What a great SURPRISE from family yesterday. We were expecting our nephew Joshua and his son Jeremy…they showed up…and with them our niece Nikki and her husband and children and with them our nephew Shane's daughter! At Wickham Park there was a Food Fest & Crafts Show. Spent a good portion of the day there. Then off to the beach and to an Indialantic Surf Shop…then to Captain Hiram's Sand Bar in Sebastian for dinner. I do hope that they will all come back soon! Our fridge is malfunctioning lately! It has the rolling temp setting dial, not digital. I set it at the recommended three dot setting and lo and behold…things inside are FREEZING UP! I check the temp dial and somehow; not by my doing or Lori's doing, the temp control is set at the coldest setting! Nothing that we can see touches it on the inside. This has happened on more than one occasion. “The 2025 Singles Release Retrospective” remembering April 2025!  Tried “Dave's Hot Chicken” yesterday. Was not expecting it to be a dry rub! The bird was full of flavor, but also full of tendons. If you are hand breading, pull the tendons before the coating process. The tendons made texture of the great flavor of the meat seem tough. The “Extra-Hot” to me was just over mild…but I do prefer “Wing Stops” Atomic or their Haunted Habanero! Not enough “Dave's Sauce” was issued…but even with this being just MY OPINION…the place was PACKED! Families, groups of friends, groups of co-workers. They must be doing something that the masses like. On a 1 to 10 scale, I give it a solid 7. But that's just me. They have just opened.
