It's true that the average American, making the average full-time income can become a millionaire within 25 years & even own a home in the process. It's just math and a little dedication. Here's how to make it happen...

The fix has been in on healthcare since March 23rd, 2010. That's the day that Barack Obama signed into law the ACA and all the lies that came along with it. It wasn't true that the law made healthcare affordable. It wasn't true that if you liked your existing health insurance plan, you could keep it. It wasn't true that if you liked your doctor, you'd still be able to keep seeing him (or her). What was true was that one of the greatest corporate welfare projects in American history, if not the largest, was set into motion and along with it a guarantee that there would be less healthcare affordability.

First, preseason hurricane forecasting is based on numerous assumptions about weather patterns and oceans temps, etc. It's not necessarily surprising that after numerous years of elevated activity forecasters generally errored to the upside this year. With that said, there are a few remarkable aspects to this hurricane season that pertain to a topic I've long discussed as being overly discounted in hurricane forecasting... Saharan dust.

An estimated 187,291 pages of recovered and investigative material from local authorities on Palm Beach, to federal authorities in D.C. with what's been investigated by those in congressional committees and attorneys for related parties. Sounds like a fun quick read, right? And that's some of the irony here. Even if “all” of those docs are released – no one is actually going to read all of them...that is at least for years. Consider this... If you read at the speed of the average person – 275 words per minute, it would take you 3,408 hours – or the equivalent of 142 days to work through them. If you dedicated two hours of your day every day to making your way through the files it would take you 4.7 years. Even if you made reading the Epstein Files your career – it would take you over a year. The only entity reading through all of the files will be AI with prompts looking for certain names.

While there's a great deal of emotion for many involved in this topic, as always there are two sides to stories and one side to facts, so let's break those down as it relates to today's question(s). The first question is potentially more complicated than it may seem. That's due to what Israel is – a Jewish state.

The past week featured the signing of the Continuing Resolution into law, ending the longest partial government shutdown in history. The president has also proposed a change to the way Obamacare subsidies are paid going forward. Rather than subsidizing ACA plans on the exchange, sending money directly to health insurance companies, President Trump is proposing the money be provided through Health Savings accounts that would be able to be used for the health care needs of the recipients to pursue their choice of healthcare options. President Trump also announced new trade deals with El Salvador, Argentia, Ecuador and Guatemala and what was billed as a historic trade deal with Switzerland that will grant U.S. companies unprecedented access to sell into the country's markets.

It's time to make it happen and finally put this to rest (with, btw – the potential for real accountability with high profile people being taken down next).

The average American's actual healthcare expense is only 26% of what the cost of their health insurance policy costs The average ACA policy subsidy is $4,213 more than what the actual cost of healthcare is

Over the weekend something happened that needed to happen. The band-aid was ripped off the stitched together and increasingly frayed relationship between President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Green.

14,200 fewer drug overdose deaths through the first two months of President Trump's campaign projects to greater than 85,000 fewer lives lost to illicit drugs over a full year. There's been much debate about the legality of the president's campaign, whether it's warranted, etc. These remarkable early figures speak for themselves.

It was a wild ride for the major indexes in effectively ending the week where they started, but that's essentially what happened. A significant early week relief rally on news of a deal to end the longest partial government shutdown in history gave way to significant selling of big tech/AI names as concerns of a potential bubble with related companies led to a short-lived selloff that abated by the end of the week.

It's time for Florida to win at everything. It's what Governor DeSantis has proposed that we do. It's something that's demonstrably possible for us to do. So, the question is who will you support? What is it you will support? The answer should be obvious.

Its clear President Trump has chosen to use the effective lessons of the past as a strategy to deal with current day challenges as well...and as noted – it's already proven to be a profitable strategy

For 43 days 34% of the federal government was offline and the impact on the average American remained...absolutely nothing. In the end only about 27% of Americans felt a direct impact from the longest federal government shutdown in American history that proved to be every bit as stupid as every shutdown before it because we're exactly where we were before, which has always been the case when these have happened before.

You've raised a great point that dates back to the original Barrack Obama lie that under the “Affordable Care Act”, “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor and if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan”. The first of many lies made by President Obama and Democrats was so pervasive, Politifact cited 37 times Obama made that statement publicly in attempting to rally the support for the ACA to get it through congress – and it was Politifact's Lie of the Year in 2013.

Recently Governor DeSantis announced a huge step forward with the Everglades Restoration Plan with the groundbreaking of the new inflow pump station as part of the EAA Reservoir project which is aimed at permanently ending harmful east-west discharges out of Lake Okeechobee. Two of the southern reservoirs with the EAA project have been completed and the final key piece that will be central to sending effectively all water south into the Everglades, which is the natural flow.

hat's true of the partial government shutdown as it's now on its 43rd day. That's appearing to be true as far as the political career of the shutdown architect, it's looking worse for that guy by the day.

Today is day 42 of the partial government shutdown, what's now the longest in American history by a full week. It's also the 42nd day you still likely haven't been impacted by the shutdown in anyway. Congratulations for having survived for six full weeks without 34% of the federal government operating.

On balance there appears to be a bit of an information disconnect about this recently enacted state law. In 2023, prior to the passage of the legislation, 51% of Florida's renters surveyed said they would opt for a reasonable non-refundable fee given the opportunity as 72% of renters said they struggled to come up with the needed money for first, last and a security deposit.

As of Friday, 91% of companies reported earnings for the third quarter with 13.1% year-over-year growth, which is much stronger than the 7.9% expected. This week will likely be a pivotal week as investors weigh whether a correction is the next step for the market or if last week's tech selling is just a pause. Much of that will likely come down to if the shutdown ends. Related, the monthly inflation reports (CPI and PPI) are scheduled for Thursday though they may likely be delayed by the shutdown.
