For many, food often represents more than just “something to eat”. For some, food is an expression of culture and a way to value centuries old traditions through recipes. For others, food is directly correlated to well-being and health, a way to nourish their body and provide them with the nutrients for a healthy lifestyle. However, food can most often draw upon the senses and be associated with a memory or a feeling, drawing them closer to their roots and childhood. An orchestra plays in harmonious symphony to create auditory art that stimulates the senses. However, if a single note is played off-key or if the strings of a violin are not correctly tuned, the success of the entire performance can be derailed. While there are many different sounds that contribute to an orchestra, sometimes it's the faintest sounds that have the largest impact on forging synergy and collaboration of the composition. These sounds are similar to the integral role played by partner growers to support the success of Mucci Farms. The post EP 12: Grower Spotlight ~ Mike Del Ciancio appeared first on SPILL THE GREENS.

From ensuring the car has a full tank of gas to testing brake lights, there are many moving parts that contribute to a proper functioning vehicle. With regular maintenance and upkeep, a car will generally stay running throughout the duration of the trip and serve as a reliable means for transportation. Much like a vehicle, the human body requires regular maintenance to keep functioning from day to day and it will send us signs in the form of a “warning light” when things are “off”. Building a greenhouse is similar to putting together a puzzle with a multitude of pieces. Each piece plays an integral role in the final product.
