Uber Loud Records are with you once again, this time following the gig on 20th June at the Vic. It's been too long since our last acoustic podcast at riffs, but the wait is finally over!!Thanks to everyone who came along, so many infact we had to decamp to the large room! Some blinding performances from Claire Sutton, Dominic French and Arc, plus an interview with Claire. Three great local acts.Claire collaborates with Josh Kumra quite often, so you know you're in safe hands as she mixes some great covers with her own well written pieces.Dominic played an epic 45 minute set of some of the most heartfelt tunes, while arc finished the night off with obligatory bongos and egg shakers to create the perfect end to a brilliant nightInterviews with Dominic French and Arc will follow in future podcasts!

Following the amazingly loud gig at the Vic on 18th January, we decided to take a more toned down approach for this podcast. The Follys will feature in the next Uber Loud Records gig at the 12 bar on 13th February so it seemed only fair to give them some coverage.Then in a female vocalist extravaganza, Rapport and Claire bring some of their melodic offerning from Marlborough.Thanks for listening.

Happy New Year everyone!This is the Christmas Uber Loud Records Podcast! OK, so it's slightly late, but festivities have taken over and led to the late arrival of this audio feast!Nevertheless, Stuart and I have some crazy sounds from Sheffield band The Prometheus Project, and Swindon band Broken Daylight; from whom we here a brand new track.Also a look ahead to the ULR gigs in 2008! This week we look back at the Riffs ULR gig on Friday 30th November. Many thanks to those who came along. Apologies for the lack of audio content from the gig, reasons explained in the podcast!Search Party and Rats Ruined My Brain are two of the bands playing at the next Uber Loud Records gig on Friday 4th January at The Vic in Old Town, Swindon.We also feature From Great Height (the band for which Gary plays the drums). They're first gig ever is on Friday 7th December, so if you like what you hear, get on down to the Fiddlers Elbow in Camden at 7:30pm!Thanks as usual for listening..... promise we'll have interviews and recordings after the next gig!

Looking ahead to the next Uber Loud Records showcase at Riffs on Friday 30th November, we feature 2 bands playing there, The 211 and Otoko. We also have a listen to Josh Kumra, one of the artists featured on the first ULR compilation CD, Uber Swindon 2007. It's is still on sale, get yours now on the website, www.uberloudrecords.co.uk. We've focussed mainly on the music this time round, but after the Riffs gig they'll be some live features and maybe an interview or two. Cheers

Mr. Gourley proudly made his debut on Swindon radio station Brunel FM this week! He interviewed Nizlopi and Jimmy Davis for their show at The 12 Bar. The audio is hear. Apologies for the poor quality of the recording, I had to dust off my old FM radio as they don't broadcast in DAB! (sorry, I promise that will be the last geeky comment I ever make for Uber Loud Records!)

Describing themselves as Ultra Pop, we were grateful to recieve a song from them!Swindon band Pause. Break. Back in the conservatory again, we bring you three brilliant bands, and more info on the forthcoming launch gig for Uber Loud Records, Friday 31st August.First up in this podcast is Holden Lane from Evesham, with influences listed as Oasis, The Libs and Shaggy, this is bound to be interesting!Next is New Black Light Machine from South Wales, they have been playing as a band since Sept 06, thier influences include Wine, Joy Division and The FullLast, but by no means least is The Purple Streams, brilliant band since 2005 from Swindon, playing live at the Wroughton festival on 7th July.
