From Fashion Dreams to Boutique RealityWhat happens when your fashion dreams collide with the reality of motherhood and entrepreneurship? In this captivating conversation, Kelly Kirk welcomes Allyson, the creative force behind Ali Madi Boutique, who shares her extraordinary journey from corporate professional to successful fashion entrepreneur.Allyson's story begins with an epiphany during her morning commute when she realized she wasn't dreaming big enough. Despite no formal training, she pursued her lifelong passion for fashion design through late-night research sessions after putting her young children to bed. Her determination paid off spectacularly when her second collection was selected for Macy's in Beverly Hills through a Poshmark contest—an achievement most designers spend decades working toward. But the path wasn't without significant valleys. Allyson candidly reveals how she prepared an entire collection for the wrong selling season at a trade show, leaving her with inventory she couldn't sell for six months. Then COVID struck just as she was pivoting to wholesale. These setbacks, rather than destroying her business, became transformative opportunities that reshaped her entire business model. Through tears, determination, and flexibility, she found unexpected success by listening to what the universe was guiding her toward. What makes this conversation truly special is Allyson's wisdom about harmonizing motherhood with entrepreneurship. She shares practical strategies like using timers for focused work sessions, embracing "organized chaos," and making peace with the fact that sometimes the most important business decision is stepping away to attend your child's event. Her approach to self-care—attempting to reclaim Sundays as a day without to-do lists—offers valuable perspective for anyone struggling with work-life boundaries. The episode also explores Allyson's refreshing philosophy on competition: "You are not in competition with anyone else except yourself." She describes how collaborating with other boutique owners, rather than viewing them as rivals, has created community and opportunity for everyone involved.Ready to believe in yourself and pursue what lights you up? Listen now and discover how confidence, passion, and the willingness to pivot can transform your journey.Connect with Allyson:Website: Ali Madi BoutiqueFacebook: Ali Madi BoutiqueIG: @alimadi_boutiqueContact the Host, Kelly Kirk: Email: info.ryh7@gmail.com Get Connected/Follow: IG: @ryh_pod & @thekelly.tanke.kirk Facebook: Reclaiming Your Hue Facebook Page YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/@RYHReclaimingYourHue Credits: Editor: Joseph Kirk Music: Kristofer Tanke Thanks for listening & cheers to Reclaiming Your Hue!

Haulcy.
Sloppy seams. Sagging walls. Zero strategy. If your booth looks like you don't care, that's exactly what your audience will believe.Too many companies treat trade shows like a checkbox, not a channel. They work with order takers, cut corners to save costs, and focus on the wrong things… then wonder why the event didn't deliver. But on the floor, it shows. Dull design. Generic messaging. An experience no one remembers. And the worst part? You're spending real money on that.In this episode, Pablo Gonzalez joins Matt to talk through what a high-impact booth actually looks like, and how to flip the conversation from “just get it done” to “make it count.”Learn:✅ How to spot order takers vs. partners who elevate your strategy✅ What truly great booths have in common (hint: it's not the size)✅ Why booth ROI starts way before install—with the right people in the roomIf you're serious about turning your trade show into a real growth driver, start here.----------------------------------Connect with Pablo GonzalezLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/pablotheconnector/ Connect with Matt KleinrockLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/matt-kleinrock-9613b22b/ Company: https://rockwayexhibits.com/

Fallout Season 2 leans into New Vegas energy and looks ready to give Walton Goggins even more to chew on. Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight plays like a full Arkham style experience in a lighter package. World of Warcraft Midnight lands with a striking Silvermoon set piece and a clear villain in Zalatath while sparking questions about the light aligned reinforcements. Midnight launches with three raids, eight dungeons, delves, and a prey system that targets you in the open world for dynamic encounters. Housing is fully free form with place anywhere decoration, neighborhood vibes, and recipes scattered across old zones and dungeons, which brings back legacy professions and exploration. Built in raid tools and UI polish aim to raise the floor for everyone, not just add on users. Brand owned shows like BlizzCon deliver clarity, atmosphere, and community rituals. Trade shows give reach and variety but can dilute focus. Memorable Quotes “Hollow Knight Silksong got a release date. I am beyond excited.” “Lego Batman is straight up a new Arkham game. Who knew that would be the most complete Batman experience.” “Lor'themar finally got his moment to be the badass I always wanted him to be.” “Three raids at launch is a return to a cadence that actually fits how people play now.” “Housing should pull you back into old Azeroth and make those zones feel alive again.” Call to Action Enjoyed the episode? No, not this podcast... but the recordings we got while with the AMAZING people of exocad (https://exocad.com/) at IDS 2025. It was a wonderful trip and we got to meet and talk to a lot of fantastic people from around the world. This week is no different as we meet a married couple that met in a lab, married, and now own a lab. Agata Bak is from Poland but went to London to find more opportunities for dental technology. Iman Ansari is from Iran and also ended up in London. They both worked at the same lab and it took Iman a while to win Agata over, but he did, and they fell in love. After getting married and working at a few other labs, they put everything on the line and opened Black Pearl Dental Lab (https://www.instagram.com/agatabak.dt/reels/?hl=am-et) where they specialize in high end fixed work. Then we meet the past President of exocad (https://exocad.com/) North America Larry Bodony. Larry recently retired but still stopped by to tell us the awesome story on how he got the job when at IDS 2011. Taking a chance on a new design software and them taking a chance on Larry, set into motion of growing exocad in North America. It took time and work, but soon exocad was gaining popularity. Larry talks about those early years, his use of "reverse" tradeshows, and now that he is retired, working with another new exciting software Bite Finder (https://bite-finder.com/?v=0b3b97fa6688). In a fast-paced fall event season, where overlapping trade shows can overwhelm even seasoned marketers, Sam Littlefield, President and CEO of Littlefield Agency, joins Technology Reseller News Publisher Doug Green to share fresh strategies for cutting through the noise. Founded in 1980 and based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Littlefield Agency specializes in complex B2B manufacturer and financial institution marketing, earning recognition as a Top 25 B2B agency in the U.S. Littlefield stresses that while many companies lead with features, real engagement starts by identifying and communicating the customer's pain points and high-level benefits. At trade shows and in campaigns, simplification is key—one clear message beats a crowded wall of technical specs. Once prospects are deeper in the sales funnel, feature details have their place, but early messaging should focus on the “problem solved” for the buyer. The discussion dives into AI's role in modern storytelling, citing a striking example of an entirely AI-generated “Liquid Death” commercial that captured national attention. For Littlefield, AI isn't replacing agencies but is expanding creative possibilities—allowing brands to produce more content, faster, at lower cost, while still requiring human insight for strategy and authenticity. He advises companies to experiment widely with AI and digital platforms, from connected TV campaigns to imperfect but relatable social videos, in order to adapt to shifting buyer expectations, especially from millennials and Gen Z. Whether it's using AI to refine creative ideas, producing authentic short-form videos, or tightening messaging for the trade show floor, Littlefield's advice is clear: test, learn, and embrace new tools while keeping storytelling grounded in the real customer experience. In-person meetings will always be the gold standard for building relationships. But in B2B, you can't always sit across the table right away. Too many event programs are spread thin, under-resourced, and missing the mark. Budgets get diluted, sales handoffs break down, and strategy never makes it past the slide deck. When that happens, even the best-looking booth or smoothest show can't deliver meaningful results…. and event teams get stuck in a cycle of “just execute.”At CEMA Summit 2025, Matt Kleinrock, Coty Adams, and Mollie Stahl saw firsthand how top event marketers are breaking that cycle and leveling up from order-takers to strategic growth drivers. SummaryIn the latest episode of Service Evolution, host Jim Robinson sits down with powerhouse marketer and marketing director of IDIQ, Sarah Williams, to unravel the unique challenges and strategies for marketing in the trades. With decades of industry experience and a proven track record, Sarah delivers a goldmine of actionable insights for business owners looking to level up their marketing game. One central theme is the gap that trade professionals often face when bridging hands-on expertise with modern marketing best practices. As Sarah points out, knowing your craft inside and out doesn't automatically translate into knowing how to run meta ads, execute effective email campaigns, or navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape. She emphasizes the importance of targeting marketing efforts locally, since most trade businesses serve specific geographic areas where word-of-mouth and community relationships still reign supreme.Additionally, Sarah and Jim dive deep into how the trades differ from other industries, especially when it comes to urgency-based buying and the need for immediate solutions. They explore the pitfalls of trying to do it all yourself, warning against spreading your efforts too thin across every marketing channel. Instead, Sarah recommends focusing on one or two platforms that best reach your target audience. The episode also offers a reality check on trade show investments, the value of strategic planning, and actionable tips for smaller companies to compete with larger players. With humor and real-world anecdotes, Sarah wraps up by stressing that marketing is a long game built on relationships, consistency, and a willingness to stand out, even in unexpected ways.
