries, they are known to suffer from significant degradation during charging and discharging cycles. Solving this problem could open up a market for silicon anode materials that could reach $130B by 2033. ENTER HPQ SILICON INC. (TSX-V: HPQ) (OTCQB: HPQFF)  HPQ Silicon is positioning itself to become a key supplier of Silicon materials in battery anodes, which aligns with the US and Canadian government initiatives to establish domestic battery manufacturing ecosystems in an effort to reduce reliance on China.  Novacium, HPQ's France-based affiliate, owns patents enhancing anode material performance, particularly in silicon-based Lithium ion batteries.  With the pressing demand for domestic battery material suppliers, HPQ Silicon's advancements in silicon-based anode material position it as a crucial player in meeting the evolving needs of the electric vehicle industry while addressing supply chain vulnerabilities. 1 OF ONLY 3 COMPANIES IN THE WORLD TO SURPASS 4,000 mAh The Company's GEN3 batteries have reached an impressive average capacity of 4,030 mAh, nearing the current world record of 4,095 mAh. Dr. Jed Kraiem, COO of Novacium, remarked, “As we anticipated, our GEN3 materials have exceeded the 4,000 mAh mark, making us one of just three companies worldwide to achieve such results. We are optimistic about further advancements, with GEN4 materials potentially pushing capacities beyond 4,300 mAh.” OUTPERFORMING TRADITIONAL GRAPHITE BY 40% IN CAPACITY AFTER 50 CHARGE-DISCHARGE CYCLES The latest test results showcase their GEN3 silicon-based anode material outperforming traditional graphite by 40% in capacity after 50 charge-discharge cycles. Key Milestones and Market Impact Superior Performance: Outperformed previous GEN1 and GEN2 materials by 25% and 15%, respectively. Consistency and Durability: Notably, GEN3 batteries demonstrated minimal degradation, retaining nearly 100% of their capacity after 50 cycles, matching the performance stability of graphite-based batteries. Future Outlook: With the GEN3 material already showing exceptional results, NOVACIUM's COO, Dr. Jed Kraiem, is optimistic about the potential for GEN4 batteries to exceed the 4,400 mAh threshold, further enhancing battery performance. PATHWAY TO COMMERCIALIZATION  The conversation highlights a critical point: HPQ Silicon's strategic positioning is designed to leverage their technological advancements and attract significant partners. The company's structure, including its investment in Novacium, aims to enhance its market position and ensure that it can scale effectively. Tourillon emphasises that while full details on future plans and ownership transitions are not disclosed, HPQ Silicon is in a strong position to capitalise on its innovations. The company's strategic manoeuvres, including potential future acquisitions or increased stakes, will be guided by ongoing discussions and market developments. LOOKING FORWARD As HPQ Silicon continues to advance its battery technology, the company remains focused on its goal of pushing the boundaries of performance and scalability. The excitement surrounding their innovations and the positive industry response suggest a bright future for HPQ Silicon as it navigates the evolving market landscape. With growing industry interest, strategic investments, and ongoing advancements, the company is well-positioned to achieve its goal of delivering the world's best performing silicon anode materials.

In lesson 6 we consider the Torah, the 1st five books of the Bible, as a polemic.   A polemic is a concept that is diametrically opposed to a competing concept.  God seems to indicate this in Lev. 18:1-5 when God said ... Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'I am the LORD your God. 'You shall not do what is done in the land of Egypt where you lived, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their statutes. 'You are to perform My judgments and keep My statutes, to live in accord with them; I am the LORD your God. 'So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the LORD. (Lev 18:1-5, NASB)   It is if God is inspiring Moses to write parts of the Torah as a polemic that comes against the truth claims and pagan mythology of Egypt.  Clearly, God wants to help His chosen people to get Egypt out of their life and prepare for entering the pagan world of the Canaanites in the Promised Land.  Later when we get to Genesis 50 and Exodus 1 and 2 we will study in detail the Bible proof that the Hebrews slowly but surely assimilated into the Egyptian culture - most of them forgot the God, the only God, the God of their fathers, of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.   For further study use this link to study the idea that the Hebrews had assimilated into the pagan culture of Egypt.  Link to an article from World History about the Canaanite god YAMM the enemy of Ba'al - https://www.worldhistory.org/Yamm/ Here's the link to study that the Hebrews assimilated into Egypt –  https://halakhaoftheday.org/2023/03/29/from-propsperty-to-assimilationn/ Here's a podcast from Light of Menorah also a study that the Hebrews assimilated into the Egyptian culture -  LINK - https://lightofmenorah.podbean.com/e/the-gospel-according-to-moses-lesson-4-part-2-exod-211-25/   Rev. This vidcast (video podcast) is a supplement to the podcast Genesis 5.  In this video we will see how God taught His people, the Hebrews, in ways that would make sense only to them in their day. Ready? Let's begin. Let's see how God uses Genesis 1:1 to teach His people coming out of Egypt that He is God and not Amun Ra. Let's also see how this relates to us today, us being His people, and knowing that God never changes (Mal. 3:6). He was the same 3400 years ago and today. In lesson 5 we focus again on the critical verses in Genesis chapter 1.  In this session we will address the concept of God creating everything through His word; creating everything by simply saying let it be and it was - out of nothing - EX NIHILO.  And, in addition, this lesson will introduce the idea that to understand the Torah we need to understand ancient Egypt of the 18 Dynasty at the time of the Exodus.  The Hebrews likely have assimilated into the Egyptian culture and, for the most part, do not know the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.  So how does God take Egypt out of the Hebrews?  This concept is called "polemic theology" where a polemic is a concept that is diametrically opposed to a competing concept.  In this case who is God?  Is it Amun-Ra, the supreme pagan false god of Egypt in 1446 B.C. or is it Adonai Eloheem, the Lord God of the Bible?  How would the true God teach the they mythology of Egypt is false and incorrect using Genesis 1:1-2?   For further study check out the links below.  Use this link to study the idea that the Hebrews had assimilated into the pagan culture of Egypt.  Here's the link - https://youtu.be/9tY5N0mAJ2I?si=7SzXFQWg0ZP4Hj3F Here's an article on the ancient Egyptian creation accounts - https://www.glencairnmuseum.org/newsletter/2021/7/13/ancient-egyptian-creation-myths-from-watery-chaos-to-cosmic-egg Short cool video on the ancient Egyptian creation myth - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTy49JlgJZE Rev. In lesson 4 we will focus on two terms.  The first is "HEAVENS" and the next is "LIVING CREATURES."  We will study these terms in Hebrew and find that our modern ideas are again challenged once we understand what the terms mean in Hebrew and what the Bible says and not what men say.  However, as we do focus on hearing the Torah on its own terms, and not on man's view, our understanding of God, who He is, and ourselves is deepened, clarified and enhanced. So, will the Hebrew help us understand where does God abide?  Does He abide in “heaven?”  Or, why is it that in Hebrew animals and mankind are called “living creatures?”  On top of that how can the Hebrew word translated as “living creatures” also be translated as soul?  What is going on?  So come and join us and study.  As part of this study check out one of the lessons I did on the series on the Lord's prayer.  It focuses on the phrase, "who art in heaven," in the Lord's prayer.  This study will enhance what you learn here in lesson 4 on Genesis. Finally, we will study an amazing correlation between the 1st book of the Bible and the last, the book of Revelation.  Genesis 1 deals with God creating a new heaven and a new earth.  Then we read in Rev. 21:1 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea."  Both deal with a new heaven and a new earth.  Both books deal with a beginning.  Is there more?  Just wait and see!!
