I bet there could be some rather entertaining conversations had through some man on the street interviews with attendees. But I'll not partake. I'll be too busy enjoying my weekend enjoying the beautiful weather sipping Trump wine, with my wonderful and talented wife.

Most recently, the average American who's gambled on something over the past year has lost an average of $750 doing so. That's a number that factors in the few who come out on top. And so how few is it? What percentage of people who gambled over the past year came out on top in the end? The answer is...4%. Yes, the old saying about the “house always wins”, most certainly still applies.

We're fortunate to live in a moment in history, in Florida and within this country, to have two of the rare leaders who're more inclined to spend 90% of their time working on moving the needle and only 10% on the nonsense.

The U.S. Dollar Index, which values the U.S. Dollar against a basket of the world's leading currencies shows that the U.S. Dollar is stronger today than it has been for all but about five years out of the past 40.

The biggest storyline in Florida's political scene continues to be the state's blue counties becoming far less blue. Palm Beach County represents one of the most significant shifts in the state. In this off-election year, changes in voter registrations will be the most visible signs of political trends within the state.

Would you rather save 141 thousand plus dollars and truly own your home with your local government(s) operating at the size and efficiency of 2019, or would you rather pay $141k, and not truly own your home, and have your local government(s) operating as they do today?

The United Nations, like many establishment institutions, has eroded public confidence and trust over time.

In the second Trump administration I'm tracking all of President Trump's executive orders. This story will be updated as he issues them. Additionally, President Trump has signed 95 presidential proclamations, 56 presidential memoranda and 9 laws.

During the Biden administration I'd regularly say that everyday Joe Biden was president of the United States the world was less safe. Every day that Donald Trump is president of the United States the world is proving to be a safer place.

The best way I know to illustrate how arbitrary the Nobel prizes are, is the example of the Academy Awards. When the Hollywood industry elites gather each year to award Oscars, they'll issue awards for the “best actor and actress” and for the “Best picture”, etc. Does that mean that the best actor over the previous year was the actor or actress was issued the award or that the “best picture” released during the year is what the Academy says it is? Of course not, right? It's what members of the Academy say is so. As we know, it's a highly subjective process. Nobel prizes are no different. They're highly subjective prizes awarded by select insiders that hold no empirical significance.

September represented another massive win for Republicans over Democrats in Florida. The Republican advantage over Democrats now stands at a record 1,387,455. That total includes a net change of 31,968 voters in September. Of Florida's 67 counties – only 8 currently have Democrat majorities by way of voter registration. It's clear that the trends that were in place prior to last year's election cycle have continued to play out after it as well.

The partial government shutdown and Trump's Chinese Tariff Polices are in Focus. The financial markets, and stock market in particular, had held up particularly well during the first week and a half of the partial government shutdown. That was not the case on Friday when President Trump's threat of imposing a new 100% tariff on Chinese imports (above and beyond current tariffs) effective November 1st was announced.

The Norwegian Nobel Institute registered a total of 338 candidates for the 2025 peace prize, of which 244 were individuals and 94 are organizations. As stated by the Nobel Committee: The Peace Prize has principally been awarded to honor efforts in four main areas: arms control and disarmament, peace negotiation, democracy and human rights, and work aimed at creating a better organized and more peaceful world. It's clearly laughable that Donald Trump didn't win.

Given that this is Hamas' charter...given that Hamas has carried out the greatest atrocities against the Jewish people since the Holocaust...given that Hamas remains the next-door neighbor of Israel and has made clear that they don't believe in ceasefires or peaceful solutions... It's appropriate to take their words at face value. They don't intend for peace. They're simply regrouping. Today is a great day, make no mistake, but this isn't the end because for those who believe as Hamas believes, the end is Jihad. Which means our willingness to keep the peace by keeping Islamic terrorists at bay will be the key to maintaining it.

Many of the headlines from over the weekend, independent of the partial government shutdown, were as instructive as they were alarming.

As of today, the partial shutdown—now in its fifth day—continues to furlough approximately 34% of the civilian federal workforce, or about 750,000 employees out of a total of roughly 2.2 million (excluding active-duty military).

Somewhat remarkably the stock market continued to climb the wall of worry last week despite headwinds from seasonality, somewhat historically high valuations and notably the partial government shutdown which had carried into this week.
