A U.S. Tomahawk cruise missile struck a girls' school in the Iranian city of Minab during strikes on an adjacent Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base. The attack killed at least 165-175 people, most of them children inside the school. The Pentagon has launched a formal investigation into the incident. President Trump was asked about the strike in multiple press interactions, where he suggested that Iran could be responsible and stated he did not know enough details while noting that the Pentagon is investigating. Iranian authorities have condemned the attack as a deliberate war crime carried out by the United States and Israel. Trump Endorses Jake Paul. VA Wants to Institutionalize Homeless Vets. The Loud X Minority. We Need An Indy to Run vs Fetterman. Italy Wins, Saves USA.  Trump's Iran war is spiraling, controversy is overflowing, the world is in chaos, enemies are celebrating, the VA is quietly grabbing new power over homeless vets, and John Fetterman is MIA on a horrific school strike in Iran—so Paul fires up the mic for a solo episode that pulls no punches and looks around the corner at what's coming next. From Iran to California drone threats, from outrageous “war slop” videos out of the White House to the FBI playing fanboy with UFC fighters at Quantico, this episode is a rapid-fire briefing for independent Americans who refuse to drink the bullshit both parties are serving. Paul breaks down why most Americans are not as divided as the algorithms want you to believe, why independents (especially in Pennsylvania and South Carolina) are the real sleeping giant, and how celebrity, culture, sports and even the Paralympics are being weaponized in this new era of global conflict. He closes with a powerful, emotional story of a high school hockey player who turned unimaginable loss into a double-overtime miracle—and a reminder that heroism, community and hope are still out there if you know where to look. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Learn more about Paul's work to elect a new generation of independent leaders with Independent Veterans of America. -Learn more about American Veterans for Ukraine here. -Learn more about The Headstrong Project for Veterans, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), and Department of Veterans Affairs resources in your area. Chuck Todd opens the episode with a blunt assessment: it's starting to feel like the beginning of the end of Donald Trump's presidency. From an open-ended war in Iran to a cratering stock market, Trump finds himself sinking deeper into what Chuck calls "presidential quicksand," with every show of strength only revealing more weakness. Chuck breaks down the staggering early costs of the Iran conflict — over 1,000 casualties and $6 billion spent in just one week — and asks the question no one in Washington seems willing to answer: does anyone actually have an exit strategy? On the economy, the latest jobs report is sending ominous signals. With slow growth, rising prices, and tariff uncertainty dominating the economic discourse, Chuck makes the case that the swing voters who put Trump back in the White House for his perceived economic expertise are the first ones who'll walk away when their wallets take the hit. Corporate America is also starting to find its backbone. From Anthropic refusing to strip safety guardrails to Netflix walking away from a bad deal, Chuck sees a telling pattern: companies are pushing back on a president who looks weak. Finally, Chuck takes an illuminating detour into his "Time Machine" segment, tracing how communication technology has permanently reshaped the American presidency, from Alexander Graham Bell’s first phone call, to FDR's fireside chats, all the way to Trump’s constant social media use. Plus, Chuck answers listener questions touching subjects like the potential similarities between Pearl Harbor and Trump’s Iran strikes, NIL in college sports, what's really going on with Democrats’ reactions to politicians like John Fetterman straying from the party line, and James Talarico’s bid for Congress. Legendary documentarian Ken Burns joins the Chuck Toddcast for a sweeping conversation about American history, the craft of telling it honestly, and why historical perspective has never mattered more than it does right now. Burns addresses head-on the criticism that his work is "woke," arguing that his documentaries have a perspective but it's not left versus right — he wants to call balls and strikes, and the truth shouldn't be something people fear. He offers a striking defense of nuance, noting that the Republican Party has been the most successful political party on earth and that his life's work has been about making films about both the U.S. and "us" — the complicated, contradictory people who built and continue to shape the country. Burns discusses his latest project on the American Revolution, which he insists he didn't intentionally time to the 250th anniversary, and reveals he's also working on a film about Reconstruction and potentially a documentary on the Cold War. He walks through his rigorous process for evaluating source material, the challenge of needing great actors to bring the founders to life, and how those founders were obsessively focused on virtue — creating something genuinely new in human history while writing a Constitution brilliant enough to endure centuries but unable to foresee Congress voluntarily abdicating its own power. The conversation takes a fascinating philosophical turn as they explore the recurring patterns of American history: the manufacture of fear as a tool for authoritarians, the repeated failure of using government to force social change, and the way religion has been wielded as a cudgel by governments despite the founders being explicitly against a national religion. Burns offers a revealing window into his methodology, explaining that you need 25 to 30 years of distance before you can responsibly cover a historical subject, and that Trump's presidency has effectively constipated the scholarship on the Obama era because the two will be forever intertwined in history. He notes that views on Vietnam's legacy shifted vastly over decades, and that the passage of time is essential for triangulating toward truth — take historians for their knowledge, not always their perspective. Meanwhile, critics from Thomas Massie to Marjorie Taylor Greene question whether this move aligns with “America First.”On the left, reactions range from media sympathy headlines to shocking commentary from activists and politicians, including Kamala Harris, Jane Fonda, and Cenk Uygur. Today on Joe Oltmann Untamed, Joe's fired up and ready to unpack President Trump's State of the Union address, the best one Joe has ever heard. Trump laid it all out, calling out Democrats for sitting on their hands while he honored victims of illegal immigration, slamming Sanctuary cities and policies, and exposing the hypocrisy of leaders like NYC's Mamdani who demand ID to shovel snow but not to vote. He outed the Democrats all night. This wasn't just a speech, it was a masterclass in putting Americans first.I'm joined by Kyle Seraphin, the recovering FBI whistleblower who's seen the deep state up close, to break down what's really happening behind the scenes. From Kash Patel's questionable moves to the left's open threats of firings, arrests, and lawsuits if they regain power, we're connecting the dots on how the system protects itself while patriots like Tina Peters pay the price. This is about more than politics, it's about the survival of the republic. We close with the raw contrast: Joy Reid's vulgar “People's State of the Union” meltdown, Fetterman sounding like the sanest Democrat in the room, and Spanberger's Virginia agenda that's already attacking gun rights, redistricting, and election integrity. Trump's closing words will leave you fired up and ready to fight. This episode is unfiltered, no-holds-barred truth don't miss it.

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Proof of Life in an AI Age Clay Travis and Buck Sexton begin by highlighting President Donald Trump’s remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, where he addressed faith in public life, new Department of Education guidance reaffirming the right to prayer in public schools, and ongoing federal responses to unrest and crime in major U.S. cities, including Minneapolis. They preview Trump’s wide‑ranging interview with NBC News’ Tom Llamas, which becomes a central theme throughout the hour. A major portion of Hour 1 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show is devoted to the alarming and emotional kidnapping case involving the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie. The hosts play audio from Guthrie’s public plea and analyze the unusual nature of a modern‑day ransom kidnapping in the United States. Clay and Buck discuss why the crime appears targeted rather than random, speculate on possible inside knowledge of the victim’s home and routines, and explore why this type of crime is now rare in America compared to other parts of the world. They also examine how advances in surveillance, DNA evidence, and digital tracking make successful ransom kidnappings increasingly difficult. Throughout the segment, they note that President Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel have committed significant federal resources to the case, underscoring its national visibility and seriousness. Kamala Woofs? A lively and humorous debate about the future of the Democratic Party, centered on Vice President Kamala Harris and the 2028 presidential race. Clay Travis sharply mocks what he characterizes as Kamala Harris’s inauthentic political style, using her recent “Kamala HQ” announcement as an example, and compares it to a famously absurd storyline from The Office. This sparks a prolonged back‑and‑forth between Clay and Buck over whether Harris will run for president again—and whether she could realistically become the Democratic nominee. Clay argues that Harris is likely to run and could benefit from changes to the Democratic primary calendar that elevate Southern states with large Black Democratic electorates, while Buck strongly disagrees, insisting that her past electoral failures and poor performance in swing states make her nomination politically disastrous. The conversation broadens into a larger analysis of Democratic strategy, race, primary politics, and voter turnout. Clay suggests Democrats may once again make a risky strategic decision based on identity politics and narrow electoral margins, while Buck counters that party elites will ultimately coalesce around a different candidate, particularly California Governor Gavin Newsom. Throughout the hour, the hosts reference betting odds, past primary performances, and voter behavior to argue their competing cases, turning their disagreement into an ongoing bet that becomes a recurring and entertaining thread. Clay's Needle and Poop Walk Clay delivers an extended firsthand account of his morning walk through downtown San Francisco ahead of Super Bowl weekend. Broadcasting from the iHeartRadio studios in the city, he describes being advised not to walk for safety reasons and then encountering widespread homelessness, drug use, abandoned needles, and human feces along a short route in the city’s core. Clay uses the experience to argue that urban decay, public drug use, and lack of sanitation are policy failures, contending that visible filth and disorder directly correlate with higher crime rates and declining quality of life in major American cities like San Francisco and Washington, D.C. A central segment of Hour 3 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show features a detailed live update from Daily Wire reporter Lynden Blake, who monitored the full Arizona press conference on the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping. Blake confirms that a single ransom note was sent to multiple outlets, demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin, with an initial deadline the same day and a secondary deadline the following Monday accompanied by explicit threats. She explains why authorities believe the notes are credible, citing accurate descriptions of the crime scene, and discusses lingering questions about security cameras, possible inside knowledge of the home, and inconsistencies regarding forced entry. The hosts also explore the family’s request for proof of life and the challenges posed by AI‑generated imagery, underscoring how modern technology complicates hostage negotiations. Sen. Dave McCormick A substantive interview with Senator Dave McCormick, who addresses major national and state policy concerns. McCormick discusses the growing national debt, massive federal deficits, and what he views as Washington’s unwillingness to enact even modest spending reforms. He criticizes resistance to work requirements for able‑bodied Medicaid recipients and warns that without structural changes, entitlement programs will collapse under their own weight. McCormick also speaks at length about bipartisan cooperation in Pennsylvania, highlighting his working relationship with Democratic Senator John Fetterman, their shared stance on issues like fentanyl, energy production, Israel, and government shutdowns, and his willingness to publicly defend Fetterman when he was attacked by his own party. Election integrity and voting laws are another focal point, as McCormick strongly advocates for the SAVE Act and nationwide voter ID requirements. He argues that requiring proof of citizenship is a basic safeguard supported by overwhelming majorities of both Republicans and Democrats and says lawmakers must publicly justify opposition to voter ID to restore trust in U.S. elections. The conversation then shifts to the economy, where McCormick credits President Donald Trump’s tax cuts, deregulation, and energy policies with fueling major investment in Pennsylvania, including tens of billions of dollars committed to energy infrastructure and data centers. He frames U.S. energy dominance and AI development as critical components of global competition, particularly with China. SEASON 4 EPISODE 53: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: Alex Pretti may not have been murdered by Trump's Paramilitary Death Squad AS a warning to American governors and mayors and citizens, but the Trump Dictatorship is exploiting the state-sponsored terrorism against a VA Nurse to issue that warning anyway: You "better support President Trump," said Attorney General Bondi. The implied threat that followed was easy to decipher: if you don't, ICE won't leave your city alone and it won't leave you ALIVE. Bondi's comment came as she explained her (extortion) letter to Governor Walz, offering to remove ICE and Border Patrol from Minnesota providing Walz gives the DOJ records and data and especially his voter rolls. Because it's easier to fix elections if you have the voter rolls. But behind it was the bigger picture: “We sent Governor Walz a very strong letter today. We got it out saying that he BETTER SUPPORT PRESIDENT TRUMP. He better support the men and women in law enforcement because if he doesn’t, we are, and that’s what we’re doing right now.” The United States of America is at this moment without a functioning government. In place of a government, it has a Trump terrorist organization, enforced by a paramilitary death squad, Proud ICE Boys, masked gunmen, street gangs in Nazi leather trenchcoats. We are without a government and we are without a functioning Constitution and we are without a functioning president. We are destabilized – from within – by state sponsored terrorism. Our OWN state. With our OWN terrorist – the worst terrorist this nation has ever faced: Donald John Trump. What to do about it? It starts with the Democrats in the Senate not just attacking ICE funding but shutting all funding down, indefinitely. This Trump junta must be broken. B-Block (35:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: We could devote the segment just to those idiots who defended ICE after the Renee Good murder and are now done, professionally. But we'll limit it to three medalists and some runners-up: two New York Post writers, Tony Dokoupil, Senator Fetterman, Clay Travis, Scott Jennings, Stephen A. Smith C-Block (47:00) COMIC RELIEF: THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: New year, new round-numbered anniversaries. 30 years ago I was wined and dined by a Chicago radio station that was willing to double my salary and build their franchise around me if I quit SportsCenter. And they convinced me to do it. And then half an hour before I was going to say 'let's make it happen' they... took the station off the air.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
