Police Box in the Junkyard Podcast

Our TARDIS has finally landed again. This time in 1930s Berlin for the fantastic Big Finish set "Doctor Who - The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield - Blood and Steel" featuring the incomparable David Warner as the Doctor and Lisa Bowerman (who else?) as his greatest companion Benny.

This time our ever wondering TARDIS crash lands in the spin off universe for a review of an episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures. We watched "The Nightmare Man" and may have a few of our own after reading this month's EXTRA comic strip from the pages of TV Comic it's: The Space Pirates (not to be confused with the TV story of the same name). Join us for loads of fun on the outer rim of the Whoniverse.

The TARDIS has landed on the 6th moon of Jupiter, and what have we found... it's Matthew Kresel or at least a very convincing copy of him.  That explains why he hasn't been on the show for a while.  Also, while we're here, let's indulge in an exciting one-off adventure with the Twelfth Doctor entitled "Death Among the Stars." This is an audio adventure from 2017 and part of the BBC Audio Adventure series.  It was written by (one of our favs) Steve Lyons and read to us by the only Nicola Bryant (Peri).  Join us for a rollicking adventure featuring the Kennedy Space Center, a great single-serving companion, clones, monsters, and an appearance by the king of rock and roll.

This month we're taking an in-depth look at the television story "The Time Warrior" via the Black Archive book series from Obverse Books. "The Black Archive #24 - The Time Warrior" by Matthew Kilburn is a look back at the Third Doctor favorite from a historical perspective and analyzes its roots in classical literature. We also take a few minutes to discuss the first four parts of the Doctor Who Magazine comic adventure "The Liberation of the Daleks," which is the first official adventure by David Tennant's Fourteenth Doctor.
