Kids: All families have disagreements and conflicts. Abram took initiative to work out the quarrel with Lot. As the elder, he could have taken control of the situation and told Lot where to go. But he chose to work with Lot, allowing Lot to choose where to move. This session will guide kids to think about God's plan for families and about how family members can work out differences and live at peace together. We will be sensitive for children that have different family dynamics including broken families, adoptive, foster, single-parent, and stepfamilies.Preschool: God made people, His most important creation. People are different from the other things that God made. People can make choices. This session will help kids think about ways they are wonderfully made and ways God made them able to think and do things.

Pastor Mark Trinkl returns from sabbatical with a powerful message on surrender! Kicking off the "Restore" series, he unpacks Romans 12:1-2 and challenges us to ask: what is God asking me to surrender? From sin and unforgiveness to idols like money, career, family, health, and entertainment, Mark walks through the things we elevate above God — and invites us to lay them down. Through the parable of the sower and a moving story about a father and his daughter's pearls, he reminds us that true transformation begins with surrender. Whatever you're holding onto, God is waiting to give you something even better. Watch now and discover the potential God has placed in you!#Surrender, #ChristianSermon, #RestoreSeries, #FaithJourney, #Romans12, #Idolatry, #Forgiveness, #ParableOfTheSower, #SpiritualGrowth

What if the woman you've been striving so hard to become...is the woman God already says you are? Think about that for a second. So many women live with the belief, "I'll be more confident when I lose the weight." Or, "I'll finally start serving once I feel comfortable in my body." Maybe you've even told yourself, "When I reach my goal weight, then I'll believe I'm enough." But what if those thoughts have been keeping you stuck? The truth is, the enemy loves to convince us that our identity is always one achievement away. One smaller clothing size. One lower number on the scale. One more accomplishment. Because as long as we're chasing a future version of ourselves, we're distracted from living in the identity God has already given us. Friend, your worth was never something you had to earn. Your confidence doesn't come from your body—it comes from Christ. Your purpose isn't waiting for you at your goal weight. And your calling has never depended on fitting into your old jeans. Today, we're talking about what it really means to become the woman God created you to be—not someday, not after you lose 20 pounds, but right now. Because when you begin living from your God-given identity instead of striving to earn it, everything changes...including the way you approach your health. Before we dive in, I want to invite you to something special. On September 2nd, I'm hosting a FREE live workshop on Zoom where we'll talk about how to finally break free from the exhausting start-over cycle with food and weight loss. If you're tired of starting over every Monday, every month, or every season, this workshop is for you. You'll learn practical, faith-based strategies to help you build lasting freedom instead of relying on willpower. And if you're looking for encouragement throughout the week, come join our free Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. It's a place where women encourage one another, grow in their faith, and pursue healthy living without obsession. Finally, if you're ready for personalized support and accountability, I'd love to walk alongside you through my Ditch the Diet one-on-one coaching program. You can reach me anytime at taraj@dietditching.com. Now, let's dive into today's episode.

Kids: God created a man and a woman and placed them in the garden. God had a plan and made people in His image. This session will lead kids to understand that God created them and knows everything about them. We can focus time on the weekly verse reminding kids they are remarkably and wondrously made. Preschool: This session will help kids understand that God had a plan and made different kinds of animals, to live in the water, fly in the sky, or to walk on the land. With older preschool and kindergartners, highlight that God made animals only after He had made water and plants for them to drink and eat.

Who are we? We are either the "ego" that we made up, or we are the unlimited Being that God Created whole and complete. This is a fundamental question we must ask ourself to be aligned with A Course in Miracles. "I am the Holy Son of God Himself" (or Herself). To the ego in organized "Christianity" this would be the epitome of arrogance. ACIM would maintain that actually it is "arrogance" to deny our Identity as the Son (Daughter) of God Himself. We are familiar with this denial that casues us pain and suffering. The state of affairs requires a big shift in our perspective on our true Identity. If we deny our own Identity, we will go mad as we get sick, age, and die. This Lesson is the antidote for the "Denial of our true Identity." We posit the truth within our mind and whole being. "I am the holy Son of God Himself." This is a statement of a fact. Humble in its acceptance of the Simple Truth.

Many people think bad thoughts when they hear the word “authority”. This is partly because the nature and heart of fallen man is to desire his own way, which leads him to fight against what an authority tells him to do. But authority was created by God for good. Without authority, the world falls into even greater evil. And while the unbeliever doesn't want to be told what to do, many authorities are unbelievers as well, and in their rebellion against God, they resist doing what God appointed them to do as authorities. This is true in families, in the church, and in the state. God appointed authorities for good; therefore, it is necessary that authorities remember what they were appointed to do.In many ways, authority is one of the most misunderstood concepts in the world today, and because of confusion in the church, it sometimes seems that the world, blind as it is, understands authority better than those who call themselves Christians. In this episode, we try to explain why each authority was appointed by God, and to better understand their purpose in the world. When fathers and mothers understand why they were appointed, the household becomes a more meaningful place. When elders and teachers and every member of the body understand how the church was put together by God, we can better serve the one who bought us. When presidents and legislators and judges and police officers understand why God has put them in their place, the city or state or nation grows in righteousness. Authority is good, and God made it for our good and for His glory. What is this "Name of God" to which we make a call, and invocation? We seek to know our true Self as God Created us to be. Self Identity is our main concern here in Life. This Name unites us in the Oneness of Reality, of our Self, of our Creator. It is beyound our thinking. It is the Emptiness of a non physical Reality. A true contact with the Spirit is held out today for us to realize. We call upon God's Name. What is the Gift, the Benefit from this call? Most people are not in touch with this Higer Reality. We live in a level of awareness that keeps us in a "survival of the body" mode. But this call to our True Identity is a conscious action today. Let's follow it through to the full realization of our Higher God Created Self.

How many times have you told yourself, "I just need more discipline"? Maybe you've thought, "If I could just have more self-control, I'd finally stay consistent." Or perhaps you've found yourself believing, "One day I'll finally become the woman God wants me to be." So you keep striving. You try harder. You start over again. You promise yourself that this time will be different. But what if the problem isn't that you're not trying hard enough? What if you've been spending so much time trying to become someone that God already says you are? As Christian women, it's easy to live in a constant state of striving—trying to earn confidence, prove our worth, find peace, lose the weight, overcome food struggles, or finally feel "good enough." We often believe that once we reach a certain goal, then we'll become confident, free, disciplined, or worthy. But that's not how God works. Scripture teaches us that our identity isn't something we earn. It's something we've already been given through Christ. You are not striving to become loved—you already are. You are not striving to become worthy—you already are. You are not striving to become God's daughter—you already are. The transformation you're longing for doesn't begin with more effort. It begins with believing what God says is already true about you and learning to live from that identity instead of constantly striving for it. In today's episode, we're talking about how to realign your mindset with God's truth so you can stop living from a place of fear, shame, and striving, and start walking in the freedom, peace, and confidence God has already made available to you. Because lasting change doesn't come from trying harder—it comes from living from the identity you've already been given in Christ. I pray this episode encourages you and reminds you of who you truly are. And if you'd like additional support, want to go deeper, or simply need prayer, I'd love to hear from you. You can email me at taraj@dietditching.com. And don't forget to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight Live Free. Michael W. Halcomb explores one of the Bible's most important themes: God's relentless desire to dwell with His people. From Eden to the Tabernacle, from the Temple to Jesus, Scripture tells the story of a God who continually moves toward humanity—even after humanity moves away from Him.Why did God's presence become dangerous after Genesis 3? What were priests, sacrifices, and purity laws actually accomplishing? And how does Jesus restore what was lost in Eden?Join us as we trace the story of God's presence across Scripture and discover why the Old Testament may not be what you think it is.#bible #podcast #jesus #faith #christ #christianeducation #christian #oldtestament #biblestudy #devotional #scholar #god Study deeper with GlossaHouse:

Study session scripture: Romans 9:14-29What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?” But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles? As indeed he says in Hosea,“Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,' and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.'” “And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,' there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.'”And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.” And as Isaiah predicted,“If the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.”Study session topics:God's Saving Promises to Israel, Continued Is God unjust? "What shall we say then?"--refers back to Paul's explanation of God's sovereign choice This is an objection we encounter to this day--"If God is all-powerful, then He is unjust." Paul shifts his answer from God's justice to God's mercy Under God's justice we are all deservedly condemned (3:10-12) God's mercy is the only way anyone is saved, and mercy is in a different category than justice -Paul again states that salvation is a work of God that doesn't depend on human exertion or will (8:30) The example of Pharaoh (Exodus 9:13-16) God is not responsible for man's sin God is free to save whom He wills and judge whom He willsIn both cases, His name is glorifiedWhy does He still find fault? This objection flows directly from Paul's answer to the first Critical problems with this question: It assumes God condemns certain people without reference to what they are or do as sinnersIt assumes God creates certain people only to damn them, and that they themselves are bystanders in all this The question itself is a rebellion against God's right to do with His creation as He will Paul's answer to the question begins with 3 comparisons to put the question in its proper context Man and God -Created and Creator Clay and Potter Paul connects the illustration of the potter with the conclusion of the previous objection, the idea of God's wrath (Ch. 1), and His forbearance (2:4) Paul ends his refutation with quotes from Hosea and Isaiah that show that God's new covenant of salvation was always His goal, even in the days of the old Israelite kingdom HoseaGod commanded Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him and give his children strange and symbolic names Paul is emphasizing unity between Jews and Gentile believers Isaiah -"only the remnant will be saved"--Paul once again rejects physical lineage as the way to be included in God's covenant Apart from God's grace in saving a remnant, Israel would have been destroyed Taken together, these quotes emphasize a church blended together from Jews and Gentiles and God's faithfulness to His promises as they are rightly understoodStudy session audio: S4 E24: Romans 9:14-29 Download

The Christ will receive this connection to God for us, being in constant Communion with His Father, therefore, we listen to the Christ to make this contact with our Source. We are now as God Created us. We can be aware of this today, and all sorrow can be over. Suffering can come to an end. We are given Christ's Vision today, ONE with our Source, seeing our Divine Reality. We can be free of the ego's overlay that fogs our true vision. God is in everything I see. LESSON 162I Am As God Created Me.This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world. From time to time we will repeat it, as we reach another stage in learning. It will mean far more to you as you advance. These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made. By them it disappears, and all things seen within its misty clouds and vaporous illusions vanish as these words are spoken. For they come from God.Here is the Word by which the Son became His Father's happiness, His Love and His completion. Here creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is. There is no dream these words will not dispel; no thought of sin and no illusion which the dream contains that will not fade away before their might. They are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world. The dead awake in answer to its call. And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death.Holy indeed is he who makes these words his own; arising with them in his mind, recalling them throughout the day, at night bringing them with him as he goes to sleep. His dreams are happy and his rest secure, his safety certain and his body healed, because he sleeps and wakens with the truth before him always. He will save the world, because he gives the world what he receives each time he practices the words of truth.Today we practice simply. For the words we use are mighty, and they need no thoughts beyond themselves to change the mind of him who uses them. So wholly is it changed that it is now the treasury in which God places all His gifts and all His Love, to be distributed to all the world, increased in giving; kept complete because its sharing is unlimited. And thus you learn to think with God. Christ's vision has restored your sight by salvaging your mind.We honor you today. Yours is the right to perfect holiness you now accept. With this acceptance is salvation brought to everyone, for who could cherish sin when holiness like this has blessed the world? Who could despair when perfect joy is yours, available to all as remedy for grief and misery, all sense of loss, and for complete escape from sin and guilt? And who would not be brother to you now; you, his redeemer and his savior. Who could fail to welcome you into his heart with loving invitation, eager to unite with one like him in holiness? You are as God created you. These words dispel the night, and darkness is no more. The light is come today to bless the world. For you have recognized the Son of God, and in that recognition is the world's.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

The sermon centers on the theological significance of humanity's creation in God's image, emphasizing that men and women are uniquely made in God's likeness—equal in dignity yet distinct in gender, role, and function. Drawing from Genesis 1–2 and the Westminster Confession of Faith, it affirms that human identity is rooted in divine creation, not cultural or personal identity, and that biological, moral, and relational distinctions between male and female are foundational to God's design. The sermon upholds the biblical order of male headship and female submission not as oppression, but as a reflection of Christ's sacrificial leadership and the church's submission to Him, while affirming the equal worth and shared salvation of both genders. It also explores the moral capacity of humanity—created with the law written on their hearts, able to obey or disobey, and thus responsible for their actions—setting the stage for understanding sin, covenant, and redemption. Ultimately, the sermon presents creation as a divine, good, and purposeful act, establishing humanity's role as stewards of God's world, called to live in holy joy and faithful dominion under God's authority.

What is it that we have to give? Can we receive Christ's Vision in order to give it? What would that be? Can we see that we are as God created us, and that our Innocence is totally intact, no matter what mistakes we have made in our life? This would be Christ's Vision. The Knowledge of our Real Self as God Created us is far beyond what can be taught, but awareness of this Self is Christ's Vision. We can give this to others when we have received it for ourselves. The time it takes to realize this is up to us. Realizing this truth is determined, and our moment of awakening is set. We will wake up to discover the Knowledge of Who we Are as God Created us as LOVE, PEACE and JOY. Christ's Vision can show us the real possibility of the end of separation.

Earlier this year, Bishop Robert Gruss shared a talk about purgatory at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Saginaw. He invited those gathered to reflect deeply on God's mercy, holiness and eternal life promised through Jesus. "You never know the day nor the time," Bishop Gruss told those in attendance. "We always have to be prepared." The evening began with prayer as Bishop Gruss asked the Holy Spirit to open hearts and minds to receive what God wanted to reveal through the discussion. Understanding purgatory Throughout the presentation, Bishop Gruss emphasized that purgatory is often misunderstood. While many people think of purgatory as a physical place, he explained that the Church teaches it is better understood as a process of purification. "Purgatory is not a place," Bishop Gruss said. "It is a condition of existence." Quoting St. John Paul II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Bishop Gruss explained that purgatory comes from the Latin word purgare, meaning "to make clean" or "to purify." He pointed to paragraphs 1030 and 1031 of the Catechism, which describe purgatory as the purification of souls who die in God's grace and friendship but are still imperfectly purified before entering heaven. "Nothing unclean will enter the presence of God in heaven," Bishop Gruss said, referencing the Book of Revelation (Chapter 21, Verse 27). Because of this, every soul must be fully purified before experiencing what the Church calls the beatific vision — seeing God face-to-face in His glory. God's mercy and purification Bishop Gruss explained that after death, every person undergoes what the Church calls a particular judgment, where the soul immediately understands its eternal destiny. "There are only two choices," he said. "Heaven and hell." However, Bishop Gruss reminded those gathered that purgatory is not separate from salvation. Rather, it is part of God's mercy for souls destined for heaven. "If you're experiencing purgatory, you're in [going to Heaven]," he said. "There's no turning back the other way." The bishop emphasized that most people die in what he called an "imperfect state of grace," still carrying attachments to sin, selfishness or worldly desires. He encouraged frequent confession and honest examination of conscience, asking participants to reflect on the areas of their lives that still need healing and conversion. "People die with unforgiveness in their soul," he said. "People die with attachment to jealousy or envy or lust or hatred." Yet the message of the evening was ultimately one of hope. "The beautiful thing about purgatory," Bishop Gruss said, "is that it exists as a result of God's mercy and His love and His desire for you and for me to be with Him for all eternity." Created for love At several points during the talk, Bishop Gruss reminded listeners that the Christian life is deeply personal because every person was created intentionally by God. He encouraged those present to prepare their hearts for eternal life through prayer, repentance and trust in God's mercy. The evening concluded with a renewed invitation to holiness and deeper conversion, reminding the faithful that God's desire is always to bring His people into the fullness of His presence. "Purgatory is meant to purify us so that we can love as completely as God," Bishop Gruss said.

There is a truth about work that has been lost to much of our culture since the creation of the world. It is that GOD CREATED WORK. He created work for us, to do together and for HIS glory. Genesis 2:19 - "So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one."  Work is NOT a PUNISHMENT, it's a GIFT. And God wants to JOIN US in it. Every day. He DELIGHTS in it. He is our team-mate, just as He was with Adam. He brought the animals TO Adam to name. So how about YOU? Won't you invite God to work WITH YOU today? WHEREVER He has placed you?

They explain how God created the universe from a single pinhead of intention — and what that means for how you create anything in your life. They share why your energy is speaking to the universe right now, not your words, and what it is actually saying. They reveal what your purpose really is and why you have been looking for the wrong thing. LESSON 110I Am As God Created Me.We will repeat today's idea from time to time. For this one thought would be enough to save you and the world, if you believed that it is true. Its truth would mean that you have made no changes in yourself that have reality, nor changed the universe so that what God created was replaced by fear and evil, misery and death. If you remain as God created you fear has no meaning, evil is not real, and misery and death do not exist.Today's idea is therefore all you need to let complete correction heal your mind, and give you perfect vision that will heal all the mistakes that any mind has made at any time or place. It is enough to heal the past and make the future free. It is enough to let the present be accepted as it is. It is enough to let time be the means for all the world to learn escape from time, and every change that time appears to bring in passing by.If you remain as God created you, appearances cannot replace the truth, health cannot turn to sickness, nor can death be substitute for life, or fear for love. All this has not occurred, if you remain as God created you. You need no thought but just this one, to let redemption come to light the world and free it from the past.In this one thought is all the past undone; the present saved to quietly extend into a timeless future. If you are as God created you, then there has been no separation of your mind from His, no split between your mind and other minds, and only unity within your own.The healing power of today's idea is limitless. It is the birthplace of all miracles, the great restorer of the truth to the awareness of the world. Practice today's idea with gratitude. This is the truth that comes to set you free. This is the truth that God has promised you. This is the Word in which all sorrow ends. For your five-minute practice periods, begin with this quotation from the text:I am as God created me.His Son can suffer nothing. And I am His Son.Then, with this statement firmly in your mind, try to discover in your mind the Self Who is the holy Son of God Himself.Seek Him within you who is Christ in you, the Son of God and brother to the world; the Savior Who has been forever saved, with power to save whoever touches Him, however lightly, asking for the Word that tells him he is brother unto Him.You are as God created you. Today honor your Self. Let graven images you made to be the Son of God instead of what he is be worshipped not today. Deep in your mind the holy Christ in you is waiting your acknowledgment as you. And you are lost and do not know yourself while He is unacknowledged and unknown.Seek Him today, and find Him. He will be your Savior from all idols you have made. For when you find Him, you will understand how worthless are your idols, and how false the images which you believed were you. Today we make a great advance to truth by letting idols go, and opening our hands and hearts and minds to God today. We will remember Him throughout the day with thankful hearts and loving thoughts for all who meet with us today. For it is thus that we remember Him. And we will say, that we may be reminded of His Son, our holy Self, the Christ in each of us:I am as God created me.Let us declare this truth as often as we can. This is the Word of God that sets you free. This is the key that opens up the gate of Heaven, and that lets you enter in the peace of God and His eternity.- Jesus Christ in ACIM
