Today's Headlines: The Pentagon finally broke out the spreadsheet: 140 U.S. troops wounded in the Iran war, 8 seriously, 108 back on duty. On the diplomatic side, Russia — yes, Russia — proposed a UN ceasefire resolution, because apparently Putin has opinions about attacking civilian infrastructure now. North Korea's Kim Jong Un called the strikes "illegal," which is a bold choice of words from a guy who just test-fired nuclear-capable cruise missiles for fun. The Trump administration quietly asked Israel to lay off Iran's oil infrastructure. Turns out when you're eyeing post-war economic arrangements, blowing up the oil fields isn't what you want. In “let's make things worse” news, Senator Lindsey Graham hit Fox News with a "FREE CUBA" hat and ominous promises that Cuba's "liberation" is coming, then swapped it for a "Make Iran Great Again" hat. Separately, Trump's DOJ has been quietly hunting for criminal charges against Cuba's top leaders since February — because why not? Meanwhile, the FBI has lost 300 counterterrorism agents since January, 45 fired, with sources warning the country is now "dangerously exposed." Cool. Meanwhile, New Mexico authorities are searching Jeffrey Epstein's Zorro Ranch after allegations that two girls may be buried there. The ranch is now owned by a Republican ex-Texas state senator running for comptroller, whose son works in the Trump administration. Anthropic has filed two lawsuits against the Pentagon after being designated a supply chain risk in what it calls ideological retaliation. That designation has never been used against an American company before. On the Ticketmaster front: the DOJ settled its antitrust case, but most of the 40 states involved aren't buying it. A federal judge is telling them to accept or negotiate by the end of this week. Finally, the special election for Marjorie Taylor Greene's Georgia seat ended without a winner. The April 7 runoff will pit Trump-endorsed Republican Clay Fuller against Democrat Shawn Harris — a cattle farmer and retired brigadier general who actually out-performed the Trump pick. In MTG's own district. Interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=598UtgxFd1E From Jan 6, 2019. The distances between stars are so vast, it's hard to wrap your mind around it. Even our far flung Voyagers have barely reached interstellar space, and would take tens of thousands of years to get to even the nearest star. But scientists and engineers are considering what it would actually take to send a spacecraft to another star. In this March 11 episode of Badlands Daily, CannCon and Ashe in America begin with light morning banter before diving into a growing discussion about election investigations tied to Maricopa County, Arizona. The hosts react to reports that the FBI is in possession of election materials connected to the county and explore what that could mean as multiple investigations continue to unfold. The conversation expands into the discovery of previously hidden FBI investigations tied to President Trump, including a case reportedly uncovered within restricted FBI systems. CannCon and Ashe discuss how internal whistleblowers and investigators are now surfacing documents that had allegedly been buried within the bureau's internal databases. They also examine claims that congressional investigators and federal authorities may be coordinating on a broader review of election administration in multiple states. The discussion focuses on whether Arizona represents only the beginning of a multi phase effort to investigate election procedures across the country.

Renewed scrutiny has focused on Jeffrey Epstein's sprawling property in New Mexico, where investigators are now attempting to determine whether the ranch played a larger role in his trafficking operation than was previously examined. The renewed attention follows the release of millions of previously sealed government records related to Epstein. State authorities in New Mexico have reopened an investigation into the property after learning that earlier inquiries into alleged criminal activity there were halted years ago, leaving the ranch largely unexplored by law enforcement even as allegations mounted that underage girls were transported to the location.Officials and lawmakers in the state are now trying to reconstruct what may have occurred at the property despite the passage of time. The ranch has changed ownership and years have elapsed since the alleged crimes, which could make it difficult to recover physical evidence. Even so, investigators believe interviews with former employees, contractors, and witnesses could still provide insight into how the property was used. Authorities are also reviewing earlier tips that were reportedly passed to federal investigators, including a claim from 2019 alleging that the bodies of two young women may have been buried near the ranch—an allegation that had not previously led to a full search of the property.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Investigators are finally looking into Jeffrey Epstein's New Mexico ranch. Today's Headlines: The Middle East conflict has rapidly expanded to 12 countries in under 72 hours, with six U.S. troops killed after an Iranian strike hit an operations center in Kuwait. President Donald Trump signaled the fighting is far from over, saying Operation “EPIC FURY” could last four to five weeks and will continue “as long as necessary.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that “the hardest hits are yet to come,” while Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine cautioned the operation will be “difficult and gritty” and likely involve additional U.S. losses. The State Department is urging Americans to evacuate more than a dozen countries, and U.S. cities are on heightened alert, according to FBI Director Kash Patel. In a twist, the Pentagon reportedly used Anthropic's Claude AI model in the Iran strikes — despite the administration recently clashing with the company and canceling contracts. Abroad, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Ukrainian drone experts will assist Gulf nations in intercepting Iranian drones, as Russia ramps up missile attacks on Ukraine. In Epstein news, federal prosecutors under Trump in 2019 reportedly took over New Mexico's investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's Zorro Ranch. The state's attorney general has now reopened the probe, and the House Oversight Committee released video testimony from Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. Meanwhile, the Justice Department is also expected to drop appeals defending Trump-era executive orders that targeted major law firms. And finally, Rep. Nancy Mace is under House Ethics Committee investigation over nearly $9,500 in alleged excess reimbursements. In 2019, federal prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York asked New Mexico authorities to stop their own sex trafficking investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's sprawling Zorro Ranch, located south of Santa Fe, in an effort to avoid potential conflicts with the federal case and the risk of “inconsistent statements” from parallel investigations. At the time, then-New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas agreed to pause the state probe and share investigative materials — including police reports and witness interviews — with the federal team, with the understanding that federal prosecutors would provide information back that could support potential state charges. However, Balderas has since said he is unaware of any substantial information ever being shared back to New Mexico that could have led to prosecutions at the state level before Epstein's death in August 2019.The now-released correspondence shows that the federal request effectively “gutted” New Mexico's investigation, and Balderas has described the cooperation as essentially one-way. Records also reveal he urged federal authorities to seize the ranch and offered assistance to execute warrants, but received no response, and none of the material New Mexico sent appears among the files released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. In light of the newly disclosed DOJ records, current New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has announced that the state is reopening its investigation into alleged trafficking at Zorro Ranch, and a bipartisan legislative truth-finding commission has been formed to subpoena witnesses and gather testimony as part of renewed scrutiny of activities tied to Epstein's former property.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Feds asked New Mexico to halt Jeffrey Epstein Zorro Ranch sex trafficking probe, records show
Last month, former San Leandro Councilman Bryan Azevedo pleaded guilty in a federal court to two counts of corruption in connection with accepting a bribe from local businessmen.Azevedo has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in an ongoing federal corruption probe that has already led to indictments against former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao, her partner, Andre Jones, and Andy and David Duong, the owners of California Waste Solutions -- Oakland's largest recycling contractor. Their trials are scheduled for the fall. But Azevedo's plea has raised speculation about the nature of the ongoing probe and also raised the possibility that other current or former local elected officials are being investigated for possible wrongdoing.Nathan Gartrell is an award-winning reporter for the East Bay Times, who covers state and federal courts in Northern California. It's no longer speculation. D4VD — the "Romantic Homicide" singer whose Tesla contained the dismembered remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez — has been officially designated as the target of a murder investigation.Unsealed court documents filed in Texas reveal the Los Angeles County DA's office identified David Anthony Burke as the target of its grand jury inquiry. The filings allege he "may be involved in having committed... One count of Murder." DA Nathan Hochman confirmed the allegation. Deputy DA Beth Silverman is leading the prosecution. The documents became public after D4VD's family — father Dawud, mother Colleen, and brother Caleb — challenged subpoenas ordering them to testify. Texas courts denied their petitions. A temporary stay was granted on appeal, but not before the sealed filings were exposed. What those filings describe is horrific. Celeste's head and torso were found in a cadaver bag in the front trunk of D4VD's Tesla. Her severed arms and legs were in a second bag. The car had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills since late July 2025. It was towed after neighbors reported a foul odor. The grand jury has heard from D4VD's manager, who admitted he didn't call police because he wanted the tour to continue. His friend Neo Langston was arrested in Montana for ignoring a subpoena. Investigators found a burn cage and chainsaw at the rental property. Police believe D4VD likely had help.Celeste went to see a movie with D4VD in April 2024 and never came home. She was last photographed alive January 2, 2025. In light of the newly disclosed DOJ records, current New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has announced that the state is reopening its investigation into alleged trafficking at Zorro Ranch, and a bipartisan legislative truth-finding commission has been formed to subpoena witnesses and gather testimony as part of renewed scrutiny of activities tied to Epstein's former property.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Feds asked New Mexico to halt Jeffrey Epstein Zorro Ranch sex trafficking probe, records showBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Former President Bill Clinton testified under subpoena in a closed-door deposition before the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his network. Over about six hours of questioning in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton repeatedly denied any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities, emphasized that their interactions were limited and long predating Epstein's known crimes, and stressed he “did nothing wrong.” He said he saw “nothing” that gave him pause, may say “I don't recall” on old interactions, and maintained that any association ended years before Epstein's first criminal conviction. Clinton also defended his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had testified a day earlier and said she had no meaningful connection to Epstein.Republicans on the committee used the deposition to probe Clinton's past travel on Epstein's plane and old photos released in the Epstein Files, while Democrats framed the testimony as part of a broader push for transparency and have called for other high-profile figures, including President Donald Trump, to testify as well. Clinton's testimony marked the first time a former U.S. president was compelled to testify before Congress under subpoena in this context, and the committee may release the transcript or video publicly at its discretionto contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Bill Clinton faces grilling from lawmakers over Epstein ties | AP News

Recently released federal documents revealed that Jeffrey Epstein had been the subject of a previously undisclosed Drug Enforcement Administration investigation beginning in 2010 that examined potential drug trafficking and prostitution-related financial activity tied to the U.S. Virgin Islands and New York. The 69-page memo, heavily redacted and marked “law enforcement sensitive,” identified Epstein and more than a dozen others as targets within an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces probe that reportedly remained active for years. Despite the scope suggested by the document, no drug trafficking charges were ever brought, prompting Sen. Ron Wyden to demand fuller disclosure and an explanation of why the investigation did not result in prosecutions.Separately, documents released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act included a photograph of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick standing with Epstein on Little St. James, Epstein's private Caribbean island. The image was initially made public within the Justice Department's online archive before being temporarily removed and later restored, raising questions about how Epstein-related records are curated and reviewed. The brief removal triggered bipartisan calls for clarification, with critics questioning the explanation that the image had been flagged under standard review procedures. Together, the disclosures added to broader concerns about transparency, oversight, and the handling of evidence connected to Epstein's network and associations.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Senator calls for DEA to provide info on "incredibly disturbing" Epstein drug investigation - CBS NewsPhoto of Lutnick on Epstein's island removed from Justice Department files now restored - CBS News
