God creates order in our lives so that it may be filled with abundance to fulfill the purpose God has for us. We see this pattern in the account of creation in Genesis where God remakes what is in formless and void. In the first three days of creation God creates order. In the next three days God fills the order of each those corresponding days with abundance. On day seven God rests and celebrates the fullness of creation. This pattern is evident in our relationship with God. As we follow the order God has for our lives, God fills it with the abundance of the life and nature of Christ. When Jesus calls us to follow Him, He is calling us to order our lives that we may be led and strengthened by His Holy Spirit. With His order in our lives He makes provision for us, and from our abundance we can be generous toward others.

I AM AS GOD CREATED ME. This Lesson, repeated three times in the Workbook, is a simple statement of the truth. Can we receive it in it's full force to transform our life into something of peace and joy? This statement undoes all other projections of a "false self we made up." It removes our ego self long enough to see that it was never real. We have to let go and let the Truth of who we are into our awareness. In everyday life we can make contact with this Self Identity. It is essential that we do so, and release all the false notions of a self that decays, withers and dies.
Do you find yourself searching for the next "current event" and how it relates to the Bible? How about we take a pause and get back to a "first things first" mentality? What do you think about the fact that God created you? How He made you with a distinct purpose and with an ability to think, create, grow, and reason? How honest are you with yourself when you ponder these things? He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that redstew! I'm famished!” Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.”Genesis 25:32-35 “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is thebirthright to me?” But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Our devotional focuses on the starfish, which leads us to arts and crafts, where we create a starfish craft. Next, we discuss a fun fraction game called Cyber Fractions. After that, we begin our interview with Jodi Hendrick. She asks, "Who was this broken woman staring back at me?" I didn't recognize her through all the filters she had put on_filters that years of toxic relationships, societal lies, and insecurities had developed and adopted, ultimately distorting the original masterpiece into something far from its intended form.
Questions about whether God creating everything means he created evil too, and how a grief counselor can answer a question about whether God causes or allows death and sickness. How should my daughter answer a friend at school who said, “If God created everything, he must have created evil too, like cancer, right?” As a grief counselor, how should I answer this question I'm often faced with: Does God cause or allow death and sickness?
Genesis 1:1-2 reveals fundamental truths about God's nature and His relationship with creation. As the eternal, all-powerful Creator, God intentionally formed everything from nothing, establishing order from chaos. His creative work mirrors His redemptive work in human lives, bringing light to darkness and order to chaos. The Spirit of God, present at creation, continues to transform lives today, breathing new life into believers and restoring what was broken.

December 1, 2024 | The Gift | Luke 2:8-20 & Genesis 1 In this message, we explore the incredible truth that God created us for relationship with Him. Through the incarnation of Jesus, God made a way for us to be in a personal, intimate relationship with Him, not based on performance or religious rituals, but on His unbreakable love. Jesus is the greatest gift, given freely, to restore the relationship we were made for. The goal of salvation isn't just belief, but knowing God intimately, experiencing His love and grace every day.
December 1, 2024 | The Gift | Luke 2 & Genesis 1 In this message, we explore the Gospel's central theme: God created us for a relationship with Him, but that relationship was interrupted by sin. We dive into the story of the shepherds in Luke 2 and how God sent messengers to deliver this life-changing message of salvation. We're entrusted with this same message today—sharing the hope of Jesus with a broken world. Are we faithfully deliver the greatest Gift ever given?
