In this episode, Cindy Esliger discusses the cumulative effect of subtle and not-so-subtle micro-aggressions that build up in us over time. It's the minor incidents like a dismissive glance, an ignored idea, and being overlooked that we shove to the side. But they don't go away. They build up and can have a negative impact on our career without us even realizing it. Cindy explains how we can identify and take charge of these cumulative slighted feelings moving forward.  The unresolved baggage of micro-aggressions layered inside us gets carried around and affects how we view ourselves, behave, and even what we expect of our own achievements. So how do we identify and validate them so we can become stronger? Cindy shares five steps: 1) Name the baggage, 2) Reframe our perspective, 3) Set boundaries, 4) Focus on what we can control, and 5) Find our people.Workplace slights are real and the key isn't learning how to avoid these difficulties, but how to manage them and learn. Cindy calls this building emotional agility. We learn to resolve the stress-creating baggage so we can be free of the triggers. How do we reframe the triggers? 1) Pause and identify, 2) Challenge the association, and 3) Take action. Cindy guides us through the subtly complex world of microaggressions, cumulative baggage, resolution, and letting go in this key episode. Resources discussed in this episode:Guide to Unpacking the Emotional BaggageAstronomic AudioConfidence Collective—Contact Cindy Esliger Career Confidence Coaching: website | instagram | facebook | linkedin | email

Most entrepreneurs assume growth means doing more. More effort. More complexity. More stress. But what if scaling 10X was easier than doubling your efforts?   Alex Raymond digs into the bold idea behind 10X Growth, inspired by 10X is Easier Than 2X by Dan Sullivan and Ben Hardy. He challenges the trap of incremental thinking and explains why real success comes from eliminating distractions, simplifying decisions, and focusing on what truly moves the needle. If most of your results come from a small fraction of your efforts, what would happen if you let go of everything else?   Alex also explores the psychology of growth, including the concept of “the gap and the gain.” Many entrepreneurs measure success by how far they have left to go instead of recognizing the progress they have already made. Before next week's conversation with Ben Hardy, Alex shares a preview of the Conscious Entrepreneur Summit, where Hardy will lead a deep dive into the 10X mindset.   If you've been grinding toward growth and feeling stuck, this episode offers a different path. One where doing less leads to far greater results.   Episode Breakdown: 00:00 Introduction  02:00 The Inner Game of 10x Growth 03:42 The Trap of Incremental Thinking 04:49 The 80/20 Rule and Eliminating Low-Impact Tasks 08:02 Unique Ability and Zone of Genius 09:04 Delegation and Focusing on High-Impact Activities 12:05 Case Studies and the Cumulative Effect of Focus 14:02 The Mindset Shift for 10x Growth 16:18 The Gap and the Gain Concept 18:05 Living in the Gain vs. Living in the Gap 21:37 Overcoming Scarcity Mindset 24:44 Physical and Mental Signs of Scarcity vs. Abundance 26:04 Summary of Key Themes: 10x vs. 2x 28:01 The Courage to Focus on Unique Ability 29:46 Implementing the Gap and the Gain 30:18 Scarcity vs. Abundance Thinking 31:00 Immediate Action Steps for 10x Thinking 36:38 Final Thoughts on 10x Growth   Links Connect with Alex Raymond: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/afraymond/ Website: https://amplifyam.com/ HiveCast.fm is a proud sponsor of The Conscious Entrepreneur Podcast. 53: The definition of toxicity and what it means for your horse

Healing Horses with Elisha

We are focusing on toxicity today. Toxicity is one of the leading causes of equine disease. When the toxic load of horses exceeds what they can process, it becomes hard for their tissues to be healthy, their organs to function as they should, and their body systems to work together to sustain good health. Today, I scratch the surface of the vast and complex topic of toxicity, giving you a little food for thought. Since this is a massive subject, I will likely revisit it and dive deeper into some of the points we cover today in future episodes.Understanding Toxicity in HorsesToxicity refers to the degree to which a substance can harm cells, tissues, organs, or entire systems. For horses, toxicity often accumulates gradually, influencing their health over time. Genetic makeup, nutrition, and environmental exposure are all factors that determine how well a horse can handle toxins. Well-nourished horses with good constitutions and minimal exposure to harmful substances are generally more resilient. Yet they can also struggle as they age, particularly between 14 and 16 years, when signs of imbalance often emerge.Early Signs of ToxicityThe initial effects of toxicity can be subtle and easy to overlook. A horse may develop a dull coat, cracked hooves, or irregular shedding patterns. Subtle changes like stiffness, swelling, joint discomfort, a weakened immune system, or slow recovery from illness could also indicate that the body struggles to handle its toxic load effectively.Key Sources of ToxicityEnvironmental chemicals in feed, hay, and waterFertilizers, preservatives, and additivesPathogens, like bacteria, viruses, and parasites- especially in horses with weakened immune systemsDietary imbalancesDietary imbalances are another major factor contributing to poor equine health. Excess sugar or protein can stress the body and lead to inflammation, metabolic issues, and poor gut health, and a diet heavy in oils can disrupt the gut microbiome.AcidityAcidity in the body often results from an imbalanced diet, leading to conditions like leaky gut, systemic inflammation, and joint issues. Hormonal imbalances, such as prolonged high cortisol or insulin levels, also cause significant damage over time, contributing to tissue breakdown, laminitis, and immune dysfunction.AntioxidantsAntioxidants are crucial for combating free radicals, the unstable molecules that damage cells and DNA. Free radicals naturally occur during metabolic processes but increase with high toxic loads. Without sufficient antioxidants to neutralize them, free radicals can accelerate aging, weaken the immune system, and cause long-term damage. The Cumulative Effect of ToxicityEven though toxins seldom cause immediate harm, they accumulate over time. A horse that has consumed feed with additives, dealt with multiple infections, or been on long-term medications may eventually show signs of toxicity. The cumulative effect often leads to nutritional deficiencies, compromised immunity, and declining health.Strategies for Reducing ToxicityEliminate unnecessary supplements and observe how the horse responds to a more natural diet. Prioritize high-quality feeds and hay with minimal additives, and avoid excessive sugar, protein, or oils, as they can disrupt metabolic health and the gut microbiome in horses. Address pathogens and infections promptly. Support detoxification with bioavailable nutrients to restore reserves and help the body manage its toxic load effectively.Final ThoughtsToxicity develops slowly. Understanding the sources and taking steps to minimize exposure will allow you to help your horse maintain...

The power of the cumulative effect is often overlooked and underestimated.  Microaggressions are an excellent example of the power of the cumulative effect: the ongoing repetition of the indignities has an impact greater than one or two. My most recent guest mentioned them when discussing unconscious bias. https://bit.ly/3vDo04G “Buki Mosaku on navigating unconscious bias” I previously talked about understanding what microaggressions are and what to do about them.https://bit.ly/3e4u7QW “What are microaggressions” and  https://bit.ly/2DkVppq “What to do about microaggressions”.The negative power of the cumulative effect can show up in other ways, too. For example, in an extended family, a collection of subtle comments, gestures, or other actions can add up to a feeling of a lack of respect, dismissal, and humiliation.   Simple positive words and gestures have impact, as well. We can be more aware of the cumulative effect.  Noticing small negative words and actions we might be delivering. Appreciating that they do matter as they add up.  And on the positive side, we can look for opportunities to encourage, support, and thank.  Then watch the cumulative effect of what we say and do build and build in a good way.Do you have comments or suggestions about a topic or guest? In this episode of the Define Success podcast, host Matt Lupi explores the transformative potential of building small daily habits to achieve success. He emphasizes that true success stems from the consistent daily actions we take, rather than relying on grand events or opportunities. Matt introduces the concept of the Cumulative Effect, which refers to the collective impact of repeated or accumulated events over time.Matt provides examples to illustrate the Cumulative Effect in action. Saving money, for instance, involves consistently adding quarters to a piggy bank, eventually accumulating enough to purchase something significant. Similarly, making incremental improvements to fitness and nutrition, such as increasing daily protein intake or engaging in regular exercise, yields noticeable changes in one's body and overall well-being. Conversely, neglecting small maintenance tasks, like cleaning the sink, leads to a mounting mess and increased stress. The episode delves into the importance of recognizing the power of daily actions. Matt highlights that the small choices and habits we engage in on a daily basis have a profound impact on our lives. Drawing from the analogy of a penny versus $5 million, he emphasizes that small actions, when consistently practiced, accumulate and can yield substantial results.Matt urges listeners to avoid settling for less and instead embrace the transformative potential of daily habits. It is easy to underestimate the power of consistent, small choices that align with our goals. Failing to make these small choices can hinder progress and keep us from reaching our desired outcomes. To overcome overwhelming goals, Matt suggests breaking them down into daily habits. By focusing on small actions performed consistently, even the most daunting goals become achievable. He shares a personal example of preparing for an ultra marathon, illustrating how running just one mile a day can make a significant difference over time.Furthermore, Matt emphasizes the importance of making daily habits easy and obvious. By creating schedules, setting reminders, or strategically placing visual cues, we can solidify our commitment to these habits and increase their effectiveness. The episode concludes by exploring the success of accomplished individuals. Matt asserts that their achievements are not solely the result of innate talent but rather the daily habits they consistently practice. He references Malcolm Gladwell's concept of investing 10,000 hours into a craft, emphasizing the significance of daily dedication and deliberate practice. In closing, Matt encourages listeners to recognize the power of small daily habits and the Cumulative Effect in shaping their lives. By starting small, remaining consistent, and embracing steady progress, anyone can unleash their potential and achieve remarkable success.Thank you for listening today! The Optimal Alpha Podcast: Fitness, Fat Loss and MENtorship for the Modern Man

You worked hard all week, stuck to your diet, went to the gym, and drank water. So why oh why has nothing changed? Have you not done enough? Do you not deserve results by now? Wake up! It's only been a week. You're not going to see results yet. You need to work harder. People think that each action has an immediate impact. Maybe it does, on a very small level. But for the results people want, doing something once does literally nothing. Results come from cumulative effort and work–actions taken repeatedly over time. Show Summary:  "If women aren't ovulating, isn't it counterintuitive to put them on a pill that reinforces non-ovulation? When they think they're on their menstrual cycle, it's not a period but a chemically induced bleed by synthetic hormones.”Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is the nastiest of all hormonal imbalances. Yet in the absence of ovary cysts, doctors would rule it out - even if some of its glaring symptoms like irregular periods, infertility, unwanted weight gain, acne, and chest and facial hair have already appeared.  And with the meteoric rise of crazy hormonal issues happening as of latter years, it's easy for women to feel alienated and misunderstood. Pills have been a normal prescription to manage PCOS, but did you know that it disrupts your monthly ovulation cycle and what you're only experiencing could be ‘fake bleed'? Our ‘unicorn' guest, Meg Richichi, is a rare PCOS expert who doesn't only deal with its symptoms - she gets to the bottom of it. Her fascinating backstory of world travels gave her a balanced East and West perspective. Plus, her reveal on the basic cause of PCOS and how it's mishandled by mainstream medicine is mind-blowing. Let's put an end to hormonal imbalances. It's time to heal and understand PCOS by listening to Episode 39 of the Gutsy Health Podcast to learn more! Exceptional Highlights:Elevated androgen is a hallmark symptom. Most receive diuretics that reduce testosterone but do not cure PCOS.Women with PCOS are at higher-risk of estrogen-related cancers. And if unresolved, it also makes them susceptible to other illnesses. Hormonal imbalance is a direct result of our bodies' inability to flush out toxins in our system. Show Highlights:How Hormones Affect Our Creativity CyclesMeg Richichi 12:49When you start paying attention to your cycle, your sense of awareness, creativity and confidence increases. Every month, you have the beautiful opportunity to give birth to something in your life aside from a baby.  Cumulative Effect of Androgens and Chemical ExposuresMeg Richichi 16:54In the womb, excessive androgen from mothers is passed on through the umbilical cord. And as we grow older, the toxicity buildup from chemicals in our environment blocks the healthy lymphatic flow and drainage in our bodies. The Connection of Detoxification to Balanced HormonesJuanique 20:03Parasites harbor heavy metals and plastics. Women who have done cleansing protocols unexpectedly heal their endometriosis and begin to have normal eight-day cycles. The Red Flags of Infertility and Rough PregnancyJuanique 25:23Women who struggle getting pregnant or experience extreme morning sickness are most likely fighting with their hormones and are not getting the support that their bodies need. Important Links: Gutsy Health AcademyGutsy Health Podcast InstagramMeg Richichi/PCOS Revolution Website@pcosrevolution InstagramThe Hormone Lifestyle Podcast

California has passed and implemented a wide of legislative reforms that seem to be have a vastly negative impact on crime and community safety. Starting with Prop 47 and 57 which has resulted in emptying out our prisons and letting sex offenders out early. These bills redefined "violent" crimes in the California Penal code and the result is that even human trafficking of a child is not considered a "violent" crime. At the same time thousands of sex offenders are being considered for early release from incarceration. Prop 47 raised the theft threshold to $950 per location and made it a misdemeanor. The result is a raging increase of home burglaries and shoplifting crimes. Several stores are having to close as they are losing an average of $25,000 a day through organized criminal shop lifting rings. Major stores like Nordstrom's have been looted and vandalized with rioters brandishing bar crows and weapons. All of this is happening as new bills are introduced such as the California Safe Streets Act (Prop 357) that will in essence legalize street and car prostitution making it so law enforcement will not be able to intervene. By overlooking Federal Immigration processes, California has determined itself to be a "Sanctuary State". The result is millions of people who are at risk of exploitation by organized criminal coyotes, now reside among us and little can be done to protect them from ruthless predators seeking to retaliate while they are trying to settle in to the American Dream. On a stand alone basis, each bill will negatively affect our community and family's safety. But on a cumulative basis it will change our society in a way, that we will hardly recognize it a few months from now. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/million-kids/support

Their stories of abuse, neglect, foster care and lack of permanency in their lives led to the founding of her non-profit child advocacy organization.  She believes that the way to break the cycle of abuse for the sake of future generations of children is through educating and providing our youth with a coping skill set that may not have previously modeled to them.  She is also an appointed member of Missouri's Task Force on Children's Justice and the Critical Event Review Committees.  Tune in on Monday, November 30 @ 5pm EST to hear this enlightening conversation.

James 5:14, 15 Anointing Oil 14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up Mark 16:17, 18 Laying on of hands 17 These signs shall follow them that believe… 18 They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover 1 Corinthians 12:9 Manifestation of the gifts of the spirit 9 Gifts of healing (corporate anointing) The Best way to be healed is to Receive the Word of God and then Act on it The good news is that God will meet you where you are Isaiah 38:16 Hezekiah 16 (after a lump/plaster of figs) Fully recovered with a fresh infusion of life Healing: A restoration of the body from a damaged or diseased condition. By definition it implies a process/a recovery 3 John 2 2 Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers  Health (healthy): It refers to the absence of disease and the ability to recover and bounce back from illnesses and other problems Sickness is the foul offspring of it's father satan and it's mother sin (He's the author of sickness). John Alexander Dowie We are not the Sick trying to get healed, we are the Healed Resisting sickness (devil) James 4:7  7 Submit yourselves to God, Resist the devil, and he will flee Resist: To stand up against (YLT). A military term “to arrange in battle against.” anthistemi (Greek) for oppose, stand firm—to interrupt progress #1 way we Resist and interrupt him is with the Word 1 Peter 5:8, 9  He's the devourer Luke 13:16 16 Woman with infirmity 18yrs…whom satan hath bound (sickness is satanic bondage) John 10:10 10 The thief “comes only” to steal, kill and destroy REFUSE ANYTHING FROM HIM (delivery) Something you ought to establish in your heart—right now—is that God is Good, All that He does is Good—Devil is Bad, etc. 1 John 3:8 8 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested (appeared, revealed) that He might destroy (undo) the works of the devil Proverbs 4:20-22 22 God's Word is Medicine (it goes right to the problem area) Attend: That means you don't look at anything else (not depart) You cannot see healing looking at your symptoms.  K. Moore God's Medicine, p.14-16, Dad Hagin At the first sign of symptoms, start taking your dosage (Word)—if you're smart, you'll get ahead of it Suggestion…Make it a point to Keep your faith strong by meditating along the lines of Faith and Healing Daily The time will come that you will need faith, either for yourself or some member of your family.  And if you haven't kept your faith strong, you'll be at a disadvantage There is no medication that soothes the soul like God's Word. Rick Renner Luke 5:31  Dr. Luke M.D. 31 It's not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick Matthew 9:12; Exodus 15:26 12 If you're sick, you need a physician—I am the Lord your Physician—The Lord who heals Jeremiah 30:17; Psalm 41:3 The Lord nurses us and restores us to health Ps 147:3 3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds Psalm 107:20 20 He sent His Word (Medicine) and healed them ALL And He makes House Calls! (doctors use to come to you) The Word, like medicine, has a “pounding effect” on your spirit when ingested—A Cumulative Effect (increase in force/degree).  If you're dealing with symptoms in your body, Increase the dosage of the Word. Small things or actions when performed over a period of times will result in a massive result at the end. This is what a cumulative or combined effect is. We would have come across some of the times with problems that might have seen insurmountable and the small role that we should play seems trivial. What we usually do in such times is that, we never take action that we can take. Let me give you an example. Let's take the place we are residing or the city we are in is dirty. Imagine a situation that we are eating a packet of chips and have completed it. We then eventually throw the empty packet of chips by the roadside. If someone asks us why do we do that, we say them "What difference is it going to make by putting an empty packet in a garbage when the place is already empty?". In this episode of podcast I am going with some more examples about this effect and what a starfish can teach us about this effect. If you found this podcast valuable don't forget to follow my podcast so that you don't miss out any episodes that help you to grow.
