Carminati nega ogni addebito e verrà assolto dall'accusa del tentato omicidio Marchesi-Parenti grazie all'alibi del suo ricovero presso l'Ospedale Militare Celio.Tra i temi toccati durante le deposizioni: 1) «Mi ricordo di aver conosciuto abbastanza bene esclusivamente Giuseppucci. Non l'ho mai trattata»; 10) «Negli ultimi anni, tra ricoveri ospedalieri e altro, non ho proprio avuto lo spazio fisico per una attività lavorativa»; 11) «Le condizioni economiche della mia famiglia? Agiate»; 12) «Tu hai venduto carne a peso»; 13) «Il nero di Romanzo criminale? Mi prendevano in giro. Sono diventato una macchietta»; 14) «La katana che mi hanno regalato? Serve a sfilettare i tonni»; 15) L'analisi della «katana» regalata a Carminati; 16) «Sono un vecchio fascista degli anni Settanta»; 17) «Sono sempre stato ostile al traffico di stupefacenti»; 18) «E' più facile che trovino droga nelle tasche di chi mi pedina, che nelle mie»; 19) «Scamarcio e Romanzo Criminale? Chi mi conosceva, sapeva che quello era un argomento che non andava toccato»; 20) «Michele Senese? Lo conosco benissimo. Ci ho fatto tre o quattro anni a Rebibbia. E quando esce, lo vado a salutare».

Oltre a stupire mezzo mondo con le sue evasioni impossibili, si era a lungo impegnato a contrastare le truffe dei falsi medium e a sbugiardare i ciarlatani che approfittavano del dolore di chi aveva perso una persona cara promettendo contatti con l'aldilà. Tuttavia, a pochi giorni dalla sua scomparsa, iniziarono a farsi avanti numerosi medium che affermarono di avere ricevuto un autentico messaggio dallo spirito del grande mago e demistificatore di medium. Nessuno, però, sembrava in grado di offrire prove convincenti a sostegno di una simile affermazione. Fine is a 4-Letter Word is all about those moments when “fine” is just the mask we wear before life gives us a loud wake-up call.For Massimo Backus, that wake-up call came wrapped in a leadership 360 evaluation that painted a picture he didn't recognize. The team he thought he was inspiring and supporting saw someone defensive, unsafe to approach, even a bully. Gut punch, right?Raised by creative, supportive parents who met in a woodworking class over a three-legged chair, Massimo learned the values of creativity, acceptance, and generosity that would later guide his unconventional career path. He also carried the invisible weight of childhood dyslexia and a lifelong habit of needing to prove himself. That pattern followed him into adulthood and eventually showed up in how he led others.
