It's not enough to describe the world we live in, the world that was created as "perfect". Genesis 1 shows us at least three good things about this world - its real, it's ordered, and it's good. It's a home, and that is what is should feel like. That uncanny feeling that you don't belong can only get fixed with the stranger who made this place his home. This episode invites seekers to reflect on their place in the cosmic plan and understand how every experience—joyful or painful—serves a higher spiritual purpose.  Building upon our previous episodes on the soul's identity and divine energies, this discussion deepens your understanding of creation as a sacred opportunity for growth, surrender, and reunion with the Divine. Your Son, my Father, calls on You today. Let me remember You created me. Let me remember my Identity. And let my sinlessness arise again before Christ's vision, through which I would look upon my brothers and myself today. Now is our Source remembered, and Therein we find our true Identity at last. Holy indeed are we, because our Source can know no sin. And we who are His Sons are like each other, and alike to Him.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

Genesis chapter one is the testimony of creation. By God's authority, out of His will, and according to His command, He created all things. As with all of scripture, Genesis chapter one is a testimony of God that reveals His authority, will, and nature. It is not a story about men but a testimony to who God is and how He is working.Genesis chapter one does not answer every detail you may wish were included. There are many questions about how God accomplished His work that are left unanswered. Not the least of which is how God created all that is from nothing. In His perfect providence, God has given us His word to declare that He is the author and creator of all things while leaving unanswered the mysteries that the mind of man cannot conceive. Genesis chapter one is a foundational text for a Christian worldview and many of the most fundamental doctrines. From Genesis chapter one, Pastor Ben Smith preaches on how God's creation forms how Christians understand God and all that He has made.Find Out More:Ben Smith is the pastor of Central Baptist Church, Waycross, GA.Additional podcasts, books, and downloadable PDFs of Pastor Ben's sermon outlines and manuscripts are available at http://bensmithsr.org.You can find information about Central Baptist Church at cbcwaycross.org.This sermon was originally preached on 8/17/2025.Special thanks to David Carnes for his beautiful rendition of This Is My Father's World from the album Journey… a Praise Offering. Every time you make God less; you dishonor him, you diminish yourself and open your life to disorder and disruption. When you invite God into your life and give him the honor and glory due to him, you open yourself up to God's power at work in your life.

God Created Doctors Too!Sirach 38:12-14 “Then give the physician his place, for the Lord created him; do not let him leave you, for you need him. There may come a time when recovery lies in the hands of physicians, for they too pray to the Lord that he grant them success in diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.”This week I got the opportunity to go to the beach with a few friends. I don't often go to the beach, especially not in the middle of the week, and it was a really great time. What made this trip to the beach extra special was that we started our day at the beach with some faith sharing. The theme for mentoring this month is Godly Friendships, and so I want to take a minute to thank the Lord for these ladies. Ours truly is a Godly friendship. We pray together, we pray for each other and our families, we build each other up, we encourage each other, and we help each other become more holy. We always point each other back to Jesus. It is so important that we all have people in our lives like this. We all need others to pray for and with us. We need people we can talk to about anything, especially our faith journey. We need people we can be open and honest with about our faith journey. Those who won't judge us, but will encourage us and help us when we are struggling. On that beach, we each took 10 minutes or so and talked about what is going on in our faith journey. We talked about our blessings and our struggles, and then we prayed into those struggles. It really was beautiful. While we were talking, someone mentioned this verse in Sirach. The Lord brought it to my mind this morning during Adoration, and so I thought I would share it with you. I know several people right now who are struggling with physical ailments. They have been to all the doctors, and either the doctors can't figure out what is wrong with them, or they do know, but they haven't come up with a suitable treatment plan. There are also some who know exactly what is wrong, but there is no human cure for it, and so they are waiting for the Lord to miraculously heal them.Today, I want to talk to those of you who are fed up with the doctors and just want to be healed already. I know some of you are so frustrated because you have been praying for the Lord to heal you for a long time now, and you haven't seen any fruit from those prayers. You have been asking for a miraculous healing, and those prayers seem to have gone unanswered. If this is you, then this message is definitely for you today. If you have been praying for someone who has been struggling for a very long time and has not seen answers to prayers, then this is for you, too!The verse above says, “Then give the physician his place, for the Lord created him; do not let him leave you, for you need him. There may come a time when recovery lies in the hands of physicians, for they too pray to the Lord that he grant them success in diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.” We would all like to be miraculously and instantaneously healed by Jesus. However, this verse is telling us that the Lord created physicians, and sometimes we need them. The verse tells us that we should not let them leave us because we need them. It says that there may come a time when recovery lies in the hands of the physicians.I know this is not what some of you wanted to hear from the Lord today. I know many of you are frustrated with the physicians you are seeing. You are frustrated with the lack of answers, or you are frustrated with the answers they are giving you. You don't like their plan. Some of you are also scared. You have a long history with doctors or surgeries, and you do not want to try again. If this is you, I am so sorry. I am sorry for all your past trauma with doctors or surgeries. I am sorry for all the current pain you are experiencing or the circumstances you are facing. You may have a good reason to mistrust your doctor. I am not trying to second-guess you. If you need to find a new doctor, pray that the Lord points you to the right one. All I felt like the Lord wanted me to share with you today was that he created everything, including doctors.I like where the verse says, “for they too pray to the Lord that he grant them succession diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.” We tend to think we need to be for medicine and doctors or for God. Often, we put them on opposing sides, and we say that if we really believed in God, we wouldn't need to go to the doctor because our faith would heal us. Did you know that two things can be true at the same time? For instance, you can be happy and sad at the same time. I am happy that my son is starting a new year of college. I am happy that he is going to college in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity to travel, grow more independent, and get a good college education. And also I am sad because it means I will not get to see him for 3 and a half months. Both things are true. The same is true with faith and medicine. You can have faith that God will heal you and still take that medicine, still see that doctor, still do the treatments prescribed. You don't have to choose one or the other. I think God is reassuring us of this in Sirach 38. He wants us to know that he created doctors, and he uses doctors to heal people. We will ask others to pray over us for a healing, right? Why do we do that? We ask others to pray over us because we know that God can use anyone to heal us. He can use a priest with the anointing of the sick. He can use your mom, dad, or even a friend. He can use someone from the church or someone who has a healing charism. God can use literally anyone, or no one, to heal you. He could just heal you in your sleep without anyone praying over you. If we have enough faith to believe that God can use anyone to heal us, then why are we sad or disappointed when He uses a doctor? It can still be a miraculous healing even if it was done through a doctor or through medicine. Go back and listen to the Witness Wednesday from yesterday, August 13th, 2025. I believe it is Witness Wednesday #172. There was a man in the article who had stage 4 cancer. It was a particularly treatment-resistant type. The doctor wanted to try a hormonal treatment along with the chemo to shrink the tumor. He took the medicine, and in three months the tumor was gone. That is still a miracle, no matter how you look at it. It doesn't matter that it was through medicine, and it doesn't matter that it was by a doctor. The tumor went away. Hallelujah!! God is so good!I pray that when you hear this episode today, you stop and take a minute to thank God for the doctors and all medical professionals in this world. I pray that you thank him for your doctors, and if you think you need new ones, now is a perfect time to ask Him to bring the right doctors into your life. I also pray you cut yourself some slack and realize that you don't have to do anything to heal yourself. Just keep asking God for what you need, and I promise HE WILL PROVIDE! He always does!!Dear heavenly Father, I ask that you be with all those listening. Lord, please come to the rescue of all those who are suffering. Lord, if you want to heal them through a doctor, please put the right doctor in their path. If you want to heal them miraculously right now, we are good with that, too! Lord, you know the plans you have for us. Please help us hold on until those good, good plans you have for us come into fruition. Southwest Bible Fellowship

Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14) You can donate to this ministry through www.butnow.org and the PayPal button on the homepage.

Lesson of the Day 162 - I Am As God Created Me with Teachers of God

LESSON 162I Am As God Created Me.This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world. From time to time we will repeat it, as we reach another stage in learning. It will mean far more to you as you advance. These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made. By them it disappears, and all things seen within its misty clouds and vaporous illusions vanish as these words are spoken. For they come from God.Here is the Word by which the Son became His Father's happiness, His Love and His completion. Here creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is. There is no dream these words will not dispel; no thought of sin and no illusion which the dream contains that will not fade away before their might. They are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world. The dead awake in answer to its call. And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death.Holy indeed is he who makes these words his own; arising with them in his mind, recalling them throughout the day, at night bringing them with him as he goes to sleep. His dreams are happy and his rest secure, his safety certain and his body healed, because he sleeps and wakens with the truth before him always. He will save the world, because he gives the world what he receives each time he practices the words of truth.Today we practice simply. For the words we use are mighty, and they need no thoughts beyond themselves to change the mind of him who uses them. So wholly is it changed that it is now the treasury in which God places all His gifts and all His Love, to be distributed to all the world, increased in giving; kept complete because its sharing is unlimited. And thus you learn to think with God. Christ's vision has restored your sight by salvaging your mind.We honor you today. Yours is the right to perfect holiness you now accept. With this acceptance is salvation brought to everyone, for who could cherish sin when holiness like this has blessed the world? Who could despair when perfect joy is yours, available to all as remedy for grief and misery, all sense of loss, and for complete escape from sin and guilt? And who would not be brother to you now; you, his redeemer and his savior. Who could fail to welcome you into his heart with loving invitation, eager to unite with one like him in holiness? You are as God created you. These words dispel the night, and darkness is no more. The light is come today to bless the world. For you have recognized the Son of God, and in that recognition is the world's.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

We've got believers walking around as if aging is supposed to mean surrender. That pain is a permanent sentence. That breakdown is normal. What if that's not how the system works at all? Kevin Lucas joins me with a wild testimony—abuse, chronic pain, and a breakthrough that rewired how I think about healing. What he discovered lines up with what the Bible has said all along: God engineered the human body with a recovery system. It's time we started using it.

Genesis tells us that God “created them male and female.” This clashes with the secular view that's popular today.
