I am learning different coping mechanisms to help with emotions I will never get over, but I've come upon the realization that although friendships do not last, what comes out of it will. Dating in this day and age as a black women is very interesting. I dive into talking about peoples opinions and preferences then comparing them to my own as a 20-year-old. This is kind of a light-hearted look at the pet peeves and opinions I've had over the years as an adopted kid. As a 20-year-old, I've heard and experienced a lot when it coming to adoption. I find that the topic of adoption is overwhelmingly taken over by parents of adoptees as opposed to adoptees themselves in a relatable and genuine way.
