Season 4, Episode 1: Courtney Guhl has a heart for giving back. That, along with her training and certifications, makes her a very dangerous (and impactful) soldier in the battle against mental illness. Courtney, owner of Terra Therapies in Fort Worth and a licensed counselor and therapist, wants to destroy the stigma surrounding mental illness. How do we do that? Courtney: "It starts with talking about it." Needless to say, she was the perfect guest to kick off Season 4 of Sixes. #mentalhealth– Terra Therapies: https://terratherapiestx.com– Random Acts of Kindness Foundation: https://www.randomactsofkindness.org– Season 2 (Black Lives Matter): https://www.spreaker.com/show/sixes-same-but-differentMusic: Purple Planet

Season 3, Episode 6: Maurice Jelks grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. But despite living in a predominately black neighborhood and being bused to a school with mostly white kids, Maurice didn't see color. He was full of hope and didn't believe the chatter from some family members, who called white people "blue-eyed devils." But that doesn't mean Maurice Jelks never experienced discrimination and hate because of the color of his skin. That doesn't mean that Maurice Jelks didn't cry when George Floyd was killed. That doesn't mean that Maurice Jelks isn't forced to have the hard conversations with his two sons about a problem that continues to plague our country. The hope is still there, but now it's a little more guarded. This is a powerful episode to bring Season 3 of "Sixes" to an end. #amplifyblackvoices

Season 3, Episode 5: We continue to amplify black voices on this six-part series. My featured guest on Episode 5 is DeAndre Black. I was intrigued to visit with DeAndre - mainly because of his age (he's the youngest guest in Season 3) and he didn't grow up in Texas, like the rest of my Season 3 guests. He definitely brought a different perspective to the table. #sixes
