Through the years of pastoring people and leading a local church, I discovered people wanted help to live life effectively. Whenever we asked them how we could help them, they would bring up the subjects of marriage and living purposefully. In last week's podcast, I discussed marriage. In fact, podcast 60 was titled "7 Insights For A Meaningful and Long-Lasting Marriage." If you missed it, please go back and listen to it or watch it. Through forty-eight years of marriage with my wife Jeana, we have learned about meaningful and long-lasting marriage. Therefore, I shared seven insights about this subject that will help you. In fact, you could take these seven insights about marriage and share them with your Sunday School class or small group, and the hour would be filled with discussion and insight. I believe you could do the same with the content I am about to share with you, “Your Life Matters: How to Live With Purpose.” Your time together in any setting and with any number of people would become meaningful with discussion and overflowing with questions. I have found this true: You cannot live spiritually fit if you do not live purposefully. Furthermore, without purpose, you will live life aimlessly. Hear me clearly: People want to know what matters in their lives. As a man in his sixties, I want to know that my life matters. I also want to know that I have a purpose and want to live each day purposefully.I want to give you Four Dynamic Statements About Purpose. Each of these will help you live purposefully.

Listen to today's podcast... Our world is changing and sometimes that change is difficult to keep up with. Sometimes we see the need for the change, but we don't know how to move forward. Sometimes we want the change and we look for ways to push it forward. I grew up in rural Ontario where my cousins and second cousins and so on were my neighbours and classmates. We looked like each other and we sounded like each other. I had 3 local TV stations, and we watched very little TV except for hockey, which I tuned out. I don't remember giving skin colour a second thought. I went to University and I still don't remember giving it a second thought. It wasn't until I lived in Toronto that I remember hearing some of my first racial slurs. I know that 30 years later, I have said or thought things that were racial generalizations in reactions to activities, sayings, or even music. So here we are in the midst of turmoil and I am still seeing arguments around Black Lives Matter versus All Lives Matter. I absolutely agree with both statements. Black Lives Matter. All Lives Matter. Your Life Matters. My life matters. However, I can not remember a time where my skin colour has put me at a disadvantage, or made me looked down upon as something less, or put me at risk, or seen as dangerous. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency! So what can we all do…Listen and show up. Listen to each other. Show up and be willing to acknowledge someone's experiences, no matter how different it may be to yours. By listening and showing up, by opening up in this way, we can examine where we can push change forward. Where we can make the necessary impact. We all have a role to play in making that happen. It's needed and long overdue as Every Life Matters. #mentalhealth #hr

Shrug off the cloak of secrecy and awkwardness around death with palliative care nurse Pippa White. I've been wanting to bring a death convo to the airwaves for ages, because there's a huge imbalance between light/dark, above/below, waxing/waning, growth/decay, possessing/relinquishing energies in our culture (and I'm the first person to perpetuate it). Shout out to everyone who sent frank and thoughtful questions for Pippa to answer – you'll hear them towards the end of the ep.Pippa White is a palliative care nurse and death care advocate and educator in the Anthroposophical tradition. Have you ever looked around at your life and thought:“This can't be it. I thought there would be more…”You're not alone. So many of us are stuck in survival mode—busy, tired, and low-key wondering if we missed our moment. We're told to “find our calling” and “follow our dreams,” but most of us are just trying to make it through Monday without screaming at the coffee maker. In this message, we're asking the real questions:What if my life doesn't feel meaningful right now? What if I feel like I'm behind? How do I know I'm walking in my purpose? The answer isn't a new job or a bigger platform. It's not about titles or talent. It's about being faithful with what's already in your hands.Jesus doesn't just save you—He sends you. You're not random. You're not overlooked. You were created on purpose, chosen for a reason, and called to live with eternal impact—right here, right now.

B"H Time is a construct—but what if we told you there's a Jewish way to relate to it that changes everything? In Jewish time, there's something called a chalak—a unit of time that lasts just 3.5 seconds. Sounds tiny? It is. But when you learn to use each Chalak intentionally, those tiny moments add up to massive impact. In this reel, we talk about how this ancient concept holds a powerful secret to living a more meaningful, purposeful life—one halak at a time. ✨ To watch Torah Thoughts in video format, click HERE Subscribe to the Torah Thoughts BLOG for exclusive written content!
